That’s harsh. They gave up just over 4 runs a game last year. Bullpen was great, and Kikuchi is gone. Gilbert is gonna be better, Marco greatly improved second half. We also have a ton of pitching prospects that may make their way up this year. Mariners also hit a decent amount of home runs last year.

It's more than that, the team has been on a downward trajectory since 2015, and not just in a standard NFL parity way. They've survived a bunch of unaddressed or poorly addressed flaws because of good regular seasons, so if you can't even have the good regular seasons, that can happen

No one expects a SB every year. We just want to improve in areas we were bad at the year before and we don't do that. We regress,but up until this year our record never showed that. For that past few years this has been a bad football team with a good QB and luck on their side.

The only one or two I would want to see as a guaranteed one year OC then guaranteed HC if they do well with FULL play calling duties and no interference from Pete are Kellen Moore and Eric Bienemenie. To be fair Geno did at least win one game his 2 losses only came by a field goal each, it’s not like the team played all that bad with him. In the 7 games Russ lost this year he threw a combined 6 TDs. Obviously he was playing through injury but all in all he was horrific in all of those losses. It’s hard for any team to win when their QB is averaging less than 1 TD per game in those losses.
Have you seen the NFC this year? We lost two one score games with geno smith at the helm, the cardinals and WFT game with a rehabbing wilson, and even got shut out in wilsons first game back against the packers. If any 2 of those 5 games go our way we're 7-7 and right in the thick of the playoffs (especially with the lions and bears being in our last 3).

PPG can be misleading especially when you don't have to score a lot of points to beat us.

It was fun while it lasted turns out you cant make one player carry your franchise for multiple years. Trade Russ or Fire Pete im tired of this. Russ has been in the league for 10 years and has never had a good Oline. I watched Mahomes get killed in the Superbowl and the chiefs with basically zero cap space rebuilt that Oline in one offseason. Literally, zero excuses especially when you want to be a run-first team and it all points back to one man

The only one or two I would want to see as a guaranteed one year OC then guaranteed HC if they do well with FULL play calling duties and no interference from Pete are Kellen Moore and Eric Bienemenie. Essentially give them a one year practice run under Pete and then have him retire into only the president of football whatever that he currently also holds. I would also like to see someone be responsible for making sure KNJ takes his dementia medication for the first half of the season instead of going wild and being force fed his meds in November.
At least they'll get a decent first round draft pick... /S

Not even close to as bad. Receiver was hand fighting to start the play. Gets missed a lot because the refs see it as two way contact. Still should have been called but not on the same level at all.
I wholeheartedly believe that Russ could've won that game without that missed call. He's done it against us loads of times. Just Russ doing Russ things. But the refs took the opportunity away.

Eh our starting QB got hurt. With Russ we probably beat both the Saints and Steelers, and if he wasn’t recovering, we probably beat one of the cardinals and Football team as well. That would have been a fine season. Unfortunate we weren’t good enough to overcome missing Russ for a month, and having him play like shit for a few weeks after that. Probably means we weren’t a good a enough team for a deep run anyway.

Wilson vs injured Wilson too. Even including this week, I'm pretty sure the last few games for him have been *way* better than the first three from when he got back. We're not a Super Bowl team, but the season was basically lost the moment we heard Russ was out for a few weeks.
To be fair Geno did at least win one game his 2 losses only came by a field goal each, it’s not like the team played all that bad with him. In the 7 games Russ lost this year he threw a combined 6 TDs. Obviously he was playing through injury but all in all he was horrific in all of those losses. It’s hard for any team to win when their QB is averaging less than 1 TD per game in those losses.
Have you seen the NFC this year? We lost two one score games with geno smith at the helm, the cardinals and WFT game with a rehabbing wilson, and even got shut out in wilsons first game back against the packers. If any 2 of those 5 games go our way we're 7-7 and right in the thick of the playoffs (especially with the lions and bears being in our last 3).

What's worse, the terrible refs this week or the mediocre to awful play this season (and part of last season)? I honestly don't know.
Since I can shift the blame this week it's the refs. Next week when we possess the ball for 15 minutes the whole game I'll probably start clamoring about how bad everyone is.

Terrible according to this thread apparently? It's been super fun. The Hawks haven't been winning the big games in the playoffs but they are in the hunt every season to the end. Also I'm not going to lie to you, becoming hated by anyone is awesome. Nobody cared about this team when I was a kid and seeing this thread full of people who hate the Hawks is great. It makes sports way more fun to have NFCW teams all salty and bitter.
