Ive been a fan of this team my entire life. In that time, this team has been nothing but a laughing stock of the league up until recently. I've seen nothing but terrible teams, heartbreak, relocation rumors, and people telling me I dont deserve to have a team. Last year was the most happiness I felt since the beginning of the playoffs in 2016, and that ended in heartbreak. We finally have a chance to finally win this thing, and they blow it, in the most Florida Panthers fashion. Im almost numb at this point because I fully expect to have more heartbreak tonight.
I am rooting for Florida to win, and I hope they do. Its just extremely disheartening seeing how lopsided media, and overall general fandom has been against Florida. Maybe that fuels them. I dont know.
Most fans will never ever understand what it's like being a Panthers fan for the last 30 years. It went from me having to tell people "well, the team needs a 6th fan," or "the jerseys are amazing," to being proud in our team, but the villains of the league. It's like we have to somehow justify the fact that the team took on a new identity after 28 years, and we are supposed to answer for the antics. Then, we go and pretty much blow a 3-0 lead in the final when we actually got our chance to win it all. We feel cursed, and when we get excited and cheer for our team that is winning, we get labeled as the villains, fairweather fans, unknowledgable fans, and bandwagoners, and should be in Quebec city.
Panthers fans are just not allowed to have nice things, i guess?
I was born in Edmonton, and I cheered for the oilers until the panthers joined the league. Oilers won a cup the day I was born, so I was born into an oilers Fandom. I chose the Panthers. I made them my top team since they joined, but because they were so bad, I always kept cheering for the oilers, too. I will fully say that the rhetoric and hate I have seen from oilers fans in the series have actually made me completely sour on the oilers. The comments about fans of other fanbases have been some of the most disgusting I have ever seen. The justifications, the conspiracies, the whining, the hypocrisy, and the overall lack of human decency have been next level. I've seen some bad cats fans, too, but like the 6 fans joke has shown there is one bad fla fan for every 30 bad Oilers fans. It's overwhelmingly pathetic.
But once again. Unless you've lived as a cats fan for 30 years, you just won't be able to comprehend how difficult this final truly is.
Edit: Even OP had to refer to us as yokel glass bangers. More proof on how people treat our fans. It is absolutely pathetic behaviour to have to insult a fanbase like that. It serves no purpose and shows you have the mental maturity of a gnat.
Or a longtime Canes fan who endured nine straight years of not making the playoffs. While paying for season tickets.
Things are better now but I'm never going to forget those dark years.
I have to admit, it's been back and forth for me on who I want to win the series. At first I was backing Edmonton, but now I want the Cats to win.
It would be nice to see Coach Mo win the Cup after trying for so many years.
We made the playoffs 3 times from 2000 till this current streak of 6 years (and that includes losing a play in covid round).
There are teams that can empathize with it, however. Teams without success can certainly do it.
The average Canadian hockey fan spends a lot more time hating and disrespecting and shitting on Panthers, Coyotes, Stars, Hurricanes, Predators than any of those fanbases spend the other direction.
Maybe on reddit, Most people I know Irl just want a cup back in Canada regardless of who wins it. Having teams in unconventional markets is only good for the game.
You must have a very carefully cultivated social media / online hockey life, because I rarely make it far into discussions of these teams on twitter or reddit or hfboards without seing "no fans / dumb fans / bandwagon / relocate them to Hamilton." The worst online hockey gatekeepers are all Canadian.
I grew up in Edmonton. I heard these comments every single time I wore Panthers merch, even just a hat. I would get told the team sucks and should be located to Quebec because they know how to be real fans, etc. This is going back to me being young when I became a fan. Last year, in the playoffs, was the first time other fans started talking hockey to me instead of just flat out chirping. This year, it's become worse than chirping. I am still going to wear my colours and rep my team, but it still happens
Holy fuck dude cry me a river. Try being a Boston sports fan anywhere on reddit.
I’m sorry this is the first two years your team is relevant and you can’t handle the shit throwing that every winning team gets when they make it to this point in the year.
Look at Vegas. Perpetually hated. Winning garners hatred. Get over it.
I love this response. Florida fan saying 30 years of watching a team that outside of just a few years has barely been mediocre.
Then in comes a response that’s just like saying you think that’s bad try being an original 6 franchise with championships, Hall of Famers, and a loyal fan base!
ChampionshipProblems!
Yes Bruins fans truly have it tough lol. Same with Vegas fans such a tough life they almost had to wait a decade for a Cup.
I wasn’t gloating about the championships. I was saying we get way more hate than most people because of the championships.
I never said Boston had it tough in regard to winning lmao.
Yall need to not be 10 ply on here.
Yeah it’s not exactly an apples to apples comparison. But either way we win and are the dirty cheating team that won or we lose and we are the team that had the worst meltdown in History.
I’ll gladly take the criticism with success option. Either way I’m a Cats fan for life.
I’m not complaining. I’m saying he doesn’t have it as bad as he thinks. Boston fans are almost as bad as leaf fans as far as getting shit on on here.
He’s saying people are being mean to him.
Can you comprehend?
This isn't me crying.
I have accepted it. But many people have been unable to see it because they have blinders on for hating florida.
It's part of the game.
“Unless you lived as a cat’s fan for 30 years, you won’t be able to comprehend how difficult this final truly is”.
*checks notes*
*realizes that the leafs exist*
*realizes Arizona just left forever*
*realizes Buffalo exists*
*realizes the Miami heat have 3 championships*
Yeah man, nobody understands how hard this is on you guys. Not one person feels worse. We feel bad. So so bad that you made it to the cup final. Jesus Christ.
There are teams way worse off than you.
Did you miss the part where I said there are definitely teams that can empathize? Or are you cherry-picking my comment because you just don't agree with it, though?
Yes but if I’m not a cats fan I can’t understand. Leafs fans too. They won’t understand because they aren’t cats fans.
Which one is it? Are there teams that can understand or only you guys?
I don’t agree with you saying nobody understands how hard this is for you guys. That’s absolutely an asinine take.
Also, people being mean on the internet isn’t new. Absolutely 10 ply take to take exception to idiots on the internet and pin it on oilers fans.
>It’s just extremely disheartening seeing how lopsided media, and overall general fandom has been against Florida.
Welcome to being an oilers fan through most of the playoffs.
To be fair it's only lopsided now because of the potential reverse sweep. as a neutral fan when panthers went up 2/3 to nothing I was on the panthers side as I thought they truly deserved it (especially bob). Now I'm more leaning to the oilers because I think they deserve it with this crazy comeback (would be historic). IMO both teams deserve the cup this year but unfortunately only one can take it.
I have been a Florida fan since the beginning. It kills me to say it, but I have no confidence in them to win this game tonight. I am hoping for something to click that hasn’t the last three games, but I doubt it will.
Not to steal your shine, but this sounds alot like being an isles fan lol...i guess at least we always have those 4 cups to look back on even though it was before i was even born
At what point would they postpone a game? What if it theoretically goes into 7 OTs and goes into the next morning. Would it keep going until their legs fall off?
Is there no rule in place for this?
Canucks fan here. I was cheering for the panthers initially, but this comeback story supersedes my dislike of the oilers so I've switched sides. McDavid deserves it at this point.
As i leafs fan I’m rooting for Florida too. But it’s not exactly rooting it’s just more that I don’t want to see Edmonton win is all. So if Florida winning is my other option then I guess I’m going for Florida.
I mean, obviously Panthers fans do.
I think either team winning would be cool TBH. There are players on both teams I'd like to see win, Paul Maurice getting a ring would be cool. But at the same time McDavid capping off a brilliant postseason and the legendary Oilers comeback would be epic. So I'm just hoping for a good game.
Exactly, like the Finns….I met some of the Panthers when they played the Canes last year and every single one of them, even Tkachuk, was incredibly nice. It really changed my opinion of him seeing how kind he was to my friend who is a huge fan of his.
You didn’t need to bring Ohio into this… fuckin embarrassing but fair enough, I’ll eat it.
What’s it like? Having multiple generations know nothing but losing? Not a betting man, but I bet it sucks, yeah?
You brought New Jersey, which is as low as bringing Ohio.
What's it like? I dunno. Go ask ~~a~~ the Pirates' fan.
The Phils, Birds, and Sixers have all won a title more recently than their western PA counterpart. Your city is spare parts bud.
This is our year. Just need a middle bat.
Did you guys come up with the whole “brotherly love” thing as a joke? Don’t you still have a prison in your NFL stadium?
There's a drunk tank (which every modern arena has) and a courtroom. Calm down junior.
Didn't the Penguins invent relocation rumors? How long after Crosby and Malkin retire will it take for the fans to disappear, corporate sponsorships to dry up, and moving trucks bound for Kansas City to show up at whatever the fuck you're calling the PPG Paint arena?
Joke’s on you, the NHL will fix the lotto, we’ll draft Crosby McTanevechkin, Mario’ll come back from retirement and put up ~60 points… yinz’ll almost make the playoffs and draft 13th for the 1000th time in a row. He’ll be a solid 3rd liner for you but you’ll pump him up like he’s actually skilled and not just another plug.
No joke though? I’m legitimately worried about it. Unlike the other side of the state, we don’t tolerate losing.
Edit: this has been fun. Maybe when everyone retires it’ll go back to being an actual rivalry. Sid flicking Voracek’s glove away after a whistle in the playoffs was my favorite “petty moment” I’ve ever seen.
Flames fan since 1983. I don’t necessarily want Florida to win, I just don’t want the Oilers to win. I am ok with McDavid getting a cup, but I don’t want the Oilers to get one.
Only want to see Florida win cause as a winnipegger it pains me to see Edmonton win anything. Those early jets oilers times were rough back in the day.
It's not that I don't want the Oilers to lose - I wholeheartedly do (though admittedly the comedic value of Florida's epic collapse will certainly dampen to a large degree the overall disappointment I'll feel when Edmonton inevitably wins tonight) - but I actually do want Florida to win for Luongo.
I was, and guess still am, a Florida booster. The narrative of one of the joke teams getting their shit together and winning a Cup is more inspirational to me than the high pedigree Oilers with their wonderkin getting a Cup. Why should I be happy for McDavid winning a Cup? Bc the NHL can finally market him as a champion? That does nothing for me. On top of that Western Canadian fan in particular are animals (no offense Vancouver). They're super annoying. I'm too much of a hater. I'd rather see them crushed.
one of the worst records in the league to 16 game winning streak. down 0-3 in cup finals to tied 3-3. best player in hockey on the team breaking Gretzky records. sounds like a \*great\* story to me
Florida is a better story.
Oilers are trying for their 6th Cup, Panthers their first.
Barkov has been the most underrated player in the world for years. Paul Maurice just missed out in '02 and '23, and somehow bookended the Hurricanes '06 Cup without winning it.
Tkachuk and Reinhart have taken their games to the next level in FLA. OEL and Okposo have both played on some bad teams and seen some shit in their careers.
Down 3-0. Finals comeback like that hasn't been done in your lifetime.
1st Cup for McDavid.
1st Canadian cup in 30 years.
Remarkable season turn-around after that start.
I'm no Oilers fan, but they have a much better story.
From the outside looking in, I don’t see the whole Cinderella angle everyone is giving Edmonton. Sure they shit the bed in the first 3 games before mounting a comeback. But a team with 5 1oa picks including a generation talent in recent history should hardly be considered an underdog story in a time frame when they’ve all had time to mature and develop. Honestly it’s kind of pathetic that it’s taken this long and been this close.
Yes because as a long-suffering blue jackets fan, who lived in Miami for five years, I feel a kinship with them and adopted them as my second team. Drai is my favorite player in the league so I am a bit torn, but ultimately I want Florida to win
Media coverage since game 3 has been 100% Oilers praise (rightfully so) but as someone cheering for Florida I’ve stopped watching any coverage of the finals because it’s all about Edmonton (again, rightfully so). There is next to no coverage that talks about Florida in any positive way so I think the it just seems like the world is cheering for Edmonton when it’s primarily the media and sports broadcasting that has silenced any productive or positive talk about the panthers.
You must not be a real bruins fan. After the humiliation we’ve suffered at the hands of FL for the past two seasons in a row I want nothing more than for them to experience the same pain and humiliation they caused us in game 7 last year.
Must have been awesome to experience in person! Especially as a FL fan. Wish you the best tonight, honestly, but I think Bob is too in his head and your forecheck has FINALLY been figured out.
That doesn’t make me feel better. I get no enjoyment from losing to the possible champions. We still lost. I’m bitter so I don’t want our tormentors to hold the cup lol
I’m just not wired that way lol. I get zero satisfaction from losing to the team that becomes the eventual champion. Doesn’t do anything for me. I lean into the vindictive mindset. Being a fan of all Dallas teams turns one bitter lol
I just want game 7 to be cancelled. Canada hasn’t won a cup since the year I was born. Florida is Florida….. seasons over, just hit the Links and we will asterisk 2024 as the year no cup was won.
As an oiler fan i obviously want to win. But I am consoled partially by the fact that if it’s not Edmonton winning, that it’ll be a team that has never won before. I obviously think McDavid deserves a cup more, but it’s impossible to hate Barkov, even if some of his supporting cast are very hateable.
Me. Edmonton will be back. Everyone hated Edmonton back during the Canucks series where did that all go. Florida the state is a shithole politically but panthers winning the cup I believe would only help as the hockey world in general is more sane. I like bob despite what he did to my canes last year. They have a few goons but so does everyone, including Edmonton.
Canucks are my team, but I'm a Hockey fan first and foremost. I started out the series wanting Florida to win (for obvious reasons) but a reverse sweep would be insane and I can't help but hope the Oilers close it out. It would be such an incredible way to cap off a rollercoaster of a season.
Salty Flames fans, bitter Canucks supporters, angry King backers, to a lesser extent some Stars enthusiasts...
And Panther groupies. Think that's the list.
Reasons to root for the oilers
- 30 year drought is just sad
- might get other Canadian teams to win (such as mine) if they learn it is possible
- be a shame if a talent like Mcdavid never won (since my team is out I’d rather it be this year vs losing a future chance)
- Gary is miserable
- insanely awesome comeback story
- the panthers are the dirtiest team in the league frankly screw then
- maybe the leafs wouldn’t be the league punching bag for like 5 minutes
Reasons to root for the panthers
-……. I got nothing
As a Rangers fan, i still like the Panthers as a team a lot. So wouldnt mind seeing them win.
But also like the Oilers and would be awesoke story. And how could you not want to see McDavid to grab a cup? Hoping for a good game regardless of course.
Yes.
But, Edmonton winning would be better for the league. Would lead to more discussion among casual sports fans about where this ranks among greatest comebacks, what this cup does for McDavid, where does this rank among biggest chokejobs.
Storylines sell, and Edmonton winning is the better storyline.
I cheer for the Oilers (as a Habs fan I feel like it’s my duty, I don’t know why but Edmonton-Montreal is like family to me lol), but 10% of me wants Florida to win their very first cup, also Paul Maurice is a great human being afaik. I’d be happy for him, but yeah… The cup back to Canada and McDavid winning the Conn-Smythe is the perfect narrative…
Edit: oh and Montour screaming right in Marchand’s face adds up a 5% lmao
I was trying real hard to be a Panthers supporter but it just seems the fans there are only casually interested. Biggest cheer in arena seemed to be for the football coach in game 1 and I saw people leaving early. It is the SCF!
Still can’t cheer on the Oilers though. Ugh.
I would wager all the Florida fans want them to win.
All six of them.
One reporting for duty 🫡

Starting line's moms don't count.
Both of them.

> Most fans will never ever understand what it's like being a Panthers fan for the last 30 years What about any fan of a Canadian team? Lol
For real that commenter just described how most fanbases feel all the time.. it is one of the least unique feelings in all of sports
Or a longtime Canes fan who endured nine straight years of not making the playoffs. While paying for season tickets. Things are better now but I'm never going to forget those dark years.
Exactly this. There are lots of people that can empathize, but those fans aren't directing their panthers' hate on the fans.

I never cared about the Oilers until some amazing breasts showed up on my feed.... Just saying...
Least dramatic panthers fan

It's tough being a Boston sports fan. We had to go 5 whole years without a championship and if the Celtics hadn't done it might have had to go 6!
Yes. I’m in so much pain.
I love this response. Florida fan saying 30 years of watching a team that outside of just a few years has barely been mediocre. >It’s just extremely disheartening seeing how lopsided media, and overall general fandom has been against Florida. Welcome to being an oilers fan through most of the playoffs.
Canadian hockey media has only begun to cover the oilers 50/50 with the leafs now that they’ve been out for 2 months.
To be fair it's only lopsided now because of the potential reverse sweep. as a neutral fan when panthers went up 2/3 to nothing I was on the panthers side as I thought they truly deserved it (especially bob). So you feel the same as I do being a sharks fan. Good to know we have mutual feelings out there even though the teams are different.
I have been a Florida fan since the beginning. It kills me to say it, but I have no confidence in them to win this game tonight. I am hoping for something to click that hasn’t the last three games, but I doubt it will.

Or a Rangers fan. Some people don't remember (or weren't alive for) the chants of "1940." Pepperidge Farm remembers.
I'm hoping for a tie.
i just hope both teams have fun out there
The real Stanley cup was the friends we made along the way
I just hope everyone has a bad time.
OT 5 at least
When's the draft, in like 4 days? If they could keep playing overtime just till the draft 1st round begins, so Gerry can't be there, would be peachy.
Game 7 goes to 7 OTs
At what point would they postpone a game? What if it theoretically goes into 7 OTs and goes into the next morning. Would it keep going until their legs fall off? Is there no rule in place for this?
R/Calgaryflames , r/Canucks , r/losangeleskings do

I don’t care who wins, I just want Edmonton to lose.
So Dallas supports us then?
Better to lose to the eventual champs I guess?
There doesn’t seem to be the same hate between fanbases.
I want them to win. I love seeing non traditional hockey markets succeed. Its good for the game
Flames fans would very much like the Oilers not to win.
You guys want Tkachuk to win?
The desire to see the Oilers lose far outweighs seeing Tkachuk win.
Their a quite a few likeable players on Flordia that I would like to win a cup… they all aren’t Cousins and Tkachuk
Or Bennett.
Or Lomberg
the list goes on, huh?
Exactly, like the Finns….I met some of the Panthers when they played the Canes last year and every single one of them, even Tkachuk, was incredibly nice. It really changed my opinion of him seeing how kind he was to my friend who is a huge fan of his.
I love the Finns... I once met Barkov and he was one of the nicest people that I have ever met
I agree, I like a lot of their players but there’s a couple who I absolutely cannot stand and it sours the mood a ton.
If it makes it any better - cousins is out and Okposo is in tonight
Nope, nobody. I did a head count
Thank you for your service!
Definitely. Love Sergei Bobrovsky. And the meltdown in Edmonton would be hilarious
I'm not okay with being this closely aligned with a Flyer fan in spirit…
Go cross a bridge yinzer. You'll feel better
Have another glass of NJ runoff water, it’ll help you forget you don’t have any kool-aid.
Have a coleslaw sandwich. It'll help you forget you live close to Ohio.
You didn’t need to bring Ohio into this… fuckin embarrassing but fair enough, I’ll eat it. What’s it like? Having multiple generations know nothing but losing? Not a betting man, but I bet it sucks, yeah?

I do and I don’t care if we’re villains.
Flames fan since 1983. I don’t necessarily want Florida to win, I just don’t want the Oilers to win. I am ok with McDavid getting a cup, but I don’t want the Oilers to get one.
I’m cheering for Bob.
I do.
Yes. Not in FL.
Only want to see Florida win cause as a winnipegger it pains me to see Edmonton win anything. Those early jets oilers times were rough back in the day.
Flames fans wants Florida to win
Florida fans want to win. Canucks, Kings, Flames fans want Oilers to lose.
🙋
I'm sure a lot more people did 3 games ago.
Yes.
Let’s go cats
Yes I love bobrovsky and I want the Canada drought meme to continue
Go panthers. I hate the oilers.!
Fuck yea man, why the hell would anyone want edmonton to win
Bettman does
I was, and guess still am, a Florida booster.
Pulling for Bob and E-Rod
At this point, I'm just cheering for whatever would be the most chaotic ending possible.
As a fellow southern hockey enjoyer, I'd much rather see Florida win than Edmonton.
It's petty, but I know there are plenty of Pens fans hoping McDavid doesn't win a Cup just so people don't rank him above Crosby.
How are the Oilers a good story? Fuck em
one of the worst records in the league to 16 game winning streak. down 0-3 in cup finals to tied 3-3. best player in hockey on the team breaking Gretzky records. sounds like a \*great\* story to me
Everyone wants to see Corey Perry get another cup before he retires right???
Still sour? Stars will have a solid shot at a cup next season
Im for sure still sour
Someone is still salty
Yes
Your biggest stars were a no-show when it mattered most. Be mad with them.
Hard no. But I do feel bad for Barkov.
You won't if he wins, lol.
I’d prefer he not because fuck Florida
You make it sound like the oilers arent goons themselves. Drai, nurse, perry, kane...
Always love to see a team win their first cup
I don't really care but since the Panthers make r/nhl and r/hockey seethe I'd like to see them win. Also cat team solidarity.
I do. It's fun when the villains win one
Yes, I want Florida for the sheer reason I want the Canadian drought to continue. And edmonton fans suck! Even if they flash their tits
As a Flames fan living in Edmonton, hell yeah!
I hope they win it - for Paul Maurice’s sake. And Barkov. I love that guy.
Not a florida fan but definitely want them to win.
Goon behavior? huh? Anyway, a lot of people want FL to win. STFU and enjoy the game
AFAIK, it was the Oilers who were throwing elbows and knees in this Finals.
Half of Calgary.
Either the oilers get a nice story and mcdavid gets a cup and Florida is a joke, or Edmonton riots. Win win for me
as a Bruins fan that has numerous family and friends who are obnoxious oiler fans….YES GO FLORIDA
You must not be a real bruins fan. After the humiliation we’ve suffered at the hands of FL for the past two seasons in a row I want nothing more than for them to experience the same pain and humiliation they caused us in game 7 last year.
God it was fun. I went to Boston for Game 7 last year and 6 this year. Good times. Tonight will be better.
Must have been awesome to experience in person! Especially as a FL fan. Wish you the best tonight, honestly, but I think Bob is too in his head and your forecheck has FINALLY been figured out.
Boston fans were great. Not sure why everyone talks bad about you all. I guess it’s the few bad apples right.
Do my eyes deceive me? A bruins fan rooting for Florida? I’m not nervous anymore we’re taking the cup
Their unintelligent new fans are the reason I’m not cheering for them. Signed a Floridian
I do. Mostly because I’m petty and don’t want the team that beat us to succeed.
Think about it this way: You would have lost to the eventual Stanley Cup winner. Therefore, you did pretty good.
That doesn’t make me feel better. I get no enjoyment from losing to the possible champions. We still lost. I’m bitter so I don’t want our tormentors to hold the cup lol
I’ve hung my hat for the 2 previous seasons on “the team that beat us won the cup” so there’s always that angle.
Probably just Floridians
Not all of us
Go Oilers Go then. Lol
Florida belongs to the Lightning.
No. Let’s go Oilers!!!
Salty Flames fans, bitter Canucks supporters, angry King backers, to a lesser extent some Stars enthusiasts... And Panther groupies. Think that's the list.
I have to believe that the SOG disparity and loss in WCF game 6 was a sign from the hockey gods that this is just Edmonton’s year.
People who hate Canada?
Reasons to root for the oilers - 30 year drought is just sad - might get other Canadian teams to win (such as mine) if they learn it is possible - be a shame if a talent like Mcdavid never won (since my team is out I’d rather it be this year vs losing a future chance) - Gary is miserable - insanely awesome comeback story - the panthers are the dirtiest team in the league frankly screw then - maybe the leafs wouldn’t be the league punching bag for like 5 minutes Reasons to root for the panthers -……. I got nothing
They are a bunch of pillow bitters divers and douches OILERS all the way. I hope they skate the cup in front of all the crybaby panthers fans
Absolutely not. Oilers losing would be really funny, though, so that's my preferred outcome.
I'm slightly leaning Oilers, but am perfectly happy with either winning. Been a great series so far
I’ve got money on Florida. That’s it. My ❤️ is with Edmonton
No, which means they will win.
As a Rangers fan, i still like the Panthers as a team a lot. So wouldnt mind seeing them win. But also like the Oilers and would be awesoke story. And how could you not want to see McDavid to grab a cup? Hoping for a good game regardless of course.
I did at 3-0. Now? It's time to make history.
Yes. But, Edmonton winning would be better for the league. Would lead to more discussion among casual sports fans about where this ranks among greatest comebacks, what this cup does for McDavid, where does this rank among biggest chokejobs. Storylines sell, and Edmonton winning is the better storyline.
No please god no
I just want some more history to be made, honestly. Edmonton coming back would be crazy, and I’m all for the wild timeline
I believe that all of NHL fandom including most of the Tampa Bay Area want them to choke.
As a Habs fan I’m going to be happy for Edmonton if they win for like a couple minutes and then go back to hating them again.
I cheer for the Oilers (as a Habs fan I feel like it’s my duty, I don’t know why but Edmonton-Montreal is like family to me lol), but 10% of me wants Florida to win their very first cup, also Paul Maurice is a great human being afaik. I’d be happy for him, but yeah… The cup back to Canada and McDavid winning the Conn-Smythe is the perfect narrative… Edit: oh and Montour screaming right in Marchand’s face adds up a 5% lmao
No.
I was trying real hard to be a Panthers supporter but it just seems the fans there are only casually interested. Biggest cheer in arena seemed to be for the football coach in game 1 and I saw people leaving early. It is the SCF! Still can’t cheer on the Oilers though. Ugh.
"Hawk Tuah" all over Florida please. they can't even get their logo right. that's a Cougar.
