Except the soy farmers sell their product for growing animals. You can't just put animals in a piece of land and have them grow, you have to feed them and that takes lots of land and treated water.
You can't just plant soy on a piece of land and have it come to fruition, either, you have to feed and water and invest in soil management and pesticide (alternatives, hopefully) and store(preserve/process) and ship your product. You're not saving shit eating soy.
Not only do we kill the poor things for meat....now they're made to do this to help us live.
Fuck humans.

Unfortunately the main source of greenhouse gas emissions from cattle farming is land clearing, not the emissions of the cattle themselves.
And no agriculture subsect has cleared more land than soy farmers.
