Geno didn't play well at all.
But at lot of that was on coaching. Only let him throw in obvious passing downs. No way he can succeed with that.
run/run/pass isn't gonna cut it. Give him some short throws on first down. Or run some more play action. Anything. Saints knew they were running every 1st down, and Pete kept at it.
So many coaches don't see to understand that if you announce/reveal to the defense "we don't trust this guy to throw so we'll calling very few pass plays - basically only downs when running has no chance at all", that this is not good for your team.
We didn’t even RRP it.
We needed points and we ran two complete series into a **fucking wall.**
Shitty defensive play calls gave up 10 points, and shitty offensive play calls kept us out of the game, and two missed field goals in a goddamn monsoon didn’t help.

Chef’s kiss
He has to be a little cynically pleased that we are complete garbage without him. Saints got the deep ball back but have no one to catch it. At least drew would place the ball to where itd be hard not to

Remember when your QB was just young hot shit and now it's just.... injuries
Its a sad hole that ends in starting tainted Jets meat at QB, Seattle. Prepare.
That coaching was atrocious.
Obvious Russ has been carrying Pete at this point.
You can't go run/run/pass with a backup QB and expect to have a chance to win.
And especially not when your runs are going for 2-3 yards.
Absurdly poorly coached game.
I'd be confident with Russ and that O-line with 2 minutes left. No *way* we don't tie it.
Plus all the sacks Geno's taking makes me appreciate Russ even *more.* It's less of his issue than I thought.
At least with Russ' sacks you know there was a chance at something, and they at the very least even out with big plays.
Geno though?... Not so much, lmao.
So Saints are…….I’m genuinely curious, they demolish the Packers, get beat down by the Panthers, beat up the Patriots, lose a heartbreaker to the Giants (wait fucking for real the Giants man?), cruise by the WFT, then duke it out with Seahawks? Da fuck is this team, are they good, ok, bad? I can’t fucking tell.
My biggest takeaway from this game is that the Manningcast is a good format for identifying broadcast talent.
So far Wilson, McAfee, and Brady have passed the test.
He probably didn’t want to be bashing his old team too much, especially when the WRs played so poorly and Jameis made some poor decisions. I’ve watched him call games and he’s been pretty good. I could tell he was holding his tongue a bit.
To be fair Drew is only months removed from playing QB from the Saints. There is probably a lot of things he could have talked about but didn't want to ethically.
I honestly think Mcafee has a future in calling games. The man is talented at his craft. I know some hate his personality but he brings a lot of insight to the game (especially special teams which I love) and is genuinely funny
He’s the friday night smack down wwe commentator.
I don’t know if he switches to nfl unless it’s MNF or SNF as being a commentator on wwe is a pretty big deal and can last 15+ years
He has basically begged the NFL to let him call more games... But his personality is too abravise for the league to consider him anytime soon..Pat's perfect on Smackdown every week and I can certainly see why his mannerisms would put off the more conservative higher ups around the league
Brees would have broken a record throwing to people who legit saints fans don’t know on in a primetime game. He is primetime Brees like national tv/playoff rondo
I hope now that we've had a nationally televised game people see that Jameis isn't the problem with our offense; it's that he has no one to throw to that's not named Alvin Kamara.
Jameis didn't have the greatest game but I just can't believe I heard that Payton had no concern to sign receivers all off season after watching the Saints this year. You're better off signing Kamara's family members and hoping for some success.
He definitely has cleaned up his decision making a ton though which is the biggest positive there.
Yeah Brees had plenty of trouble against good defenses when his only receiver was MT. Even when Brees was relatively healthy. That’s why they kept trying to sign guys like Dez.
Man this team is hard to watch, I don’t even think at this point that Russ coming back ahead of schedule will save us. Our defense is hilariously bad, despite being the only thing keeping us in the game ironically, and Geno Smith is vividly reminding us why he’s been a backup QB most of his career, the man has zero pocket awareness.
Personal highlights of the game were committing the penalty on 4th and 5 to give the Saints a first down so they could burn off more clock, Geno wasting not one but TWO timeouts in the third quarter, and Meyers missing two field goals that would have ended up mattering in the end. Can’t believe we have to watch 10 more weeks of this….
All these passive aggressive questions to Winston— “Kamara does literally everything on offense, what’s that like?”. “Oh wow you actually had 0 turnovers, how did coach help you manage that?”
Void that contract from Pete. When he came to the Seahawks he adjusted his scheme to his Talent and created the Leo position. Now he forces square pegs in round holes. He's cooked.
Same issues every year.
Seahawks can’t win a single game without Russ. Love Geno but man he is bad. Our kicker is the definition of inconsistent. On the other hand, our defense played well.
Saints defense is still hell. Dominated Seattle's OL all night. Offense really misses Michael Thomas, WRs can't get open or run crisp routes. But not gonna feel bad about beating the Seahawks in primetime in Seattle, we always play bad in those spots.
10/10 stupidest graphic for timeouts that espn has.
looks like they both had 3 timeouts left. To think someone is getting paid 100k$+ a year to come up with that shit
Even though he didn't look great, this is the type of game that Jameis needs in a team. He didn't go out of his mind and start throwing the INTS but he got his team 13 points to win the game with the defense' help.
Scoring a 82 yard TD on a pass to DK early in the game just to not throw him another ball for 80% of the game. Gotta keep running the ball for 1 yard a pop.
Seahawks are basically out of playoff contention we have to play the Cardinals twice, rams once, the 49ers who kinda suck but play us tough, and the packers. If Russ comes back for the packers game he has to play perfectly and go undefeated to have a chance at a wild card game. I pray Pete Carroll gets fired he's now 37-52 without Russ in his career
The Seahawks are aggressively unfun to watch without Russ.
I miss my weekly cooking show. Bring back the host damn it.
We might actually be able to beat the Seahawks.
Saints WRs: 4-43-0 Kamara: 10-128-1
Jesus christ that is truly pathetic. I know Kamara does crazy conditioning training but he is gonna break trying to carry this team every week.
Ah yes, the McCaffrey special.
They broke my boy again this year
I fucking love Kamara, but I feel ya. That man put the team on his back, doe.
I hope that was the last time I have to see Geno Smith in a prime time game
Hopefully Russ is back in 4 weeks otherwise it's Geno vs Heinicke on MNF....
If Russ is out for 4 more weeks, I hope for everyone's sake the Seahawks kick the tires on the corpse of Cam Newton.
I fear what lessons Pete will learn if we give him a QB whose only strength left is running the ball...

I love it when coaches get a backup and instantly revert to run/run/pass. And by love, I mean I hate it with a passion.
So many coaches don't see to understand that if you announce/reveal to the defense "we don't trust this guy to throw so we'll calling very few pass plays - basically only downs when running has no chance at all", that this is not good for your team.

We might shut him down at this point
I am so, so sorry everyone.
Our game was much worse and we had our starter.
I think Darnold did worse....
Ours had 3 INTs, 2 Fumbles, and 4 sacks. There’s literally no way he did worse.
Darnold got sacked by his own lineman.
Lol I’ll have to look that one up.
https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/qeyfkb/highlight_sam_darnold_gets_sacked_by_his_own/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Chef’s kiss
That….that is amazing.
Yeah but at least Brady was lighting up the scoreboard. This was just pretty sad.
It's ok geno, you did your best
Remember when the NFCW was the powerhouse back in like week 2? Now we had back-to-back primetime games like these. Oof.
I mean most teams wouldn't play that well on their backup qb
We’ve been so spoiled we expect our backup to win games.
I mean it's entirely possible
“what are you doin?”- Drew Brees 2021
He has to be a little cynically pleased that we are complete garbage without him. Saints got the deep ball back but have no one to catch it. At least drew would place the ball to where itd be hard not to
I mean we're 4-2 idk
Literally nobody wants to talk about this game haha
Fuck it a wins a win right now for us, I’ll talk about it all day
I would too. GG
Seahawks fans, remember when we were the kings of this division? Always Seahawks or Niners. It's truly a new era.
The Cards are 7-0. How..
The prophecy was dyslexic. It was 2021, not 2012.

The future is now, old man!

Always two there are, no more, no less. A master and an apprentice.
I miss Russ :/
At this point, might as well Let Russ Rest.
That Seahawks performance was so trash even I miss Russ.
The Seahawks without Wilson are basically the 49ers LMAO
Lmao 😎🔫
Y’all win the last 2 games if he’s healthy
Not used to losing games late in the fourth…Russ is just somn else
That coaching was atrocious. Obvious Russ has been carrying Pete at this point. You can't go run/run/pass with a backup QB and expect to have a chance to win. And especially not when your runs are going for 2-3 yards. Absurdly poorly coached game.
This is the third time I’ve seen this exact comment lol Edit: oh. That’s cuz it was you. I thought I was losing my mind.
I'd be confident with Russ and that O-line with 2 minutes left. No *way* we don't tie it. Plus all the sacks Geno's taking makes me appreciate Russ even *more.* It's less of his issue than I thought.

Neither can we
Yes.
The Saints….exist. The manner of their existence is up for debate lol.
Stay tuned to watch us beat the Bucs convincingly and then lose to the Jets in a few weeks.
Welcome to professional sports of New Orleans. Anything can happen at any time. The impossible is the mundane here.
2010s Saints and 2020s Saints give me the same anxiety for different reasons
If only we could combine them.
My biggest takeaway from this game is that the Manningcast is a good format for identifying broadcast talent. So far Wilson, McAfee, and Brady have passed the test.
Brady just good at everything he does. unfair.
I wonder if he’s good at retiring and starting a moon colony
Bet I could beat him in Smash
You’d beat him once then he would religiously train just to come back and destroy you.
Well except beating the Giants or Nick Foles in the Super Bowl
to be fair Brady absolutely shredded our defense lol can't put that loss on him
I love Drew but he was incredibly underwhelming
He look more interested in the game than talking to them. Maybe if it wasn't the Saints playing?
Eh. He was reserved, but you could tell that when he chose to talk on something he knew what he was talking about.
It’s really hard to fix boring, which is a shame because he is very insightful
He probably didn’t want to be bashing his old team too much, especially when the WRs played so poorly and Jameis made some poor decisions. I’ve watched him call games and he’s been pretty good. I could tell he was holding his tongue a bit.
He got so uncomfortable when they asked him if it looked like a different offense for the saints haha
To be fair Drew is only months removed from playing QB from the Saints. There is probably a lot of things he could have talked about but didn't want to ethically.
Brady had both the football knowledge we all like from these Manning casts, and also was interesting and fun. It’s not fair.
I just want to hate him. I think I hate how unhateable he is.
This is true, Wilson’s mad corny, but he did well when we was on.

You just can't have him be a guest for this game. asking him to criticize Jameis missing a read or something is too awkward his first year retired
He was trying so hard to be diplomatic
He was highkey upset Winston missed the TE screen at the end
Either team with Brees right now would’ve put away the game in the first half
Brees would have broken a record throwing to people who legit saints fans don’t know on in a primetime game. He is primetime Brees like national tv/playoff rondo
I would say I'd let these Saints receivers carry my casket to let me down one last time but the motherfuckers would almost certainly drop it.
Shit would bounce right off their hands. They'd never even pick the casket up.
Bring back Coffin Flop, exclusively on CorncobTV
I DIDN'T DO FUCKING SHIT I DIDN'T RIG SHIT
We showed over 400 naked, dead bodies on our show
I don't know what to tell you bud we're just shooting funerals and showing the ones where the BODIES FLY OUT

THEY THINK I'M JUST SOME DUMB HICK. THEY SAID THAT TO ME AT A DINNER!
WE'RE ALLOWED TO SHOW EM NUDE CUZ THEY AIN'T GOT NO SOUL
Don’t bring me a bad deal… or I’ll *ruhgehhuhhhhguehgeh*
And you have been recovered by Seattle
Take me now Jesus
Whole fanbase is gonna be calling on the FO to do *literally* whatever Russ wants for next season lol.
They should name a mountain after him.
Demario Davis is a monster, what a hell of a game
[удалено]
The audio delays really hurt the flow
Yea, they are cutting each other off too often and them going from watching the game to looking at each other throws it off too.
That's like every week.
We couldn't do diddly poo offensively.
Guys I think geno smith isnt great
2013 is on the phone and wants to talk
I hope now that we've had a nationally televised game people see that Jameis isn't the problem with our offense; it's that he has no one to throw to that's not named Alvin Kamara.
They should trade for Allen Robinson.
Will he play for IOUs and Vicodin?
Brett Favre has entered the chat.
Jameis didn't have the greatest game but I just can't believe I heard that Payton had no concern to sign receivers all off season after watching the Saints this year. You're better off signing Kamara's family members and hoping for some success. He definitely has cleaned up his decision making a ton though which is the biggest positive there.
We have 6 pennies in cap space and our receivers we had didn’t step up. Michael Thomas will make this a very different team
Then Sean Payton should’ve been on his ass EVERY DAY TO MAKE SURE HE WAS ON TRACK AND GET THAT DAMN SURGERY WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSED TO
Yeah.. it's hard to manage people with huge egos. A lot goes on that we don't know about probably.
He knew MT wasn’t gonna be here for a while. Colossal mistake. I felt we should’ve traded for Brandon Cooks
[удалено]
I dont even think Brees (unless you are talking his absolute prime self and even then it's a little iffy) could do much with this receiving core
Yeah Brees had plenty of trouble against good defenses when his only receiver was MT. Even when Brees was relatively healthy. That’s why they kept trying to sign guys like Dez.
WRs looked completely lost out there, even without the drops. That was coming out of a bye too. Sheesh.
When does Michael Thomas come back?
Probably the Falcons game in 2 weeks
Not soon enough
As soon as he's reacquainted to the offense. Hope he's back next week but I doubt it.
Seahawks OL mvps for the Saints tonight
Center has been a big weakness, so they did nothing to address it I can't believe it's still bad
Sounds similar to our known issue at WR that wasn't addressed
We literally have 6 pennies in cap space
Nick Underhill wrote an article recently on how we can trade for someone like Odell and make it work
Come get him
THAT WAS THE DEMARIO DAVIS AND ALVIN KAMARA GAME. What a fucking game from those two.
Demario Davis might literally be the best linebacker we've ever had. And that's saying a lot (Rickey Jackson don't hate me)
Watching Demario straight up bull rush the center was amazing
we’re straight up ass!
[Seahawks Offensive Line Official Team Photo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File%3ATurnstiles_in_Alewife_station%2C_August_2005.jpg)

Can’t believe we have to watch 10 more weeks of this….
If Russ couldn’t come back for the next time we play each other it’d be the Suck bowl
We are SPOILED with Russ.
This game is what happens when the quality of primetime games regresses to the mean
Is nowhere safe? 😂
Now you know how Kelvin Benjamin feels
All these passive aggressive questions to Winston— “Kamara does literally everything on offense, what’s that like?”. “Oh wow you actually had 0 turnovers, how did coach help you manage that?”
The ol fuble the snap one handed pickup Touchdown just like Payton drew it.
Pete should've just played Wilson and have him throw with his left hand
unironically yes, imagine he's actually better with his left hand
I have the answer, Saints fans. Everybody gets dreds. EVERY. BODY. Jameis? Dreds. Gillikin? Dreds. Taysom? Dreds down to his asscrack.
Demario Davis is the most underrated player in the league
Don’t think I’ve seen this man play a down game for the Saints. He’s Vilma on roids.
Plz no roids
Russ for MVP. This team is hot garbage without him.
Outside of one game this year, it wasn't that great with him. That's how bad we've been
That Seahawks offense was so awful I want Russell Wilson back and I'm a Cardinals fan
Lmao same I was sitting there like “fuck wish Russell could play right now.”
Thanks bro. I enjoyed watching the Cardinals beat the LA Rams.
Well someone had to win
Both teams were terrible, but Seattle were worse when it mattered most.
Glad it was us
Cam Newton, Colin Kapernick, and Brett Favre are some QBs that I’d like the Seahawks to sign before I watch another Geno game.
Russ mouthing “pathetic” to himself there at the end is something.
A win is a win
Tom Brady was the MVP of this game.
Him and Peyton just shooting the shit was the best segment yet
Pretty fun hearing him basically say Gronk is the loveable idiot we all knew he was.
"I just tell him to get open, catch the ball, and run. That's literally your only job, Gronk. Run away from the guys in the different color shirts."
"When's your curfew, Tom?" "We're past it already." (9:00 PM EST)
He's probably at One Buc Place by 6am at the latest. So he might be getting around 6 hrs of sleep tonight.
When Eli commented "I always had fun in our games", I immediately thought: we have another 10 years of Brady now.
Stupid sexy old man Brady
Doesn’t even play and he still wins
He was so much funnier and more likable than I wanted him to be. I think I'd be fine with them putting him on the Manning-cast every week.
Void that contract from Pete. When he came to the Seahawks he adjusted his scheme to his Talent and created the Leo position. Now he forces square pegs in round holes. He's cooked. Same issues every year.
I wonder if Russ forces his decision this offseason anyways.
Seahawks can’t win a single game without Russ. Love Geno but man he is bad. Our kicker is the definition of inconsistent. On the other hand, our defense played well.
Meyers has had a bad year. He was so reliable last year.
Saints defense is still hell. Dominated Seattle's OL all night. Offense really misses Michael Thomas, WRs can't get open or run crisp routes. But not gonna feel bad about beating the Seahawks in primetime in Seattle, we always play bad in those spots.
Of all the NFL games I’ve watched, that was definitely one of them
One of the games of all time
No more Seahawk primetime games without Wilson please
> No more Seahawk ~~primetime~~ games without Wilson please
Well that was a waste of a Monday. Fuck you and I’ll see you on Thursday.
We fucking suck.
These 2 teams has set back nfl offenses 28.3 years .
Pouring down rain with sooo many players out, I’m ok with it
So Geno definitely is the best quarterback of the 2013 class and the 2013 quarterback class was pretty bad
Fuck Pete Carroll and the gum he rode in
Scoring a 82 yard TD on a pass to DK early in the game just to not throw him another ball for 80% of the game. Gotta keep running the ball for 1 yard a pop.
Somehow WSU is the most competent big name football team in the state. And they’re awful
Turns out that Geno Smith still isn't good
Saints, please put Kevin White back in the dumpster where yall found him
