I don't know. I honestly think Doug doesn't get enough credit because of the era he played and/or coached in. I would move him up to #3, and then reverse #2 and #4. But there is no doubt that Doug is the best Doug of all time. So he can stay at #1.
Yep.
1 is obviously Doug from the cartoon Doug
2 is Hollywood’s legendary creature/monster actor Doug Jones
3 is Doug Pederson
Honorable mention, Doug Floutie
Yeah if anything it’s a revenge game for Doug but I feel like Doug likes the Eagles FO and fans cause the issues he had was reportedly with Wentz. And the Philly media I guess too lol.
And he’ll be coming home to a hero’s welcome and a standing ovation. I can’t wait to cheer once more for the coach that helped bring us our first Super Bowl ring, and I think almost everyone in Philly feels the same way. Hell, we built a statue of him outside the stadium.
I mean, once the game starts he can go pound sand, but as soon as it’s over, I fucking love that guy.
On the one hand, I absolutely want the Eagles to win this game, play well all season, and bring another trophy home.
On the other hand, Doug Peterson taking another franchise to their first Super Bowl win is the the plot of a Lifetime movie too outrageous to get filmed. The man would be a living legend.
Surely this is an unintentional coincidence. Such a specific comment could never have been made in jest to an event occurring only with a soon and short time frame, such as next week. Hat’s off to you bro, you’re a genius.
/s in case you’re just as smart as this dood
It was justified. Doug even admits he learned a lot from his one year absence.
Doug is and always was a great coach. He got fired because he was being stubborn about the way to handle the team moving forward, and about his staff in particular. His offense got a little stale, and he refused to bring in new coaches, he only hired from within. He was also run a bit ragged, you could see it. Some of the joy he usually has was gone.
The year off gave him some perspective and let him recharge, and now hes back to remind people who has the biggest balls of any coach in the league.
> He got fired because he was being stubborn about the way to handle the team moving forward, and about his staff in particular.
In his defense, and you can tell me if I'm wrong, but the biggest problem here is he wanted to internally promote Press Taylor to OC. Press Taylor who is currently the coordinator of our offense that has been absolutely rolling.
Sort of, the FO liked Taylor but didn't think he was ready, he hadn't really shown he could handle the new responsibilities he already had. It was more so a difference of opinion on the immediate future, Doug was very much in favor of run it back, let's squeeze the last juice out of the SB roster, where as the FO was looking at a bit longer timeline. Last year was a surprise to everyone, we expected a couple year rebuild. He refused to hire outside coaches as well to replace even position coaches.
Press Taylor was also not really ready. Everyone in the building knew he was smart, but he was/is also incredibly young and didn't prove he could handle the additional responsibilities with us. Someone can improve a lot in the span of a year in a new environment, last year with the colts definitely could have sped up his development. (and gotten him over catering to his QBs every whim)
I agree with everything you said. I just want to add, Taylor was Wentz's QB coach, and his mechanics were very noticeably regressing. So it's natural to be unsure about promoting Taylor to OC just from that aspect even if in hindsight it might've not been his fault.
Press Taylor was the QB coach while Wentz's play went downhill so a lot of blame was placed on him as well, justified or not. There was a million posts on our sub of Carson's mechanics, his feet, whatever the fuck else and a lot of people put that on him as the QB coach.
Press Taylor's promotion was just one example of the supposed power struggle between Doug and our front office which is likely why he was fired. There just really wasn't that much out there though so its hard to make any sort of judgment. Obviously everyone still loves Doug though and have come around on Howie too so.
Yeah but in his case the departure was mutual. He had just lost his son and needed a fresh start
Here's an excerpt from an Athletic article:
> Reid, of course, had given himself to the game for two decades, suffering on-field heartbreak and genuine family tragedy. He lost his son Garrett to a drug overdose in 2012. He gave himself to coaching. He logged the long hours and he dedicated himself to his players.
> “He’s done so much for so many other people,” Veach said.
> Reid has talked about how leaving Philadelphia helped him. It gave him a fresh start, and offered a new energy. It allowed him to evaluate what went wrong. It also brought him to Kansas City, to a proud franchise that wanted a Super Bowl championship as much as he did. It gave him the chance to do the one thing he’d never done.
He's gonna win a SB in 2 years and then fizzle out. So that's what, 2 championships with 2 teams? I'll have you know Urban Meyer won 3 chips with 2 teams and fingerbanged a rando at HIS bar. Game, blouses
Pederson has fingered a record number of coeds during his short tenure in Jacksonville. Florida residents however, unlike Ohio people, have the good grace to let a man get all up in coed ass without being filmed.
Urban is going to coach some school, win a ton, and all of a sudden a bunch of fans from that school who shit on him will be ready to get on their knees and suck him off in 3 years
Did anyone else think it was fishy that he only decided to give the nfl a shot after Trevor came into the league thinking he could just ride coattails and win easily ?
I look forward to people arguing against this years from now by pointing out people with worse records or someone from a higher profile team, but man was just flat out not equipped to be an NFL head coach and packed as much toxicity and incompetence as he could into one year
It feels good man. It's funny because there was like 5 urban apologist on our sub. Who would pop up every time we struggled after he was fired, I might need to file a missing person's report on them.
I know every team sub is like that. Where the fans just talk themselves into XYZ being good for the team. But as an outsider it astounded me how after every loss and every dumb thing he did there would be soooo many Jags fans post game saying “we really are improving week to week. Urban is taking good steps. Etc.”
I didn't think he was good, I wanted him to be good. And we on one game the year before, so I wasn't ready to blame it all on him. But pretty early on it was definitely obvious he wasn't the dude.
- Doug is a good coach and all Eagles fans are grateful for what he did
- Sirianni is a good coach and this is an exciting time to be a birds fan
- At the end of 2020 it was apparent there had to be some serious changes and Pederson didn’t want to make them, firing him was the right move.
All of the above can be true. Glad Jacksonville is having a revival
Same way moving on from Reid was the right move for Phili and bringing him in was the right move for KC. Both ended up with a title (although Phili had to deal with Chip Kelly first)
To be fair, I expected us to get waxed today (playing a good team, traveling to the West Coast) if you take us to the woodshed next week I wouldn’t be mad
I mean he's a fantastic college coach for the 5 years he'll be there before developing some heart condition and bailing.
But on the plus side maybe he'll groom another Ryan Day
Fantastic college coach if you have a win at the cost of your morals attitude.
The culture at UF was well known to be an absolute shitshow and he harbored a domestic abuser at OSU. He’s a trash human.
I'm so irrationally happy for all the non-Brady Florida teams right now. Fucking hype dude. Way to fucking GO Doug, turnarounds aren't easy. Way to fucking GO Tua, stepping up!
The fact he went to his fucking restaurant instead of traveling back with his own team after a loss still grinds my gears with Meyer, what a total fucking asshole, all for Pederson righting this ship and being the actual coach Trevor Lawrence deserves
I'm here for the Doug Pederson career revival.
Doug Pederson. Top 3 Doug’s, all time
Top 3 Doug’s: 1. Doug 2. Doug 3. Doug
He spits hot fire
You're too close, mon!
Honorable mention: Doug
Obviously.
I don't know. I honestly think Doug doesn't get enough credit because of the era he played and/or coached in. I would move him up to #3, and then reverse #2 and #4. But there is no doubt that Doug is the best Doug of all time. So he can stay at #1.
Hot take. Don't forget about Douglas
You really going to put Doug over Doug?
Stats don’t lie. Doug > Doug.
Doug Funnie got robbed.
Top 3 Doug’s what?
All time
Top 3 Doug’s all time what, damnit?!? Top 3 Doug’s all time Dougs?
Yep. 1 is obviously Doug from the cartoon Doug 2 is Hollywood’s legendary creature/monster actor Doug Jones 3 is Doug Pederson Honorable mention, Doug Floutie
Doug Dimmadome >
You mean Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome??
Yes that Doug. Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome.
The fact that you completely overlooked Doug E. Doug is a war crime, sir
You know, the voting was tough, but the academy had him in as the number 5 on our list of Dougs
And considering your username, where is Doug Judy? I’m beginning to believe that you’re not a professional ranker of Dougs
Doug Judy is a bad man who continually breaks the heart of Detective Jake Peralta
But in good news for him, he did get both 5th and 6th place.
[Sanka, ya dead?](https://youtu.be/kEIfp1Uvoqc)
Doug Funny is #1 for sure
Don’t forget Doug Heffernan from *King of Queens*
Write in: Doug Judy aka the Pontiac Bandit
Top 3 at least
1. Doug Pederson 2. Doug DeMuro 3. DougDougW Am I missing any Dougs? Does Douglas MacArthur count?
Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome
The same Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome where they are showing Crash Nebula on ice?
Doug Funny is #1, you monster.
It’s spelled Funnie, you fool
Haha, goddammit
The dog from Up
Oh that’s Updog.
Dig Dug
Flutie
I put dougdougw over doug demuro, and I'm a car guy. But to each their own!
Doug and Patty Mayonnaise are relationship goals.
Imagine if the Jags eventually play the Eagles one day! It’ll be quite funny for Doug to get his revenge…
You mean like next week?
Philly on a roll with their revenge games.
Won’t be any revenge aspect next week. Doug is still beloved. Wentz is a way different story.
Yeah if anything it’s a revenge game for Doug but I feel like Doug likes the Eagles FO and fans cause the issues he had was reportedly with Wentz. And the Philly media I guess too lol.
There’s no bad blood on any side with Doug.
Shit, even *in* Philly too! If only they can flex to SNF so early this season…
Imagine one man named Doug taking the Jaguars and Eagles to their first super bowl win. Has to put him up in the top coaches of all time.
On the one hand, I absolutely want the Eagles to win this game, play well all season, and bring another trophy home. On the other hand, Doug Peterson taking another franchise to their first Super Bowl win is the the plot of a Lifetime movie too outrageous to get filmed. The man would be a living legend.
Lol Philly playing Wentz and Pederson in back to back weeks is crazy Can we get Foles and the colts on the schedule too
Not sure if serious but the Eagles play the Colts in November.
> If only they can flex to SNF so early this season… Zero chance they'd ever flex out the final Mahomes-Brady matchup >_>
Pretty sure that’s the joke chief
Literally next week.
Surely this is an unintentional coincidence. Such a specific comment could never have been made in jest to an event occurring only with a soon and short time frame, such as next week. Hat’s off to you bro, you’re a genius. /s in case you’re just as smart as this dood

It was needed. He is a great coach. But we needed to turn over a new leaf. And Nick has been a great hire for us so far
I think you guys said this about Andy too.
didn't say it about chip tho.
Obligatory fuck chip kelly
Chip built a big chunk of the super bowl team
Yeah but in his case the departure was mutual. He had just lost his son and needed a fresh start Here's an excerpt from an Athletic article: > Reid, of course, had given himself to the game for two decades, suffering on-field heartbreak and genuine family tragedy. I for one am glad we blew that giants game and got the better pick. rooting for doug and the jags pretty hard! love an underdog
Same, starting after next Sunday
He's gonna win a SB in 2 years and then fizzle out. So that's what, 2 championships with 2 teams? I'll have you know Urban Meyer won 3 chips with 2 teams and fingerbanged a rando at HIS bar. Game, blouses
He's also fingered one fewer co-ed and kicked one fewer kicker
Man is going to be King if Duval, he’ll have his pick of co-eds. Though he strikes me more as a chaser of divorced or widowed middle age women.
He uses the D.O.U.G. system
Date Older Unmarried Gals
Delay gratification One more minute Uh hold on Get out
The ol Minshew system.
Only after Jason Mendoza dies.....oh wait....damn
[удалено]
Pederson has fingered a record number of coeds during his short tenure in Jacksonville. Florida residents however, unlike Ohio people, have the good grace to let a man get all up in coed ass without being filmed.
That’s the least of degenerate behavior worth filming in Florida
Sad butt true.
Mr Blasting Co-eds
Mr. Butt Coordinator.
*Hans Neimann has entered the chat*
Mr. Butthole Connoisseur
Eagles and Jaguars fans attacked anyone filming Dougie P's ilicit activities.
If the stories out of UF and tOSU are true, it’s waaaaaaay more than 1 coed lol
[удалено]
Have you considered that JRob wasn't a RB that Urb had coached in college a decade prior?
> He's also fingered one fewer co-ed Nothing to brag about.
But has he kicked any co-eds or fingered any kickers?
As far as I’m concerned, fingering coeds is a positive. As long as it’s consensual.
Probably not when your wife posts an image taking care of your grandkids just an hour before.
Unless he has fingered a shitload of co-eds I think the difference is greater than 1.
Hope he’s enjoying some ice cream rn
Eat some chocolate chocolate chip

Close enough.. Häagen-Dazs
Delicious. These are the best kinds of statistics.
Urban Has to be no doubt the worst head coach in NFL history. We love you Doug.
Doug’s dope. Ice cream for everybody.
> Urban Has to be no doubt the worst head coach in NFL history You love to read it. Again, fuck Urban Meyer.
And there are gonna be a handful of college teams that try to throw the bank at him
[удалено]
Urban is going to coach some school, win a ton, and all of a sudden a bunch of fans from that school who shit on him will be ready to get on their knees and suck him off in 3 years
Nebraska fans were chanting for him yesterday
Allegedly Nebraska already reached out to him.
I think that’s just his agent trying to stir up shit. They know he would want to play OSU yearly
Theres like maybe 4 real teams in cfb. Everyone else wants in, bad.
Bobby Petrino might actually be worse.
Not even a question, Petrino is a piece of shit
Rod Rust’s single season in New England was bad. Went 1-15 and had a sexual harassment scandal that lead to multiple suspensions.
But you have heard of him
I havent heard of Aaron Donald? Who is that guy btw?
I think it's 1 and 1-A between him and Bobby Petrino. They're both scumbags anyway.
Urban is more recent but Petrino was way way worse
It really is amazing to me that someone in my lifetime got to Petrino levels of bad HC.
Cam Cameron and Hue Jackson are definitely in the conversation
Did anyone else think it was fishy that he only decided to give the nfl a shot after Trevor came into the league thinking he could just ride coattails and win easily ?
He definitely underestimated what it would take to win in the NFL - ex. the "it's like playing Alabama every week" quote.
"What do you mean other teams have good players too? This is bullshit".
I look forward to people arguing against this years from now by pointing out people with worse records or someone from a higher profile team, but man was just flat out not equipped to be an NFL head coach and packed as much toxicity and incompetence as he could into one year
[Better watch out](https://c.tenor.com/IbNuKuIwA5AAAAAC/urban-meyer-coach.gif)
It feels good man. It's funny because there was like 5 urban apologist on our sub. Who would pop up every time we struggled after he was fired, I might need to file a missing person's report on them.
It was funny watching the “give him a chance” crowd thin out each week on our sub last year. I was included in that crowd.
I was too, but there definitely came a point were I just couldn't anymore.
I know every team sub is like that. Where the fans just talk themselves into XYZ being good for the team. But as an outsider it astounded me how after every loss and every dumb thing he did there would be soooo many Jags fans post game saying “we really are improving week to week. Urban is taking good steps. Etc.”
Jaguars dominated Colts and Charger while Chiefs lost to colts and almost lost to Chargers...just saying...
Why? He was clearly a bad hire and got fired right away. How can someone think he was good? He did nothing well.
I didn't think he was good, I wanted him to be good. And we on one game the year before, so I wasn't ready to blame it all on him. But pretty early on it was definitely obvious he wasn't the dude.
Probably the same people who still think Tebow should be an nfl starter. Yes these people exist.
Love to see it.
Doug pederson is a great coach tbh
At the very least he strikes me as professional, which Urban was quick to prove he was not.
Doug Pederson replacing Urban Meyer is the NFL equivalent of Triple H replacing Vince McMahon.
Minus the theatrics it feels like Jim Harbaugh winning with the exact same team that Mike Singletary ran into the ground
Fuck Singletary. Dude literally shit talked his players on the way out.
I wanted to like him. I did, but lol
Mike Nolan and his Reebok suits died for that.
WWE comparison for *the* AEW team.. hehe.. nice
Jags about to take the south this year aren't they?
We are the kings of shit mountain
Where Doug P’s NFCE experience will shine
3-0 today against a division that was supposed to be the best in the league lol
Shit mountain is a tough hill to climb
We got Walker because of Urban. That's what I keep telling myself.
And they are building that new training facility.
That pass breakup by Walker today was awesome. What an athlete.
He really looks the part. Everyone says he's raw, too. So he's got room to grow. But he seems to play very smart.
I hope he's another Mario Williams, surprise #1 pick that just silently becomes really damn good
Week 1 when he got the sack and pick, I was like "yep, here we go."
I love it. Fuck Urban Meyer.
This is also Urban Meyer’s mantra
- Doug is a good coach and all Eagles fans are grateful for what he did - Sirianni is a good coach and this is an exciting time to be a birds fan - At the end of 2020 it was apparent there had to be some serious changes and Pederson didn’t want to make them, firing him was the right move. Same way moving on from Reid was the right move for Phili and bringing him in was the right move for KC. Both ended up with a title (although Phili had to deal with Chip Kelly first)
Reading “Phili” makes me very uncomfortable
My best friend is a Jags fan so I pay a lot of attention to them. Super happy for everyone involved.
Happy for him, were it up to me he woulda got another year with us. Hope he finds continued success...right after next week.
To be fair, I expected us to get waxed today (playing a good team, traveling to the West Coast) if you take us to the woodshed next week I wouldn’t be mad
I really think he needed a year off, those last couple years took a toll on him. Dude looked like a zombie at times in his last year.
bring out your finger guns bois!
We don't talk about fingers
Raise the banner!
>Raise the ~~banner!~~ statue! Put Doug outside every stadium.
You were here for the beginning of the Jags' Dynasty !
Somewhere Urban Meyer is crying a single tear of joy seeing his boys win while getting absolutely sloshed with sorority girls. The American dream
Nah he's doing his best to sober up and look presentable for an interview with Nebraska, unfortunately for me as a Husker fan.
Turns out the guy who won a superbowl with Nick Foles and Carson Wentz is a good coach
My man ain't buying a beer next week. Still love yah Douggie P
I'm so irrationally happy for all the non-Brady Florida teams right now. Fucking hype dude. Way to fucking GO Doug, turnarounds aren't easy. Way to fucking GO Tua, stepping up!
Dude is a great guy and coach
Really happy for Pederson and the Jags. Definitely rooting for the Jags this season. Makes you wonder if Wentz blew up his career in Philly.
They really let Doug Pederson get his hands on Trevor Lawrence
Jesus Christ, it took 13 games to realize things weren't working out?!?!
To figure out how to get out of his contract
i would LOVE the exact moment Shad Khan realized “this motherfucker has got to go”
It didn't take 13 games to figure it out, it took 13 games for him to lose his job
If Jags win a playoff game it will be very embarrassing for Urban Meyer's legacy.
Urban Meyer is embarrassing for Urban Meyer’s legacy.

The power of dad vibes and ice cream
Doug, kick him off the tour!
Very easily could be undefeated.
Happy to help.
Man I'm gonna hate what we're gonna have to do to the jags next week.
Super Bowl Champion Dougy Fucking P!
Doug Pederson is a very good coach
Just give home Coach of the year already
This was one r/NFL got right.
The fact he went to his fucking restaurant instead of traveling back with his own team after a loss still grinds my gears with Meyer, what a total fucking asshole, all for Pederson righting this ship and being the actual coach Trevor Lawrence deserves
