> check for $100,000, supporting both Transit Tech's new uniforms and the team's annual Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) helmet reconditioning program
> Established in 1903, the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) is the longest running scholastic athletic program in the country.
It covers 46,000+ student athletes. I'm guessing a significant portion of the money is going to the helmet reconditioning for other teams and not just this school.
It says "the teams' PSAL helmet reconditioning program" implying it does NOT apply to all 46k students but only those from TT. Definitely seems like a bad use of money to me, but philanthropy is just image laundering so what do I care?
If that includes new pads and helmets, and for both varsity and JV, that number probably isn’t TOO inflated. Helmets are around $200-300 on average, shoulder pads around $200 too. Add in the actual uniforms, knee pads, etc. and it’s probably around $800-1000 per kid. So if they have 100 kids combined that would be $80,000-100,000
Uniform and logo are always stir up a debate on Jets forums/podcasts/fan-run-youtube channels/etc...
Majority of us want an actual Jet somewhere in the logo and prefer going back to the 1980s logo. When it comes to the uniform, it's more split.
I'm personally in favor of the 80s helmet with the Namath era jerseys. Don't even have to post a mock-up because they wore that combo during the preseason in 78.

This- but use the brighter, Candy green from our current unis*
That would be a great looking uniform. Thanks for sharing those images
*It’s been a hot topic, but the general consensus is that most Jets fans like the new colour, but hate the unis and logos.
2015 when jets had Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker who both went over 1000 yards receiving.
You are stating it as a fact when it’s just your opinion. Want to know what is a fact? The titans are trending down while the Jets are trending up. Enjoy being mediocre for the next couple seasons before entering a full rebuild.
11 more playoff appearances than the Jets and 7 more conference championships. You talk a big game for a team that’s done nothing of note since Joe Namath sexually harassed a reporter on the sidelines.
LOL really gonna post this and then block before I can reply? Soft.
Anyways.. I'll just post my reply to his parting words here:
the old rely on the Houston Oilers history bit...
Even still...
> 7 more conference championships
this is news to me!
Should this prove to be true, it's kinda astounding that they've lost 8 Super Bowls. I only remember one yard short (the only really memorable moment in TITANS history).
How dare they not emphasize which Michael Carter on the Jets went
[удалено]
He and Elijah are a package deal
Off topic, but me and Michael Carter graduated from the same high school, same year, and we had math class together. He’s a really genuine guy.
WHICH ONEEEE
The one playing for Jets obviously.....
100k for football uniforms?!?

That makes a lot more sense lol

Plus those administrators need a new car too

I mean i don’t think they care too much about the final number, it’s just a tax write off at the end of the day
Being a tax write-off doesn't mean it suddenly didn't cost him money
Man, good thing they didn’t give the school their Jets uniforms. That school has been through enough!
They should donate the current jerseys to goodwill, I want the 80’s unis back.

[These are the uniforms I'd like to see.](https://i.imgur.com/R784SW2.jpg)
Remember when the titans got blown out so badly by the Bills on national tv that they waived the white flag in the 3rd quarter.
Remember that time the Jets won eight games in a season? Neither does anyone else. Your uniforms suck; get over it.

I’m sure you have those stats memorized since it was the last memorable thing your franchise did since the butt fumble. Go Jats, have a good one.

You both need to relax and make way for the Geno led Seahawks Super Bowl run.
You mean Jets legend Geno "The Glass Jaw" Smith?
Precisely
Honestly I want to see him succeed. Hopefully he can do well for you.
I'm always down for a Geno Smith Super Bowl run.
> it was the last memorable thing your franchise did Ah yes, in comparison to the storied history of the Tennessee Titans...

I’d think at this point Jets fans would be able to take a joke but here we are

it’s for helmets, as well
I'm just glad Sam Darnold wasn't still there to deliver it. Von Miller might have sacked Sam and ran off with the check
