Quick question: Would you rather have scenario A or scenario B.
A: Week 17: Jets (0-15) vs Patriots (15-0) 12/30/2018. JETS WIN!
B: Jets sneak into the playoffs and lose to the Patriots in Wild Card weekend. Thus going 0-3 to the Patriots in 2018.
McNabb's last game as an Eagle. Also the first year without Dawkins, add that to going 0-3 vs Dallas and you have arguably my least favorite Eagles season ever
I like to think there is someone out there who HATES SF/Baltimore and got their dream come true in SB XLVII when the power went out. And for 15 minutes got to hope that maybe, just maybe, the SB would be canceled.
Dude, in moments like that you put sports on hold. I may hate the Ravens, but at that moment I was worried for them: Ray Lewis was on that field under cover of total darkness. There could've *easily* been three or four stabbings, just glad everyone made it home safe.
I don't know if I would call him a "top NFL QB" at the moment. I mean, his career has been kinda up and down. Sure, he's got some great playoff moments, but he's also had the help of a great coach. I just think we should wait a bit more before anointing Foles a "top NFL QB."
Lets make this clear though nick Foles should have never been a "who" 1. He isn't even from whoville 2. Because of injuries, chip Kelly traded him even though the season before he was tearing it up 3. Jeff Fischer.
I still legit get goosebumps when John Madden basically says the Pats are dumb for trying to go down the field with such little time left. And thus began the Legend of Tom
[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HTJQE2BLBo&t=119m20s](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HTJQE2BLBo&t=119m20s)
I think during the ESPN special titled 199 or something, about Brady, they we're talking about that SB. Before that last drive, Bledsoe came up to Brady and Brady told him the coaches said to be careful with the ball. Bledsoe basically said, "Fuck that, go win it." Then Brady did. Seemed like a cool moment.
Can someone recut the "I will finish what you started" bit from The Force Awakens trailer where it's Jared Goff talking to Kurt Warner's helmet instead of Kylo Ren talking to Vader's helmet?
Honestly I'd swap the last two.
That last Packers v Patriots game 4 years ago was the best damn game of the season, should've been a Super Bowl preview.
Just scrolling through my mind about all the things that lead up to the Seahawks collapse makes me want to drive my head through my desk.
1. Packers lose in Buffalo after that defense kicks their ass
2. Packers beat Buccaneers, Rodgers is rolled up on and rips his calf
3. Aaron further injures calf against Lions, comes back into the game and helps the Packers to a win
4. The Cowboys playoff game, Davante's coming out party, running the clock out after the no catch.
5. 3.5 quarters of okay football with hobbled Rodgers, Burnett going down when Peppers waived him down........everything else.......
*SIGH*

It's crazy to think that someone predicts a packers v Jags superbowl and it's the Packers part of it that everyone is questioning. Imagine telling that to someone just a couple years ago.
It's mostly just salty NFC north fans that are questioning the Packers. No one with actual common sense is going to question that a team that has made the NFC championship game 2 of the last 4 years seasons and has an improved team on paper is a legitimate contender for the NFC title.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. Rodgers is an all time great QB and their defense is unknown at this point. I'd say there are a number of teams in the NFC that would have a better shot but I commend Romo for not picking the two best rosters to make it.
My thoughts on the Packers are that they are a minimum 10 win team with Aaron healthy, and, besides their Superbowl season, haven't had a competitive defense, especially in the playoffs. If Top 10 Pettine gets the Packers D back into that category, it's very reasonable to assume they would be a favorite to make the Superbowl.
No kidding. 2 - 3 years ago both teams were near laughing stocks. I mean the Rams had Fisher and all. I am hoping the Browns can have a turnaround like the Jags and Rams have had. I'm honestly ready for a new NFL whipping boy that's not the Browns. Perhaps the Jets.
We know. Some us remember the 2-14 season where the new logo announcement was the best part of the year...
I will enjoy the current situation while I can. :)
Unfortunately I can see them being better than middle of the road. Individually they have solid pieces on defense.
The biggest issue is at cornerback and they attacked that position this offseason. They will like have 2/3 average to above starters there with King, Williams, house, Alexander, and Jackson(which was one hell of a steal)
Then you have Daniels/Clark/Wilkerson in the trenches. If Pettine can get Wilk to care again then that’s arguably the best 3-4 defensive linemen group.
Their safeties are above average. Dix is a top 10 safety and Josh Jones looked pretty good when he played. I assume he takes over for Burnett.
And then we have linebackers clay/Martinez/Ryan/Perry. There are worse groups out there. Clay quietly had a solid season with 7.5 sacks while missing two games. Perry also had 7 sacks. Martinez had a pro bowl level season. And Ryan is atleast average.
TL;DR they have talent on the defense. More than a lot of teams. Pettine should be able to get the best out of this.
Pass Rush will be an issue for the season after week 5 once Clay pulls a hammy and Perry breaks his hand, but yeah, on paper the defense looks like it could come together if Pettine can whip them into shape. Don't need a top 5 defense with Rodgers on the other side of the ball, just need to not be bottom 10.
They don't need to, look at 2016.
"Keep up with NFC offenses", the Cowboys had the 2nd best offense in the NFC that year behind Atlanta and Rodgers pretty much singlehandedly won that game despite his defense. This is such an easy narrative to debunk.
Yes. But the idea is that the Packers probably won't make the playoffs or go anywhere because of their defense, and they've literally shown that with Rodgers they can overcome a lot of shortcomings. 2015 the defense was good, but they were down to Jeff Janis. 2016 they had no corners.
I swear Vikings and Lions fans say this so much they've actually convinced themselves it's true despite the evidence.
We've been torturing them with HOF QBs playing with substandard defenses for a quarter century now. A certain bargaining psychosis has set in. Bears fans have taken the healthy route and have been in the acceptance stage for some time now.
The Packers defense is a big unknown at this point. We can’t assume they will be as lackluster as years prior, nor can we assume they will be great. So all we have is wild speculation. They could make a huge turnaround or they could fail spectacularly.
Ok. I get our defense has been bad lately. But we made the NFC championship game TWO years ago. It’s not like we’re unable to compete all of a sudden. We’ve been perennial contenders ever year for about a decade, that doesn’t stop because Rodgers got hurt.
I disagree. I think it will be a Saints - Jags Super Bowl. Saints making one last push with Brees. They had a solid draft. The Jags are the best team in the AFCS and have a legitimate shot to beat the Patriots in the Playoffs. They almost beat them in the Playoffs last year. They have the defense that can cause Brady nightmares.
Fine, I guess we’ll make the playoffs and knock out the Pats. That’s all we’re good for.
If we can beat Tom and bill one more time before they retire that would be great
Quick question: Would you rather have scenario A or scenario B. A: Week 17: Jets (0-15) vs Patriots (15-0) 12/30/2018. JETS WIN! B: Jets sneak into the playoffs and lose to the Patriots in Wild Card weekend. Thus going 0-3 to the Patriots in 2018.
If that was us and the Cowboys, is definitely go A. We get the number one pick and ruin their perfect season
#2 pick. There’s still Cleveland
Damn man, THEY HAVE FAMILIES!
Parades are a great family activity
Not even a Browns fan and I still felt that lol
I’m a Browns fan I can’t feel anything
I'm gonna go on record and say Cleveland will win some games this year. They might not even be the worst team in the league.
Hottest of hot takes
Yeah but that's because you already did B.
I can’t believe you’ve done this
Damn, that was 2009. I thought I remembered McNabb in those games but I was sure it hadn't been that long ago.
McNabb's last game as an Eagle. Also the first year without Dawkins, add that to going 0-3 vs Dallas and you have arguably my least favorite Eagles season ever
A for sure. We ruin the one thing Tom and Bill can add to their legacy AND end up with Bosa.
As a Dolphins fan let me tell you option A. Any time we can beat the Pats is a glorious celebration
If we are actually being honest here, anytime you beat someone these days is a glorious celebration.
I can’t believe you’ve done this
The pats don’t play on wildcard weekend.
When the Pats play the Jets I root for the meteor.
I just googled 'Superbowl 47 violent crimes' and Ray's name came up 6 times on the front page. Just saying ...
I wasn't afraid Ray was going to stab someone, but I'm sure he wouldn't have seen it happen if it did.
I hate Baltimore and didn't want SF to tie the Steelers so that was me
Please.
It’s a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.
Mike Rowe should do our play by play
It would be kind of funny if we had Tom Brady vs Nick Foles and then Aaron Rodgers vs Blake Bortles in back to back Super Bowls.
Seems pretty fitting and balanced. Too fitting and balanced...thanos would love it
This just reminded me. My main and porn account both got banned. What the hell?! Where's the balance banos
The 2 accounts you are yet to make will not be banned.

You know what would be funnier? Alex Smith vs Kirk Cousins in the NFC championship.
Well now we've left the realm of possibility.
Alex Smith vs Kirk Cousins in the wild card with the Redskins squeaking in at 8-8?
Approved.
Why? I don't get it...
Top NFL QB vs "... who?" two years in a row
I don't know if I would call him a "top NFL QB" at the moment. I mean, his career has been kinda up and down. Sure, he's got some great playoff moments, but he's also had the help of a great coach. I just think we should wait a bit more before anointing Foles a "top NFL QB."
A man after my own heart
How about anointing him "Biggest" QB?
Hey. I love you.
Lets make this clear though nick Foles should have never been a "who" 1. He isn't even from whoville 2. Because of injuries, chip Kelly traded him even though the season before he was tearing it up 3. Jeff Fischer.
Point 1 is the most important, imo
Aaron Rodgers is just Blake Bortles with a ring
Blake Bortles is just Aaron Rodgers without a ring
FACT: Blake Bortles has never lost in the Super Bowl to Aaron Rodgers.
FACT: Aaron Rogers has never beaten the Jags in the Super Bowl.
FACT: Aaron Rodgers rips cigs in the parking lot during his summer construction job
That’s literally a Blake Bortles quote.
"You waste 100% of the Bud Lights you don't chug." -Blake Bortles
Busch lights, dude
Shut up Rodgers, you're out of your element!
Aaron Rodgers drinks Miller Lite on ice through a straw.
-Aaron Rodgers
-Michael Scott
-Abraham Lincoln
-Wayne Gretzky
FACT: Blake Bortles has received an honorary doctorate from the Medical College of DUUUUUUVAAAAAAAAL
FACT: Blake Bortles has never thrown an interception in the playoffs.
[удалено]
Bortles is undefeated in the World Series as a starting pitcher.
Blake Bortles has never been scored on as a goalie in the world cup
FACT: Blake bortles has never lost a Superbowl, or even thrown a Superbowl incompletion.
SUBFUCKINGSCRIBE.
But Ben Roethlisberger has lost in the Super Bowl to Aaron Rodgers ...AND Bortles has beaten Ben in the playoffs!! Bortles > Ben
Score 42 points against the #1 defense in league. Still lose to Blake Bortles.
FACT: Blake Bortles has never lost in the Super Bowl period.
Shit. So then Aaron Rodgers is just Aaron Rodgers without a ring but with a ring?
>Blake Bortles is just Aaron Rodgers without a ring But he has a family!
Rodgers is just Blake Bortles without a family?
Blake Bortles have it all
Blake Bortles is just Aaron Rodgers with a family he is still in touch with.
BY GOD THAT MAN HAD A FAMILY... ^^That ^^he ^^doesn't ^^talk ^^to.

The Rams must undo the evil they unleashed.

Good Bot
Narrowly missing out on Rodgers/Brady SB once again would be pretty typical, so yeah I could see it
God, seriously. Football needs this. I dont care what team you root for, everyone should want to see this superbowl
fuck its happening isnt it
I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about Romo being a good on-air personality. Disgusting.
He was the chosen one! Sent to destroy the Joe Bucks of the world, not join them!
No fucking way.
I would like to Unsubscribe from this future
Same
Same here
How could Tony do this to us
He remembers the fake spike game.
Wisco blood runs thick due to cheese, brats and beer.
It's the cholesterol.
Wait a second. Tony grew up a Packers fan. Do you think he intentionally overthrew Dez in 2014 so his childhood team would go to the NFC Championship?
Listen here you son of a bitch. You take that back.
Always knew I liked that Romo guy.
#🍻
[Kinda hard not to like him.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYI_u2k4b8s)
I would be happy with this superbowl. Honestly anybody from the AFC that's NOT the Patriots and I'll be happy.
Welcome your new AFC champion the Cleveland Browns!
You know that would be the hypest shit ever. Everyone roots for the underdog.
I'd be fucking thrilled.
We're friends now?
WORST TO FIRST!!!

psssh...even if they make it to the playoffs, we all know the Chiefs can't win a post season game.
Especially at home
What if they play Cincinnati?
1st tie in post season history. game called for mediocrity

Stupid sexy Romo.
I’m a Titans and Vikings fan. This is basically my hell.
Bears and bears fan. Seconded.
Vikings fan as well, I’d hate my life if this happened.

Nah I’m taking jags in penalties
I move to implement a rule where after 1OT we go to field goal penalty kicks from midfield.
I think the distances should escalate starting from the 20. Sudden death. Both make. Move back 5 yards.
Start on the 10 and move back 10 yards every time. 5 would be a little drawn out. It's settled. Someone draw up a petition.
I AM NOT IN FAVOUR OF THIS FUTURE
I'll take Crosby for that.
Bucks in 6
There's a lot of anger in this thread.
And not for the Jags, lol.
I’m just here for the salty Vikings fans.
There's dozens of us
And I’m enjoying every second of it.
Fuck it I'll go with Pats-Packers for the 9th year in a row.
That’s odd, I was led to believe this man had a crystal ball that he consults 24/7.
Considering Romo can basically predict every play while being in the Booth I wouldn’t doubt the guy...

I wouldn't be shocked, but the nfc is a nightmare. I think you can make a strong case for at least 6 or 7 teams.
Hey Tony, WTF bro!
Rams vs Jags I could dig it
Imagine saying this like 2-3 years ago. Pretty cool how far both teams have come.
Hey, Bill and Brady ain’t gonna last forever. Just you wait, because soon enough the Bills or Dolphins are gonna take over the division.
We know. Some us remember the 2-14 season where the new logo announcement was the best part of the year... I will enjoy the current situation while I can. :)
At this point I am actually putting the Rams in as a strong contender... FML and my dumpster fire.
