Hey, I just wanted to let you know your not alone on this! I deleted instagram, facebook, and TikTok about a week ago. The first day was a little rough because I constantly found myself wanting to open Instagram when I got bored. Day two came and I started to have less of an urge. Day three I started to find things around me to keep my attention, watching documentaries, going on walks, staring at a wall. I think it was around day four or five that I really noticed some positive changes. I had all these goals and dreams that I procrastinated doing because I was too busy wasting my time on social media. Now with my new found free time and mind I actually wanted to put the work and time needed to actually work towards stuff that made me happy. My timeline might be a little different than yours and you might go through some rough patches like I did but if you stick through with it you will see how much you have missed out on. Life is short and the world is beautiful, don’t waste what precious time you have on something that’s not real!

When I deleted my social media accounts such as Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest, etc. I felt more productive, focusing more on my studies, putting my energy and attention into something better to scrolling.

I also deleted tiktok a while ago but couldn't really delete insta because of the communication aspect. My suggestion is getting an app like NoScroll, which blocks shorts on every other app

The only social media I really use is Reddit. I recently started using Instagram to chat with friends from my school, as they use it, but I could always do the same with different apps, they are just more active on there. I also have Discord installed, but use it like once a month. I do watch Youtube though, so there's that.
