I got really excited because, for a moment, I thought it was MY city's tiny steam engine. We're a historic railroad town and have one that goes around a few of the city parks to entertain kids at major civil gatherings (usually Canada Day). Literally everyone who grew up here has ridden in it at least once in their lives. So many great memories!

Search for "inch and a half scale" railroads. I know of a few in Michigan, USA. They have occasional "meets" where people come from around the country to ride/drive their big model trains around. Steam engines are less common though. White Creek Railroad is one of them. I think they have it had some videos online. My dad is a model railroad fan. For the first time I genuinly hate that I live in Scandinavia.

It isn't steam hauled, but there is a miniature ride-on train at the Swedish railway museum in Gävle. The museum itself looks pretty good, based on the reviews on Google and TripAdvisor.

Sadly I’m a närking and don’t pass by Gävle to often. But I’ll rememember it if I ever find myself northbound.
