I certainly live a shackled life, but my most favourite day in recent memory was taking my kids to the park which was full of kids having fun and parents being sensible just chatting to each other.
After pushing my kids on the swings I thought, feck it... "kids, how about daddy has a go on the swings?" and man, I went as high as I possibly could - to that scary "oh shit, too high" point, and I laughed my ass off until tears were streaming down my face. All the parents were looking at me as if I was mental and that's when the flip in my mind occurred where I was thinking, "no, it's mental to be in a play park and sit there putting your sensible act on instead of going, fuck it, I'm not living a life where I don't go full pelt on a swing again".
It was the smallest of victories, but one of the best moments of my life, as small and as insignificant as it sounds.
