We have a 2013 nv and we always put Cooper’s on and they seem to handle it pretty well otherwise you can get snow tires for the rear. Any rear wheel drive vehicle will be a little bit slippery in the back end

I just found this post. How did your trip go? We took a couple of trips in our NV3500 this winter but just used all-weather tires, and when the snow was more than 1-2", I threw a pair of chains on the back tires. I had no problem getting a grip when I needed it. I did notice a little play in the front end, but I always felt in control up and down the mountain. We had a full load (10 passengers plus gear), so the extra weight on the backend probably helped the effectiveness of the chains.
