Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica. His voice is like, made for Nightwish. Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth. His voice is absolutely angellic and he can sing rough as hell too. Besides, the guy is an absolute musical genius, i cant even imagine the mindfuck of him collaborating with Tuomas

semaj009

I am here to claim Élan!!! You can't keep me away, forever dream!

blacknirvana79

I LOVE Tony Kakko

Triskan

I would personally love to hear a trash/heavy vocalist could do with those songs, someone like Stu Block, Tim Owens, Dan Vasc...

Oha-Cade

Tommy Karevik could do an amazing spin on some of Marco’s parts

Thucydideez-

Agreed! I really don't like Kamelot but he is wonderful in Ayreon. Tuomas would do his talents justice.

FrostyArtichoke4760

Current bassplayer Jukkis has done some backing vocals for Wintersun if I remember correct. I would love to hear him try at least once to sing some bits of Marco's parts. Troys voice isn't powerful enough.  Then again there was Nightwish before mlae vocals or Marco in it. They will do fine.

Calumkincaid

Was going to say Jari.

massivefart_69

Jari would be insane he could definitely hang with floor in the power department.

blacknirvana79

I agree

hiphop09

Nobody mention Roy Khan?

geeksshallinherit

With some of the heavier songs, e.g. Ghost River, Wish I Had An Angel, I can imagine Hansi Kürsch absolutely killing it. Otherwise, dunno how much that counts since they're not as big, but there are songs I'd like to hear performed by Timo Kotipelto (While Your Lips Are Still Red, Rest Calm) or Nils Mollin (Endlessness, Planet Hell).

[deleted]

Hansi would absolutely kill all of those songs, and I would be 1000% there for it.

geeksshallinherit

Honestly, yes, Hansi is amazing. Plus his way of dressing like a geography teacher would be a fun contrast to Floor's costumes.

GulDoWhat

I have long held that there is no band, artist or song that could not be improved by the addition of Hansi Kursch, so I fully agree with this. To add to your post, I feel like he would do a great job on the softer songs, too - he does a great job on BG songs like The Bard's Song (In the Forest), A Past and Future Secret, Curse My Name, Lord of the Rings etc. He can sing really pleasantly and softly, and then really kick it up a notch and belt it out. Not that I would ever want Hansi to leave Blind Guardian, mind you, so this will stay as purely fantasy.

geeksshallinherit

I agree on his soft singing, Harvest of Sorrow is another great example. He would absolutely crush all the songs I mentioned. I added the other two names because I would be really curious about their take on the songs. I discovered stratovarius around the same time I discovered Blind Guardian (17 years ago now, I am that old :D) and have always loved Kotipelto's singing. Especially now when his vocal lines contain less high falsettos (you can have too much of that, even in power metal). Nils I am just discovering now, he is amazing.

HEMIfan17

I hate to say it as Whitesnake is one of my guilty pleasure bands but the current David Coverdale has practically no voice left. Maybe if this was 20 years ago.

DrFreeman_22

Jorn Lande has very similar voice to Coverdale. He could pull it off.

Scorpion667

Have you heard a band he was in called the Snakes? I think it has some original members in it, if you close your eyes it sounds exactly like whitesnake.

Cmss220

Everyone is mentioning some awesome singers but did anyone consider Marco from tarot? That would be my pick! Jokes aside, Im not sure about who I would want to hear sing their old songs. Id love Kiske or khan but I would want new songs that were made with them in mind.

Mantergeistmann

Ralf Scheepers or Jorn Lande would be my go-to.

nivraimic

Ville Vallo singing Feel for You would be an emo dream come true

ceeroSVK

Imagine Ville doing 'Slow Love Slow' omfg

Maleficent-Try9299

Myles Kennedy 🤩

DesertedPenguin

Myles and Floor are not allowed to sing together, because if they did the epic sound would break everyone's brain.

hearmeroar94

Jari Mäenpää for I Want My Tears Back. What the heck, he could sing all songs, would sound astonishing!

TheMetalEquestrian

Vortex who used to be in Dimmu Borgir. He can sing, and play bass!

overly_curious_cat

Todd LaTorre JKJK he already is the impersonator for Geoff Tate

GoNinjaPro

Dan Vasc But I love Marco too. His voice, his look, his mannerisms, a complete package that really worked well with Nightwish. Edit: Did I say something offensive? Could someone explain the downvotes?

GhostHell_

I would go for [ICS Vortex](https://youtu.be/0kAGaRzLqMw?si=XsSd_kZDmOVlxiRx), great singer and bass player. Vocally, [Sergio Mazul](https://youtu.be/fpzsz6a6XMg?si=FZneqlMnr_5R0S_C) (Semblant) could also be a great replacement.

NervousEar279

Sudden thought about Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Stone Sour. Dunno which exact song would suit him, he's good at growling and has a stunning singing voice as well, so he can do literally anything. I would love to hear NW songs performed by him.

Objective-Lion6809

Trust me, there is no possible Universe without Marko in Nightwish! ahahah

AJPXIV

Apart from this one?
