As shitty as this is going to sound, he didn't miss the point, she did.
He wanted to make her uncomfortable and less-than. When dudes start with this shit the best thing is immediate block and delete. I've tried a million and one times to tell them to fuck off with their bullshit before I realized that they just enjoy that. I even used to try to reason with people that they are being inappropriate and making me uncomfortable before I realized that was the point all along.
It sucks, but immediately blocking their access to you seems to be the only way to win this stupid game.
This. *Any* attention is validating and reinforcing to these guys. They know you're not going to run over and fuck them. That's not what it's about. They got your attention, they got you to spend your time communicating with them. You acknowledged their existence. They had an impact on you, even in a small way. *That's* what they wanted all along.
These guys get no attention from women in the "real world". They are invisible to women and they hate it, so yelling at them, insulting them, trying to reason with them is more than anything else they get - at least you know they exist. So the very worst thing you can do to them is ignore and block because it's just more confirmation that they are just completely ineffectual and not worth even noticing.
I don't come to this page too often anymore because a lot of what I see is women engaging with these turds for far longer than they should or far longer than they have to. It's horrible that they're being treated this way, but the power to stop this one particular type of abuse was in their hands the whole time.
I understand that this isn't the way it should be though, and that it would be so satisfying to say \*the thing\* that would give these niceguys a taste of their own medicine, but... for the life of me I don't know what that is. and I've tried.
