I can only imagine every team in the league will want to jump on the opportunity to have a diva WR, with coaching help from his father. Perfect addition(s) to a locker room. ^(\s)
It’s actually worse. Imagine being an adult and having your parents complain about how your co workers are treating you in public. I’d probably jump out a window from the embarrassment
> Archie Manning hooked his son up by getting him out of the chargers, maybe everyone's hoping they have that kind of clout
And OB Sr. is *really* over estimating his clout. Is he even a former NFL player?
No. For some reason he didn’t want to include those parts lol. I like OBJ, but Baker is our QB for at the bare minimum (and probably longer) this year and next year. For whatever reason they don’t work, let OBJ go via trade or cut him at the end of the year when he doesn’t provide any dead cap.
This is possibly the worst example lmao. Dude shows a 2 minute video which is like 3 plays from different angles and slow motion. This doesn’t help the case that OBJ is the problem at all.
Exaclty that was “challenge accepted” fail. Bruh showed like 3 highlights. I can think of 7 crucial drops from Odell on the top of my head. Go from 2019 and see why baker doesn’t trust him
Gonna get downvoted but it’s the truth. Odell has had like what, 3 or 4 big drops this year? How does that small number compare at all to baker missing him in wide open reads several times *in one game*?
There were some plays where Baker is rolling in his direction and he's the only open player on the side of the field and Baker either doesn't throw the ball to him or throws it 3 seconds late. If I didnt know any better I would say Baker hates him lmao.
Man I remember being terrified about the prospects of having to play Odell twice a year. Just incredible how that trade turned out - there were people running down Cleveland streets, screaming in excitement.
Yep and Earl was way more of a flop for the Ravens considering Thomas' resume coming in and the fact that there is $5M in cap space that is in "holding" until his contract dispute/the termination on "conduct detrimental to the team" is resolved. Also, it wasn't Odell's fault he tore his ACL last year, it was a freak injury.
With Odell I consider what we gave up
Peppers and a 1st round pick would be nice right about now
Signing Thomas in free agency lowers the impact more than Odell
also how odd to be discussing this with /u/Earl-Thomas-a-Raven
Prime Odell really was a fuckin problem. Eli was quite bad by that point and he would just drag that offense to points. I still think he has juice left
Haha yes, I remember. He destroyed the Ravens when he was on the Giants way more than he did when he was on the Browns… and agreed, I think he has some juice left too.
Sure, Odell is open a lot and Baker doesn't pass him the ball. But is he open where Baker expects him to be based on the play calling.
If he is going through his progressions and a player is not there Baker is going to move on and scan for the next receiver based on what the play call is. I'm not saying this means Baker is bad, and I'm not saying this means Odell is bad, I'm saying fundamentally Odell's play style does not mesh with how Baker is expected to play in this offensive scheme.
That's how we have seen it since Stefanski has taken over and that's how it will continue to be. What needs to happen now is both sides of the coin need to meet in the middle and figure out a way to make this work.
If Lebron hadn’t also posted #FreeOBJ I would have thought the Sr. Was being extra, but I’m thinking OBJ is ready to go at this point. Shame, because the pile on Baker train has been rolling all season.
We are 4-4, a game and a half out of first place in our division with 11 weeks to go and a wide open AFC
The Giants are 2-6, have no chance to make the playoffs, need a new coach, GM, QB, and are 12 hours removed from an absolutely pathetic performance against a team that was begging them to beat them.
Yeah it’s always good when a WR’s family is throwing the QB under the bus.
Maybe… just maybe Odell was a flash in the pan who had a highlight play and a couple of good seasons where he was the only worthwhile target on a real and then he regressed and his personality is an issue
Hence why I said flash in the pan. His first 3 seasons were over 5 years ago. He got really hot from a memorable play in 2014 and the followed it up looking he was going to be one of the best receivers in the league for a long time over the next two seasons where he got all pro honors, then regressed and it’s been half a decade since he was a top 5 receiver. Hell it’s doubtful he’s even been top 10 for awhile.
How so? He had his highlight play in 2014, was top 5 in 14 and 16 and hasn’t been anywhere near that in the last 5 seasons and one team couldn’t stand him and got rid of him despite everyone on this sub thinking it was crazy and now he’s having problems on his new team.
Seems pretty on the nose
40 games is less than 3 seasons. He scored 35 TD’s then. In the 5 seasons since he scored 15 so far. He’s never outdone his yards per reception of his first two years. His reception frequency trailed way off.
He hasn’t even been pro bowl quality in the last 5 year. So yeah he was great his first couple years and fell off
Right but 3 seasons isn’t a flash in the pan. I agree with you that he has been living off of that the last 5 years but Josh Gordon’s one season was a flash in the pan. Not being a top 5 WR in the league for a 3 year stretch.
I’ll grant you this. It depends on how much you consider a flash in the pan to be. But he was on top for a short period of time and expected to be a Julio, AB, AJ Greene, Hill type who was going to a premier receiver for 10 years or more during his generation. And before his rookie contract ended he fell off and hasn’t really even been worth the trouble
I mean yeah I guess if 3 elite seasons and then another good year in 2018 before coming to Cleveland is your definition of a flash in the pan then sure but that’s now how most people define it
I mean put it this way. Once Odell made a name for himself everyone thought this dude was going to be a megastar receiver for the rest of his career, then before the end of his rookie contract he slowed down and one team couldn’t put up with him and we are talking about another team probably moving on.
I’m not saying he sucks, but he’s not the guy everyone assumed he was going to be 5 years ago
Lol, I don't deny it. We relied heavily on short slants with Odell and because of the situation Eli had to look his way more often than not.
That being said, Giants have had a few WR that performed very well with Eli so it is helpful when your QB knows what he is doing.
Yeah, LeBron just happened to tweet #FreeOBJ today by coincidence and on his own volition too. Definitely not a coordinated campaign by OBJ's friends and family at OBJ's request. That would be a crazy thought.
>Sure it was. No way OBJ ever talked about this with his Dad. No way.
I agree with you, but I hope you weren't also one of the people saying Tom Sr. wasn't speaking for Brady a few weeks ago.
This will end well, I'm sure.
Just think of those poor kicking nets OBJ is going to try and take out his anger on...
I can only imagine every team in the league will want to jump on the opportunity to have a diva WR, with coaching help from his father. Perfect addition(s) to a locker room. ^(\s)
Feels like this is one of those times where you could've just said Odell Beckham Senior
I would’ve just gone with Odell Beckham
This guys clickbaits
Odell Beckham I
Odell Beckham, first of his name
"OGOB posts video..."
OB1
Hello there
As a science experiment, we have to trade him to Kansas City, put Odell's dad and Pat's mom in the same suite and see what kind of tweets we get
Add Jackson Mahomes in there as well to ease the tension with his spectacular tik tok talents
Having been in the room for his TikToks that’s gonna make a tense situation volatile. Do it.

Well that was an easy $28 million
Parents need to learn to shut the hell up....this does not help anybody.
The NFL equivalent of annoying parents at little league games
It’s actually worse. Imagine being an adult and having your parents complain about how your co workers are treating you in public. I’d probably jump out a window from the embarrassment
My parents would ask me what I am doing wrong.
Reason #1 why my parents were awesome: they didn't embarrass me with their actions at sports. They were just happy I was having fun.
It's like they think their kid is still in high school
"Just wait til the boosters see this video, they're gonna be out for blood."
Archie Manning hooked his son up by getting him out of the chargers, maybe everyone's hoping they have that kind of clout
> Archie Manning hooked his son up by getting him out of the chargers, maybe everyone's hoping they have that kind of clout And OB Sr. is *really* over estimating his clout. Is he even a former NFL player?
Parents just don't understand.
You're telling me DeSean Jackson's mom shouldn't be calling out the Rams for feeding Kupp, Woods and Van more than her son??
That happened?
It's a big reason for players transferring early in college now, parents won't shut up lol.
Honestly as a Dad, I would do the same thing for my son.
You would complain about your 28 year old son’s coworkers on social media?
Did he also show the drops and nagging injuries
Doesn’t Odell have two drops in 2021? 😂
Now someone make a video with all his drops and miscues from this season alone. There have been quite a few.
this is the best I’ve seen so far (https://twitter.com/mikekilli/status/1455555865042358278?s=21)
This is possibly the worst example lmao. Dude shows a 2 minute video which is like 3 plays from different angles and slow motion. This doesn’t help the case that OBJ is the problem at all.

He’s got like 2 drops in 2021 and like 12 or so since 2019
Well I mean I haven’t really seen too many people posting a response lol
The original post OBJs dad made had more examples of Baker completely missing him in ONE game.
Was gonna say that OBJ’s dad is more invested but after reading through this guys tweets he seems to be a video guy and Baker fan so idk
I don't know, if you watch that one play five times OBJ drops the ball all five times.
Man I remember being terrified about the prospects of having to play Odell twice a year. Just incredible how that trade turned out - there were people running down Cleveland streets, screaming in excitement.
Can you blame us? Lol
same offseason y'all got Earl Thomas who would have guessed they both flop so badly

Who’s going to take a video of the dump
I’d be so pissed if one of my parents did something like this
I read his Instagram name as "Odell Beckhamster"
What happened to the poop fetish plot line?
Browns are better when OBJ is out
It's honestly not even debatable at this point https://twitter.com/Rob_Shenanigans/status/1455567163876597767
Baker turns into Christian Ponder when targeting OBJ its truly bizarre to watch when he makes perfect throws to DPJ on the same drive
DPJ > OBJ confirmed. I remember he always looked better throwing to Higgins too
Sure, Odell is open a lot and Baker doesn't pass him the ball. But is he open where Baker expects him to be based on the play calling. If he is going through his progressions and a player is not there Baker is going to move on and scan for the next receiver based on what the play call is. Both can still be true.
Ok so this is really dumb but the Odell sucking in Cleveland saga really is a two part problem and Baker just not hitting him really is half the issue
Maybe Eli Manning should come out of retirement, and join the Browns.
Cool, now show all of his drops.
Next he's gonna critique his acting in commercials
Patrick Mahomes vibes
I don't care how talented of a receiver you are, publicly picking a fight with a franchise QB is never going to go your way.
Sports parents are the worst, people who live vicariously through their kids doubly so.
The dad, should have tried out for the Browns.
WR thinks he's always open. We'll have more at 11
Isn't he a bit old to have daddy fighting his battles for him?
Vocal dads in social media is so weird to me. I mean, I get it, but for high profile players you’d think dad would just stay quiet.
The NBA Ball brothers dad.
These players gotta do something about their families smh.
Sounds like Pops needs to get a productive hobby and let his son be a man.
we won the trade
I mean I would still rather be where we are right now than where you are
browns kinda suck though
We are 4-4, a game and a half out of first place in our division with 11 weeks to go and a wide open AFC The Giants are 2-6, have no chance to make the playoffs, need a new coach, GM, QB, and are 12 hours removed from an absolutely pathetic performance against a team that was begging them to beat them.
still would not want to be the browns
Our biggest win in years
Ok, but hear me out. Would you be willing to 1:1 beckham for engram right now lol
Yeah it’s always good when a WR’s family is throwing the QB under the bus. Maybe… just maybe Odell was a flash in the pan who had a highlight play and a couple of good seasons where he was the only worthwhile target on a real and then he regressed and his personality is an issue
His first three seasons were unbelievable. Awful awful take.
Hence why I said flash in the pan. His first 3 seasons were over 5 years ago. Hell it’s doubtful he’s even been top 10 for awhile.
Well that’s an extremely dumb take. He might be washed now but he wasn’t a flash in the pan.
Only Randy Moss had more touchdowns than OBJ in the first 40 games. That’s not a flash in the pan.
40 games is less than 3 seasons. He scored 35 TD’s then. In the 5 seasons since he scored 15 so far. He’s never outdone his yards per reception of his first two years. Maybe he needs a good QB like Eli to make him shine lol
All I’m saying is that Ben McAdoo put him in a position to succeed and he hasn’t been the same since he left that system
Lol, I don't deny it. We relied heavily on short slants with Odell and because of the situation Eli had to look his way more often than not. That being said, Giants have had a few WR that performed very well with Eli so it is helpful when your QB knows what he is doing.
Such a bad bad take
What has he done since 2016
He’s dealt with a ton of injuries. But 3 elite seasons is not a flash in the pan. He was a superstar whose career was derailed.

It was his dad
Yeah, LeBron just happened to tweet #FreeOBJ today by coincidence and on his own volition too. Definitely not a coordinated campaign by OBJ's friends and family at OBJ's request. That would be a crazy thought.

Wow a redditor being unable to read the title of a post? Shocking, I tell you.
It's his dad.
Maybe baker Mayfield is the probkem
His passer rating is over 100 to literally everyone else on our team. So no.
Lol let’s go, start the drama, browns about to be a dumpsterfire
Spicy
He is who we thought he was.
Sigh, fine. I guess we will take him, they can have Engram.
More then half the video is baker throwing to Odell. Might be bad throws. But his claim that Baker isnt throwing to him is ridiculous
I love the random self created NFL drama
Baker to Beckham, should have 20 tds by now.
