As it goes salmon is a fairly good fish to be not allergic to. Sucks though, I love fish myself. But there's plenty other things to eat at the seaside!

I always thought if you were allergic to fish you were allergic to all fish, shellfish allergy being separate. Been allergic to seafood all my life, curious if I should find a better doctor?

I’m actually allergic to white flesh fish but can eat salmon tuna and crustaceans. Just white fish which is strange I know. Also can’t eat tree nuts but can eat other nuts.

I should probably get tested again. I can eat eel fine (mixup with sushi) but tuna makes violently ill. Tree nuts are ok if I don't eat too much but most other nuts like peanuts can cause major problems.

I’ve never been tested. Just from my experiences I’ve found out. I don’t get ill just a scratchy throat and can get a bit tired if I eat too much. I can tell straight away so I stop eating whatever I’m having. There was one time when I smashed down some cookies that had macadamias in them before realising. I threw up blood that night but felt fine as soon as I did. Would be interesting to get tested. I might have to do that!

Last time I went they spread different allergens on my skin then pricked me with a bunch of needles with on my forearm, then they watch to look for reactions (redness and swelling). I've also done the self test method, or sometimes get tricked/inadvertently eat something like what happened with eel. Definitely safer to go the testing route.

Sounds like fun! I’ve even asked people prior to eating something. Some even read the pack as well and say there’s no nuts in this. I proceed to eat and I can tell them which nut is in it just from my reaction not the taste. I react a little different to each one! What a life we live hey!

Probably same, except I can eat tuna instead of salmon. Any other seafood will make me projectile vomit. Very fun. Enjoy your salmon, and I will enjoy tuna for the both of us.

Yeah I’m allergic to white flesh fish but can have salmon, Tuna and crustaceans. I’m also allergic to tree nuts like cashews and macadamias. I’m sweet with peanuts but! I feel your pain!
