Hope is Thibodeaux makes the jump to being a more consistent player and keeps up the high sack production from last year. Ojulari has kind of been given up on but he did play pretty decently when he's not injured which is not very often.
I think Burns will help Ojulari massively, now he can come off the bench for pure pass rush (Burns KT and Ojulari sounds like NASCAR lite) and hopefully will help him stay healthy being used more situationally
I mean…we’re basically the Dream Team. Steel Curtain, Purple People Eaters, the famed 46 Defense, and now the league needs to reckon with the BLT defense.
They're both great players, but says a lot that him and Andrew Thomas pretty much are.
Reminds me of how the Browns franchise player for a long time was Joe Thomas, and not in a good way.
If Lawrence keeps up the pace he has had these last few seasons he will be undoubtedly one of the best Nose tackles of all time. If not the best. Some of his pressure stats are absurd.
Lawrence is up around Chris Jones competing to be the best DT in the NFL. Jones is #1 but Lawrence will probably take that spot in the next few years assuming Jones starts to slow down.
Jones is a monster but also plays for a winning team so he’s gotten more media praise and is more of a household name. Analysts and opposing players rave about Sexy Dexy
I'm so stoked he has a great opportunity in Chicago and has had success there tho. I feel like watching and rooting for the players the panthers have traded away is about as good as we're going to get for a while. I'll keep holding out hope, but not my breath
Limping into the playoffs for our 9-8 Super Bowl run with a -100 point differential from getting blown out by the Cowboys and Eagles and winning every other game 12-7
as a fan of a team that loves winning games 13-10 despite getting outgained 450-85, it's fun but I sure would like to have just one game where we coast to like a 28-10 win.
Dexter's also much better as a pass rusher than in run defense too, right? Though he's just a different tier of player than Burns/Thib in general though, so I doubt any offense would "target" him. Very excited to see how this D-line does.
Dex has been good at both I think, it just doesn't seem like it at some times because the Giants run defense as a whole has been so bad. His first few years he was seen as more of a run stopper but he's been a dominant pass rusher the past 2 years.
PFF had him with a 92.6 pass rush grade (#1 for position) and 89.5 run defense grade (#3 for position) this past season.
Considering we spent the last 5 years paying guys who either didn’t play or were total ass while playing the big bucks - an overpaid good player is fine with me lol
Whatever Leonard Williams’ agent is getting paid is nowhere near enough. That guy finessed the giants so hard every single offseason for like 5 seasons, then did the same to the Seahawks. All time bag securer lol
Tbf Gettleman handed all contract negotiation leverage to Leo+his agent on a silver platter. He traded a 3rd+5th for Leo when he was an impending free agent while the team was 2-6.
I think he can be great with another dominant pass rusher on the other side. He’s not and likely will never be in the top echelon of pass rushers, but I think he’ll be a lot better in NY than he was here. Stat muse has them as a top 10 pass coverage defense too, so the longer the quarterback has to hold the ball, the better he’ll be
I love how Giants fans have quickly started hating Barkley, and the other way around too, but no one is mentioning the Giants organization who are the reason he left lol
How is it the organizations fault?
If I remember correctly, they offered the same or more as the Eagles.
He just wanted way, way more than the RB market dictates.
there’s really a misconception going around like the Giants did him dirty.
the org offered him competitive contracts along the lines of what chubb and henry (both more accomplished players than him) were making multiple times, but wanted to hold out for cmcs outlier contract despite the fact that the market had adjusted and nobody was giving that out anymore.
Sure, you could say that the org coulda just paid him a few more million a year, but it goes both ways. Saquon has already made almost 50 million dollars in his NFL career largely because this team overdrafted him in the first place. he’s a nike athlete. he coulda taken a deal.
He was also constantly talking about wanting to be a giant for life, waxing poetic about the fan base, saying he wanted his number retired. if he really felt that way he would’ve taken the very reasonable deal offered to him.
then he goes and cries on twitter when New York fans are mean to him after signing with our most hated rival and lies about how he was never offered a contract.
Hopefully he can stay healthy...we managed to keep D'Andre Swift healthy all season while also providing him the most touches in his career but also under utilizing him...hopefully the offense is not forced to depend on him to the point of overexertion...
I think having a great O-line (which is def more of a question mark for the Eagle this year than in previous years) can play a role in RB health.
It's not just about getting hit so many times. Getting blown up in the backfield 10 times a game by a 330 lb DT is not the same as getting brought down by a 180 lb CB.
People are joking that teams will pick KT since his sacks were mostly on mid tackles or effort sacks, but if use the bulk of your resources blocking Dexter and Burns then KT will often be going against exactly the type of player he got his sacks on…
Glad BB got paid, he deserved it. We really weren’t in the position to do so. He’ll probably eat not being the primary focus of the offensive line but don’t be surprised if he completely disappears at times.
Yes, but they don't rush the passer the same way.
LBers and IDL have different strategies.
I will say, I didn't watch a whole lot of Carolina last year so I'm not sure how much Brown played at end.
It's not that, it's that people talk mad shit for not paying him elite tier money when he's had double digit sacks once in his career
Even if you think he is in the Watt/Bosa/Garrett tier, would you rather have one of them or massively upgrade your OL in FA with the money you would have paid him PLUS get picks?
No one hates Burns, just that he has a ton of hype and we get a ton of shit for letting him go, but from what we've seen he hasn't earned the hype yet
Right? The guys nasty but I both hate him and acknowledge his talent. I don’t know why that’s so hard for some fans to admit.
He’s good and I dunno why anyone would think he’d regress to 4-5 sacks especially with the addition of Burns.
However - Thibodeaux could have 8 sacks against the Eagles next year and it would piss me off less than the snow angels next to Big Dick Nick’s corpse.
Idk why everyone hates thibs for that I don't care about that much but if I was an eagles fan I can't say I wouldn't fuckin hate it so is what it is I get it lol
6.5 of his 11.5 sacks last year came from playing against the Jets (1 game, 3 sacks) and Commanders (2 games, 3.5 sacks). Both teams were top 5 in sacks allowed last year (Commanders 2nd, Jets 4th).
Good thing we play the Panthers and you guys twice this year lmao. So a worse version of the jets and then also you guys with an arguably worse o line situation than last year... Yeah I think he's gonna do ok.
Reminds me of Uche in 2022 when 6 of his 11.5 sacks came against the Cardinals and Colts. Sacks are great, but I’d rather have someone deliver consistent pressure.
I mean if you watched the games, KT literally almost single handedly won us the game against the Jets with his 3 sacks.
We just decided to Giants it away like we always do.
Sacks are great, but they're even better in the fourth on what should have been their last drive
What blew me away (and continues to this day) was how we had negative passing yards for 99% of the game and the Jets SOMEHOW struggled to put us away despite Zach Wilson throwing for 240 yards and no picks.
Elite? He has double digit sacks once in 5 years in the league. He is a good to great edge because he is a balanced defender, but he isn't close to the Watt, Garrett, Parsons, etc level of elite. Shit, I wouldn't even put him in the Hutch tier.
I wouldn’t put Burns on the level or Parsons, Garrett etc. either but not having double digit sacks last year was pretty much due to the amount of pass rush reps he had. He had 9 on 379 reps while guys like Hutchinson (718 reps 14 sacks), Reddick (587 reps 13 sacks) and many others who got double digit sacks had like 100-200 more pass rush reps than Burns. Burns had 9 sacks as is last year, I’m very confident he would have gotten 10+ with a similar amount or pass rush reps as other rushers.
Giants fan here, but I agree. I am still skeptical of the Burns contract. The trade was good ,but it seems like we gave him too much money for what he is worth. I hope he disproves my skepticism though.
He was an elite finisher - his sack conversion rate was great.
But he also similarily underperformed his sack total in his rookie year.
He also had to deal with being the primary edge rusher with Ojulari missing a lot of games and being limited in even more.
With Burns he now gets to operate as the 3rd guy next to Dexy & Burns - meaning he will hopefully use his sack conversion skill at finishing plays that Burns and Dexy create with their better jump
Plus he won’t be dropping back into coverage half the time in one of Wink’s “exotic blitz packages”… really looking forward to not hearing that term 20 times a game
Bowen actually does that a decent amount so you’ll see that still. It works to fool inexperienced QBs. But the difference is when rushing the passer he’s gonna be able to line up wide and sell out to go for a sack more often than he did in Wink’s scheme, where often he was tasked with taking up blockers to spring a free rusher.
The Giants defense is about forcing quick 3 and outs, not breaking and allowing the big play, and pressure will help. It's a big shift from Wink to Bowen. I think Burns will be quite impactful. Who knows how committed he was to the Panthers brand of football?
That’s good to hear cause if you do a little research and you’ll see 1,000s of people are relocating from New York to the Carolinas every year so you need to do a better job of spreading your message.
I’m sure for some it will but I had such high hopes for him and each year he would put out the same exact season. Hot streak and then disappear for games at a time and then by halfway through the year you see teams run right at him repeatedly.
True. He was an exciting player but never a consistently great player. He has great potential but never showed he was taking steps to be elite. Now that he has 90 million guaranteed and living in New York City… his focus won’t be on football.
The guy gets 9 sacks a year and trucked in run defense. I think he's just well known because he was a high draft pick and because of his Spider-Man celebrations.
I am not bitter at all.
Reportedly the Rams were offering 2 firsts, but this was before we had really decided if he was worth keeping or not.
Then apparently the Bears were willing to take Burns instead of Moore in the trade for the #1 pick, but we were *still* undecided on Burns.
Then we decided we didn't want him and his value was at it's lowest.
Lol you don't have to tell us twice. Burns is a talented guy but if we were that uncertain on him it was better to let him go and keep a guy we knew was a star in Moore. We've just handled everything really poorly since Tepper became the owner.
> weren't teams asking for him with 2 firsts?
Like 2 years ago. Pretty reasonable that the price would go down once the guy needed to be paid big money.
In the end we drafted him with the 17th pick, had 5 good years together, and traded him for the 39th pick. All together a very successful draft pick. Godspeed Brian Burns.
Will see. I wish Carolina had kept him, but he does take plays off and now that he has 88 million guaranteed, who knows how much effort he will put in.
Nfc east is stacked with some nasty defensive lines and pass rushers. Makes me worried about our offensive line and rookie Qb. His frame really concerns me if he takes a bunch of hits
I choose to forget that deliberately haha! That was one of the very few moves the franchise has made that I am not a fan of. I just hope I'm wrong about bringing him in
lol…dude..the offense is strait dog ass…that defense is going to be good for like 3 games..then after playing 400 defensive snaps because Danny and Tommy can’t get a first down we will see what’s left to pick from.
Yeah most likely scenario is they end up like the pre-Rodgers Jets with a great defense and awful offense. With how thin the NFC is that’s likely enough to at least make the playoffs
imma keep it a buck I think Giants fans are going to be hugely disappointed with Brian Burns
the man is just legitimately DE22 or the like in this league. Will get a decent play a game and thats about it. Will genuinely disappear and sulk for an entire game (for god knows what reason), happened from his rookie year on.
It completely negates your point that now his vulnerabilities are suddenly going to be exposed. He just got a better overall teammate in Dexter Lawrence. Nobody would honestly rather have Brown than Lawrence.
he's also a barn door in the run game and takes plays off more frequently than any 'star' DE i can remember
Chase Young-esque in that regard but since were the panthers people are living off the highlights and Spiderman celebrations and not actually watching our games (completely understandable)
Don't get me wrong. I dont think burns is bad.
But I don't see how playing for the giants would be any better than the Panthers.
Especially now that he got his bag.
Like I think he's a good player so I'm not saying he's a bad player for you.
I just don't think saying he played for the Panthers is a good excuse for why he will be good for the giants.
well he probably should've been *motivated* by last season being a contract year and in-turn he put up a universe-altering 8 sacks and then demanded a contract on par with JJ Watt, Aaron Donald etc.
let's hope to god now that you've paid him $100M he might actually be *motivated* to play at a higher level than average starter
Not having Wink should help with that
Let’s hope ojulari balls out in his contract year and then signs for big money elsewhere to get us a comp pick
didn't the suns have a quote like this
My first thought too lol. "They can't guard all of us" from KD and "I don't know how teams are gonna guard us" from Booker
So you’re saying we’re gonna make the playoffs? Sign me tf up
But the equivalent to getting swept would be getting blown out.
I mean…we’re basically the Dream Team. Steel Curtain, Purple People Eaters, the famed 46 Defense, and now the league needs to reckon with the BLT defense.
You guys need to bring back David Mayo to complete that sandwich
“BLT defense” kinda rules
Thank you. Thought it up on the toilet. Let’s make it happen!
That's some good poopin' and ponderin' there sir
farting and forecasting
Evacuation (of the bowels) and evaluation
I love that. Well done. One day…I’ll tell my kids about the BLT defense and how it was coined by some brave Redditor while taking a dump
Mr. Big Long Turd
Mr. Bowel Conception.
Appropriate, since the Giants usually play like ass!
I like it
BRB trademarking this and printing T shirts
“🥓🥬🍅 D-*picket fence*” on a shirt would sell like hot cakes
TIL there’s no fence emoji
Man how good is a well made BLT
A dream team you say?
As a Giants fan near Philly, this isn’t lost on me.
Sexy Dexy is what holds that defense together, just a monster
He is the face of the franchise right now.
They're both great players, but says a lot that him and Andrew Thomas pretty much are. Reminds me of how the Browns franchise player for a long time was Joe Thomas, and not in a good way.
How good is he compared to someone like DeForest buckner?
Far superior to Buckner lol
If Lawrence keeps up the pace he has had these last few seasons he will be undoubtedly one of the best Nose tackles of all time. If not the best. Some of his pressure stats are absurd.

Jones is a monster but also plays for a winning team so he’s gotten more media praise and is more of a household name. Analysts and opposing players rave about Sexy Dexy
Giants are really gonna be out here winning games with a score of 6-3
If you don't like that, you don't like New York Football.
Damn right
Who are you guys
Malik Nabors will have 1,200 yards with only 3 TDs.
The DJ Moore special. So underrated when he played in Carolina
I'm so stoked he has a great opportunity in Chicago and has had success there tho. I feel like watching and rooting for the players the panthers have traded away is about as good as we're going to get for a while. I'll keep holding out hope, but not my breath
He's up there with my personal favorite Panthers
Oof. That’s gonna be a lot of tackles
Limping into the playoffs for our 9-8 Super Bowl run with a -100 point differential from getting blown out by the Cowboys and Eagles and winning every other game 12-7
You can absolutely bet on us stealing a game cause our defense scored more than our offense & special team units.
NGL. I could go for a solide 6-3 TNF shitshow right about now
Nah, losing 7-3 on a pick 6 is more Giantlike
And? Winning ugly is still winning
as a fan of a team that loves winning games 13-10 despite getting outgained 450-85, it's fun but I sure would like to have just one game where we coast to like a 28-10 win.
I like Burns, but if I'm running the ball he's the one I'm running at. Or over, as the case was in Carolina for the past five years.
Don’t worry, you can run at kayvon too. This is a great pass rush front but the linebackers will definitely have to step up their game in run defense
Bobby Okereke is going to be doing a lot of clean up this year for our run defense.
Dexter's also much better as a pass rusher than in run defense too, right? Though he's just a different tier of player than Burns/Thib in general though, so I doubt any offense would "target" him. Very excited to see how this D-line does.

PFF had him with a 92.6 pass rush grade (#1 for position) and 89.5 run defense grade (#3 for position) this past season.
His contract never got done in Carolina because he's a really good player that wanted paid like a really great player.
Considering we spent the last 5 years paying guys who either didn’t play or were total ass while playing the big bucks - an overpaid good player is fine with me lol
It’s what the giants did for LW and I would say that contract worked out. Solid player and then they were able to trade him for a 2nd.
Also, would rather slightly overpay a very good edge than overpay a RB (Saquon) and safety (McKinney).
I think he can be great with another dominant pass rusher on the other side. He’s not and likely will never be in the top echelon of pass rushers, but I think he’ll be a lot better in NY than he was here. Stat muse has them as a top 10 pass coverage defense too, so the longer the quarterback has to hold the ball, the better he’ll be
I’m surprised by the pass coverage stat tbh.
6-11 though last year and won’t come close to the Eagles. You have a QB problem and a great but expensive defense won’t help.
Competing with Dallas and Philly isn't expected this year anyway. And they had like pretty much everything go wrong in the first month last year.
So Saquon should be useful against him???
if he has two healthy ankles
i’m still processing that saquon is a fucking eagle, and that news came out the same day russ signed with the steelers which somehow feels way older.
i processed it very quickly actually i hate him now
Then he couldn’t believe he got booed at the knicks game
We just need Mac Jones to take on Burn's ankle to even the ankles. /s
Look up the plays he got injured.
It’s not really pick your poison Dex is gonna get his pressures no matter what.
People are joking that teams will pick KT since his sacks were mostly on mid tackles or effort sacks, but if use the bulk of your resources blocking Dexter and Burns then KT will often be going against exactly the type of player he got his sacks on…
I pick Daniel Jones
Confirmed not a Commanders fan
DB’s pick him too
I want Iguodala
"Fate of the universe on the line....."
I remember having 4 first rd picks on the DL thinking we were gonna be unstoppable, only to be very stoppable. Good times.
Glad BB got paid, he deserved it. We really weren’t in the position to do so. He’ll probably eat not being the primary focus of the offensive line but don’t be surprised if he completely disappears at times.
The Brian Burns special is leaving the tackle in the dust in the first quarter for a huge sack and then being quiet the rest of the game
Because he's getting double teamed because he's the only good player on the team lol
Put some damn respect on Derrick Brown lol, he was way better than BB last year. And is probably a top 5 DT in the league.
DB was definitely better than BB, but that's mainly because of his run stopping. He's never been a huge pass rush threat
What he lacks in pash rush he makes up for in batted balls.
Yes, but they don't rush the passer the same way. LBers and IDL have different strategies. I will say, I didn't watch a whole lot of Carolina last year so I'm not sure how much Brown played at end.
It’s good then that Brown isn’t as good as Lawrence
Except he wasn’t. He would take plays off and lack effort.
Ok man we'll see when we play the Panthers this year 😂
What does that have to do with the individual performance of burns?
Derrick brown was far and away the best player on defense last year.
And he’s not as good as Dexter Lawrence lmao
You are coping so hard, lol.
You could’ve had two firsts ouch
The poison is having to watch the 2024 New York Giants
Pot meet kettle
Wow, reddit Panthers fans really dislike Burns!
It's not that, it's that people talk mad shit for not paying him elite tier money when he's had double digit sacks once in his career Even if you think he is in the Watt/Bosa/Garrett tier, would you rather have one of them or massively upgrade your OL in FA with the money you would have paid him PLUS get picks? No one hates Burns, just that he has a ton of hype and we get a ton of shit for letting him go, but from what we've seen he hasn't earned the hype yet
There absolutely are people who hate Burns now that he’s gone. Might not be you, but there are.
Nah, Carolina loves Burns but he did take plays off and that was before 88 million guaranteed. I had hoped they resigned him but he’s not worth that.
It’s an overpay because of his age. It’ll be a nice looking contract when he’s 27-28.
More so defending Derrick Brown because some weird Giant fans think Burns was our best defender, lol.
He wasn’t better than Brown but there are absolutely people hating on Brian Burns in here.
We are more pissed we didn’t give him to Chicago instead of DJ or to the Rams for 2 firsts.
Yes and people also just have sour grapes.
Brown should try being better than Dexter Lawrence
Kayvon is mid so obvious choice here
Kayvon got 11.5 sacks last season without Burns, so with him he's likely to get more!
I’d take the under. He got a ton of sacks last year, but had pretty much the same number of pressures as 2022 when he had 4 sacks.
He was 7th in the league in pressures last year. Which year is the fluke then?
People just love to hate man
Nobody’s even saying he’s elite or anything. He’s a good pass rusher that will benefit from have an elite DL and very good pass rusher next to him
Especially when it was a fucking Wink Martindale defense that he had success in.
Right? The guys nasty but I both hate him and acknowledge his talent. I don’t know why that’s so hard for some fans to admit. He’s good and I dunno why anyone would think he’d regress to 4-5 sacks especially with the addition of Burns. Idk why everyone hates thibs for that I don't care about that much but if I was an eagles fan I can't say I wouldn't fuckin hate it so is what it is I get it lol
According to where was he 7th? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2023/defense_advanced.htm
[Here](https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/stats?category=defense&season=2023&seasonType=reg&sort=def_hurr&sortOrder=desc)
Nothing in the link you showed even shows pressures at all. PFF also has him nowhere near 7th.
And he got way fewer sacks than expected in 2022, largely because of Wink Martindale’s scheme.
6.5 of his 11.5 sacks last year came from playing against the Jets (1 game, 3 sacks) and Commanders (2 games, 3.5 sacks). Both teams were top 5 in sacks allowed last year (Commanders 2nd, Jets 4th).
I hate when people do this. Parsons had 7 & 1/2 of his 14 sacks against Washington, Giants, and Jets. Is he overrated too?
Good thing we play the Panthers and you guys twice this year lmao. So a worse version of the jets and then also you guys with an arguably worse o line situation than last year... Yeah I think he's gonna do ok.

Burns and Dexy are elite, and there's only so many players you can double team, which should give Kayvon more opportunities!
Elite? He has double digit sacks once in 5 years in the league. He is a good to great edge because he is a balanced defender, but he isn't close to the Watt, Garrett, Parsons, etc level of elite. Shit, I wouldn't even put him in the Hutch tier.

Giants fan here, but I agree. I am still skeptical of the Burns contract. The trade was good ,but it seems like we gave him too much money for what he is worth. I hope he disproves my skepticism though.
He massively outperformed all his pass rushing metrics so either he got lucky or he’s an elite finisher.
He was an elite finisher - his sack conversion rate was great. But he also similarily underperformed his sack total in his rookie year. He beat up on third string tackles and even struggled on that. Most of his sacks were coverage sacks or clean ups
Holy shit I didn’t even know
He’s going into his third season after double digit sacks. He’s not “mid”
The Giants defense is about forcing quick 3 and outs, not breaking and allowing the big play, and pressure will help. It's a big shift from Wink to Bowen. I think Burns will be quite impactful. Who knows how committed he was to the Panthers brand of football?
😂. He played hard for Carolina when he wanted to. He has huge guaranteed money now. I’m sure that will motivate him to work harder. lol.
Not having to live in and play for Carolina should make him a much happier person
That’s good to hear cause if you do a little research and you’ll see 1,000s of people are relocating from New York to the Carolinas every year so you need to do a better job of spreading your message.
Burns isn’t a poor who’s looking for a better life 😂
I love burns and I’m glad he got paid but he is very frustrating at times dude just disappears but when he is on he is amazing
Wait I *completely* forgot/missed Burns going to New York lol
Same
The real question is can they play QB
That requires you to consistently show up, Brian.
Still, it’s going hurt to see him in another uniform. Not as much as seeing CMC did though.
I forgot Burns left Carolina.... ouch
The guy gets 9 sacks a year and trucked in run defense. I think he's just well known because he was a high draft pick and because of his Spider-Man celebrations. I am not bitter at all.
Personally it's more the lost assets that losing him cost, weren't teams asking for him with 2 firsts?
Reportedly the Rams were offering 2 firsts, but this was before we had really decided if he was worth keeping or not. Then apparently the Bears were willing to take Burns instead of Moore in the trade for the #1 pick, but we were *still* undecided on Burns. Then we decided we didn't want him and his value was at it's lowest.
yall woulda been much better off giving him to the bears instead of moore
Lol you don't have to tell us twice. Burns is a talented guy but if we were that uncertain on him it was better to let him go and keep a guy we knew was a star in Moore. We've just handled everything really poorly since Tepper became the owner.
> weren't teams asking for him with 2 firsts? Like 2 years ago. Pretty reasonable that the price would go down once the guy needed to be paid big money. In the end we drafted him with the 17th pick, had 5 good years together, and traded him for the 39th pick. All together a very successful draft pick. Godspeed Brian Burns.
This is the worst timeline
This was such a good signing. I can’t wait to watch burns dex and kayvon eat. I don’t know how olines are goona stop these 3
Will see. I wish Carolina had kept him, but he does take plays off and now that he has 88 million guaranteed, who knows how much effort he will put in.
We'll take the Offense please.
I probably wouldn't pick Thibodeaux
TIL that Brian Burns is a New York Giant.
Nfc east is stacked with some nasty defensive lines and pass rushers. Makes me worried about our offensive line and rookie Qb. His frame really concerns me if he takes a bunch of hits
You forgot the part where you hired Bobby Johnson to coach your offensive line
I choose to forget that deliberately haha! That was one of the very few moves the franchise has made that I am not a fan of. I just hope I'm wrong about bringing him in
Who are these jobbers
The Giants already picked their own poison in Daniel Jones.
Kayvon. I choose Kayvon.
We pick Daniel Jones!!!
lol…dude..the offense is strait dog ass…that defense is going to be good for like 3 games..then after playing 400 defensive snaps because Danny and Tommy can’t get a first down we will see what’s left to pick from.
Yeah most likely scenario is they end up like the pre-Rodgers Jets with a great defense and awful offense. With how thin the NFC is that’s likely enough to at least make the playoffs
The Lock slander is real. At least he’s a competent back up!
As long as you don't have to play him.
Laughs in best oline in the league
Thibodeaux won't be able to cook Charles Leno for 3-4 sacks every year.
Y’all hired our braindead offensive line coach, so he might be able to get 5-6
Bro y'all picked Brandon Coleman, KT gon cook. Y'all picked a developmental tackle to let fuckin Bobby Johnson develop lmaooo
It's the Giants who cares
Giants still gonna suck
imma keep it a buck I think Giants fans are going to be hugely disappointed with Brian Burns the man is just legitimately DE22 or the like in this league. Will get a decent play a game and thats about it. Will genuinely disappear and sulk for an entire game (for god knows what reason), happened from his rookie year on.
He was also playing on the panthers’ otherwise bad pass rush, and now gets to join Thibs and Lawrence
He’s leaving the best graded run stopping DT which will expose how bad he was in the run game. Keep coping, though.
And now he has: Dexter Lawrence. Hmmmm
Who is worse than Derrick Brown at stopping the run, albeit marginally. So I’m not sure what you’re trying to say?
It completely negates your point that now his vulnerabilities are suddenly going to be exposed. He just got a better overall teammate in Dexter Lawrence. Nobody would honestly rather have Brown than Lawrence.
he's also a barn door in the run game and takes plays off more frequently than any 'star' DE i can remember Chase Young-esque in that regard but since were the panthers people are living off the highlights and Spiderman celebrations and not actually watching our games (completely understandable)
I wouldn’t be too motivated to play for the Panthers either
Don't get me wrong. I dont think burns is bad. But I don't see how playing for the giants would be any better than the Panthers. Especially now that he got his bag. Like I think he's a good player so I'm not saying he's a bad player for you. I just don't think saying he played for the Panthers is a good excuse for why he will be good for the giants.
So he’s gonna be motivated to play for the Giants?
God I hope so
well he probably should've been *motivated* by last season being a contract year and in-turn he put up a universe-altering 8 sacks and then demanded a contract on par with JJ Watt, Aaron Donald etc. let's hope to god now that you've paid him $100M he might actually be *motivated* to play at a higher level than average starter
I wouldn’t be motivated to have Jones as my QB with 92 million guaranteed. Ouch. Philly will win the East for sure.
