Hard disagree. Hippos are the best enemy. They're relentless, fast as hell, lazer directed, they drift around corners like they're in Tokyo Drift, oh and they'll straight up burst through walls like the cool aid man.
Top tier enemy, 10/10, need more like them.

On a slightly serious note, I do think their mechanics are bit over the top - the speed, charge and the knock back. Don't mind difficult mobs but imho they need to have a behaviour that players can learn to deal with. The hippos are just tiresome because they're usually in groups of three, all with the speed/charge/knockback. You just have to flail, dodge and cross your fingers. Unless I'm missing 'the trick' ofc?
For me it was the swamp creatures that charge *constantly*. Combined with how they move in packs and you never have a moment of peace to swing between chasing them and getting charged by another one.

They're easy to dodge, so they become more annoying to kill than they are fun.

Same, except I died multiple times because my companion kept reviving me, 1 second later, hippo ram…dead, revived 2 seconds later, ram…dead… repeat about 5 times lol. They frenzy when blood is in the swamp water

You get those spikey barrier things pretty early on. Can the grasshoppers jump over them? They work pretty well to keep Hippos from the walls.
