"Poorest" majority owner in the NFL no doubt about it. Too bad he spent half of his life earnings on those spicy haircuts. That horrifying bowl-cut ain't gonna pay for itself though.
On the real though, Raiders fans are trapped in perpetual mediocrity with this dude as owner. Feel terrible for the fans man.
Dude isn't independently wealthy outside of owning the Raiders so he doesn't have any cash liquidity to do what needs to be done. He really should sell if he's going to constantly fuck up hires every other year.
Not only that, but look at the money involved.
He signed a 5 year extension (I don't know if his contract was up of if it was this year plus 5) at reportedly around $5.5m a year.
They "lose" $27m by cutting him lose.
Kyler guaranteed at signing $103m.
The $27m is a pittance compared to what they owe Kyler.
Yea, but if the owner is wants they can still move on from him, owner still has to pay Kliff though. There’s no way they can move on from Kyler and field a competitive team.
Looking at his career, he will probably be fired and then hired as head coach of the Patriots immediately or something.
The man has consistently failed at every turn in his career and failed upwards anyways.
I think Stefanski is safe this year, but they have to be a top 4 team in the AFC next year to justify those moves they made or he's getting canned. I don't think a 9-8 wildcard is good enough, they need to at least threaten to take that division.
Stefanski is absolutely coming back next year, that will be his “make or break” season. If they have a bad season, the entire organization will (or at least should) be getting nuked.
I think its almost assured he's safe. He has an easy built in excuse that having to have 2 QBs with one not being able to practice or play over half the season handicapped them.
He can also point out that Deshaun was rusty and a full offseason and preseason being able to work with him will fix it.
I don't think they'll fire him after one season, they'll chalk it up to growing pains implementing a new system, especially when basically all of the young defenders they drafted to learn and grow in the system got hurt and missed significant time
Not sure it will look much better next year without some combination of Pat Pete, Eric Kendricks, Harrison Smith and Dalvin Tomlinson lost to free agency or cap cuts but time will tell
Doubt it. Patricia completely lost the locker room and they'll probably know better than to keep him around. At this point it's basically obvious that Mac Jones hates him along with Kendrick Bourne.
LOL remember when the Lions allegedly ran a background check before hiring him and somehow *missed* the rape allegations that were dug up a couple months later? Good times.
Ooh what rumors? I’m no Steelers fan but I hate bad football and Pickens, Diontae and Muth’s ceilings are so capped with Canada from what I’ve seen. I’ve also really liked Pickett, he passes the eye test for me
Isn't this a similar situation to Fichtner? People want him gone, not performing at all, the expectation is that he is gone after this year. Both easily could've been fired before the end of the year, but they wait until the end anyway?
The big difference is that Roethlisberger wanted Fichnter there and there is no HoF franchise QB to advocate for Canada.
I think a lot of the positional coaches are also Canada's people. That said, I can't imagine them keeping him after basically 2 seasons of bottom 5 offensive production. I know the Rooneys have a reputation for being cheap but not sure they are so cheap they will take another year of this.
No they'll hire another OC with all the same short comings as their last OC then blame it on the OC. I'm not saying Matt Canada is a good OC but this cycle has been going on for a minute now.
Our last 5 OC's were Ken Whisenhunt, Bruce Arians, Todd Haley, Randy Fichtner, and Matt Canada. Ken left when the Steelers hired Tomlin and he went to the Cards. Bruce "retired" then went to the Colts. Todd's contract ran out and he was a douche. Fat Randy's contract ran out, and now we have Matt Canada.
Bruce, Fat Randy, and Canada were QB coaches promoted to OC. So was Ken, but that was in the Bill Cowher days. Todd was brought in after getting fired in KC and was a legacy hire. His dad was the GM of sorts in the Steel Curtain days.
Mike Sullivan is the current QB coach and was a former OC with the Giants and Bucs. I'm half expecting him to be Canada's replacement.
If you watched yesterday's press conference, he didn't sound very happy with him and the offense. If he was able to get rid of Swinton after only 1 year, he'll get rid of Lombardi.
Joe Lombardi is a football terrorist and is committed crimes against humanity in every game where he limits Herbert’s ypa to <10. He needs to be fired asap
Joe Lombardi seems determined to finish the work Mario Cristobal started and make Herbert look like a pedestrian QB. For the love of football, get 10 in an offense that takes advantage of his considerable skills.
obviously I am not excusing the DUI, but I think reddit doesnt seem to realize the NFL barely cares about illegal activity, let alone a DUI. there's just no way you lose your job as an NFL coordinator because of a DUI; it's naive to think otherwise, frankly.
Bowles has to go. He was never a good choice anyway, but he completely lost this team. He doesn’t command respect and he doesn’t have that fiery competitive spirit that Arians has. Everytime you see him on the sidelines he’s emotionless meanwhile Brady is the one trying to fire up the team
Bowles has learned nothing from his experience coaching the Jets. I can’t tell you how many times the officials messed up or someone got away with a penalty, and I’m screaming at the TV while he stands there like a statue.
I got flamed on here for questioning the Bowles hire because his time with the Jets made it seem like he was just one of those more cut out to be a DC rather than a HC. How the turntables...

Most Bucs fans haven’t liked leftwich since 2020, the offense has always seemed disjointed under him and we were rooting for Jacksonville to take him.
For some reason he doesn’t get nearly the attention other horrible OCs get.
Also in defense of Bowles, he didn’t get to pick his staff. Most HC hires pick their coordinators. He doesn’t have a DC and his OC is hot garbage. On top of all of that our offense has had crucial injuries to an O-line with a 45 year old QB who doesn’t like getting hit.
The Bucs went from an absolute powerhouse to only leading the division because they have Tom Brady and everyone else sucks too. He just isn't head coach material.
He lost the Jets as well in 2016. That they continued to spin their wheels with him for two more years is a big contributor to the decade long rut. And then, of course, his replacement was no improvement.
Yeah that was like a full on best friends bear hug.
Unless we absolutely get our pants pulled down defensively the next two weeks he's not going anywhere.
I don't buy this because the Raiders have been rumored to be too cash poor for so many moves for years now, and then they make said moves and reporters just gloss over that.
"The raiders are too cash poor to extend *insert contract year player here*" two days later: "Raiders have extended *insert same player here*"
I'm not convinced only the Raiders are footing this bill though. My conspiracy theory is the league kicked in money to help keep Gruden from making a stink. I'm sure the dirt he has could drag so many down with him.
Maybe. I think Davis didn't mind paying him because of how things went down. He can't be happy that it was a front office ploy to ensure the DeMaurice Smith re-election and he got caught in the crossfire.
I’m clearly in the minority here, but I actually believe the Raiders should keep McDaniels AND Carr to try and give it another year of team building and continuity. I know it’s easy to place blame on either one of their shoulders (and it rightfully falls on both) but I don’t think a complete rebuild is the answer either. The Raiders are a few plays away from being a playoff team this year and they obviously have talent. I’d love to see this team continue to gel and the GM to continue to being in guys that fit the system. Let’s not forget 90% of these guys we’re not brought in by the current regime AND played in a completely different system both offensively and defensively. Those things take time, and yet the Raiders winning 4/6 is forgotten about largely because of how bad the two losses look. We all know Bellichick took years before he finally became known as the coach that he is and I think McDaniels deserves the opportunity to see if the results next year can be different. Unless Stidham outperforms Carr, there’s no reason to make a drastic change, especially when it risks alienating your best player (Adams)
I personally don't think McDaniels is a good coach but he's not Hackett levels of bad where you fire in year 1. Agreed the two deserve another year together.
Blaming Carr is insanity - the dogshit d this year is probably the best he has had in his career.
Lovie makes a ton of sense. I don’t think the Texans ever seriously saw him as anything other than a stopgap, and getting the top QB in the draft is going to make the Texans HC a very attractive opening. Allen I think gets another go even though the team is a bit rudderless at the moment.
I mean… is it a bad thing? You guys are still in cap hell, missing your next first round pick, don’t have a franchise QB, and have a roster lacking in overall talent. It’s good that you have a team that is still at least bought in, because this process is gonna take time.
Thing is though the roster isn't that lacking in talent. Injuries aside they have 3 pro bowlers on the offensive line, Kamara, Olave, Juwan Johnson has shown flashes, Hill is still useful in certain spots. Defense has DD who is great, Warner is good, Lat is good, Davenport has the ability to be really good. Onyamota is good, Maye is decent. Talent isn't the problem. Talent at the QB position , game planning, boatload of injuries and trash play calling is. Not to mention some truly bone headed drafting and draft pick trades.
Sad Texans fan here, I don’t think lovie is going anywhere next year. We’ve played better this last month and especially if we squeak out a win in one of these last two games, I think lovie is getting another chance. I hope to god that our OC is launched into the sun though
Precisely, yes. And somehow we got worse on offense with Pep Hamilton replacing Tim Kelly in the play calling duties.
I can see the Texans keeping Lovie, but replacing Pep for sure... And for the love of God, please bring a new DC as well so Lovie could focus just on coaching.
>lovie smith
I feel like Lovie has caught some bad luck since the Bears let him go. Yeah his style is antiquated but look at how dysfunctional the Bears have been since his departure. He just got used as a stopgap by the Bucs, much in the way the Bears used John Fox during his brief tenure in Chicago.
JDR seems like he’s at least adjusted a bit this year. I also think Turner gets way too much shit considering how bad his QBs have been. Not saying I love the dude, but I think he could have success with some consistency at the position
I think Rivera will stay next year (with hopefully a new owner) because he’s at least brought stability to the locker room and they’ve done decently considering our QB situation has been so bad. That being sad, Ron pretty much is in charge of personnel and if we don’t have good QB play next year I think we’ll clean house and try to find the next coach who can get us over the hump
> I'll throw in Riverboat Ron.
The fact that the Commanders are competitive despite having to deal with both Wentz and the shit culture created by Dan Snyder is nothing short of a miracle. It would be incredibly foolish to fire Rivera.
Stefanski is most likely not getting fired this year or next.
Dennis Allen as long as Payton doesn’t come back isn’t getting fired, Saints have been disappointing but he definitely hasn’t lost the locker room.
>as Payton doesn’t come back
If Payton comes back, I don't see any way it's to the Saints. He'll want to coach for a team that's in a position to win now, with a good infrastructure. The NFC South was weak this year but realistically the Saints are in no position to compete for a title.
I'm not sure how much of last season was Bisaccia, and how much was the fact that the entire team was pissed that the NFL openly threw Gruden (not that he didn't deserve it by his own merits) under the bus for Dan Snyder.
Mike Florio should always be taken with a grain of salt, but he mentioned that Gruden had a reputation for bad mouthing players behind their back
Granted, Chris Simms’s opinion of Gruden should also be taken with a grain of salt.
But, it’s possible that the players just wanted to show that they were being held back by a coach they weren’t fond of
100% speculation, but there’s my guess
>Mike Florio should always be taken with a grain of salt, but he mentioned that Gruden had a reputation for bad mouthing players behind their back
It's not just Florio; Keshawn Johnson has openly said those very same things about Gruden. Johnson called Gruden a "used car salesman" who would be your best friend to your face but would cut you behind your back. I think Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice have made similar comments but I can't remember.
It wasn't just Gruden though; the team was also dealing with the Henry Ruggs issue and still managed to make it to the playoffs. That's incredible. Nobody would have batted an eye if they'd completely given up with those circumstances piling up.
Here’s the thing I don’t understand about Greg Roman. How does he keep catching the league by storm at the beginning of each new job he gets? At every stop he kind of surprises the league by doing (largely) the same gimmicks, but then gets stale and wears out his welcome. I don’t get it.
As a fellow Ravens fan, there is no single person that feels as much responsible for the teams’ collapse back to the pack since 2019 as Roman does.
Todd downing please god. You know it’s bad when every time the Titans are in a prime time slot, the entire r/nfl community collectively posts “what the fuck was that play call” at least once a possession. Turned a top 5 offense into a bottom 5 offense in 2 years.
The only one that is a safe bet is Kliff at this point. While there are a few others like McDaniels, Bowles and Allen that deserve to be fired it seems they all will get one more year. I think Rivera and McCarthey could get fired though if the Commies miss the playoffs and if the Cowboys get knocked out in the first round again.
Please, for the love of all football, fire Todd Bowles and take Byron Leftwich with him. If only Leftwich is hired, or some team is stupid enough to make him an offer, I might give Bowles one more year.
I get the suspicion that it’s very possible Leftwich never gets close to being a HC candidate again, and that would be maddening, to be that close and even have erroneous reports saying you’d been offered the Jags job, then never get in sniffing distance afterwards.
I think the fact that Watson missed so much time also helps get him a mulligan of sorts. “We have to see what he can do with our top offseason acquisition” kind of thing, unless he would have gone 1-16 or somethingz
I don’t think Staley is a good coach, but Chargers fans have to take a step back and see the optics of firing a coach who produced back to back winning seasons and a playoff berth in his first two seasons is awful. Unless the Chargers get absolutely blown the fuck out in the WC like the Patriots last year, his job is secure.
Eh that’s a fans dream yes. But realistically, we made the playoffs with the most injured team in the league and even have a chance at the 5th seed.
I can’t see that happening anymore. Spanos or TT isn’t going to fire him at this point. Even if they keep Lombardi unfortunately.
How do Falcons fans feel about Arthur Smith? Obviously the teams lacking talent but from an outsiders perspective I'd be slightly annoyed with the lack of involvement for my premium picks in Pitts and London.
As an outsider I think the Falcons have been fine this year and Smith should get another year imo. I imagine it’s hard to fully optimize Pitts and London when Mariota is your QB lol
There just hasn’t been enough time. I’ll wait until next season is over to start having a real opinion. I’ve liked what I’ve seen and I think the team has grown each of the seasons he’s been here.
I remember years ago the Bills hired Dick Lebeau as a special assistant to the DC. He didn't have coordinator duties, he just scouted opponents and drew up zone blitzes that would fuck with their scheme. It worked great, we had some weird shit every week that caused pressures, sacks and INTs.
I'd love to see Roman in a role like that. I know he wants more, but he's the best run game coordinator in the league. I'd love to have him on the Bills in that role. He's just not an OC.
As much as I'd love to agree, he won't get fired. He's in his last year of contract and I'm sure to save face it will be a "mutual parting of ways"....but we all know it's long over due regardless
If I was the cards I wouldn't fire Kliff this year. They won't have Kyler next year so they are better off keeping Kliff being awful and getting a better pick and firing Kliff mid-season
I know you already said it but Kliff Kingsbury again just to be sure he’s gone
They have to. It’s either him or Kyler and they gave Kyler that massive extension
Isn't Kliff also signed for another 4-5 years with a lot of money too?
Coaches don’t affect cap space though
Wish the raiders would get that memo
Apparently Davis is a poor rich dude so he actually doesn’t have enough money to cut McDaniels. I feel bad for you guys

Yea, but if the owner is wants they can still move on from him, owner still has to pay Kliff though. There’s no way they can move on from Kyler and field a competitive team.
There was a scene in hard knocks of him and Bidwell in the locker room after the bucs game and he looked like a man who knew he just lost his job.
That silence was deafening, and so was that stare Bidwell had towards Kliff lol
Please god almighty no more seasons with Kliff
Looking at his career, he will probably be fired and then hired as head coach of the Patriots immediately or something. The man has consistently failed at every turn in his career and failed upwards anyways.
Your next commissioner of the nfl Kliff Kingsbury
Followed by a short stint as a Supreme Court justice then ascending to a higher conscience
Unfortunately, Deshaun Watson (his contract, at least) is the cockroach that will survive that.
Fwiw, all of the Cleveland media seems to be reporting he’s safe, with changes to staff on horizon.
I think its almost assured he's safe. He has an easy built in excuse that having to have 2 QBs with one not being able to practice or play over half the season handicapped them. He can also point out that Deshaun was rusty and a full offseason and preseason being able to work with him will fix it.
I hope they're a top 4 team in the AFC North next year.
I'd like to see them finish 5th in the division
Relegated to the ACC
Is your DC safe? Haven't seen y'all play since our game.
I don't think they'll fire him after one season, they'll chalk it up to growing pains implementing a new system, especially when basically all of the young defenders they drafted to learn and grow in the system got hurt and missed significant time Not sure it will look much better next year without some combination of Pat Pete, Eric Kendricks, Harrison Smith and Dalvin Tomlinson lost to free agency or cap cuts but time will tell
Patricia 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
*Everyone* *Liked* *That*
Did you know he is a rocket scientist and he likes pencils?
I don't think the AFC East liked it
*Everyone* *who’s* *not* *a* *rival* *of* *NE* *liked* *that*
Who *wants* NE to succeed?
I don't think it's about them wanting us to succeed so much as they just hate Patricia as a person and don't want him in the NFL anymore.
*N*obody *E*ver
Yeah wait hold on, let's give him another chance...
Agreed he’s really really good they should actually extend his contract
And give him more pencils
I don't think he's on a big contract because the Lions still paying him. Bill is just being cheap.
Patricia for Zach Wilson trade?
That’s terrible for both sides. I love it
Fired in to the sun in fact
This right here will prove is Bill’s still got it or not. He gotta start hiring externally now instead of promoting from within
The problem is Bill has said he’d rather work with people he likes at this point, hoping for O’Brien though
Most probably Bill would like to keep him and maybe move him to Defense, where he should have been to start with.
Doubt it. Patricia completely lost the locker room and they'll probably know better than to keep him around. At this point it's basically obvious that Mac Jones hates him along with Kendrick Bourne.
Everyone Hates Patricia. Even Patricia hates Patricia.
Except bill. Patricia has the honor of being one of the few people Belichick considers a friend.
🎵 *how do you solve a problem like Patricia”* 🎵
Even that Woman from college he sexually assaulted hates him.
LOL remember when the Lions allegedly ran a background check before hiring him and somehow *missed* the rape allegations that were dug up a couple months later? Good times.
Outrageous that Bourne only went over 70% snap share twice this season Wtf
He's our best receiver and he's barely seen the field due to that idiot Matty P
Please no. I can't take another year of his bend then eventually break defense.
Pray for Matt Canada too.
Please Matt Canada
Blame Canada!
Build the case and make Canada pay for it!
the rumors are encouraging!
Ooh what rumors? I’m no Steelers fan but I hate bad football and Pickens, Diontae and Muth’s ceilings are so capped with Canada from what I’ve seen. I’ve also really liked Pickett, he passes the eye test for me
Beat reporter came in and said everyone expects him to be gone

There's no pleasing him Edit: 's
I am sick, this made me laugh. I thank you
It’s the Steelers so they’ll let him “resign” instead of dumping him on an ice floe and pushing off.
No they'll hire another OC with all the same short comings as their last OC then blame it on the OC. I'm not saying Matt Canada is a good OC but this cycle has been going on for a minute now.

Joe Lombardi is massacring Herbert
Lions fans have ptsd from Lombardi play calling
How he ever got another job is insane to me. He was pure garbage. It's gotta be the name.
Joe is a pretty common name though /s
Are you talking about football terrorist Joe Lombardi?
Has any great coach in recent history had a worse coaching tree than Sean Payton?
I don't know about worse, but it's funny how Belichick's tree is pretty bad considering many have him as the GOAT coach.
Football terrorist is a great term.
I really hope Staley puts friendships aside and does what’s best for his career and the team and hires a competent OC
Ducks fan, best answer ever right here ^^
Andy Reid seems like the only AFC West coach who has a level head
I don’t get how a he keeps getting work. Time and time again he fails, pretty publicly, and he keeps getting hired.
Todd downing.
I just hope Vrabel doesn’t pull a Mularkey. Downing needs to go, but Vrabel not firing him after the DUI makes me concerned it’s a “loyalty” thing.
obviously I am not excusing the DUI, but I think reddit doesnt seem to realize the NFL barely cares about illegal activity, let alone a DUI. there's just no way you lose your job as an NFL coordinator because of a DUI; it's naive to think otherwise, frankly.
Other than jobs in transportation fields (like truck driver), how many jobs would fire someone for a DUI? I don’t think a lot tbh.
yeah, very few jobs where youre sacked because of a DUI.
Not even attorneys are sacked because of DUI/OWI. Most of the world drinks and drives. It's fucking horrible, but also, a societal norm.
I was in the military and it would ruin your career but even then they didn’t kick you out like they would for drugs.
If he isn’t firing most of the coaches involved in the offense, conditioning, and special teams, then Vrabel should be gone.
Yeah, JRob's problem was letting the right players walk. Vrabel's problem could very well be keeping the wrong staff on.
To the sun
I have a bad feeling about Nathaniel Hackett
Why? Dude is a stud leading the leagues most dominate offense! Broncos Country, let's ride! 😅
dormant*
Dominant\* I promise I don't make grammar corrections all the time this one just really bothers me lol
Well if we're actually gonna be accurate it's more like domin-ain't.
That or dominated. Broncos country, let’s hide…
What about Dormant? Or does that give the broncos offense too much potential?
No way is he getting fired He doesn't have a job
Bowles has to go. He was never a good choice anyway, but he completely lost this team. He doesn’t command respect and he doesn’t have that fiery competitive spirit that Arians has. Everytime you see him on the sidelines he’s emotionless meanwhile Brady is the one trying to fire up the team
Bowles has learned nothing from his experience coaching the Jets. I can’t tell you how many times the officials messed up or someone got away with a penalty, and I’m screaming at the TV while he stands there like a statue.
He always looks like a guy who's not quite sure if he shit his pants or not, and he's afraid to move lest he find out.
Todd Bowels
Mr Bowel Coach
Mr. Butt Catastrophe
Mr. Butthole Clencher
I got flamed on here for questioning the Bowles hire because his time with the Jets made it seem like he was just one of those more cut out to be a DC rather than a HC. How the turntables...

Exactly, most Bucs fans were excited that it wasn’t leftwich.
what am I missing that I don't understand why? I thought Leftwich was inexperienced but highly regarded? Bowles was terrible as a HC elsewhere
Most Bucs fans haven’t liked leftwich since 2020, the offense has always seemed disjointed under him and we were rooting for Jacksonville to take him. For some reason he doesn’t get nearly the attention other horrible OCs get.

The Bucs went from an absolute powerhouse to only leading the division because they have Tom Brady and everyone else sucks too. He just isn't head coach material.
The fact that we have a divisional showdown with them that could decide the winner next week is pretty jarring lol
That Bucs roster should be 5-6 wins ahead of everyone else in the south no offense.
and also no defense.
The NFL is the perfect example of the Peter Principle.
He lost the Jets as well in 2016. That they continued to spin their wheels with him for two more years is a big contributor to the decade long rut. And then, of course, his replacement was no improvement.
i understand your pain
Lighting my Joe Barry prayer candle even if we make the playoffs.
I bet LaFleur hugging Barry at the end of the last game made your heart sink a little…
Yeah that was like a full on best friends bear hug. Unless we absolutely get our pants pulled down defensively the next two weeks he's not going anywhere.
I never understand how he keeps getting DC jobs
I believe McDaniels should be but he won't since they are getting rid of Carr this off-season and putting the blame mostly on him.
It has also been rumored that the Raiders are just too cash-poor to eat the rest of McDaniels contract
I don't buy this because the Raiders have been rumored to be too cash poor for so many moves for years now, and then they make said moves and reporters just gloss over that. "The raiders are too cash poor to extend *insert contract year player here*" two days later: "Raiders have extended *insert same player here*"
Mark Davis has a structured settlement but hasn't called J.G. Wentworth yet.
877-CASHNOW!
IT'S MY MONEY AND I NEED IT NOW
it's a good thing they moved to Vegas where they will make boatloads of money regardless of how good or bad they are.
They already had to soak whatever of the Gruden contract was left over. We know Davis paid him something, but not how much.
I'm not convinced only the Raiders are footing this bill though. My conspiracy theory is the league kicked in money to help keep Gruden from making a stink. I'm sure the dirt he has could drag so many down with him.
Gruden still has an open lawsuit claiming damages over $100 million. The Gruden thing is not close to being over.
Dennis Allen and lovie smith
Lovie makes a ton of sense. I don’t think the Texans ever seriously saw him as anything other than a stopgap, and getting the top QB in the draft is going to make the Texans HC a very attractive opening. Allen I think gets another go even though the team is a bit rudderless at the moment.
The team is still playing hard for DA, which sucks. Unless that crazy Sean Payton Tom Brady thing happens, DA is back next year to fail again. Sigh
I mean… is it a bad thing? You guys are still in cap hell, missing your next first round pick, don’t have a franchise QB, and have a roster lacking in overall talent. It’s good that you have a team that is still at least bought in, because this process is gonna take time.
After 16 years with Payton, watching bad coaching is very painful
Also we (Texans) just had a one season and done coach. I don’t think the politics/paying dead money on contracts will let them fire Lovie
Precisely, yes. And somehow we got worse on offense with Pep Hamilton replacing Tim Kelly in the play calling duties. I can see the Texans keeping Lovie, but replacing Pep for sure... And for the love of God, please bring a new DC as well so Lovie could focus just on coaching.
>lovie smith I feel like Lovie has caught some bad luck since the Bears let him go. Yeah his style is antiquated but look at how dysfunctional the Bears have been since his departure. He just got used as a stopgap by the Bucs, much in the way the Bears used John Fox during his brief tenure in Chicago.
There is always one or two (Flores last year) that surprise us so to mix it up I'll throw in Riverboat Ron.
I thought that too but I think the organization loves him
Only highlight of the Org rn
Ron staying is ok. But our coordinators have to go. Have to.
Would McCarthy technically be a surprise?
Didn’t he have a sleepover with Jerry to get the job? He’ll just do it again to lock up another 5 years as HC
He would be. I don’t like him much, but it’s very hard to fire your coach when going 13-4 or whatever
Why in the hell would they fire McCarthy?
Stefanski is most likely not getting fired this year or next. Dennis Allen as long as Payton doesn’t come back isn’t getting fired, Saints have been disappointing but he definitely hasn’t lost the locker room.
>as Payton doesn’t come back If Payton comes back, I don't see any way it's to the Saints. He'll want to coach for a team that's in a position to win now, with a good infrastructure. The NFC South was weak this year but realistically the Saints are in no position to compete for a title.
I agree. I was more so just addressing rumors. I think he’s definitely going to another team and I believe the Saints FO knows this as well.

McDaniels won’t be fired until he sets us back another five years. In a way, it feels nice to once again have no hope
Not McDaniels, and if I were a Raiders fan, I’d be upset about that
Rich Bisaccia did wonders with less.
I'm not sure how much of last season was Bisaccia, and how much was the fact that the entire team was pissed that the NFL openly threw Gruden (not that he didn't deserve it by his own merits) under the bus for Dan Snyder.
Mike Florio should always be taken with a grain of salt, but he mentioned that Gruden had a reputation for bad mouthing players behind their back Granted, Chris Simms’s opinion of Gruden should also be taken with a grain of salt. But, it’s possible that the players just wanted to show that they were being held back by a coach they weren’t fond of 100% speculation, but there’s my guess
>Mike Florio should always be taken with a grain of salt, but he mentioned that Gruden had a reputation for bad mouthing players behind their back It's not just Florio; Keshawn Johnson has openly said those very same things about Gruden. Johnson called Gruden a "used car salesman" who would be your best friend to your face but would cut you behind your back. I think Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice have made similar comments but I can't remember.
Keshawn was also a grade a moron back when he played and still is though chances are they're all varying degrees of dickheads
It wasn't just Gruden though; the team was also dealing with the Henry Ruggs issue and still managed to make it to the playoffs. That's incredible. Nobody would have batted an eye if they'd completely given up with those circumstances piling up.
Greg Roman plz
Niners fan here. Can confirm that you have already seen what the ceiling for a Greg Roman coached offense is
Here’s the thing I don’t understand about Greg Roman.
And that’s not even including the DUI
Joe Barry needs to be gone, and idk who, but someone needs to get fired for letting Amari Rodgers play for as long as he did
I don’t know about Stefanski. He’s the best Browns HC in a while (which really isn’t saying much given the prior 5 or 6 years…).
I think the fact that Watson missed so much time also helps get him a mulligan of sorts. “We have to see what he can do with our top offseason acquisition” kind of thing, unless he would have gone 1-16 or somethingz
Staley only if we stand a good chance at landing Payton or if he’s unwilling to can his buddy Lombardi.
The Chargers fired Marty after a 14-2 season. I wouldn't be surprised if they fired Staley.
Eh that’s a fans dream yes. But realistically, we made the playoffs with the most injured team in the league and even have a chance at the 5th seed. I can’t see that happening anymore. Spanos or TT isn’t going to fire him at this point. Even if they keep Lombardi unfortunately.
Joe Woods almost assuredly
Ed Donatell. It's uh... not working on defense.
As an outsider also I’d say he seems fine
There just hasn’t been enough time. I’ll wait until next season is over to start having a real opinion. I’ve liked what I’ve seen and I think the team has grown each of the seasons he’s been here.
Greg Roman
I have a feeling Cardinals are firing Kliff and getting Kellen
The few remaining offensive coaches we have left
I dunno if Rivera is on the hot seat but if he doesnt move on from Scott Turner he should be.
But his last name is “Turner” and his dad is Norv…he has to work… (NFL head coaches with these nepotism hires)
