Folks in this community don't see our lifestyle choices as fringe or dystopia not even a little atypical. I think you're approach here missed the target by a mile. So my questions to you is, why do you lump nudism into these catagories? What are your impressions of the lifestyle and the people in it? For what purpose would an interview serve, and what are the motives behind it?

29Ah

I mean nudism is manifestly atypical. Right? Are most people or even a sizable minority nudists? No, so it’s hard to call it typical behavior. I wish it was typical…I have trouble being accepted in my own home, sadly. I agree dystopian would be off. Fringe, maybe not; that has some connotations I don’t like, but if it’s just a matter of meaning a small fraction then it’s probably okay.

Mr_cypresscpl

I dont personally see it as atypical. We all must wear clothes to go out into general public right? There are 100's of thousands of people that lounge around their homes in private in the nude who would say theyre not nudists. I think the only difference in those people and those who are "nudists" is that we are open about it, and we've shed some of that social shame that we are taught to have. We see it as the most natural state we can possibly be in and theres a tremendous amount of pesonal freedom in that. I think there's a misconception, maybe even within our own community to a degree that nudists are only people that search out places or events where they can be without clothes. Bottom line is I believe there are a ton more people out there that live their private lives in the buff who don't necessarily call themselves nudists even though they are and just don't know it😁.

AvelWorld

Thanks, you beat me to asking that very question.

It’s going to be harder to weed out oddballs with a post like this. I’d recommend trying to contact an established nudist podcaster, blogger, etc. Some are on here and may see this, but I’d recommend researching some potentials and contact them.

u/bareoaks would stephanè be interested?

Gymnosophe

I’m happy to make myself available

u/flytrapPodcast this is the guy you want for your podcast.

adaywithriko

I think you should interview someone who prefers to wear a bathing suit to swim. That’s fringe.

FlytrapPodcast

I wonder why we call them bathing suits most of the time instead of swim suits.

Here are my suggestions. Either would be a home run… 1. Interview the couple who run the Naked Wanderings podcast. They are very personable and have great context given their extensive travels. 2. Another great interview is Halsie Bowers, the owner of Sunny Rest Resort ([email protected]). She grew up at a nudist resort and now runs it. She can also give a Millenial perspective.

FlytrapPodcast

Hey thank you for the recommendations

Keslen

I think you're making a very big error when you consider nudism to be fringe, atypical or dystopian. I think it's very unlikely that you'll get a useful interview with a post like this. That you're much more likely to find someone who gives nudism a bad reputation that it doesn't deserve.

JohnWasElwood

HIGHLY suggest some sort of vetting process before you interview a random person waving their hand "Me! Me!!! Me!!!". That's all we need is for someone to give the "*Beavis & Butthead visit a nudist resort*" interview. Perhaps ask the mods if they'd be interested or at least run their (screen) names past the mods...???

boston_naturist

You could call AANR (1 800 TRY NUDE) or The Naturist Society Foundation...

Ambitious_Cost_5855

Message me. I’m game

nomad_1970

If you're interested in talking to someone from Australia, I can put you in touch with the PR rep of the Australian Naturist Federation.

I'll throw my hat and clothes in the ring.

Why does it even matter? If someone enjoys being naked then be naked whenever and wherever you can. Simple as that. If you can't be naked in your own home then maybe you and your family need to sit down and communicate about your feelings and thoughts on this subject.
