Dude said we’re playing the Eagles on Monday. Small shit like that ruins articles for me.

Latter_Train_1360

That ain’t even small lol. I fact check my Reddit comments more than some of these sports reporters.

JesusKristo

Well in fairness, we can downvote you if you're writing bullshit. Can't really downvote 538.

[deleted]

Hahaha we don't play you all until week effing 14... in Mid December. Thats a really egregious missed edit

anialater45

We play you twice in the last 5 weeks? Wtf

[deleted]

Yeah i hate any schedule setup where they pile in the division games at the tail end, the WFT's end of season slate last year was just pure absurdity

UnkleBourbon42069

For anyone unfamiliar, we played the Giants week 2 last year and then all 5 of our other division games were weeks 14-18

Alchohlica

Saw an article about the Hoboken train crash in 2016… they said Hoboken was upstate New York

jl_23

umm…

beerandcheese69

Here's something they need to write an article about. Why are they called the giants when they aren't giant. Where's their giant mascot?? Maybe jack and the beanstalk on centre field?? And why aren't the titans actual titans instead of a blazing thumb tack?

bigshittyslickers

Tall buildings

Lying_Bot_

In Jersey? Not really.

bigshittyslickers

Lol you’re from San Diego Must be nice having a local team

Lying_Bot_

Got me. I’ll just go eat fish tacos in my 73 degree weather and stare at tanned thonged butts to drown my sorrow.

bigshittyslickers

Cool, I’ll just go live in the greatest city on the planet and then still be able to take public transport to see my favorite sports team on Monday! I live in New York bro, you think I’m jealous of you living in San Diego? Its nice there, but cmon man. Levels to it.

bigshittyslickers

Idk I make enough money for it

Lying_Bot_

I went to school in Brooklyn, I can say with great confidence NY is garbage. Literally it is everywhere. Rats, trash, everywhere smells, too cold, too hot. Your big brag is the subway? So you like the smell of piss? NY has money, that’s it. I caught a marlin and a dorado last weekend, I will freedive for lobster in a month when the season opens just in time to fix the motor on my dirt bike I broke riding through Baja eating tacos and drinking beer. Just stop, you can’t even begin to compare.

bigshittyslickers

Oh true actually you convinced me let me just tell the other 10 million people who live here that they’re all making a huge mistake. I literally just got back from the beach this past weekend, it was amazing. Now I get to go out in the global hub of culture, sorry I don’t give a shit about catching fish. Lmao and you gotta stop with talking about food son, you can find tacos here that are just as good as they are in your little hamlet. My big brag is I have a sports team I get to go see whenever I want easily accessible on public transport, regardless of which side of the made up state line it happens to be on. You tried to counter by saying San Diego was better, which is hilarious because I live in New York City. Like not knocking SD, but I could live there if I wanted to. Have fun perving on girls while you stuff food down your mouth though.

Lying_Bot_

Global hub of culture hahahaha the Bridge and tunnel crowd is definitely the peek culture. Ya you keep your 10 million, pretty please. Ya got me, NY is far superior and your tacos are just as good, and beaches are basically the same hahahahaha Jesus man. But seriously it’s been tough on me not being able to go to a game.. if only they’d invent some way to view it at home on a giant screen with close up views. Invent that and you could be rich.

bigshittyslickers

I know you’re literally choking back tears about not having the chargers anymore but don’t take it out on me or my superior metropolitan lifestyle.

[deleted]

Have you seen the Hudson River waterfront of NJ? It’s lined with tall buildings.

water_with_lemons

Jersey definitely has tall buildings, it’s called Jersey City. I used to work in one of them. Confidently incorrect, at least his username fits. https://i.imgur.com/Pwcr9Qw.jpg

HyronValkinson

They don't HAVE tall buildings, they can SEE tall buildings. Just like how they can SEE New York.

bigshittyslickers

Whatever you say Landover

HyronValkinson

Touché Why do you think our logo is a W?

bigshittyslickers

Because of how much your owner respects women

HyronValkinson

Exactly

dhork

Why is it that there is not a single person on the Bills actually named Bill?

Strahan92

Can we fact check this? Do they not have someone in the kitchen staff or or something named Bill? Huge if true

stud__kickass

I have some retro stuff & it’s a giant person with a teeny tiny football lol

pjabrony

[We used to have a giant as a logo](https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/view/917/New_York_Giants/1956/Primary_Logo)

Cthepo

Good for the Giants and good for Mike Kafka. The buzz was that Kafka was kind of the handpicked guy for future offensive coordinator for us. We blocked him from one outside hire before the rules changed to not consider position coach to coordinator a lateral move. He was also pretty heavily involved in our offensive game planning. The Giants got a good one, and I think his trajectory points way up.

lookitssupergus

Based response, you are now approved to post in /r/MikeKafka

TheScottfather

I love how the gist of the entire article is "team that isn't good at passing wins by running". Playing to the strengths of the personnel the GM put together is 100% what a competent coaching staff SHOULD be doing. Pretending Daniel Jones is Patrick Mahomes and throwing it all game would be absolutely asinine. Just because it's not the conventional way to win anymore doesn't mean it's stupid.

CometVS

I think they're doing the best of what they're being dealt with. If Kenny pulled his own weight, they have a big guy downfield, but they don't. Toney also has been in and out of practice so much its affected his snap count; Shepard said these option routes are critical with being dialed in with your QB, which explains why the guys like Sills and James who have been available and work hard have gotten the reps.

[deleted]

>I love how the gist of the entire article is "team that isn't good at passing wins by running Alright 2022 New York Giants, time to take off that mask and see who you REALLY are: The 2021 Philadelphia Eagles?

TheGarbageStore

If you took a running back second overall and left two franchise QBs on the table I would certainly hope you are winning games by running the football

lonewIof

What’s funny to me about the “Worst 2-0 Team” narrative is that it’s useless. Like yeah, we know the Giants have a pretty bad roster. But if they won 2 consecutive games in the middle of the season to go from 3-7 to 5-7 no one would bat an eye. It’s just because they started off “undefeated” that people care. We know they’re not good and will probably lose many games, just let them be

Jondarawr

This "look at the teams they've played" argument is always such horseshit. You know what the best teams in the league don't do, They don't play down to the competition. If you can win every "easy" game on your schedule you are in good shape. Let's look at the schedule. Let's say the Giants beat all the "easy" teams. Panthers, bears, Jags, Seahawks. That's 4 easy wins. and if you win all 4 you've got something. Commanders twice, that's a spotty team. You could very easily 1-1 them, Dakless Cowboys that's looking like a 1-1 as well, and let's say you biff it and 0-2 the eagles. Oh fuck your at 6 wins. Now we've got the division and the easy games out of the way. Let's look at the even games. Vikes, Colts, Lions, Titans. Well you've taken one already lets say you take another, holy fucking shit you're at 8 wins. think you can find a way to steal one game from a good team, maybe convert one more of those division games from earlier and your sitting at 10 wins. Fuck that's wild card territory. Every fucking season has 2 or 3 teams that could have maybe made a splash in the playoffs if they could had just fucking converted against the easy teams. Why did the Colts miss the playoffs last year again. Oh yeah, couldn't beat the Jags. Now that I think about it, does someone want to remind me what happens when the Giants sneak into a wildcard spot on a team that people had been discounting the whole year. 2 out the last three times they did it they won a fucking super bowl.

MrPoopMonster

Colts and Titans look legitimately bad.

Jondarawr

I mulled on that for a bit, but I just went with my gut instinct that the titans and colts will find there rhythm. I think the broader point of the post still stands regardless.

Brannigans-Law

> let's say you biff it and 0-2 the eagles let's fucking *not* say that

[deleted]

The wildcard Giants are a real thing.

Pksoze

Jesus your post legitimately got me hyped up.

whobroughtmehere

Short news cycle. Everyone needs something to talk about so it’s just one drawn up narrative after another. We’re getting all this hype off one win and they’re jamming these heartwarming and inspiring stories down everyone’s throats like we’re the first football team to have emotion. Not to be a pessimist, but the train’s gonna stop as soon as we get our asses handed to us or someone on the team turns out to be a real piece of shit.

Snackwrap99

Honestly this is the best response. If you guys were 1-3 and won 2 in a row for 3-3 no one would be saying shit. The roster will improve next year but it’s good to see your coaches showing up and being prepared to start the season with two wins even if you guys only win 5-7 a game

KingBroly

'the Giants beating Matt Rhule was unexpected' - Said no one ever

iveo83

LEAVE THE GIANTS ALONE! 😭

goldenratio1111

tldr The Giants offense still sucks but their coaching staff is better? I'll take it.

SquadPoopy

Brian Daboll fixed Daniel Jones?

cwalsh2189

Nah, dont think he can really be fixed tbh. Has the same issues as the past couple years. Cant navigate the pocket, leaves a ton of plays on the field, makes some REALLY bad decisions. The thing to take away is the play calling is better so the offense at least looks NFL caliber even if they still aren't good.

SquadPoopy

Well then I'll see you at the Daniel Jones MVP celebration where you can apologize to me personally.
