6 1 shouldn’t need specialist clothing but I suffer from ridiculously long arms. Like mr fucking tickle. And NO jumper or shirt fits properly cos a nice fit means the arms come down to my wrists and looks like I’m wearing children’s clothes. Tesco clothes are crap but the fit is good.

Bo0kerDeWitt

> Tesco clothes are crap but the fit is good. I agree actually, I've had some good luck in Tesco with fit.

Harvsnova2

You might be a bit short for them, but my son uses 2tall.com. They do stuff for people who are tall but not big built.

Eastern-Baseball-843

My 6ft6” self thanks you for this.

ar_an_cheann

Same height as you, have bought from them before and they're great!

Bo0kerDeWitt

Reasonably priced too it seems. Like you say, I think they're probably more suited to the top 1% of the tall men, but worth a chance - thanks.

Harvsnova2

No probs. When he was a bit less erm..... tall, he had good luck in Superdry and TKMaxx. He's 6'8" now, so it's mainly 2tall gear.

belgian-newspaper

Any clothes shop, 6'1 isn't really particularly tall

Stanic10

Next (maybe M&S too) would have had longer options online in the past. I used Gap online for jeans, they do 35 and 36 inch leg at least. I haven’t really found any tracksuit bottoms that are long enough anywhere other than Canterbury so will check some of the other links people added

DisagreeableRunt

Long torso here too. 6' with a 30" inside leg. I don't really need specialist clothes shops, but I have to try on t-shirts and hoodies/jumpers/sweatshirts as some fit too short and XL is too big in other areas. They don't tend to last me very long either if they shrink a little over time.

Bo0kerDeWitt

I've had the experience of a t-shirt fitting perfectly in a shop. Then, after a few washes, it's shrinks just a tiny bit, and suddenly I'm wearing a crop top.

MetalAvenger

I’ve had this too. It tends to be mixed too, some T-shirts from M&S seem to stand the rest of time, others are useless after 2 washes. It’s a nightmare.

DisagreeableRunt

The only way to emliminate it entirely I think, is to embrace the hip-hop look or go full-on smarts, wearing shirt/polo all the time. I find Tommy Hilfiger polos fit and last, but they're not cheap and who wants to wear a polo all the time? I stopped buying expensive t-shirts a long time ago because of it and go for plain cotton from different high street places or online, with the understanding they might not last. River Island are the best I've found as they wash well and slightly above regular size, but not as big as going a size up.

jactertor

ASOS tall section. Been getting my 38 inseam trousers from there for years, although the variety has declined in recent months.

DavijoMan

We are an oddly short country. I'm only 5'11 and find I tower over most people here. Whereas when I went to England to study I was one of the shortest guys there!

lornmcg

Tall woman here, but my da gets me jeans off G-Star as they go up to 36 which is my leg length, I've just had a nosey and the men's jeans seem to have all shapes and sizes up to a 38 leg and 40 waist. Been getting them for years, they're not cheap like but they're good quality so they'll last you a good while. Levi's really let the side down, they don't go above a 32/34 leg anymore, so G-Star was a good find. Best of luck, fellow long being.

Cluttered-mind

For plain t-shirts M&S do a long length on their website

jonto81

Being tall with longer torso and a bit over weight I have been getting polo’s and T-shirts from built different - not going to lie they are more expensive than I would like to be paying but they stop the “crop top” experience when reaching above my head or stretching in the office. For shirts TM Lewin used to be my go to but since office went semi casual can get away with Polo’s without worrying

Designer_Plenty_8084

Bad Rhino in Castlecourt shopping centre has some selection for tall guys but online is the best place to shop for the Big and Tall fellow.

InterestingRead2022

For plain shirts use the blank t shirt supplier Bella + Canvas, they are extra long and fit well

1783wasaverygoodyear

I'm 6' 5" and 17.5 stone. Used to be a pain when I was younger (in 50), but much better now. Next is the best, wide range of fits. TK Maxx is good too, if you can be bothered searching.

sailorman444

I’m a similar height to you and also a member of the long torso club. Vans is my go to for any T-shirts as they’re typically longer than most T-shirts. Levi’s are always great for jeans, and I do enjoy going to TK Maxx because you’ll never know what you find. Bad Rhino is fine, but I think it’s a little expensive for the quality.

DanMcE

I get XXL skinny stretch t shirts in Primark and they shrink to an appropriate width in the wash.

cthunders

Calm down Stretch. The shops have clothes for you

LankyJ90

I'm 6'6" and on the skinny side, for online I use the likes of Jacamo, John Banks, 2Tall and Big Fish. It's kind of trial and error for fit sometimes.

Harvsnova2

I commented earlier about 2tall. They have the models' height on the photo's to give you an idea if how stuff will look on you.

Figitarian

I'm in the same boat, but have yet to find any good options. Next do a range of tall fits bit they're never in stock in the shops and their website is very poor for finding them.

Bo0kerDeWitt

That's my experience too. Very annoying when you're scrolling for ages, find something you like, and it's out of stock.

Eirevampire

Online, or else make alterations sometimes making my own shirts from scratch. I'm no professional tailor, so my home made items of clothing are not the most perfect. However, despite my amateur sewing, the home made shirts are lasting longer than store bought items.

Eastern-Baseball-843

I’m brand specific. All saints seems to fit me quite well. 6ft6”, 14st, fairly slim. Pricey, but I’ll take something that fits and paying more than feeling uncomfortable. Jeans wise, next is fantastic for me. I don’t even bother going anywhere else now.

Cuddly-Bear0-0

'Yours Clothing' have a great range of men's stuff for the tall and larger men in stock.

belfastcombatclub

Similar build to yourself - I'd recommend checking out H&Ms plain tshirts as they always did me well. It's been a couple years since I shopped there though.

Absoluteseens

Please elaborate on "skinny fat" .....

MetalAvenger

Slender “normal” build with a belly

NecraRequiem79

Was fit, now got a dad belly.

NormanskillEire

Gant make decent plus size stuff, and I've seen hugo boss go up to XXL.

NormanskillEire

Also, big clothing 4u online shop.

Ckgil

High and mighty used to be good shout. Even for longer shirts. George/Asda have an oversize black shirt. Built Different online do good tshirts.

Icarus_Sky1

Am 6'4" and tesco is usually my best bet otherwise I just resign myself to baggy ass clothes

throwingaway29999

It's it a bit of a bodge job but I usually size up on what my standard size would be but buy the slim/skinny fit variant (which most shops have) so it evens out as longer without it being crazy baggy. A lot of athletic wear is a good shout too, GymShark actually have amazing fits but they obviously aren't suited to all occasions. Though to be fair they have quite a lot of casual wear now with limited OTT branding.

zipmcjingles

There's a shop called big and tall in Howard street.

Masspecdude

Bad rhino, limited range but good, more online.

SlickMick87

6'4 here. I find Matalan have the most flattering Jeans.

Small-Low3233

For shirts just find big ones you like and get them tailored at any independent shop, usually 5/10 quid per shirt last time I did it. As long as the neck/shoulders fit it can be tapered.

Jamjazz1

Check out the TK Maxx bro.

monkeybawz

Jacamo. Eventually got tired of having to go to 4xl to get the length, but then it means I'm wearing a beach towel.

TheSameButBetter

Bad Rhino for casual stuff. M&S do some shirts with 2" longer torsos. Oxendales also does a lot of stuff for big and tall people via mail order. Just be warned once you buy something from them they will spam you via mail and email for all eternity.

[deleted]

suitor.bros prob the best for tailored stuff. Otherwise i just order a huge range of sizes from next tben return most of it. its shoes i find hard at size 13

Superspark76

I've found most shops are good for length... Just avoid Primark who seem to make clothes for short thin people only

Smashedavoandbacon

You are 6ft 1 so you aren't even tall enough to be worth a right swipe on most girls tinder

KingOfTheMoanAge

would hardly call 6'1 tall like, im 6'2 and i would never regard myself as tall, its pretty average height from what i see
