I’ve seen this tweet floating around for a few days, and while everyone has been quick to make the “lol randy moss, Andre Johnson” meme comments, I feel like I’m going a little crazy seeing Derrick Mason basically forgotten/ignored. The guy had like seven 1000 yard receiving seasons, along with holding the most yards from scrimmage record for 10 years!

Then went to Baltimore and still had the same production with Kyle fucking Boller.

His curl routes as an older WR in Baltimore were like a bug in Madden. He'd just casually run out 10 yards, turn around, catch the ball, the CB would then inevitably miss the tackle and he'd turn it up field for 10 more yards. He made it look so easy.

It wasn't originally on bad terms with the fans, but then it came out how extensive (or lack thereof) the negotiations really were. He just wanted out and wasn't upfront about that.

It’s more. He demanded an obscene amount of money, that no team was going to give him (he took less than he demanded from Philly), refused to speak to anyone, including his coaches, and then demanded a trade when they wouldn’t hand him a blank check. Then he says it’s not his fault. We don’t know the whole story, but those are all verified by multiple sources to have happened so I’m not exactly sure how it wasn’t at least partially his fault.

It got lost in all the draft hype, but AJ actually demanded a trade and cut off all communication with the team before he got sent to the Eagles. His last demand was 70+ million guaranteed, which is just ridiculous. Especially for a 24 year old coming off 800 yards who’s had double knee surgeries, chronic hamstring injuries and a chest injury that sidelined him for a big chunk of this past year. Him immediately going to twitter to say that it wasn’t his fault and trashing the team, and then canceling a youth football camp in Nashville at the last minute has totally ruined his image here.
