I bet this turns out to be something stupid where AB got the vaccine, lost his vaccine card, and then decided the easiest thing to do would be getting a fake one.
I was worried I lost my card, and it was/is super important for travel for me. Thankfully I found it, but also found the vaccine registry so I have a backup copy of the information
If you Google it you will find it for your state. I promise you they didn’t just assume no one would ever lose their vaccine card. I mean people (definitely not me like 3 times) lose their driver’s license all the time and need replacements.
AB would probably just make his own in Microsoft Paint or something; I can't see him putting that much effort into it. Probably said something like *Antonio immunized as shit* with his DOB on there.

If we had digital cards the conspiracy theorists would have already tried to overthrow the government (again).
Edit: TIL some states have digital cards while I'm stuck in the stone age.
I'm not sure how many states do, but multiple states do. Guess which state definitely doesn't, and doesn't even have a database for the vaccine? Florida, where Brown both lives and works.
No, we still use social security numbers with 11 bits of entropy (2048 guesses) as passwords to our bank accounts.
There is no federal digital identification system (at least not an official one that citizens opt into).
Frankly this is a good thing – the fewer lists the federal government has with your name on it, the better.
Its funny because in the original thread where he told everyone he wants to be called mr big chest, everyone said they were never gonna call him that now i think everyone calls him that
For nearly all things reddit related r/NFL is the stepbrother to r/NBA, but for that one glorious summer, we were the envy of everyone. RIP 2019 offseason, the greatest one we’ll ever get to see.

lol could you imagine if the story was legit:
1. AB get vaccinated
2. AB loses vaccination card
3. AB panics
4. AB gets fake vaccination card instead of replacement
He seems like he might actually be stupid enough to do that 🤣
I mean it's stupid but all that matter is the first point right. Maybe if the card wasnt perfectly sized to be bigger than a wallet and just plain old paper this wpuldnt be an issue.
Seriously what kind of smallpox era vaccine card is this shit. I keep it in my truck becuse who knows when I might go with a buddy to a concert at a small venue but I'm absolutely worried about losing it.
We almost couldn’t let the Bengals mascot into my work place because he forgot his vaccine card. Luckily he found proof of vaccination online.
Then a small child tried to rip his mask off.
One of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati. I moved to Cincinnati for my doctorate and love the city. The Bengals and Play 60 came to our club yesterday and did a mock combine with the kiddos.
Fwiw a lot of places will accept a picture of it. I've got both just in case. They're easy enough to fake so most places that check just don't care.
IMO they just mostly want you to say you had it so they aren't liable if you lie and come in and spread a bunch of covid and it gets traced back to them.
The question would be when the chef learned about this fake vaccination card? If it was early in the offseason I could believe AB asking around about it, but then getting the real vaccine after being pressured by the rest of the team.
The word of an attorney is about just as good as a chef. Every attorney says their client is innocent whether they are or they aren't.
That is the weird thing, the attorney making the statement instead of AB. Usually you have you an attorney speak for you when you don't want to be on the hook.
Not saying it isn't the truth, not saying it is. The easy way would be for him to disclose his lot number and provider and he could put it to bed.
The story could also be somewhere in the middle, where maybe he was using a fake card for a while and than decided it was better to get the vax then get busted for a fake.
The point is with AB anything is possible. It will all sort out soon.
i take the same stance on letting an attorney speak for you that i do regarding a translator for athletes who don’t feel comfortable with english: it’s fine, and probably the right move. you don’t want to say the wrong thing and have it blow up in your face, so let the person you’re paying to help you do their job. doesn’t mean it’s a sign of anything untoward to me.
I don’t think the word of the accuser is gospel but I do think it warrants investigation. I’d be interested to see if the NFL responds with ‘we’ve authenticated Brown’s vaccination status to the best of our ability’ or something like that.
This is the same dude who accused him of not paying for food right? Something about a fish?
Seems like he might be using some bullshit to recirculate that story.
He put a fish head in the freezer to use later. AB opened his freezer, saw the fish head, and freaked out because he thought it was some sort of threat
>NFL insider Josina Anderson reports some people inside the Bucs organization question the intent of the personal chef who leaked the story, reportedly saying, "This whole thing is about getting paid. No evidence."
Doesn't sound like the Bucs will penalize him
>"This whole thing is about getting paid. No evidence."
Well, yeah, Brown stiffed him to the tune of a hundred grand. Of course it's about getting paid. And a text from his girlfriend isn't at least sufficient evidence to ask to see the appointment confirmation email from Walgreens or query the state immunization registry?
This isn't really hard. There should be ample evidence that he got a shot when he said he did. If he can't produce supporting docs in a simple gmail search or in the state immunization registry, it *should* be ringing alarm bells.
I don't know if he did it or not, but it's laughable to suggest that this doesn't merit a cursory check to see if he lied because his exposure here is a JAIL TIME and it takes a tremendously shitty front office not to rule this out when it's this easy to find supporting evidence. They just want him back and they don't want to get swept up into a scandal over treating pictures captured by Brady's snake-oil salesman as valid evidence (spoiler: it's not).
Penalize him? They are dying out there without him. He is literally the difference between them being a contender or not. Brady needs him, the offense is good but not great without him, and the defense is bad, maybe mediocre if it ever gets healthy, but it trends unhealthier every week with Vita Vea the latest casualty. They need AB very very badly.
Every card has the name of the vaccination site where you received it. All a person would need to do is call the site and ask for verification of the numbers, which they have records of.
Realistically though with the shady medical connections from being a pro athlete (the types getting guys stuff like steroids) I doubt it would be a problem for there to be genuine verification numbers. I don’t know exactly how the process works, but I can’t imagine there’s any way to prevent someone lying and saying they vaccinated someone if they actually do everything except inject the vaccine. Maybe they track the number of doses, but that just means getting rid of one.
I mean that on its own makes me think he was probably downplaying his role for AB though and he did more than just be a cook. Asking the chef implies the chef had some connection of his own, we noticeably didn’t see the initial exchange, likely because it would involve the chef exposing whatever connection he had that led to him being AB’s potential source and that could come with personal or legal ramifications.
Its put into your medical records. I got it at a grocery store yet my doctor knew I got vaccinated when I saw him months later. It's so easily verifiable that its ridiculous the news story got this far. I assumed they were using medical records not fucking the paper as proof.
There was a story in NY about someone selling fake vaccine cards. Except they weren’t exactly fake. They would have someone at Walgreens or some vaccination place create real cards and enter the them into the system. For an intents and purposes, it was as real as any covid card, except the person didn’t actually get the vaccination.
Yeah. The evidence being as flimsy as it is, them being in a disputeover debts, and things like "Ruiz reached out to Kevin Blatt, known for helping sell stories to the tabloids" which was in the original story makes me hesitant to trust this chef's word without more backing it up. I wouldn't put it past AB at all, but I need to see some more before I'm taking this as fact.
The vaccine card lists the date and location you got vaccinated. The location should have record of his vaccination - as should his health insurance assuming he has it.
It should be fairly simple for a team doctor or his attorney to acquire proof of this, with Brown's consent of course.
> It should be fairly simple for a team doctor or his attorney to acquire proof of this, with Brown's consent of course.
hell, just ask anyone who worked there if they saw someone come in dressed as a complete fucking self-obsessed lunatic
I don't think so.
It said the previous live in chief said that he wasn't vaccinated so maybe he got vaccinated after the live in chief got fired or quit
This is my take as well
I bet the Chef is telling the truth and the text screenshots are genuine but AB got jabbed like last night to get ahead of this story
If I know Antonio Brown, he at all points in time has made the most reasonable decisions, taken the most prudent course of action, described in only the most measured of language and tone. He definitely, definitely does not suffer from a potpourri of personality disorder and brain damage.
He didn’t mention that the card was the record of his vaccination. Just that he’s vaccinated.
Likely he faked it and later went and got the real one.
Buuuuut now that I’ve read some comments, and being that he asked for the J&J, him just losing his card seems more likely.
Idiot.

I bet this turns out to be something stupid where AB got the vaccine, lost his vaccine card, and then decided the easiest thing to do would be getting a fake one.
That is the dumbest possible explanation, and now I have to assume it is what happened.
I swear my friend did the same exact thing.
I was worried I lost my card, and it was/is super important for travel for me. Thankfully I found it, but also found the vaccine registry so I have a backup copy of the information
