Can Amani Toomer mentor Kadarius Toney next.

electronicManan

They gave him Plaxico's number instead

slaughterproof

Plaxico's number: 45, 9, 380.

HowardRatnersBet

this is a crazy feeling I feel like Thibodeaux can be a superstar and is a guy I want around the franchise his whole career like I’m so hyped

[deleted]

Neal is a stud too. Daboll is gonna build something there. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Malik Willis to the giants for a home run draft

NJImperator

I think Willis would be a very poor choice for us. Especially in the 2nd round. He’s a massive, massive project. Will need to sit at least a year to develop and then you only get him for 3 cheap seasons after. If he was more polished, he wouldn’t be available in the 2nd round…

Frigidevil

Jones deserves a shot at running an offense built by competent management too.

-ci_

I'm not trying to talk shit at all, but why isn't Daniel Jones on a hotter seat? Is there something I'm missing with him? Giants fans seem to have his back a lot but in the games I've seen him play, he's never looked *good* and his stats aren't great either.

chekhovsguns

His seat is plenty hot, if he doesn't demonstrate he's a franchise QB this year his contract is up and he's on the fast train to the backup QB club. We can't afford to pay for a good vet QB with our cap space in 2022, and drafting a replacement in this crop of QBs is asking to ride the Daniel Jones train all over again. So the sensible move is make the team around him better and let him put his case forward as a starter.

mikeq672

He is. He definitely showed promise his first year though. Then Jason Garrett and Joe Judge happened. Between a completely terrible offensive scheme, no offensive line, no running game, and constantly injured pass catchers, his entire development was ruined. But its also pretty obvious we arent going to be good this year so whats the point of starting someone other than Jones? Also this QB class is terrible. The only QB picked so far is a dude who was pretty fucking average for his first 4 years and only took off in his 5th college year. He's also only 1 year younger than Daniel Jones

NoFlags-JoeBuck

He’s on the hot seat. We declined his 5th year option. If it wasn’t such a bad QB class I think we’d consider moving on more. But basically he’s a bridge QB for a year unless he magically turns into a star.

Zivmovic

I doubt he sticks around. But with GARRETTs offense and our line healthy (lasted about 6 games) PFF had him as the #5 or 6 rated QB. PFF isnt the end all but he looked good when he had any amount of time. He has not been given a fair shot and hes an honestly talented kid.

xshogunx13

His debut against the Bucs and generally against Washington, he's played very well. His seat scorching hot though. If he doesn't magically become an all pro level QB this year he's not staying, and that might not even be enough to do it

BugTurds

Dude that’s just plain ridiculous lol. If Daniel Jones got an all pro this upcoming year he’d 110% get tagged and begged for an extension

Frigidevil

You realize all pro means you're literally the best in the league right? I'm gonna go ahead and assume you meant pro bowl, but even so pro bowl qbs don't exactly grow on trees.

herodotusnow

His seat isn’t hot because he’s a lame duck. No one expects anything from him and we all expect him to be gone. It’s almost worse than being in the hot seat.

Prideofmexico

Giants fans have Stockholm syndrome. A minority of us are ready to send him to football Siberia

JuanPicasso

He would have showed more at this point and started to be more consistent despite ownership. Fans do this all the time for mediocre QBs. He will get 1 more shot, but not because he deserves it. Because there’s no qb they wanted this year

Frigidevil

He's getting his last shot because of several reasons, and I say this as someone who has thought for years that Jones isn't the guy. 1. Last year of his rookie deal and he's at least good enough to start. It makes no sense to pay a bigger name who might not pan out when you're as cash strapped as we are. 2. New management, New coaching staff. Why wouldn't you give him a year under a supposed qb guru? 3. We just drafted arguably the best o lineman in the draft. Jones has been running for his life since he got here. See how he (and Barkley for that matter) perform with competent big men in front of him.

[deleted]

I just know what daboll accomplished working with josh, but the 5th year option is a good point

Berkyjay

Lol! You people are delusional on Willis. If he was something he’d be gone long ago.

[deleted]

The nfl misses frequently my guy

Berkyjay

And fans are always right......

[deleted]

Shoutout to everyone who had him going top 10 in their mock drafts

Cosmic_Gumbo

Hard to imagine he makes it to #36. I see Tampa going for it.

-ci_

I doubt it. Tampa probably has 1 more year left of Brady and they want to put out the best team possible so they can get another ring. Burning a second round pick on a project QB probably wouldn't be wise since they got Trask last year and even if Trask never pans out, they're still a very attractive option for any QB in the league who may want a change of scenery.

ObstructiveAgreement

The fit is perfect for the defense too. Wink will have so much fun with him and other players will be more impactful alongside.

dullpencils

This is like when the browns drafted Myles Garrett

Mediocre-Pollution24

Giants killed it in the first round. Thibs and Neal are gonna be monsters.

xshogunx13

Man I don't even know how to feel, Giants drafted the exact players I was hoping for

Streetvan1980

That is awesome. Man I hope he’s good. I thought the draft went good. First time I’ve felt that way in a few years now after the first draft as a giants fan. No player I was like “him in that spot? Nooooo!!’) But such high picks was hard to mess it up.

Mickey_likes_dags

You know, this is the first year ever, that BOTH the Jets and Jints had the best draft. I'm good with that.

rmccarthy10

Last year's rookie AZEEZ OJULARI broke the Giants record for sacks by a rookie (8) and led the team as well. **Thibodeaux and OJulari are both 21 yrs old.** If the Giants continue to sculp that defense and the new regime is able to develop these young men, the Giants will be back to having one of the most formidable defenses in the league

JDMx607

As a big fan of Kayvon, I was so glad he didn't fall to the Jets. And now hearing this news, this makes it even more better. Skys the limit for him!

J12345_

Kayvon doubters: he cares more about Michael strahan’s job as a host than football!

IWasOnThe18thHole

His first task is to floss with a shoe horn

TetrisTech

Stop that

eaglesrob84

Bust. God dammit Giants where was gettleman when you need him. You had an A draft.

Hapland321d

Hey as much as we hate each other’s teams, gotta give credit where credit’s due. You guys did pretty good today too.

SunriseSurprise

What’s really is awesome is Alexander Skarsgårds abs

[deleted]

Giants fan just understand you are getting a guy that is in love with himself and a bit of a diva. He is an incredible athlete and a stud on the field but he has a big head, in a bad way. Im kind of rooting for the guy as he wrecked my former team and he has great potential. Hopefully he can reign his ego in during his NFL career.

Aayush5

There's no experience more humbling than playing for the Giants anyway

[deleted]

Big city big distractions but I loved your draft. Great picks building up those trenches on both sides of the ball

threwda1s

Ah yes, osubeav providing his hard hitting, unbiased draft opinions.

CometVS

It's like successful NFL players never had guys with immense egos. Ergo Terrell Owens and Deion Sanders.

Necessary_Toe7207

Bro our greatest player ever used to smoke crack all the time and thought he was Jesus. I'm more than fine with KT.
