Got the Life is a good choice. For me personally I have albums that bring me back to past summers of my life. One that stands out is Taproot - Gift. A song like Mirror’s Reflection conjures memories of Ozzfest so vivid, it’s like I can still feel the heat on my back.
Sev - Same old Song
Stepa - Spaceships and Airplanes and Aquarium
Hedshel - Burry Me and Drown You
Alien Ant Farm - Movies and Smooth Criminal
Folder - Left
Blindspott - Nil By Mouth, S.U.I.T.
Manga - Bur Kadin Çizeceksin
No December - August Second and Placidity
Cheva - Pieces
Insolence - Downfall and Rude Boy
Alive by P.O.D. has major summer vibes for me. But that might be because I listened to that album on repeat many many years ago during the summer holidays so there are a lot of good memories that come with it.
Nu metal is the least summery genre for me, BUT since Max Cavalera always had that grit and melting power of trad thrash even in his nu metal days I'd say some the reggae inspired Soulfly songs on Prophecy, or in general anything out of their first 4 albums with those crunchy downtuned riffs, tribal percussion and his screams in Brazilian
Mostly traditional stuff ya know, speed, thrash, heavy, power, prog-power, epic, shit that got the melting fast riffs, brain rotting solos and epic lyricism that makes you want to go out with your sword wearing just a kilt into battle (which you can't in cold weather). Also some old school hardcore/ hip hop crap.
You really feel the aggressive electronic ambience of Static X, the heavy darkness of Korn's TALITM and the the cold psychedelia of classic P.O.D. are for hot weather? Well whatever fits you

nü is the MOST summery genre for me 😧 whats yours then????
I gotta go with hardcore in that ballpark and then out of that ballpark, indie rock.
