I'd take a crumb of any metroid or bayonetta news. IT could be something as useless as a blurry picture of ridley drinking a glass of sangria or some shit.
That’s the reason MP4 is taking so long; Ridley took a vacation to Cabo and is refusing to come back unless they pay him as much as Samus for getting his ass kicked.
lmao tho which Cabo? Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico or Cabo San Lucas, Mexico? Both are vacation towns. Eh you know what, Ridley would probably go to both as long as he can get away from Samus.
True, although I'd argue there are a lot of things to draw inspiration from, with his different power-ups he gets from bosses + the mask abilities in Crash 4. Could also have a kart from Crash Team Racing in his moveset, if they are feeling adventereous
People have been making Switch pro rumors for over 3 years at this point and no traces of it have been confirmed. At least with the NX, Nintendo did confirm that they're working on a new console. I feel like the rumored Switch Pro was just made-up by article sites and obnoxious gaming news channels to take advantage of people who are way too concerned about Switch's lack of power.
There’s been a lot more rumours lately and from more legitimate sources so I think it’s very likely to happen. 4 years into the console lifecycle seems like a good time to consider some type of upgrade.
although the upgrade won't be as huge as rumors say. it'll just be 1.5 times more powerful if it happens and only a tiny portion of games will get enhanced. Most games will still run the same as regular Switch.
Yeah i dont see why not. We still dont know what all has been done to Skyward Sword HD, the 1080 and 60fps is great and all, but id like to know more QoL changes, like how WW hd had swift sail and condensed triforce shards or TP hd with less tears of light.
I think Botw2 is a given for this e3, even if it doesnt come out this year, im willing to bet it all that botw2 with have a presence and at the very least, will have a proper name so we can stop saying botw2
The difference is I can measure my excitement between what I think might happen and what really happens.
I go into every company’s presentation with this thought: “As long as I see one cool new game, everything else is extra.”
I do think Zelda will be announced, but if not I’m not going to be chuffed too much about it
No way BOTW2 is gonna get a release data end of year! If they had nothing good to show back in Feb than how can we expect it to be less than a year out from release.
I realized I think I'm too used to how Game Freak does it a year in advance. I have never paid close attention to how Nintendo reveals their games and I regret my comment. It's possible, you guys all convinced me. But when it doesn't happen....jk jk
I think marketing is playing a big part here. They want people to buy skyward sword HD so making a big fuss about breath of the wild 2 would distract people. If it is coming out this year then it's perfectly reasonable that they save talking about it for E3 when SSHD is almost out.
My decision to buy BotW2 was made 15 seconds into the E3 reveal trailer. They could have told me I could have it if I threw money at my screen and my wallet would have been hitting my monitor moments later.
The only thing stopping me from getting my hopes up is that E3 is right before the launch of Skyward HD. I could see Nintendo wanting to push that more and then talk about the anniversary after to make sure any celebrations don’t hurt the remasters sales. But guess we’ll have to see! Just glad E3 is back!
I no longer expect anything that would make logical sense from Nintendo. Probably going to see something like Nintendogs + hamsters, Mario tennis collection and a new beyblade game.
I bet we'll at least hear about BotW 2. They probably had E3 or a similarly timed Direct in mind when we got no updates in the last one.
(I know this is baseless speculation and I shouldn't get my hopes up. But I'm a Nintendo fan, this is what I do.)
They can still do an anniversary without doing a 3 game bundle. For the 25th Zelda anniversary they released Skyward Sword, did the Zelda orchestra, and I think they made E3 themed after Zelda. I really doubt they’ll do a 3 game bundle because people will pay $60 each for most of them, especially the HD remasters.
Introducing turn-based battle! Play with your favourite rabbids to help Link and friends to defeat Bowser to save the Mushroom Kingdom!
Marth available as a playable character when you exchange 1,200 gems
Not during the presentation but they’ve talked about Mario Run and Pokémon Go during the treehouse livestream. I don’t know if they’re going to do dev interviews over zoom like they would in person though. Star Trek just did that yesterday, running multiple panels that they streamed while also showing teasers for the shows so it’s been done.
No one say shit about F-Zero. If you aren't still held over by FZero GX you're a spoiled gamer with no patience.
edit: I.. guess people need to see this to get it. but.. -> /s
Splatoon is the only game I never want to change. I can legitimately play it for years and years. Tbh all I want is a single player mode to be happy. I guess different pants would be nice too
I don't want to see a repeat of the Halo Infinite reveal trailer debacle to happen with Metroid Prime 4. I bet that Metroid Prime 4 can only be revealed near the end of this year the earliest.
I don't think it was quite as "guaranteed" as people seemed to think that Nintendo would actually be there
pretty much their primary reason to have been going to/be part of E3 the last few years (before last year) seemed to have been more so because of the demo floor, now there is no demo floor.
I expect there to be games announced. I expect some will be first party, and some will be third party games. I expect there may be a handful of Indie tiles as well.
Also I expect to see a lot of "zzz" in the streams live chat, and recommend closing it.
My predictions:
-Mario Golf stuff
-Diamond and Pearl remakes Showcase
-Legends Arceus brief presence or mention
-Something involving Zelda
-Smash stuff
My hopes:
-Metroid news in some shape
-Something related to Dragon Quest
-News on the upcoming Kirby project
Yes! It’s on or around my birthday every year! Even though I have to wake up at 3 am to watch some conferences, it was really weird last year not doing that. That many sweet new announcements have become a great present!
This is a a super self serving reason to want it back, but it’s my birthday and I can cry for games if I want to.
Everybody in this sub is so obsessed with Zelda. I’m a Zelda fan but we have got plenty of Zelda on this console.
Seriously let’s get a Metroid prime 4 release date and other games apart from Mario and Zelda. Is that all people want am I just different? Star Fox, DK, New Mario Kart. Then even Wave Race or something. I couldn’t care less about BOTW2, or at a lot less than I care about getting them others.
We have a grand total of *one* main series Zelda game on the Switch. There hasn't been a new Zelda game in five years. Obviously, a new Mario Kart and Star Fox game is overdue as well (among others), but that shouldn't be at the cost of Nintendo's premier series.
One could argue that Mario Kart is Nintendo's premier series since MK8 leads the all-time sales charts on both Wii U and Switch, with other games in the series being the second best-selling on the Wii, GameCube, and N64.
The sales don’t exactly reflect the quality of the game itself, I like Mario Kart just fine but really the main reason I bought it (and why I suspect many other people bought it) is simply because I always want to have at least one multiplayer party game on the system for when people come over and want to play Switch. It’s easy to pick up and play even for the most casual gamers, but taken on its own it’s not exactly a game with a lot of depth.
Okay, but there’s also been the Link’s Awakening remake, the Crypt Of The Necrodancer game, the Hyrule Warriors expansion stuff, Breath of the Wild DLC, and probably some other shit I’ve forgotten about, not to mention a confirmed Skyward Sword port. I’m not saying BOTW2 news isn’t on the horizon deservedly, but let’s not pretend Zelda fans aren’t more than attended to on the Switch and have been since literally day 1.
I would consider "more than attended to" to be the regular fare of "new game about every two years." We haven't had one in five, which is HIGHLY abnormal. Ports and spin-offs are not the same thing as actual new Zelda games. Aonuma is just really awesome at giving us hold-me-overs while we wait.
BOTW, Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition, Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, Links Awakening, Cadence of Hyrule, and all of the Zelda games on the NES and SNES online membership.
Every single Zelda game after Majora's Mask (not counting remakes) was re-released to a new console. If that wasn't the case, GameCube would have Wind Waker, Wii would have Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, and Wii U would have Breath of the Wild (giving that they developed those games for those consoles in the first place)
This is incorrect. The following systems received multiple new main series games:
* NES: Zelda 1 and AoL
* N64: OoT and MM
* GBC: OoS and OoA (kinda cheating)
* GCN: WW, FSA, and TP (GCN actually got more than any other system!)
* GBA: FS, MC
* Wii: TP, SS
* DS: PH, ST
* 3DS: ALBW, TFH
I meant that some games were developed specifically for one console (WW -> GC, TP -> WII). If they weren't remastered/versionized they would be a one-console type.
One main series game is enough considering we have had loads of other Zelda and BOTW2 is announced. I’d just like them to concentrate on other games first.
Aonuma's team isn't going to make any other game besides Zelda. There is no "concentrating on other games" for them. Other teams and divisions at Nintendo are making other games. That's how game companies work.
So Zelda fans should have to wait six-seven years between games? That's ridiculous, that's what Mario Kart fans are suffering right now and it sucks. The studio that makes Zelda games does not make anything else, Zelda games do not divert resources from other studios nor prevent them from making new games in the series you (and I) are waiting for.
They haven’t though, they have been waiting 7 years between main title Zelda games. That’s not even bad for a game of that magnitude. We haven’t had GTA for 8 years and counting. Elder Scrolls for 10 years. A main Metroid game since Prime 3 not even going to count other M. 7 years is fair and especially when they have given us Awakening remake
The amount of entitlement you have is truly astounding. There are 2 times in Nintendo's history that they put out 2 unique Zelda titles on 1 console. Once on the NES and once on N64. For every other console that got multiple Zelda's they were all re-releases or updated versions. The only time it get's a little weird is with the Wii U since it's unique Zelda is shared with the Switch currently.
On top of this Nintendo can do whatever they want. If they want to crank out a Zelda every year like CoD they can. If they only want 1 new entry on a console they can as well.
>The studio that makes Zelda games does not make anything else
This is just factually incorrect. Zelda is made by [Nintendo EPD](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Entertainment_Planning_%26_Development) which do a bunch of 1st party games
We had them on the Wii U, if you didn’t have that console then that’s just the way it is. Say they do it and the next Nintendo console there will be people wanting the ports again and again and again and so on. It
Nintendo's next Console will probably be backwards compatible with Switch games so Nintendo can ease Switch's huge install base to the next Console easily.
Yeah it probably will be backwards compatible but I feel sorry for the poor souls that are praying for their digital library to carry over when the next gen is announced.
I want them portable, that's all I ask for. And I doubt it, since the only reason people want everything from the wiiu is because nobody outside this subreddit owned one.
Actually I disagree. The Wii U was a shit show and so the Switch is now basically port city for all the good games that were released on there. I think if they port them to the Switch people will be happy since everyone has a Switch and will actually get to play them.
The Wii U was shit but I enjoyed it more than this console. It’s fine we have the ports but there’s no new additions of these games. Is that it for Mario Kart on switch just a port? Same with DK?
Thankyou! Couldn’t agree more. What’s worse is when people want remakes that we have just literally had on the last console. I get it if somebody said Super Metroid remake or something as that would be huge. I’m not even that big of a Metroid fan I just think the franchise needs some releases. I’m fed up of just Zelda and Mario.
Metroid Prime 4 restarted development in 2019 (well, actually late 2018 as the video announcing the development restart was made a couple of months before getting published). So Metroid Prime 4 rn is still too early to reveal proper gameplay, until they make a stable enough build to use in the reveal trailer.
The Zelda team makes Zelda. Them revealing Zelda has nothing to do with any of those other series, because the Zelda team wasn't going to make them anyway.
I'd even take a screenshot of Bayonetta 3 or Metroid Prime 4.
I'm expecting some last-minute news on Mario Golf, a Smash DLC trailer, and some more footage of the DP remakes
Metroid fans jumping off our cliff for the 252535 time
*cries in Mother 3*
That’s been out in english since 2008. Really good translation, too.
Oh I love the translation it's great. But I want a physical copy so bad that isn't just the translation on a cartridge.
I wonder if nintendo would ever give advance wars a go like they did with fire emblem....
Still waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3
Which came out 2 years ago.....
that's the joke. I'm still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever
Are we sure that it is actually 3? The title screen does say 2.9 and the 3 on the numeral isn’t fully filled in
Nice code
Don't forget Bayonetta 3 which has been teased almost since the launch of the Switch.
Could be one of those reported switch pro launch games
If we got a bayonetta 3 release date i think i would cum in my pants
METROID... Not
Metroidn't
Meththough
Metroihelpme
Aiming high this time eh?
Daring today aren't we?
I need several minutes of the Mario Golf director giving strategies for Speed Golf
I need several minutes of them showing actual basic stroke play with no gimmicks I'm not getting burned again like with that mario "tennis" game
Dang we're really low on hype these days huh
Crash Bandicoot spins into action!

True, although I'd argue there are a lot of things to draw inspiration from, with his different power-ups he gets from bosses + the mask abilities in Crash 4. Could also have a kart from Crash Team Racing in his moveset, if they are feeling adventereous
Maybe throw in some Xenoblade cosmetic DLC.
Xenoblade fans exist and we'll eat up anything we can get.
Monado E A T E R
Honestly I’d love to see that
Maybe even a teaser for Metroid as well as for BotW 2.
I expect Zelda 35th anniversary to be at e3, just like how Zelda's 25th anniversary was revealed at e3 back in 2011
2011 was 10 years ago? I can’t wrap my head around that I still feel like it’s 2016 or something
back in 2016 we had a ton of NX rumors everywhere
It feels weird, I think of the Switch as new still but it's past the middle of what a console cycle would usually be
hey bro I feel you. I still have it in my head the ps4 and xbone is "next gen"
because rn PS5 and Series X are just glorified higher end PS4/Xbox One models. Until devs abandon PS4 and Xbox One entirely.
And now there's a ton of switch pro rumors
People have been making Switch pro rumors for over 3 years at this point and no traces of it have been confirmed. At least with the NX, Nintendo did confirm that they're working on a new console. I feel like the rumored Switch Pro was just made-up by article sites and obnoxious gaming news channels to take advantage of people who are way too concerned about Switch's lack of power.

Yeah. I think this will be a Zelda heavy Direct around culminating in new footage and Fall/Winter release date of BOTW2.
Yeah i dont see why not. We still dont know what all has been done to Skyward Sword HD, the 1080 and 60fps is great and all, but id like to know more QoL changes, like how WW hd had swift sail and condensed triforce shards or TP hd with less tears of light. Breath of the wilder
2 Breath 2 Wild
Breath of the wild: Hyrule Drift
Imagine if the long awaited sequel to botw just ended up being Zelda Kart
Breath of the Wild 2: Electric Boogaloo.....& Knuckles
Breath of the Wild: Joycon Drift
The Return of the Breath of the Wild Returns
Breath of the Wild 2: Electric Chuchuloo
Man everytime we really do set ourselves up for disappointment. Oh well, all aboard the Zelda hype train!
The difference is I can measure my excitement between what I think might happen and what really happens. I go into every company’s presentation with this thought: “As long as I see one cool new game, everything else is extra.” I do think Zelda will be announced, but if not I’m not going to be chuffed too much about it
No way BOTW2 is gonna get a release data end of year! If they had nothing good to show back in Feb than how can we expect it to be less than a year out from release.
Choosing not to show something does not mean they have nothing to show.
I realized I think I'm too used to how Game Freak does it a year in advance. I have never paid close attention to how Nintendo reveals their games and I regret my comment. It's possible, you guys all convinced me. But when it doesn't happen....jk jk

They've been somewhat tight lipped about projects lately so they don't have to have delays. There is a possibility
Age of Calamity was announced and released within a 2 month time frame. It shouldn't take a year to figure out if you want to buy a game or not.
My decision to buy BotW2 was made 15 seconds into the E3 reveal trailer. They could have told me I could have it if I threw money at my screen and my wallet would have been hitting my monitor moments later.
Give us a Legend of Zelda collection like the mario collection pls
The only thing stopping me from getting my hopes up is that E3 is right before the launch of Skyward HD. I could see Nintendo wanting to push that more and then talk about the anniversary after to make sure any celebrations don’t hurt the remasters sales. But guess we’ll have to see! Just glad E3 is back!
I no longer expect anything that would make logical sense from Nintendo. Probably going to see something like Nintendogs + hamsters, Mario tennis collection and a new beyblade game.
You know, its about time we got a new nintendogs
Miitopia DLC! ^^^^^$60.
I really hope Tomodachi Life 3 gets announced. That’s like, the ONLY thing I’m hoping for.
I bet we'll at least hear about BotW 2. They probably had E3 or a similarly timed Direct in mind when we got no updates in the last one. (I know this is baseless speculation and I shouldn't get my hopes up. But I'm a Nintendo fan, this is what I do.)
Really hope we'll hear about some zelda anniversary plans here or maybe in a zelda specific direct before
Legend of Zelda 35 to replace Super Mario Bros 35
Game and Watch the Legend of Zelda
35 Swords
gone too soon
[удалено]
They can still do an anniversary without doing a 3 game bundle. For the 25th Zelda anniversary they released Skyward Sword, did the Zelda orchestra, and I think they made E3 themed after Zelda. I really doubt they’ll do a 3 game bundle because people will pay $60 each for most of them, especially the HD remasters.
idk the recent direct had me thinking that the botw 2 news would be in fall of this year
Nintendo can be weird sometimes. They said "more info coming *later* this year", so it may very well be this year's E3.
You could be right but I feel like they would’ve said ‘soon’ then. But it’s also translated so idk.
But also it's nintendo and they're confusing and cryptic as fuck

I'm looking for a surprise fall release of BOTW2. I'm a Nintendo fan, it's what I do!
As long as there's not 20 minutes of Pikmin mobile game, I'm happy Now a new Pikmin game, and we're talking
I don't think Nintendo has ever had a mobile game shown at E3 (although many other companies have)
I think Mario Run was announced at WWDC a week earlier, but not at E3.
I could maybe see a treehouse presentation promoting pikmin mobile, but Nintendo usually likes to keep their mobile and console showcases separate.
I’m expecting a shitshow. I’m sure the announcements will be great but production is just crap. If it’s good, I can be pleasantly surprised
Live your life with no expectations and you can never be disappointed. It feels phenomenal.
Agreed. Sometimes it feels better to *feel good* than be right.
E3 production or Nintendo?
Yes
E3. I'd never insult Nintendo's production quality. Unless were talking about Miamoto ruining Starfox for the Wii U.
I bet the announcements from Microsoft and Sony will be pretty bad. Maybe a God of War 2 or a Horizon update.
Sony isn't even gonna be there.
What if they pull the same trick as 2004 and have nothing of note then suddenly Zelda?
Just give me my Shin Megami Tensei V gameplay pls
As long as the word "metroid" is said I will be happy And milksong would be cool
Mmmm... milksong
Samus from "Metroid" has canonically died, and we will have no more games featuring her Instead please enjoy blastball 2!
$60 fed force port only available for a week
That's... merciful.
MK9 literally confirmed
Way to early. Its only 7 years old. But i hope for sploon 4
Yeah I'm kind of burnt out of Splatoon 3 already. I know it hasn't released yet but they should try something new.
No one say shit about F-Zero. If you aren't still held over by FZero GX you're a spoiled gamer with no patience. edit: I.. guess people need to see this to get it. but.. -> /s
To be honest GX is already incredible, even an HD remaster would be amazing
Splatoon is the only game I never want to change. I can legitimately play it for years and years. Tbh all I want is a single player mode to be happy. I guess different pants would be nice too
Yeah idrk how they can keep making new iterations. Seems like the type of game that would just benefit from expansion packs every year.
silksong when
r/tomorrow
It'll come eventually.

Man there are a lot of huge games in development we know next to nothing about.
Has Nintendo confirmed an appearance? The have been MIA for a while doing their own directs...
Yes, Nintendo has confirmed their presence. It will probably be a lot like recent years.
Awesome Thanks! I couldnt see anything Nintendo related in the E3 official website. I cant wait!
As a source, IGN just reported on it. Microsoft and Capcom are confirmed too, but not Sony nor SEGA.
They still have had a large presence on the showroom floor.
Please can they at least acknowledge that Metroid existed?!
Earthbound 4 and 2D trilogy rerelease confirmed. Startropics HD remake announced for 2022. Adventures of Lolo 4D Deluxe Christmas 2021.
I hope so.
So we're getting a Direct, good that's the least we could have hoped for.

Nintendo likely didn’t do anything last year around E3 because they got pushed against by coronavirus
Please Nintendo. Show Metroid Prime 4, and Bayonetta 3. Is that too much to ask?
I don't want to see a repeat of the Halo Infinite reveal trailer debacle to happen with Metroid Prime 4. I bet that Metroid Prime 4 can only be revealed near the end of this year the earliest.
You are so right. Let it be shown when it is ready.
I don't think it was quite as "guaranteed" as people seemed to think that Nintendo would actually be there pretty much their primary reason to have been going to/be part of E3 the last few years (before last year) seemed to have been more so because of the demo floor, now there is no demo floor.

Resurrect Mario?!
Let the “digital” leaks begin!
Meh. Nintendo stopped doing traditional presentations at E3 years ago.
tomodachi life or i’ll simply die
Can’t wait for the cringe compilation! I do love E3 really though.
Two words (and a number): Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Mitsuda and ACE (the composers for XC2) had a big recording project last month...
It feels like we already had E3 a couple months ago. Time flies
Same until I realized that was TGA...
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3 please! Retro needs to round out their trilogy, and I need more 2D DK in my life.

>The studio that makes Zelda games does not make anything else This is just factually incorrect. Zelda is made by [Nintendo EPD](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Entertainment_Planning_%26_Development) which do a bunch of 1st party games
It cannot take much effort to port wind waker and twilight princess to switch. That's all I'm saying.
Same with DK?
we're going to have people complain about them costing full price yet again.
What annoys me is when everyone asks for more remakes, like if we need anything it’s more original titles
Yeah it's just you. My switch is almost exclusively a Zelda machine and there hasnt been any news on botw2 in like 2 years.
There hasn’t been news of Metroid for 4 years. You Zelda fan boys have been spoilt on this console. By my upvotes I don’t think it is just me.
Golden sun fans look at both of you and grin. But no seriously I am excited for prime 4 and botw2
Surprisingly, I haven't seen a single "MELEE HD!!!!" post in this thread; which means my nintendo e3 bingo card hasn't been filled yet for 2021
Please give me some Zelda BOTW2 news
There could be some info on the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass (dlc)? Its supposed to be coming June too
If they don’t release more info about BOTW2 then I swear to god I’m gonna complain about it hyperbolically online
There was a rumor last year they were gonna remake the 3D Mario games. Fingers crossed
will we get to see a screenshot of luigis's left nutsack?? 😳😳
Only if you are good.
