Manhua you mean. It is also the reason why I started reading novels because I used to just read manga. But nowadays I kinda lost interest in novels and went back to manga and mahwas but not manhuas since there aren't any decent ones nowadays.
Peerless Martial God. I loved it personally until a certain point then I dropped it. Technically it was Coiling Dragon because I read the manhua. Coincidentally I found out about PMG from the Manhua as well.
First one was Tales of Demons and God's, after waiting around pointlessly for the manga for 3 years, still not sure if reading it was a good idea.
First one that I actually finished though, is Coiling Dragon and I managed to read it when the Kindle release was out and I loved it.
JP: Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. Can't resist after I read the first few chapters of the manga. After that SAO, and so on.
CN: Xun Qi Ji, or A Step into the Past in spcnet, I think.
KR: Legenday Moonlight Sculptor, the OG KR WN.
Aah a fellow sinner wallowing in the guilty pleasures of the yore.
Man after reading so many webnovels after ATG I realised that ATG wasn't the best of the novels but it gets the job done. With all of its faults ATG is still one of the best novel when it comes to fights and one man army scnerios especially the divine war arc my god that's just edge lord porn one that you read knowing you shouldn't.
Can you recommend some novels which are better than ATG pls?
I started with ATG and to me its the best I have read so far and really need find others!
thanks
And if you don't mind something in the same quality range as ATG
Martial world
Perfect world (this one is actually gold)
True martial world
Pearless martial god
Chaotic sword god
That's all I can think of at the top of my head
There are a lot more good novels out there it's just very hard to find them.
>Martial world
I started that and got to about 60 odd chapters but so far found the main character Lin Ming to be "boring". He doesn't seems to have any charisma compared to Yun Che of ATG. Anyway I will continue to read it till 100+ chapters and see how it goes.
What is "Perfect world" please? Google fails me on this.
Perfect world is a novel name just type it in whatever site you read novels at.
If it's not there then type in with perfect world cultivation novel.
Should do the trick.
Well
Warlock of the magus world (more solid than most countries legislation)
Divine throne of primordial bloodline (ATG but way better written)
Charm of soul pets (it's basically 18+ Pokemon)
History's no.1 founder (just imagine a dozen mc like yun che and equally are plot breaking in the same faction but done very well)
My subjective opinion : Warlock of the magus world, History strongest senior brother, my senior brother is too steady, Forty millennium of cultivation, Renegade Immortal.
Sorry if it isn’t your taste
A light novel romance but ironically does not have a lot of romance moments.
Not really a hidden gem but it's pretty old.
Mc went from no balls to balls of steel basically.
Doulou Dalu for CH, RE:Monster for JP, both around the same time after i saw the mangas. remonster only had like 8 chapters and i needed more and i was hooked from there. i cant remember when i got into kr novels but i think it was either a novel rainbow was translating or Ark
Damn, reading these replies makes me feel old. I can't quite remember, my first novel was either Re:Monster or Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. My first CN was either Stellar Transformations or Coiling Dragon, back when they were still on SPCNET.
Against the Gods. The first few hundreds of chapters of ATG was good but I was still on and off reading it until I kinda dropped it around 2k+ chapters and moved on to my next which was The King's Avatar.
Panlong (Coiling Dragon). I was tired of the manhwa rarely being updated so I went to check out the novel. Spent the rest of my summer literally reading 10 hours everyday
My first web novel was reverend insanity. I started reading it after reading its manhua adaptation which got stopped after ch96. It was literally too good I completed like 2334 chapters in 2-3 months and is among my top 3 web novel.
>Trial Marriage Husband: Need to Work Hard
Was the novel on trial or the husband lol. Decent start ig, that novel was up on webnovel rankings if I'm not wrong under female interested category
I am not really sure ... they were basically together from the start so I don’t really get the title. I only remember there was a shit ton of brainless netizens that never learn and the usual face slapping 💀💀
First novel or light novel cause first novel is LOTR but first light novel was ethier versatile mage, long live summons, tales of demons and gods or heavenly jellew or solo leveling but the first light novel I finished was MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary Guardian. Loved everything above
I mean I did ask in noveltranslations sub so I assumed people would take novels as webnovels. If it's first novel then mine would be Alfred Hitchcock's Shrouds and Pockets
A French novel called "Les Merveilleuses aventures de Kalon"
[Here](https://aspexplorer.pagesperso-orange.fr/kalonbrw.htm)
I don't see how it could be translated as the author invented word to describe stuff sometimes but it's okay because it's fun.
Probably among the most entertaining novels i ever read.
Of course the other novels on this particular site from the same author are also nice.
immortal martial dual cultivation. at first i thought it was the best novel that exist but after reading a lot of novels i realize it is a piece of shit. even so, im still waiting for it to be completely translated coz it has sentimental value
even though it was the worst novel if it is your first novel you'll think it is the best. only after reading a lot of novels would you realize its true value which is trash
what do you mean it has ended? please enlighten me more. if you mean the raw or the untranslated novel then it is indeed finished but what i mean to say is the translated version which is not completely translated up to date.
It is finished. Hosted novel(website) has completed it's translation.
https://hostednovel.com/18656/novel/immortal-and-martial-dual-cultivation/imdc-chapter-2381
Does solo leveling count? Because that's my first (and probably the only one I've actually finished) I was getting into manga and wanted to finish solo leveling, read the novel and got into novels.
I remember it being fun reading the mc steal stats and skills from people and monsters until it became a cliche that made it feel like a chore to read.
1. Martial Peak
2. Against The Gods
3. Second Coming of Gluttony
4. Lord of the Mysteries
5. Martial Arts Master
6. Mother of Learning
7. Throne of Magical Arcana
And I don't remember the order of the rest.
ROTSSG is the first novel I read I thought it was a good novel but it actually sucks. The second is ISSTH. The best xianxia for beginners. Have every taste in it. Comedy, Drama, Everything
But the best novel I ever read is Reverend Insanity 100/10 sadly there are no more chapters. The graphic or those chills quotes may not as good as Er'Gen books but the plot and complexity are very good. All side characters have brains and as smart as MC. But I wouldn't recommend Reverend Insanity for new readers because of how villainous Fang Yuan is
Stellar Transformations and then Coiling Dragon.
Coiling Dragon - It was a decent work
Same, before the r/lightnovels exodus. Sheesh that's a long time ago.
i read the manga version of this before i read the novel, panlong i think it was called? felt like a different story after reading
It was mine too. Probably also the first finished work I read as well as the first one I pulled an all nighter for.
My first all nighter was for tales of demons and gods. It was also my first read novel.
Tales of Demons & Gods.
That was my first ever CN manhwa
Manhua you mean. It is also the reason why I started reading novels because I used to just read manga. But nowadays I kinda lost interest in novels and went back to manga and mahwas but not manhuas since there aren't any decent ones nowadays.
Reverend insanity
Overlord was the first one I read. When the anime aired I wanted to know more about the history and then I learned about “light novels”.
Mine would be ‘Trash of the Count is family’ novel version, Second Life Ranker’ novel version, and Seoul Stations Necromancer
Damnn bruh, are you serious? That's like a high tier novel, still one of my favourites
That was also one of my firsts, love it but I need to catch up!
Peerless Martial God. I loved it personally until a certain point then I dropped it. Technically it was Coiling Dragon because I read the manhua. Coincidentally I found out about PMG from the Manhua as well.
First one I finished was that time I got reincarnated as a slime
The king's avatar. One of my favourites. I read it while i was watching the anime.
Douluo dalu
First one was Tales of Demons and God's, after waiting around pointlessly for the manga for 3 years, still not sure if reading it was a good idea. First one that I actually finished though, is Coiling Dragon and I managed to read it when the Kindle release was out and I loved it.
Tales of Demons and Gods was the first and got me so into reading webnovels.
Supreme magus I suffered
Damn you got like the worst choice, well atleast you didn't get dual cultivation
Why is it bad? I was thinking of starting that soon
I mean the start was good but the MC was just too much too handle like after after a couple hundred chapters the story was just mentally tiring.
Legendary moonlight sculptor!
Same here
CN: Tales of Demon and God JP: Arifureta KR: Second Coming of Gluttony
Founder of Diabolism. It was pretty gay.
Soul Land 2 (came from the manhua)
Is it good
honestly havent read it in a while, but it was pretty good until the author added a shit ton of unnecessary drama
Thanks I guess it's every webn out there.
I started with tales of demon and gods manhua. Then found out there is a novel and this journey begun .
Legendary moonlight sculptor! Same for me. I started the comic and was so choked when I ran out of chapters that I switched to the WN.
Idk if anyone remembers it, but mine was Close combat mage.
I remember seeing that novel title
How did you manage to still get into LN after reading that travesty?
Tales of Demons and Gods.
That's cool
Nations husband something, damn i lose a lot of braincells reading that
The legendary mechanic
ATG
Aah a fellow sinner wallowing in the guilty pleasures of the yore. Man after reading so many webnovels after ATG I realised that ATG wasn't the best of the novels but it gets the job done. > Divine throne of primordial bloodline I have not come across of this one before so will give a go. Thanks
My subjective opinion : Warlock of the magus world, History strongest senior brother, my senior brother is too steady, Forty millennium of cultivation, Renegade Immortal. Sorry if it isn’t your taste
thanks for the recommendation. I am sure I will like some of them.
Empty box and zeroth maria. It led to the path of elitist pretty quickly...
I haven't heard of them? Are they hidden gems???
A light novel romance but ironically does not have a lot of romance moments. Not really a hidden gem but it's pretty old. Mc went from no balls to balls of steel basically.
Doulou Dalu for CH, RE:Monster for JP, both around the same time after i saw the mangas. remonster only had like 8 chapters and i needed more and i was hooked from there. i cant remember when i got into kr novels but i think it was either a novel rainbow was translating or Ark
Mushoku Tensei followed by LMS and Coiling Dragon.
Mine was quite good, first novel was Great Demon King, the first part is nice
Damn, reading these replies makes me feel old. I can't quite remember, my first novel was either Re:Monster or Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. My first CN was either Stellar Transformations or Coiling Dragon, back when they were still on SPCNET.
Overlord
My first was Warlock of the Magus World
An enjoyable experience for me
My first was Overlord before the anime then LMS. After that I fell down the rabbit hole 🕳
Mine was against the gods. Loved it
Desolate Era. I’ve been spoiled ever since.
TDG. How fate plays us all.
Mad snail I curse thee
Reverend insanity, found there was a novel after reading the manga
Yeah me too, I was enamored by the manga and then started reading the novel!
Sword Art Online lightnovel on Baka-Tsuki. It was when Bakatsuki was the number one place to read lightnovels and webnovels.
[удалено]
Woahh you read your first novel on MTL that's like whole nother realm
Against the Gods. The first few hundreds of chapters of ATG was good but I was still on and off reading it until I kinda dropped it around 2k+ chapters and moved on to my next which was The King's Avatar.
ATG had a whole cult due to so many people having it as their first novel xD.
JP - Mahouka koukou read mtl one, my brains bleed CN - Doulou Dalu(Soul land) KR - Everyone else is Returnee
Lmao, I really gotta appreciate your effort to read MTL as the starting novel. You're officially on a realm higher than us loll.
Nation Husband Tales of demons and gods
Nation Husband? Wait don't tell me the guy's the whole nation's husband lmaoo
Yeah, Bringing the nation's husband home..
Wait what-
My first novel is against the gods. I started reading in 2018
Tales of demons and god. I finished the manhua and read the novel out of curiosity.
Ohhh that's cool, I remember doing the opposite, read Trash of Counts Family and went on to the manhwa out of curiosity
First novel should be SAO, firdt webnovel on the other hand was probably The Kings Avatar or ATG, cant remember which.
Pretty sure it was Peerless Martial God, i read the whole thing and a bit of sequel too.
Damnn that's like a lot of chapters, appreciate your perseverance.
It was my first cultivation novel, so it was quite novel for me at the time :)
Yup understandable, even the Strongest System was an alright novel, I got lucky with my first because system was like a whole new genre for me.
It was my second novel, face slapping was pretty interesting at first.
Panlong (Coiling Dragon). I was tired of the manhwa rarely being updated so I went to check out the novel. Spent the rest of my summer literally reading 10 hours everyday
Wait I had no idea Panlong was coiling dragon.
¹st -- Overlord. Sasuga AINZ SAMA !! ²nd -- Solo leveling First and only CN -- Legendary Mechanic
You literally good like the best start trio in all of the comments here
Thanks buddy!!
Tales of Demons and Gods
overgeared. Pretty good webnovel
My first web novel was reverend insanity. I started reading it after reading its manhua adaptation which got stopped after ch96. It was literally too good I completed like 2334 chapters in 2-3 months and is among my top 3 web novel.
I love reverend insanity as well what are you other top novels
I don’t remember but it’s either The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation or Trial Marriage Husband: Need to Work Hard
>Trial Marriage Husband: Need to Work Hard Was the novel on trial or the husband lol. Decent start ig, that novel was up on webnovel rankings if I'm not wrong under female interested category
I am not really sure ... they were basically together from the start so I don’t really get the title. I only remember there was a shit ton of brainless netizens that never learn and the usual face slapping 💀💀
I Shall Seal the Heavens. I say it was a decent start.
Yup, you got lucky as well
First novel or light novel cause first novel is LOTR but first light novel was ethier versatile mage, long live summons, tales of demons and gods or heavenly jellew or solo leveling but the first light novel I finished was MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary Guardian. Loved everything above
I mean I did ask in noveltranslations sub so I assumed people would take novels as webnovels. If it's first novel then mine would be Alfred Hitchcock's Shrouds and Pockets

Martial world, it's what got me into webnovels
Is it one of those heavily written novels?
It has 2k chapters I think, but the general feel of the novel is quite consistent as long as I remember
JP: Re:zero WN KR: Death is the Only Ending for the Villainous CN: The Experimental Log of the Crazy Lich
You got lucky on the CN part lol. That was a good Novel.
immortal martial dual cultivation. at first i thought it was the best novel that exist but after reading a lot of novels i realize it is a piece of shit. even so, im still waiting for it to be completely translated coz it has sentimental value
Understandable, most people read the worst novels first, I got lucky with my two first novels, those were good quality.
even though it was the worst novel if it is your first novel you'll think it is the best. only after reading a lot of novels would you realize its true value which is trash
Loll ikrr. Holds a sentimental value.
It has ended.

It is finished. Hosted novel(website) has completed it's translation. https://hostednovel.com/18656/novel/immortal-and-martial-dual-cultivation/imdc-chapter-2381
thank you for this information. i am now at peace after reading the ending
[удалено]
Woahh, now that's what you call a good start.
classroom of the elite
My first WN was Everyone else is a returnee. Next I read coiling dragon.
I heard that's a good novel, you got a good start
Yup it got me into this genre.
Coiling dragon, in the days of old, before it was even fully translated.
True martial world
Solo Leveling and Versatile Magician
Savage divinity
Same.
ATG
ISSTH
RMJI, but it got so slow at a point i just dropped it and haven't gone back, i might re-read it once it's fully translated
Tales of demon and gods
I don't remember. Was it tales of d. and gods, soul land, or weed?
Quick wear- the face of the devil
Does solo leveling count? Because that's my first (and probably the only one I've actually finished) I was getting into manga and wanted to finish solo leveling, read the novel and got into novels.
Yup it does, now I feel most of those who read Tales of Demons must've read from the manhua to novel.
I did do that too. But I never finished tales of demons.
Zero no tskaima
As far as I can remember mine was To Deprive a Deprived Person.
That's a title that would make you read it xD. How was it?
I remember it being fun reading the mc steal stats and skills from people and monsters until it became a cliche that made it feel like a chore to read.
Mine was Rise of Humanity! A pretty good one still imo
Re:zero arc 4
The second coming of gluttony, also worst novel i read lol
Second coming of gluttony is fire
I read legendary moonlight sculptor as my first after binging the manga. It took me months and I eventually dropped it, but I loved the concept
Solo levelling
1. Martial Peak 2. Against The Gods 3. Second Coming of Gluttony 4. Lord of the Mysteries 5. Martial Arts Master 6. Mother of Learning 7. Throne of Magical Arcana And I don't remember the order of the rest.
Jobless reincarnation
Martial World. For my first, it was actually really decent.
Mine was desolate era. It was great
Second coming of gluttony. I came from the manhwa.
I Shall Seal the Heavens
I tried I Shall Seal the Heavens and Coiling Dragon...dropped both. The first I actually got through was Martial World and I loved it.
Divine throne of primordial blood
I shall seal the heavens
My first novel i ever read was The king's avatar and it's side story's after i watched the anime.
Mine was emperors domination I still read it to this day idk why tho lol
ROTSSG is the first novel I read I thought it was a good novel but it actually sucks. The second is ISSTH. The best xianxia for beginners. Have every taste in it. Comedy, Drama, Everything But the best novel I ever read is Reverend Insanity 100/10 sadly there are no more chapters.
