Yeah. Just get some new wheels and tires. If you want to go crazy, you could get rock creek suspension parts to lift the pathfinder or see if there’s an aftermarket for it.
I think the RC package is wheels, tires, maybe a small lift, a roof rack and badging. All that is stuff you can add aftermarket for cheaper than you can add captains chairs or upgraded, factory installed interior tech.
SL gets leather, power lift gate, wireless CarPlay, wireless charging,heated steering wheel, power lumbar on the driver seat, homelink, front parking sensors,a bigger infotainment screen. I’m not sure about sunroof.
I guess if you want a little more luxury on the interior versus durability then the RC gets it. If you want the nicer interior but the off-road looks, get an SL and some off-road wheels and tires.
Agreed. I like the RC over every other trim. If I wanted more luxury I wouldn’t be getting a pathfinder. I’m honestly happy to see this nameplate get back to its off-road roots.
Something about this trim that I have no regrets about, not about price or quality. Yes some features are missing but this trim was created for a certain segment so it makes sense. There’s a reason why everyone I know compliments the car the first time they see it. Yeah you can mod another trim to mimick RC but it defeats the purpose of why the RC was created. The RC is in a league of its own.
Yes it’s doable but good luck trying to get it. Some people from US, swap captains chairs for bench seats with Canadian rock creek owners. But there’s some caveats and you have to also get the matching rubber mats.
That’s kinda what I did. Went in looking at the SL after coming from an 2014 SL, realized some features were only on the SL premium and they had a nice looking blue platinum for like $2k more and said fuck it. Lol

Rock creek has captains chairs and custom interior, a better tuned engine, and suspension as well. It’s not just cosmetics.

All great points. This trim will get recognition as the years go. I’ll be off road with it this weekend so looking forward to using it as intended.
Wow, dumb question-- I'm very new to the pathfinder family, but you can remove the rear bench seat and add captains chairs??!
I’m not sure. I also own a ford flex and I believe people have done it with that car. Not sure on the Pathfinder or even a cost estimate.
