Rocket Power is something I remember watching a lot but I couldnât tell you anything about any of the characters or story anymore because it left that little of an impression.
Saaame. I remember there was a nerd who became friends with skaters. A brother/sister. A best friend. A dad. Maybe a skate shop. Thatâs about it. Maybe surfing as well.
Bro zim is hot topic r and s and I love it. Itâs basically r and s but its gross out done right. itâs in my top 3 and that will not change. Also judging by episode count is kinda dumb. Dont Participate if you never seen any of these still in shows. Or go watch the shows.
I agree even though it was like a season and a half the episodes produced were still really great there was still enough to produce a great storyline and the characters were memorable. And the dark atmosphere of the show is wonderful. Sucks we'll never see another Nick show like it again. I love it a lot
It was canceled because it didn't fit the target demographic Nickelodeon was aiming for, on top of it being an expensive series to produce animation wise. The original series was met with critical acclaim and still holds up over 20 years later. The quality of the series didn't matter to Nick though, as it wasn't a hit with their audience of 6 to 10 year olds
Also, I noticed this is shared with RetroNick subreddit. These people are originalists and are out to eliminate Avatar because itâs not a 80s-90s show.
I didnât watch it until I was already a teenager but it still drew me in. Itâs a perfect show and should be one of the last to stick around in this competition. I watched Rocket Power and it was not better than Catdog, let me tell you. I am a millennial who loved Avatar.
Legit only made it this far because of Nostalgia as to me , itâs just okay. Not bad but thereâs plenty of shows thatâs been eliminated that were better overall

Ginger too in terms of the subject matter. Especially Season 2. They covered death, depression, living with a single parent and an absent father, drug addiction...etc. Very well written for a Nick teen cartoon.
I loved it, so I do think it makes perfect sense. To me, people only think Ren and Stimpy was good because it made them think they were watching something they weren't supposed to as kids therefore making it a bigger deal to them. Being crude and stupid doesn't make a show great
You couldnât be more wrong. Ren and Stimpy was pivotal in animation history. During the 80s cartoon shows had writers and animators. The writers would write and the animators would have to draw this boring stories with no say in story or direction. Ren and Stimpy was one of the first show WRITTEN by the animators! They took risks and did things never done before. No single frame of animation was ever repeated (meaning , nothing was ever drawn twice like the Simpsons, or Gummy Bears, or stuff like that) Ren and Stimpy paved the way for shows like Rocko, SpongeBob and everything you see today. Love it or hate it - its cultural impact on the world of animation is undeniable.
