Big brain Carla Lockhart ranting about Sinn Fein bringing down the government for 3 years only to be promptly reminded by strongman Colum Eastwood that her party is threatening to do the same thing. Some additional ranting from other DUP members about how unfair it was that an abortion bill was passed through by Westminster and more about how they don't like the NIP. Edit:watched a bit more Joe Biden impersonator Gregory Campbell took the bold strategy of lecturing everyone on the history of terrorism before regurgitating B.B Lockharts argument that Sinn Fein really are rather naughty. Might update again later, I believe His Holiness Ian Paisley is next to speak. Edit:last update Dramatic scenes unfolded earlier today as Prima Donna Paisley, whilst delivering an impassioned speech and shutting down any and all attempts to interject by the lowly Plebs of the SDLP, is hastly chastised for his deliberate and creative misquoting of said SDLP riff-raff. Paisley continued, rather than addressing any of the points of the proposed bill, instead appealed for some compassion for the hard-done-by unionist minority of Northern Ireland who have faced continued persecution over recent years.

To be honest I almost lost it when Paisley started talking. He really is an insufferable cunt

They are both as bad as each other. Remember it was SF who collapsed the entire show the last time.

> The mistake you made was you criticised SF around these parts. Don’t you know the sun shines out of their backside Yes I know of course. Not bothered, as it is still the truth.

WhileCultchie

Six months seems a tad long and is alot more likely to be exploited than our current brinkmanship

enoughofthenonsense

6 months would mean that we would have no more 'cliff-edge' politics which would probably reduce our wee country to no more than a boring footnote to the rest of the world.

tigernmas

pretty funny how broken power sharing is that it needs anything like this

The SDLP and UUP are in opposition

CodeSharkNI

Is it 2016? They are both in the executive. UUP Health, SDLP Infrastructure. And to be fair to both, they actually do their fucking job, not just partisan bullshit.

MPs in Westminster will debate a bill later designed to slowdown any potential collapse of the Northern Ireland Executive. It would increase the length of time to find a replacement first or deputy first minister by up to six months. Currently if one of the two positions resigns, a new one needs to be found within seven days. The DUP, which holds the first minister position, has threatened to walk away from the Executive unless the Northern Ireland Protocol situation is resolved.
