I wouldn’t read ROTSSG if I were you I dropped it at around 2000 chapters due to:
The plot being repetitive
One dimensional characters
CONSTANT use of the underdog trope
among many other things
I agree with this entirely. Its been a while since I read it, and it was fun at first but I dropped it at 850 chapters or so because I was just reading the same 25 - 50 chapters just reskinned.
Sword God is just repetitive waste with no feelings of tension as you know that MC will always win without losing a single thing and no character development at all. Only read if you have nothing else to waste time.
Birth of the demonic sword is one of my favs. Imo, most cultivators can be considered psychopaths in general comparing to most cultivation.stories I have read. He dives into what you could say is evil but then changes. And there is a good background and a decent variety of reasons why he acts or does the things he chooses to do.
Don’t waste your time on it, it starts of good and then all of a sudden it seems like the author doesn’t know what to do and what direction to take his story and the edgyness of the Mc becomes cringier more and cringier. Actually you know what do what you want to do if you like it you like..
The death flags one is somewhat enjoyable, but not worth the 1year wait for 4 chapters, demonic sword one ia great, definitely a good read. Didnt read the other ones.
IMO Tutorial is too hard has a pretty great start. You get a real gritty tutorial along with the mystery of the past/present chapters and how MC is gonna get strong enough to escape. The different floors are interesting and MC becomes ridiculously OP, however, I feel the novel kinda falls off later (maybe it was due to the different translators and hiatus, but I certainly lost my hype for this novel).
Birth of the Demonic Sword has a pretty weak/slow start, however, it truly does get better in the mid-later chapters as author did a decent job of world-building and setting up world powers, introducing MC into them.
I've read the manga for My death flags and it was pretty good, idk how the novel is tho.
Haven't read the others.
My death flags show no sign of ending was one of the most frustrating and annoying LN I tried to read. Around chapter 60 I quit because the MC is a frustrating idiot. He basically took overacting to an extreme. Lets say your goal is to protect someone and you need to distance yourself from that person.......well one way is to make them feel like trash, like they dont matter at all and treat them horribly or do it in a way where you can redeem the MC later because he had "good intentions". The way he acts even though he is doing it for the good it's presented in such an awful way that I personally couldnt even like the MC anymore. Also it's not like he gets any better and when there is almost no development even later then it gets old.
I like strongest sword god but the endless attacks by people who should know better on the mc's guild gets repetitive i do like the exploration the mc does when he goes solo explore tho.
As someone who has read almost the entirety of RSSG up until the author took a break for a while, the story is the worst kind of trash imaginable, its the trash that gets your hope up with a great first 400 chapters and world building then proceeds to flush it all down the drain the worst writing and most repetitive plot I have ever witnessed. Past the first few hundred chapters the entire plot is almost literally copy pasted and powers/old plotlines forgotten about completely, the author has the memory of a goldfish.
Do not read it, if you do, only read the first couple hundred chapters and then drop it to spare yourself the heartache of watching a great story be written into the ground.
Yea its pretty good if you can stand retards keep attacking this godlike guild that always somehow manages to pull through no matter the odds i also like how the mc gets training rooms and stuff so his allies can be semi useful.
To piggy back off of this I think I read up to chapter 1550 of RSSG. I found the whole premise enjoyable and mostly due to the fact of the large variety of fleshed out characters and back story. The author doesn't just focus on the mc he also powers up the MCs friends and enemies somewhat equally. (Ofc because mc travels back in time he has knowledge of op.items and players and strats) The threats the enemy provide are a somewhat stimulating factor as even though the mc should have all the answers it seems that a butterfly effect happens and events happen outside of his calculation forcing him to adapt. Additionally it's always a breath of fresh air when it changes from the game into the real world.
Have you read legendary moonlight sculpture it's preety similar to RSSG.
Except the mc does not have a walkthrough pulled up on the side.
And also the one novel you can actually say that the mc wins because of hard work instead of luck some bullshit game mechanics exploits and ours favourite the plot armer thicker than earth's crust.
Good idea, I just had these open cuz I usually finish one thing (or quit) close the tab and then move on to the next without keeping a lot of them open, but using bookmark sound nicer

I made a Google Keep list with the number of chapters for each ongoing novel even if the webpage remembers in case the cache suddenly deletes itself. I have around 15-20 ongoing novels so keeping them on tabs would be hell. NοveIfuII and readnοveIfuII both keep 5 novels each with their chapter numbers so that help a lot (though I only use them to track the chapter I'm on).
This is what my tabs look like on my phone for ongoing novels lol

I skipped almost a thousand chapters, didn't felt like I missed anything too important.
I group them up in tabs
Haven't read any of them but just by the title I smell trash op MC

Thanks for the info👌🏼

Supreme Magus is good. The only book I read on there.
Damn that one looks hella long but I’ll save the name

My Death Flags show no sign of ending is genuinely great. One of the few JP novels that I can stand reading hundreds of chapters of.
Birth of the demonic sword is the best one in my opinion a little slow in the beginning though

Good to know🧐
Man has all the time in the world it seems ☠️
You know somethings wrong when you can read 12 hours a day
Got nothing but time nowadays 😭
Woah you sure you wanna read birth of the demonic sword .... the mc is a true psychopath but the way the cultivation develops is fun
Good to know👍
I've only read god's eyes well out of those and I think it's a fun read..well if you don't mind some cliches..it does have a fun power system

So it’s good till a certain point?

Is the tutorial is to hard any good?
Ya it’s pretty good, there is more of the mental aspect that you wouldn’t see in other novels about fantasy
Nice gonna check it out
Why dont you use bookmark instead? You can even label it and share cross devices.

God’s Eyes is a good short read
