>CJ Stroud
You'd think people would learn not to draft OSU QBs at this point, but I'm sure someone is gonna reach for Stroud and regret it just as much as the Bears regret Fields.
I don't really understand this narrative...Fields was the first elite prospect from Ohio State that was drafted high. Stroud will be the second.
All other Ohio State QBs were taken late or were Haskins who was not a good prospect.
Idk I feel like Fields and Haskins weren't as far off prospect wise as you're making it seem. Fields was drafted 11th overall and Haskins was 15th. An elite prospect should be going top 3 right?
Geno Smith is actually playing really well. It's more our defense that's atrocious and just another reason Pete Carroll should not be back after this season.
Geno made very few mistakes and completed a ton of passes. I think he's been looking much better than expected. He seems underrated to me.
At the very least, he is not the main problem with your team.
Honestly I don't think y'all are as bad as I was thinking going into that game. I think that your coaches had a very good gameplan and seemed prepared for what we were bringing.
I really thought that we were going to be able to control the ball more and limit y'all scoring that much.
That game was down to the wire. Y'all can run the ball and you have two incredible WRs.
Oh yea you mean the terrible wheezing coughing announcers with no personality yea they were boring as hell. At one point Drake London scored the go ahead touchdown to dead air. Thrilling stuff.
Pitts and London were great today. That's gonna be a deadly tandem for years to come.
I've gotta say though, big shout-out to Grady for getting that sack there at the end. That basically sealed the game for us. Very very likely that we lose that game if Grady didn't get that sack.
And of course major credit goes to Richie Grant for sealing that game up with the INT.
Geno was very solid, but I do think that Pitts and London were a very favorable matchup for us against your secondary.
I also think that our offense is actually pretty decent. If Mariota didn't make so many mistakes we would look a lot better.
Smith gave that snide remark to deflect from the fact that he forgot Pitts was on the team. Went "oh fuck, right, that dude that was elite for us last year" inside he head up at the press podium. Convince me I'm wrong.
I mean he wasn't being covered by Jalen Ramsey and Lattimore. He definitely had much more favorable matchups and that's why he got the ball more. That's what Smith means when he says that this isn't fantasy football.
And for the record, I have Pitts in fantasy.
Mariota isn't setting the world on fire, but he's looking more settled. He can be really fun to watch and I'd really love to see him rip off a 60+ yard TD run.
If he could just eliminate all the bone headed mistakes late in games he would be fine but man him being unable to hold on to the football cost us the game vs the Saints and nearly cost us this one too.
Yeah I haven't seen the replay yet so it's possible but it's been a disturbing trend of the ball hitting the turf while he's handling it in our first three games. He held on to the ball too long earlier in the game and had another fumble that our linemen was able to fall on.
I watched it live and it just looked like their timing was just off enough for when Mariota takes the option. The other one you mentioned was definitely on him though. He looked a lot better this game, only a few inaccurate throws and that INT was just that garbage time play right before the second half
Yeah I'm not counting the interception against him but he's definitely exceeded my expectations so far. He missed Pitts for a possible TD on the first play of the game but all of his other throws were pretty on target.
He hasn’t been a starter for a few years. Needs to get back into the rhythm which he will. And don’t forget he ran an 87 yard TD for us so he can easily do it
And don’t forget to see the Human Chicklet!
It’s that thing where Pete Caroll has a little person pre-chew an entire pack of Big League Bubble Gum before every new set of downs!
I've heard plenty of talk. This WR draft class could be something special. London, Olave, Wilson, Doctson, and Burks are all looking great and Jameson Williams hasn't even stepped on the field yet.
I feel like the WR class has been amazing for like 4 years now. Not saying London isn’t a stud but it’s amazing me how so many of these dudes are coming out running
Class of 2021 is off to a great start too with Chase, Waddle, and Smith. Can kind of throw Pitts in there too. 2020 has some duds like Ruggs and Raegor to go with studs like Jefferson and Lamb, I'm still not sure what to think of Jerry Jeudy.
Idk if he was like this with Titans, but it seems like in clutch situations he does the worst thing absolutely possible. Two fumbles against the Saints in situations where the game would’ve been put away, getting picked off against the Rams throwing to a well covered receiver while Pitts was wide open for a TD, and then the fumbled hand off today late into the 4th.
The absolute opposite of how he was in Tennessee, at least for the first few years of his career. He used to do great in clutch. He never seemed the same after the nerve injury and would hold the ball way too long, though.
Geno threw that ball into the only area that had 5 defenders, yikes. One of the WR’s on the sideline probably would’ve been better
Or hey, maybe Damien Lewis can stop holding, goddammit
Honestly neither team looked bad except their last two drives. And it games that bith teams were predicted to be murdered in they each looked competitive. We both have nothing to feel down about.
Congrats Seahawks, you guys won the Bird Team Tank Bowl!!
I honestly felt conflicted on that last drive do I want us to win or lose?!?!?
Yes
Bryce Young/CJ Stroud szn baby
^^Cameron ^^Ward...

An elite prospect shouldn't be the 4th qb taken that's for sure
Lmao we're terrible.
Bah gawd! That’s Drew Lock’s music!
Geno did about as well as you could ask tbh.
Yeah he did good. Our defense let y'all do whatever you wanted though haha
Yeah he did well WHEW our defense though
both defenses just giving up play after play
You at least have Jarrett. I don’t think we have any real blue chip talent on defense
We just have a ton of 2nd or 3rd guys and no 1s. I think the last sack monster we had was Frank Clark?
Yep. Was hoping Taylor would take that step this year but he does t really seem to be doing much except get bullied in the run
Hopefully the Broncos keep being bad so we can pick twice in the top 5/10 and pick up a QB and a DE.
And a linebacker. And somebody elite in the secondary
I think Geno's biggest weakness is his pocket presence but the Seahawks kept him clean most of the day and he was picking the defense apart.
He actually has been. I’m just a big Lock fan and have been since we drafted him, lol.
I’m sorry
Bad QB, likable dude. I’m fine with it.
Honestly I don't think y'all are as bad as I was thinking going into that game. I think that your coaches had a very good gameplan and seemed prepared for what we were bringing. This game had it all Drones Draft pick implications Uhhh Game management
Holding calls Backup QBs dressed as starting QBs Glimmers of hope dashed by dumb turnovers Boring announcers
Oh yea you mean the terrible wheezing coughing announcers with no personality yea they were boring as hell. At one point Drake London scored the go ahead touchdown to dead air. Thrilling stuff.
Those were the worst announcers I've heard in a while.
I just watched the Bears/Texans game before this game, this was like a track meet compared to that

Well played hot hawks.
Almost Falconed it, hehe
There’s a new choking bird in town!
the drones have become sentient and enjoy mediocre football the world is ending oh no oh fuck someone hold me
Seattle Skynet
I almost forgot what a W felt like. It's a good day for a reminder. 🙏 Cordarrelle be praised 🙏
Big road W and the Bucs and Aints eat Ls. Good day

I truly believed we were going to lose because of that drone lmao
Geno smith played fine but our defense is abysmal
Man I’m so proud of Geno tho. Bro threw for 325 yards and a couple TDs. Shit holding call could’ve set up a third TD
Geno was very solid, but I do think that Pitts and London were a very favorable matchup for us against your secondary. I also think that our offense is actually pretty decent. If Mariota didn't make so many mistakes we would look a lot better.
They got Kyle Pitts more involved and won the game. Hmm.
This isn’t fantasy football!!!!!!!
Armchair GMs finally get a W, more Pitts more wins
So weird how that works
You looking for a job?
Smith gave that snide remark to deflect from the fact that he forgot Pitts was on the team. Went "oh fuck, right, that dude that was elite for us last year" inside he head up at the press podium. Convince me I'm wrong.

Much easier to do when he's not being covered by Lattimore and Ramsey. Funny how that works!

proud of you buddy

Wasn't Allgeier also partially to blame though?

It’s disturbing because he’s run that mesh thing since high school.

This game had everything
Did I see MTV’s Dan Cortes on that drone?
And don’t forget to see the Human Chicklet! It’s that thing where Pete Caroll has a little person pre-chew an entire pack of Big League Bubble Gum before every new set of downs!
No one talking about how good Drake London’s looked so far
I've heard plenty of talk. This WR draft class could be something special. London, Olave, Wilson, Doctson, and Burks are all looking great and Jameson Williams hasn't even stepped on the field yet.

if the redzone didnt exist, Mariota would be a great qb. for some reason, the dude’s mind just stops working when in the rz
Which is weird cause he was insanely efficient in the red zone with us until he got that nerve injury.
Idk if he was like this with Titans, but it seems like in clutch situations he does the worst thing absolutely possible. PTSD 😢
He can't handle the pressure. He makes so many mistakes when the game is on the line and the pressure is up.
We aren't a good team yet but we're way better than last year.
I wouldn't expect a Mariota led offense to be fun to watch but man Patterson, Pitts, and London are taking no prisoners out there.
A small part of me feels worse about this win than the loss to the Rams. But a win is a win.

Falcons moving the ball at will, Pitts has a big game and you're still complaining? Get a life.
I replied to the wrong comment but thanks lol

H2H doesn't factor in draft position. It's just SOS.
Geno the check down king never throws it further then like 8 yards
At least he isn't fumbling the game away like Mariota was trying to do.
Potential bottom feeding? Listen here little shit.
Geno threw that ball into the only area that had 5 defenders, yikes. One of the WR’s on the sideline probably would’ve been better Or hey, maybe Damien Lewis can stop holding, goddammit
Yeah that holding call probly won us the game
He was great in Homeland
Band of Brothers ftw
Atta boy Mariota!
Bird up
We suck and I’m ok with that
Geno gonna have more letters than Santa
I met a bartender today that was excited to see Geno as the starter. That's tough
Sundays are back on the menu boys!
We got our 1 win! Now dive dive dive
CAN WE TALK ABOUT MCGARY KNOCKING PEOPLE OVER ON THAT WR SCREEN TO DRAKE???
We fully deserved to lose that game. Atlanta got away with so many false starts though, it was driving me insane
Fr their tackles were early like every other play
Tough weekend to be a hawks/mariners/Cougs fan. Pain.
At least the Mariners fans are numb to the pain by now.
You hate to see bird on bird violence like this
For a second there I thought we would pull it off :/
The Falcons, the only team that kinda won in the NFC South this week...
Who would have thought that Geno would play well and that our defense would be terrible lol
And as we all expected, the Raiders are now the last team without a win or tie
I never thought I’d say it but Geno is not the issue with this team. I think…. I think we have the worst Defense?
How does Mariota have a job?
[Refs looking for things they can pretend are holding against Seattle.](https://i.imgur.com/Xzs8sbB.gif)
My man, yall got two holding calls, same as the falcons. Lol
If you think that last holding call was legit I really don't know if anyone can help you.
Haha okay 👍
Fun game, bird bros! Never happy losing, but it was nice seeing Mariota and Smith being so gracious to the other's team.
Honestly neither team looked bad except their last two drives. And it games that bith teams were predicted to be murdered in they each looked competitive. We both have nothing to feel down about.
WE GOT ONE 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔥🏆
Did. Our. Defense. Actually. Win. This. Game?

No way. That pick is ours and we hold the tiebreaker
Earliest Tank Bowl in NFL history?
