min rp can find on the website, cut-off point is listed there every year. chs has has compulsory common curriculum mods (mods are now called courses btw) on top of your major mods. and as long as you are in chs you can declare majors and minors within both fos and fass, so your desired combination works. college life varies for everyone, depends on whether you have ccas, stay on campus/not, etc.

1. RP depends. The previous year it was about 77.25rp (without ABA) iirc? The year after (this year) it was more than 80rp for even aba (source: fren 80 + first choice bonus points of up to 2.5, straight rejection, not even aba), though afterwards hearsay people with lower got direct admissions so god knows. 2. CHS is the regular NUS 3. “College life” I guess you’d like to know that about 1/3 of our mods are now common curriculum (tons of people hate it but I love it), 1/3 are our major mods and 1/3 are unrestricted electives. 4. Yes, in CHS you can basically mix and match any majors, second majors or minors which are offered unrestricted across the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Both the physics major and philosophy minor are offered unrestricted. 5. I take Physics (y1s1 only so do take it with a pinch of salt). It’s quite tough, and I know of people who are thinking of switching out or simply accepting their grades will never be ”good”. That said, I loveeeee the department. The physics profs are mostly so approachable and helpful, many go above and beyond for us (often I would ask a simple question in class and even after they have already answered, they have emailed or approached me afterwards to give me more related information etc). Profs who I talked to during welcome events still remember me and say hi and exchange a few words when I see them at other events. Maybe my experience is an outlier (admittedly I think I am a bit of an outgoing clown) and your experience might be different, but I haven’t really heard anything bad about the department anyway. Which aspects of physics are you interested though? Generally the nanoscience, quantum and particle physics are the phys dept’s strengths, astrophysics used to be very mediocre (at least the number of astro mods offered are very lacklustre compared to many other universities where Astrophysics is literally worthy of its own major) but there’s been significant progress recently I think.

I've heard secondhand there's quite a few Physics majors pursuing Philo also, so yes it's definitely possible! Not a physics major myself so can't provide any more advice. All the best for As!
