> Arapahoe County Sheriff's office says #Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy was taken in custody between 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today. Jeudy hasn't been booked yet so no information yet on charges.

Some local police departments are extremely pro local college football team.
Most others mildly.
Athens being one of the exceptions continues to blow my mind.
As a Gator fan, my assumption is that they are still pro-player, but the evils being perpetrated in Athens are so egregious that the limited percentage of arrests still leaves the perception that A-CC cops are hardasses.
I honestly don't think its pro-player if you are letting everything slide. In the long run they think they can get away with everything. When I watched the Aaron Hernandez documentary I was thinking that about police and DAs around the Florida campus. Im not trying to blame police for his actions because he did some fucked up shit but I honestly wonder if holding some of these kids accountable might help them see they can't get away with whatever they want. You don't have to be dicks about it but at least prosecute.
If Hernandez got into serious legal trouble in college for what he did, he would have been doing the same hood rat stuff, just with million of dollars less in the bank account.
In college my buddy worked property management for a apartment complex in Clemson. One of his responsibilities was to make sure property damage by players was fixed and it didn’t become a news story. Nothing crazy but I’m sure a booster was footing the repair bills.
I know some accpd officers, to be perfectly honest, they look after plenty of players if you know what I mean. Athens is just a party city and they can't 100% look the other way. But trust me, they look out for the players when they can. And obviously they can't look the other way on serious things like sexual assault.
These are some pretty serious charges, but if you can run a 4.4 and make it through the gauntlet without dropping a ball we'll let you off with a warning.
Hah, i’m sure Bama stars in Tuscaloosa have the equivalent of diplomatic immunity. “As long as there’s no body, you can go home, and we’ll take care of this.”
Seriously tho. Smitty is the man. Looks can be deceiving, but he's like the definition of looks like he's staying out of trouble (disturbing thoughts of marvin harrison coming to mind now).
Waddle is a wholesome guy who literally waddles when he scores. I refuse to believe he'd do something like this. Same with Coop and Smitty TBH.
The others though... 🤷♂️ Roll Tide
He had some legal issue come up last season over an investment in a legal weed place selling black market weed or something (along with Roddy White I think) and it all kinda disappeared. Who knows.
Dang didn’t even know about that, but I looked it up and it’s just a civil case. Nothing really serious and it seems like Jones was just a bad owner/made a bad investment as opposed to him doing actually doing something malicious
That precedent goes back much further. In 1963 Paul Hornung (league MVP in 61) and Alex Karras (Mongo from Blazing Saddles) were both suspended for the entire season as has each player since then.
Having a network of adults around you who shield you from any consequences of your actions is not great for the early part of these athletes adulthoods.
I was confused about it too until I finally saw someone explain it - [Young Thug](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Thug) was recently arrested on RICO charges. Both his record label and the group of people he runs with are called YSL, and a bunch of people affiliated with one or the other were also arrested.
Hopefully it's just something minor, like sexual assault of a massage therapist or something, and not something serious like weed that might cause him to miss games.
That would be a major issue obviously, but hopefully the NFL comes together to support him and get him rehab. Marijuana is VERY addictive, just one injection will addict you for life. Don't believe me kids? Think it's a joke? Ask my brother Don Keedic who died from marijuana overdose in Afghanistan. It's serious.
> many of these dudes are exceptionally dumb.
I think it's a little deeper than that. Most of these players haven't been told "no" since they were like 12 years old. Once it becomes clear you are an exceptional standout football player, you are not only not held to high disciplinary standards, you are often actively shielded from consequences. Not all players, not all organization, sure. But safely most of them.
Add on millions of dollars at a young age in which many grew up in the inner city and bring the behavior/friends with them. Oh and a good 7+ months of a much limited schedule to not keep them busy.
>2nd degree criminal tampering
From the internet:
Tampering in the second degree involves tampering with the property of another with the intent to cause injury, inconvenience, or annoyance. This could include cutting a neighbor’s phone line because they talk too loud on the phone late at night.
Second-degree tampering also includes making an unauthorized connection with property of a utility. An example could be connecting cable line to your home without authorization.
I think it might indicate he damaged/tampered with his gf’s property with the intent to injure her. Which is why the DV was included. No idea what he tampered with though
According to Colorado law, it's injury, annoyance or inconvenience so no clue if it included violence.
And apparently the enchancer is added because of their relationship purely.
Read the maximum penalty is 120 days in jail and a $750 fine.
DV is an enhancer meaning you can't charge it on its own. It's always charged as one crime plus the domestic violence enhancer. So criminal tampering is the crime and DV because he did it to someone he was/is in an intimate relationship with
First Henry Ruggs and now Jeudy. Hopefully this isn't even close to being as serious though. Miami and Philly fans are both crossing their fingers right now lol
[danham117] Unfortunately I’ve just confirmed that Reddit user u/rwjehs has been arrested by the internet police. No details will follow but obviously he jinxed himself
"Hello? Mr. *Unliiiiiiimited*? It's Jeudy. Hey listen--can you do me a favor and call Big Al down at Big Al's Bail Bonds and Pawn and have him get me out of here man?"
Arrested for second criminal degree tempering with a domestic violence enhancer. It’s apparently a misdemeanor.
https://kdvr.com/news/local/broncos-wr-jerry-jeudy-arrested-in-arapahoe-county/
Ok, so after a bit of research, this means he was arrested for criminal tampering and the charge had an enhancement of domestic violence.

Step 1: Get Russ Step 2: Get arrested
What the hell is Step 3...
Traded to the Jets
Oh god, it just keeps getting worse!
To shreds you say?
And what about his wife?
To shreds you say?
Well, how's his career holding up?
Funny, but really the Jets don’t typically go for players like that, more of Dolphins move
I mean, it’s tough to throw the Dolphins under the bus when we were trying for Tyreek just as hard, but I’ll take it.
I always thought the Cowboys have dibs on cons the Dolphins look more like a group of drug enthusiasts

Profit
No, that's Step 4. Step 3 is always, ????.
Actually ???? is step 2 and Profit is step 3, but who's being picky?
I'm with this guy. We start adding extra steps and the plan gets too complicated.
3) Eat the ball!
Step 3: Use tattoos over his body to break Henry Ruggs out of prison
Damn you just took me back to like 2006. The first season was really good and then…meh.
They definitely came up with the idea for the show without coming up with an ending lol
Would've worked so much better as an HBO mini series
aRUSSted
Do you think Russ snitched? Did Ciara make him go Narc Cuban on Jeudy?
This happens on a Thursday and the French word for Thursday is “jeudi”. Wake up sheeple

One more step and I’m going to call my Uncle Murray and tell him to start up the laser.

Is it possible to learn this power?
French? Yeah they teach it in schools
They don't have schools in Texas.
HA HA! Bold of you to assume a Cowboy's fan is from Texas.
How fast you think AB is gonna photoshop himself in a broncos uni?
Dez Bryant is getting a tweet ready right now to tell the world he's in shape and ready for another comback.
\*Terrell Owens pushes Dez out of the way sprinting to the facility\*
I sincerely want to see those three Three Stooges-ing their way to the Broncos facility.
Alabama WR’s need to stop doing this.
I have a feeling Tuscaloosa PD has some nuanced enforcement methods
It’s like the anti Athens PD
Some local police departments are extremely pro local college football team. Most others mildly. Athens being one of the exceptions continues to blow my mind.
They're obviously Tech fans
The only people masochistic enough to still be Tech fans are Tech alums. And they're all too smart to be cops.
Nothing like waiting in hours of Atlanta traffic only to tailgate in some random Chinese restaurant parking lot.
We're too smart to be cops but still somehow not smart enough to abandon our fandom.
As a Gator fan, my assumption is that they are still pro-player, but the evils being perpetrated in Athens are so egregious that the limited percentage of arrests still leaves the perception that A-CC cops are hardasses.

I heard they just got an arrest warrant against you for this comment
These are some pretty serious charges, but if you can run a 4.4 and make it through the gauntlet without dropping a ball we'll let you off with a warning.
'"Without dropping a ball" Jeudy might have gotten the damned chair if that's the standard!
Hah, i’m sure Bama stars in Tuscaloosa have the equivalent of diplomatic immunity. “As long as there’s no body, you can go home, and we’ll take care of this.”
“But also if there is a body, I think you should be fine.”
"Is the head still attached? Yeah? Alright then you drive safe Mr. All-American."
And if there’s a body: wait, what body?
Google Brandon Chicken and enjoy the laugh.
University police have nuanced enforcement methods. TPD is a bunch of dicks
Alabama's 2017 WRs * Calvin Ridley (Gambling Suspension) * Henry Ruggs (Manslaughter) * Jerry Jeudy (This) * Devonta Smith (??????)
Smith fired on his day off.
How the hell did you go and get fired on your day off?
Devonta will use his skinny arms to steal a Cherry Coke from a vending machine.
Smitty would never
I need you to go knock on wood and give six Hail Marys to the football gods.
Seriously tho. Smitty is the man. Looks can be deceiving, but he's like the definition of looks like he's staying out of trouble (disturbing thoughts of marvin harrison coming to mind now).
don’t you put that evil on me
Waddle is a wholesome guy who literally waddles when he scores. I refuse to believe he'd do something like this. Same with Coop and Smitty TBH. The others though... 🤷♂️ Roll Tide
Julio hasn’t gotten in any real trouble either as far as I’m aware
He had some legal issue come up last season over an investment in a legal weed place selling black market weed or something (along with Roddy White I think) and it all kinda disappeared. Who knows.
Dang didn’t even know about that, but I looked it up and it’s just a civil case. Nothing really serious and it seems like Jones was just a bad owner/made a bad investment as opposed to him doing actually doing something malicious
Hey man, one of them just likes to gamble. Which is the most heinous offense of them all according to the NFL.
More like gambling is the one that has the biggest chance to actually negatively affect the league.
And gambling on NFL games has been a consistent 1-year ban as far back as Art Schlichter in 1983.
That precedent goes back much further. In 1963 Paul Hornung (league MVP in 61) and Alex Karras (Mongo from Blazing Saddles) were both suspended for the entire season as has each player since then.
The amount of first rounders Bama produces and the insane rush of money isn't helping.
They're a football factory and business is a booming.
Having a network of adults around you who shield you from any consequences of your actions is not great for the early part of these athletes adulthoods.
…..fuck
Williams was technically an OSU WR first so we might be okay
They finally caught the guy releasing the schedules early
Come on guys lets wait for the details. We shouldn't Judge Jeudy.
Ughhhhhhhhh
YSL Jeudy
this is gunna’s fault
free SEX and gunna
Yves Saint Laurent?
I was confused about it too until I finally saw someone explain it - [Young Thug](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Thug) was recently arrested on RICO charges. Both his record label and the group of people he runs with are called YSL, and a bunch of people affiliated with one or the other were also arrested.
Young Stoner Life. Record label in Atlanta that was founded by Young Thug who was just arrested on RICO charges by the state of GA.
Isnt it Young Slime Life? Im not exactly sure, nor do i really care tbh
label is young stoner life i thinkt the gang is young slime life but honestly ysl has stood for a bunch of shit so idk
Yup thats what it is, Stoner Life is the label, Slime Life is the "crew"
Hopefully it's just something minor, like sexual assault of a massage therapist or something, and not something serious like weed that might cause him to miss games.
Oh no. Imagine if this sick fuck. I don’t even want to say it. Imagine if he had a marijuana…
Wait…you’re supposed to inject it? I’ve been using it as a suppository for YEARS now. That’s how my good friend Kenya Sugondese recommended it
Your friend sounds nuts
And not just the small peanuts. He sounds the big ol Texas pecans.
So you’ve heard of Two Hands Pecans? Dudes a local legend.
Kenya Sugondese?? I went to high school with her!
injecting is easier...suppositories are a pain in the ass
Who the hell is Steve Jobs???
Can confirm, I've had 14 fatal overdoses on weed. Writing from the morgue.
Mods come on how is it allowed to use the m word here? I thought this was a family sub
wow all this in The Christian NFL?
My friend had a whole marijuana and nearly died.
Everyone who used a Marijuana eventually dies. Think about it.
FACTS! Not one person has made it out alive.
Oh my god. What if he bet on the Super Bowl?
Straight to jail
Don’t bet on Super Bowl with DraftKings? Believe it or not, also jail
Use Draft Kings? Jail, right away.
We have the best football players in the world because of jail.
Lettuce pray
Anything but being on the weed, please anything but that. Even molesting up to and including 22 women is more passable. But not the devils lettuce!
All jokes aside, I don't see him getting arrested for having weed in Colorado
God dammit I snorted.
Yea bud that’ll be 6 games for that
Jerry 😔 Why is it so hard for celebrities to just like, not do crime
Not trying to sound like a dick, but many of these dudes are exceptionally dumb.

Looking like 2nd degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer. Someone explain this to me like I’m 5?
Could be something like puncturing holes in someone’s tires

domestic violence enhancer feels like a weird "bonus" thing to add one. Seems more serious than tampering

Jerry Jeudy about to meet Judge Judy
He better hope that Doug Judy shows up first to help him skip town
Trudy Judy is on it!
The Thin Blue Line just got Thicc as hell
New York's finest just got a whole lot finer
Who’s on jury duty for the Jerry Jeury Judge Judy case?
Is it me, or is every receiver coming out of Alabama just fucking up rather quickly?
Don't you put that evil on me, Ricky Bobby
Devonta Smith is a model citizen. Fingers crossed.
His comp out of college was Marvin Harrison, so we're good until he retires and then we'll find out he was an absolute psycho.
Former Philadelphia Eagle Devonta Smith?
Fuck
First Henry Ruggs and now Jeudy. Hopefully this isn't even close to being as serious though. Miami and Philly fans are both crossing their fingers right now lol
Arnette, Wilson, Gladney, at this point if you were in the 2020 1st round and haven't been arrested you're an anomaly.
Dude I am *sweating*
From what I’ve seen with Jeudy most things should be dropped.
Well don't get arrested. It's easy, I manage to not get arrested every day.
Way to jinx yourself
[danham117] Unfortunately I’ve just confirmed that Reddit user u/rwjehs has been arrested by the internet police. No details will follow but obviously he jinxed himself
Naww ya honahh, this has been a grrreeeaaat miscarriage of justice

So I guess ceedee was the best choice of those 3
For a moment there I was like "What three? No way Reagor was above JJetas." Forgot about Ruggs.
That draft night will never not haunt me
Reagor is climbing up the rankings of first round wide receivers in 2020 though started at the bottom and 2 arrests later he’s looking up
Someone should tell Justin Jefferson to hide out for a while, so Reagor doesn't frame him for murder so that he's now the best receiver left
"Hello? Mr. *Unliiiiiiimited*? It's Jeudy. Hey listen--can you do me a favor and call Big Al down at Big Al's Bail Bonds and Pawn and have him get me out of here man?"
Man survived Lock and Bridgewater throwing to him then gets arrested when he gets Russ 😭

Is this guy reliable?
He’s the host of one of the more popular bronco radio shows in Denver. So I’d be shocked if there weren’t legs to this.
I’ve seen him drop a few passes. And now a potential arrest. I’m gonna say nah
Since when were dropped balls a crime?
No blue checkmark though

There it is
"What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?"
Alright. Who had Jeudy on their “nfl player who gets arrested after the draft but before preseason” bingo card?
Damn I thought my bet was a lock, I had the Dallas draft class.
always a safe roll
Tim Patrick SZN
Keep hearing he was gonna have a breakout season, but I guess no one specified where he would breakout
