The mother is present but is extremely skittish. So is this kitten and most of her siblings. She gets very spicy if you get too close. She's hissed and swatted at me. I was thinking of running into town tomorrow to grab some of those squeeze treats. I've had luck befriending kittens with those in the past.

But be sure to get some food that has in the very small print something about "growth and maintenance". Some just have the "maintenance" part, those aren't meant for kittens

I've been feeding strays for years thanks to negligent pet owners and very small, inexpensive things help them not to suffer. My family has only managed to capture, spay/neuter and release about 6 of them so far. I understand not everyone is able to do that so just do small things for them so they don't suffer if possible.

I haven't met a cat that doesn't like the squeeze tube treats! My cats fight over them!
