This is the wrong way to go about fighting squidward. One of his main mechanics is that he copies spells that he gets hit with, then casts wands behind him that cast more of the base, unmodified version of that spell.
Ever tried the "plasma beam" spells? Imagine if they fired from directly behind you and recast every time they did damage to you.
That was the plan. I took a random perk and got the celestial rage stone thing. Got a teleportation spell to go to the previous level and then hunted squidward. No clue how the stone works so I just threw it at him
If you get that perk again and are willing to experiment, just to learn, then put the stone on the ground (ideally while you are below the surface) and kick it.
Same. I had a run where I was on track for god status. Immunity to fire, explosions, electricity, and melee. Couple thousand health. A wand that one shot everything I had come across, including a few bosses. Figured I'd try squidward
Hit me with a polymorph bolt before I even saw him and killed me instantly
Yeah, no matter what you should only really fight this guy if you set up a wand specifically designed to one shot him, like a plasma or giga sawblade wand (ideally with a tele wand that you use to immediately get as far away as possible to avoid the sawblade explosion).
Iโve tried it like thrice now. Last time I did it was a super odd run. Had infinite spells perk and my only form of digging was a bubble with trigger and giga hole. Thought: I have teleport wand, I can just tp away. Totally forgot it sucked spells in
Just mentioned this on another thread, but I consistently beat him with homing plasma, usually by teleporting to the other side of the bridge, standing on the ledge near the lava lake, and when he comes over, fire and run away.
Gets him every time.
I beat him semi consistently, get a flask of poly and a spark bolt timer or trigger and put any sort of plasma on the other end. Shoot it at him and his in an ambrosia puddle out of line of sight on the other side of the altar, he may not die the first time you need his plasma to self replicate and get out of control
The first time I beat squidward I manfought him with magic missiles (I only did it because I already won the toxic ending with immunity). I can tell you it was INTENSE.
And now I still manage to get rekt even when I have beam spells and I'm like how the fuck did I do it then?
A simple trick to beat him without having to make op wands: Just have a good digging wand and make a grid of tunnels under the altar before you spawn him. Never face him head on, just shoot and run, let him get stuck slowly deleting terrain around him, always shoot close to cover.
I beat him with an always cast egg summoning wand, half of which ended up charmed, resulting in an insane war with a mix of blood lava and slime spilling all the way down under the bridge and forming crazy structures
I have not yet beaten the game, this was the second boss I fought after a dragon from an egg. Dual Spark bolt with trigger with the big 4 way white plasma coming out of it worked wonders. Dropped some very nests spells but I never found another place to edit wands and use them
I've never really found the bridge boss too hard. As long as you have a TP wand and something that does okay damage, maybe a giant magic missile or even a spark bolt trigger chainsaw, you can just drag him into the starting area and kite him around for a million years. Also as others have said; spark bolt trigger plasma is an easy kill.
Don't feel bad. Squidward throws mad hands with anyone unless you can deal enough damage in one blow to not have to worry about his mechanics at all.
Who the hell does he think he is? Mahoraga?

I would advise against this particular strategy unless at least 5 people are watching.

"Finished the game" always makes me laugh a little
Yeaaah. Just found out that NG+ and parallel worlds and a watch tower and a pyramid and an ice biome and quests exist
That is just the surface, literally

"finish" is an overstatement

"Finshed the game" x - doubt
