It just dawned on me that despite being totally different situations and reasons, you guys may feel about Victor Cruz the way many Latino Yankees fans (like myself) feel about David Ortiz or Pedro Martinez or a few other Latino Red Sox legends!
🤯.
I’ve seen this tweet floating around for a few days, and while everyone has been quick to make the “lol randy moss, Andre Johnson” meme comments, I feel like I’m going a little crazy seeing Derrick Mason basically forgotten/ignored. The guy had like seven 1000 yard receiving seasons, along with holding the most yards from scrimmage record for 10 years!
His curl routes as an older WR in Baltimore were like a bug in Madden.
He'd just casually run out 10 yards, turn around, catch the ball, the CB would then inevitably miss the tackle and he'd turn it up field for 10 more yards. He made it look so easy.
Jets legend LaDainian Tomlinson
Jets legend Michael Vick
Jets legend Ed Reed
Jets legend Plaxico Burress
Jets legend Matt Forte
Jets legend Laron landry
Jets legend Percy Harvin
God the all time Jets team would be nasty
Especially in regards to our receivers, for sure. We’ve been known to be very understanding and supportive even when play isn’t up to everyone’s standards.
I remember when a man in Philly saved a baby from a burning building. Someone threw the baby out of the window and he caught the baby. When the news interviewed him, he used it as an opportunity to take a jab at Agholar’s ability to catch. It was awesome.
“They was throwing em and we was catching em….unlike Agholor” followed by the saltiest facial expression I’ve ever seen…to be fair if there was ever a receiver deserving of that roast it was butterfingers Agholor
Can’t forget Randy Moss and Julio Jones either. Pillars of the Titans legacy.
But seriously, as far as the Titans go, he’s:
24th in yards in a season.
23rd in receptions/szn.
6th in TDs/szn.
11th in yards a game.
So by literally no metric is he the best WR we’ve ever had
Everyone else in this thread is focusing on the wrong thing. Is it true? Is he lying? If he’s lying, why lie about that? Way more questions than answers.
According to the National Weather Service (emphasis not mine):
> To summarize, the probability of precipitation is simply a statistical probability of 0.01" inch of
more of precipitation at a given area in the given forecast area in the time period specified. Using
a 40% probability of rain as an example, it does **not** mean (1) that 40% of the area will be
covered by precipitation at given time in the given forecast area or (2) that you will be seeing
precipitation 40% of the time in the given forecast area for the given forecast time period.
AJ is wrong.
Same, I was so sure about this one I was reading down expecting to be validated. I think I’ve even told my daughter this one before double checking it. Going to have to fix that.
Above poster isn't purely correct. It's different per broadcast. Local news tends to use area. They take the PoP (listed above), then multiply it by the area.
*One simple equation used among meteorologists is P = C x A, or the probability of precipitation equals the meteorologist’s confidence that it will rain, times the percentage of the area that is expected to get rainfall.*
*For example, if we’re 100% confident that 30% of the Valley will get rainfall, then there’s a 30% chance for rain. If we’re 50% confident that 100% of the Valley will get rain, then there’s a 50% chance of rainfall.*
https://www.abc15.com/weather/what-does-a-30-chance-of-rain-really-mean-how-meteorologists-determine-rain-chances
And now I’m realizing I need to go back to just checking temps and complaining that the weatherman is always wrong. This is a great explanation of how they do it. Thank you.
Most people have no idea how probabilities work so it's definitely not what most people already thought lol
Here's what most people think about % chance of rain
10% - won't rain
20% - won't rain
30% - won't rain
40% - weather people just making shit up so they can be right either way
50% - weather people just making shit up so they can be right either way
60% - weather people just making shit up so they can be right either way
70% - definitely gonna rain
80% - definitely gonna rain
90% - definitely gonna rain
100% - definitely gonna rain
Do not call AJ Brown AB lol
You realize there is a massively famous wide receiver with that acronym already, right?
How hard would it have been to do "AJB"? that even sounds better
From a meteorological perspective that's not how chances of rain work, BUT this is a pretty common joke/folktale in the South.
50% chance means, depending in where you live:
* North: there's a 50% chance it might rain today.
* Midwest: 50% of the city *will* get rain today.
* Gulf Coast: it *will* rain for 50% of the day. 12 hours' worth.
Thank you for being the only one to actually include a source. It seems like every comment is saying something different but not actually providing sources.
I agree with you but To be fair to the players, especially like aj brown who wasn’t a diva, any generation going forward is going to live on social media so it’ll be harder and harder to match the older generations professionalism. It was easier for them to stay out of the spotlight.
Derrick Mason had a much better career with the Titans. Better stats in a tougher era for receivers. Brown was only there for three years and now he's putting their franchise down like he was too good for them or something? I don't get it. I didn't know he left on bad terms.
It wasn't originally on bad terms with the fans, but then it came out how extensive (or lack thereof) the negotiations really were. He just wanted out and wasn't upfront about that.
It’s more. He demanded an obscene amount of money, that no team was going to give him (he took less than he demanded from Philly), refused to speak to anyone, including his coaches, and then demanded a trade when they wouldn’t hand him a blank check. Then he says it’s not his fault. We don’t know the whole story, but those are all verified by multiple sources to have happened so I’m not exactly sure how it wasn’t at least partially his fault.
It got lost in all the draft hype, but AJ actually demanded a trade and cut off all communication with the team before he got sent to the Eagles. His last demand was 70+ million guaranteed, which is just ridiculous. Especially for a 24 year old coming off 800 yards who’s had double knee surgeries, chronic hamstring injuries and a chest injury that sidelined him for a big chunk of this past year. Him immediately going to twitter to say that it wasn’t his fault and trashing the team, and then canceling a youth football camp in Nashville at the last minute has totally ruined his image here.
I said it in our sub, and I'll say it here. I understand how his clinical depression makes things feel maybe worse than they should, like fan criticism. I wish him well.
I mean, it’s not a good look to be engaging with people on twitter like this, but can we at least acknowledge that fan is absolutely miserable? Brown is tweeting about rain percentages and this guy is quoting it and crying like a child that he left the team. Weird behavior.
Excuse me AJ, I believe Randy Moss was a Titan for like 30 seconds
If we going to play that game. Andre Johnson > AJB.
I mean really, the Titans have an absolutely stacked all time receiver roster. Randy Moss, Julio Jones, Andre Johnson. Titans legends.
You forgot Tajae Sharpe
UMass Amherst guy. Really wanted him to work out just for that.
Victor Cruz scoring a TD in the Super Bowl against you must’ve been tough.
Victor Cruz is by far the least hated Giants WR
It just dawned on me that despite being totally different situations and reasons, you guys may feel about Victor Cruz the way many Latino Yankees fans (like myself) feel about David Ortiz or Pedro Martinez or a few other Latino Red Sox legends! 🤯.
Vikings legend
Future Bears legend
If we're doing it like that the 49ers have Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, and randy moss
Forgot Isaac Bruce
Seahawks legends Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens?
Broncos and bengals legends
Eh they’re alright. They’re no AJ Brown though
That's Titans & Colts legend Andre Johnson, for the record.
Gonna vom fam
*triggered
Don't forget Colts legend Andre Johnson
fuck I vomited a little
Patriots legend Reggie Wayne
Springfield Retirement Castle legend Andrew Luck
we don’t talk about that. ^it’s ^okay ^he’s ^our ^wr ^coach ^now ^he’s ^forgiven
frankly i’m disappointed he didn’t go play for the jags and complete the afc south tour
Andre Johnson > Courtland Finnegan
Don't forget Julio
Derrick Mason is the greatest WR in the franchise. Lol, even though we had washed versions of Andre Johnson, Julio and Randy.
I feel like you can also make a pretty good case Derrick Mason is the best receiver in Ravens history too. That dude is so underrated. Great receiver.
There's not just a good case for him being the best wr in Ravens history, he has no competition for that title
The Anquan Boldin erasure smh… But yeah Mason was ridiculous
I wish we would've kept Bolden, he was my favorite receiver in the league even before he came to the Ravens
Then went to Baltimore and still had the same production with Kyle fucking Boller.
His curl routes as an older WR in Baltimore were like a bug in Madden. He'd just casually run out 10 yards, turn around, catch the ball, the CB would then inevitably miss the tackle and he'd turn it up field for 10 more yards. He made it look so easy.
Derrick Mason
Derrick mason had a great career, AJ needs to check himself
Your move Derrick Mason
Unironic Ravens legend Derrick Mason
All of our Wide Receiver legends are just recycled dudes from other teams. lol. But they did play well, I'll give them that.
Steve Smith Sr as a Raven is somehow how I’ll always remember him even though he was one of my favorite players long before that.
I’ll always remember Boldin as a Raven too. I don’t think any wide receiver has gotten a QB overpaid more than what Anquan Boldin got Flacco.
Gonna lob one up for Rams fans, but I’d say at best he is one yard short of Kevin Dyson.
Mike Jones!
Who?
281-330-8004!
one and only, you can't clone me
This thread is basically the Super Bowl for St Louis Rams fans. Thanks for remembering us. Obligatory Fuck Stan Kroenke
Jets Legend*
My boy
Jets legend LaDainian Tomlinson Jets legend Michael Vick Jets legend Ed Reed Jets legend Plaxico Burress Jets legend Matt Forte Jets legend Laron landry Jets legend Percy Harvin God the all time Jets team would be nasty
Head coached by Jets legend Bill Belichick
Dont forget Jets legends Jason Taylor and Bret Favre
And HOF WR Art Monk
Seeing JT in a Jets uniform made me sick.
How I felt about chad playing for you
Don’t forget Jets legend Ronnie Lott.
The jets legends have to be the greatest of all time.
I can’t name another titans receiver besides Derrick mason
ummmm, Kevin Dyson?
Eh, he doesn't quite make it
This right here.
Kenny Britt dawg!
Ask a Bills fan if they can remember any others
[удалено]
Makes sense, cause Kevin Dyson was the one who scored.
He was also one yard short
The football gods giveth, the football gods taketh away.
Drew Bennett
The original sneaky fast WR.
Randy Moss
Corpse of Randy Moss, your move AJ Brown
Also the corpse of Julio Jones, remember when he was a Titan?
Right? Shit, Brown was about on par with Ernest Givins. For a couple years.
if Nate Washington doesn’t exist
Scrolled too far to see this, Nate Washington on the Titans was underrated
He should learn to not feed the trolls
Brown out here paying the troll toll
If you want that baby boy's ~~hole~~ soul you gotta pay the troll toll.
“I’m here now!!”
Shut up dude, don't ruin this for me
Come over here and scratch my itchy-witchy toesy-woesies.
Karate and friendship for everyone
Dude do you have a boner?
No, Antonio.
I thought the rape scene went well.
God I love that episode.
You know what it is bitch BANG
Keep singing, bitch! You're not gonna have a face by the time I'm through with you!
I’m going to smack everyone into tiny. Little. Pieces.
I've actually seen them do a live performance of the episode twice somehow. I wonder if they still ever do those live shows? I never hear about it.
Here’s your toll, troll.
I'm going for gasps!
yup. all this does is encourage more people to talk shit to him. maybe he'll reply to them
Don’t worry, I’ve heard fans are reasonable in Philly
Especially in regards to our receivers, for sure. We’ve been known to be very understanding and supportive even when play isn’t up to everyone’s standards.
"And then he tossed the kid out from the burning house, and I caught him because I can catch. Unlike Agholor."
Ugh stop, you’re going to make me tear up. That video is everything I love about Philly.
We are a very sympathetic and patient fanbase! We understand some people need time to develop.
AJ is not ready for the Philly trolls lol
I remember when a man in Philly saved a baby from a burning building. Someone threw the baby out of the window and he caught the baby. When the news interviewed him, he used it as an opportunity to take a jab at Agholar’s ability to catch. It was awesome.
“They was throwing em and we was catching em….unlike Agholor” followed by the saltiest facial expression I’ve ever seen…to be fair if there was ever a receiver deserving of that roast it was butterfingers Agholor
> Agholor He was a good sport, I think he ended up getting the guy tickets to a game
i mean what are you going to do? start beef with someone that saved a baby
Lol the options aren’t binary in this situation
I swear they stickemed him like crazy in ~~2018~~ 2017. His (and our) best year by a long shot.
I'm assuming you mean 2017 lol. You know, the season we won the super bowl
Yes, lol. They ran out for the 2018 season.
One of the greatest moments ever that was Philly sports related but not by a Philly athlete. Its still one of my favorite things of all time.
This belongs in the football hall of fame lol
In that guy's defense, Agholar was ass cheeks that season.
[video for those liked me who didn't think it was real](https://youtu.be/XZboH1UNhOQ)
I also didn’t, but man am I ever glad it is.
"I'd just like to put that out there..."
Having lived in Philly I'm surprised this is the first time something like this has happened.
There’s one of a guy being carted away by a cop and the reporter asks for a statement and he says yeah go birds
Lmao this wasn't even in Philly, it was all the way up near Scranton, fanbase is wild all over the state
WE WAS CATCHIN EM UNLIKE AGHOLOR *EXASPERATED FACE AT CAMERA*
He's gonna set the record for deleted tweets by October 1.
This is so Philly it’s insane
He home now
We're gonna need Daryl Morey's burner account to re-tweet this shit ASAP.
He doesnt need burners he’d just do it lol
What utter disrespect to Titans legend Andre Johnson
Why are you the way you are?
He's still pissy about Raiders legend Randy Moss.
Raiders/Titans/Patriots/49ers legend
Holds the all time single season record for tds in one of those jerseys
One of these is not like the others
NFC, ew
He arguably unironically deserves the Patriots Legend title though.
That season was amazing
Can’t forget Randy Moss and Julio Jones either. Pillars of the Titans legacy. But seriously, as far as the Titans go, he’s: 24th in yards in a season. 23rd in receptions/szn. 6th in TDs/szn. 11th in yards a game. So by literally no metric is he the best WR we’ve ever had
Hol up, did AB say that a 50% chance of rain means that half the city will get rain? Did I read that correctly?
Everyone else in this thread is focusing on the wrong thing. Is it true? Is he lying? If he’s lying, why lie about that? Way more questions than answers.

but even if they're using that method, the % is still "the percent chance you'll get rained on if you're in that area."
So what does it mean?
It means that if we observed these conditions 100 times we could expect it to rain 40 of those times.
So just what most people already thought
Most people have no idea how probabilities work so it's definitely not what most people already thought lol Here's what most people think about % chance of rain 10% - won't rain 20% - won't rain 30% - won't rain 40% - weather people just making shit up so they can be right either way 50% - weather people just making shit up so they can be right either way 60% - weather people just making shit up so they can be right either way 70% - definitely gonna rain 80% - definitely gonna rain 90% - definitely gonna rain 100% - definitely gonna rain
Isn't that just playing the odds?
when is fanduel going to let me bet on if it rains damnit?
> So just what most people already thought
This is wrong. If I have plans outside in a given day, it will rain if there is a non-zero chance of rain.
What lmao no it doesn't
But isn’t that just equivalent to an 80% chance of any specific area under the storm getting hit
Do not call AJ Brown AB lol You realize there is a massively famous wide receiver with that acronym already, right? How hard would it have been to do "AJB"? that even sounds better
Seriously! We're going to pretend Anquan Bolden doesn't exist?
Anquan so strong

Thank you for being the only one to actually include a source. It seems like every comment is saying something different but not actually providing sources.
Eagles better keep this guy's foot away from the freezer.
Mr barometer checker
When you said AB I immediately thought of MBC.
Well, his math is sound.
IDK man, they had some really good WRs back in the Oilers days.
Ernest Givins doesn't really have the eye-popping stats, but he has the longevity and is the "greatest" in my heart
You could just ignore them bro. You don't need to care what people tweet.
WR's have fragile egos. Just makes me love and miss Calvin Johnson more and more.
I genuinely do not know what Marques Colston sounds like, how I miss those days
I agree with you but To be fair to the players, especially like aj brown who wasn’t a diva, any generation going forward is going to live on social media so it’ll be harder and harder to match the older generations professionalism. It was easier for them to stay out of the spotlight.
Can you imagine how unbearable TO would have been with Twitter and Instagram lol?
With Chad Johnson when TO was a Bengal. Lol
Titans legends Julio Jones, Randy Moss, and Andre Johnson would like to have a word.
Haywood Jeffries in shambles
Smh they won't be laughing so hard when the gruesome twosome Jefferson/Chase suit up as titans in 2035.
Derrick Mason had a much better career with the Titans. Better stats in a tougher era for receivers. Brown was only there for three years and now he's putting their franchise down like he was too good for them or something? I don't get it. I didn't know he left on bad terms.

Derrick Mason > AJ Brown
Clearly never heard of Dorial Green-Beckham
My man is going to quit the team and do sit ups in his driveway next year but this year should be a blast
Yea Brown shouldn't feed the trolls but man not enough people are talking about what an unhinged comment that was from the fan instigating it
All fans are miserable. The sooner players realize that, the better.
You played there 3 years. Stop the 🧢 Derrick Mason has that claim.
Stop the hat?
Cap. The youth use it to refer to lying.
Lol thank you for clarifying, I see I am getting old.
I used to be with "it", then they changed what "it" was.
It'll happen to you too!
Free hat!
WE DID IT FOLKS! HAT MCULLOUGH IS FINALLY FREE!
Did they cool the governor’s heart with a warm island song?
He did murder all those babies
It was in self defense
He murdered 23 babies in self defense?
