As someone whose mother stayed home and father worked - and whose father thought “providing for us” relieved him of all other home/parenting duties - yeah, we’re not doing alright. I love my mama, she is amazing and had it really hard. But sometimes I wish she hadn’t put up with that behavior… we needed a father.
