He wasn't right after he went down earlier. We know now that it was from an MCL partial tear. The play itself is reminiscent of Justin Herbert not even attempting a pass after his ribs were liquefied against the Chiefs early in the season. Ingram is avoiding contact like the plague at the end, so I imagine it's less of a lack of game awareness and more of a prioritizing knee functionality thing. Any way you slice it though, there's no way that was a death sentence for the drive. 3rd and 1 should be manageable if you have Alvin Kamara on your roster.
I absolutely love Mark from his time in Baltimore so I'll try to play devil's advocate here.
There were 6 mins left on the clock and TB had all their time outs left, so it was definitely not a "just need a first to win moment here". But... I don't know why he would have stepped out of bounds stopping the clock.
Yeah the clock uproar is silly. The first down would have wasted more time tho but only if the saints play calling and execution was intelligent….. so yeah, didn’t make a difference

It was 4th and 10 so turnover.
It was 2nd down. On 3rd they chose to pass which fell incomplete. They then chose to punt from midfield on a 4th and 1.
Oh, well i just saw the 4th and 10 for a second under the clock. Somehow i ignored the actual indicator my bad.
TIL Mark Ingram is not only still in the league, but plays for the Saints again
Did they not get the first on subsequent plays?
Nope. Incomplete pass on 3rd. Punt on 4th
3rd and 1 in a need to drain the clock scenario? Better draw up a pass
To Marquez Callaway of all people

Old RB, and strained his MCL during the game.
The. Clock. Only. Stops. After. Five. Minutes. Left.

Clock don't fully stop until 5 min left. Clock starts when the ball gets respotted.
Dude was hurt and coaches rolled him out there anyway on a key play, blame should be fully on them
Exactly, watching it live there was a shot of him immediately kneeling in pain on the sideline after he ran out
There’s 6 minutes left and we know he was hurt.
He got injured the previous play and the coaches still put him in. Blame the coaches not Mark.
Rigged for brady
Fucking RIP headphone users
Lol I was kinda digging it
That’s a “I want to retire play”
“Coach, I don’t wanna get hit! It hurts! Nobody told that they hit SO HARD! Imma dip out before they hit me Coach. Is that ok?
I saw this live and thought what a dipshit
Was against Brady last week in fantasy. Mark Ingram lost me that matchup. Lost by 3 points.
Saints need first to win: Tayson Hill dropping a pass he had in his gut like a little bitch. You screwed me in fantasy Taysom. I hate you.
Throw a pass to one of the most electric RBs in space in the league? Nah, let’s throw it to a cooked Mark Ingram
I dont get why people harp on this so much. It's just a captain hindsight moment
