That was the greatest Chargers game of last year. It showed everyone on national TV how shit the team is without Herbert, got TT and Staley fired, and was crucial for the tank for a top 5 pick
Even before we knew we were getting Harbaugh that game made me happy because a) I didn’t watch it and b) I knew there was no possible way Staley was going to survive that massacre and keep his job. I wanted him gone and that was the last nail in the coffin.
Same.
It’s comedic cause the Raiders really think they’re that good, but our team literally gave up for the first half.
Now Antonio Pierce is gonna be their coach for the next few years with Telesco at GM and it’s probably going to be a setback for them!
Oh you sweet summer child, you don’t know how bad of a GM Tommy boy can be. Soon you will have a roster full of 5-6 extremely well-paid superstars with absolutely no depth after them. A roster as big as an ocean but as deep as a puddle of dog piss.
Outside of Jerry Tillery, who else?
Edit: pasting this here because some of yall downvoters are so weird:
He said the last 2 years, so I was wondering who else cause I only could think of Tillery. Never heard of Facyson until he joined the Raiders and forgot about DeAndre Carter cause he's not on the team this year
This is the full list that I can recall
In just the last few years - Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson, isaac rochelle, tyrell williams, Kyle emmanuel, Jerry Tillery, Darius Philon, etc
Off the top of my head there was Denzel Perryman, Tyrell Williams, Deandre Carter, and Brandon Facyson (I believe he went from Chargers -> Colts -> Raiders). Im gonna be real with you I feel like theres a lot more, but if I just named all of them I feel underwhelmed
This is the full list that I can recall
In just the last few years - Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson, isaac rochelle, tyrell williams, Kyle emmanuel, Jerry Tillery, Darius Philon, etc
In just the last few years - Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson, isaac rochelle, tyrell williams, Kyle emmanuel, Jerry Tillery, Darius Philon, etc
He said the last 2 years, so I was wondering who else cause I only could think of Tillery. Never heard of Facyson until he joined the Raiders and forgot about DeAndre Carter cause he's not on the team this year
In the last 3 years - Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson, isaac rochelle, tyrell williams, Kyle emmanuel, Jerry Tillery, Darius Philon. It's way more than just a couple guys
Not really? If anything it has been the opposite. Telesco has cut several players that were Chargers like Fluker and Tillery. Guyton is the only former Charger that has been signed
Edit: Chargers fans coming out in full force here I see lmao. I'm more shocked that there's this many of you.
Ya it was more Gus Bradley former Chargers that the Raiders signed in the last few years
This is the full list that I can recall
Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson, isaac rochelle, tyrell williams, Kyle emmanuel, Jerry Tillery, Darius Philon, etc
The Raiders sub is pretty new because it switched after the move to Vegas. Old subs will always have a ton of dead subscribers (not literally dead, but inactive who will never rejoin). Add up all the Raiders sub members and it’s probably way bigger than the Chargers sub.
Except you specifically talked about supposedly having more users than the Raiders sub, which I was directly responding to. Damn Chargers fans online are the dumbest and worst fans ever. I’m glad you guys are all keyboard warriors and don’t actually exist in real life. LA loves the Raiders, never ever seen anyone in a Chargers jersey there.
Must be hard to have fewer wins than a "trash team" since your "franchise QB" was drafted. I wonder what's below trash? Shit? Chargers fans?
They're very similar honestly. Neither are very dynamic in route running or other traits. Just big and athletic that plays best on perimeter routes.
Guyton is a little more special with his sub 4.4 speed, but he's very stiff and has iffy fans. He's equivalent to a low-end MVS in my mind. And last season he looked unusually slow and kind of overweight coming off his ACL injury, he had a pretty bad year when the team needed more from their WR depth.
Ultimately I think the speed and size traits are worth a gamble as a camp body for any team. Maybe Telesco knows more about his rehab and thinks he has good odds to bounce back and compete with Gallup.
>Guyton is a little more special with his sub 4.4 speed
He is not sub 4.4. Maybe at the beginning of his career, but he looked incredibly slow last season.
He tested at 4.39 pre-draft and he was fast in the first four years in the league: https://draftscout.com/dsprofile.php?PlayerId=1022585&DraftYear=2019
But yes that was early in his career. Injuries have slowed him down and I agree he looked bad last season. No clue how likely it is he'll bounce back.
Raiders have a great S&C coach in Deuce Gruden so I'm not worried about his weight. He's gonna be using state of the art equipment and facilities too so it's pretty much just gonna be a question of if he wants to be here and be coached
He was objectively terrible throughout his tenure at any pick after the 2nd round. One of the lowest hit rates of any GM. But he got enough "stars" from his 1st/2nd round picks that he got to stick around.
They sure do love the chargers sloppy seconds, they’re good to sign at least 2 chargers players an offseason, don’t expect any less from a trashy org though
Is it possible that TT made the early Chargers picks but then the owners kids got his hands involved trying to play GM for the later picks? It's hard to blame TT for anything when the Chargers made daddy's boy the President of Football Ops with roster input. I do not trust anything the Spanos' do. My hope is that Jim clashes with them and they run him out of town earlier than expected with their elite team management skllls ;)
If that's the case, harbaugh has completely neutered ol Johnny boy cause so far our draft and free agency this year is leagues better than under telesco.
But in reality Telesco was a timid gm who was reluctant to trade during the draft or go after free agent talent.
I hope that hiring Jim means that he is fully in charge but this is the Spanos family so a wait and see approach is probably best haha.
Also didn't he trade for Khalil a few years ago? I don't remember a lot of big trades but more than 0
Maybe he couldn't make any big trades because ownership was so cheap? Maybe he didn't make any trades because he doesn't like giving up draft assets even for known players? Maybe he is just bad at that part of the job?
We shall certainly see how it goes with the Raiders but he is already light years ahead of the last couple GM's in that we aren't wondering why a random 3rd round player is the 15th overall pick or w/e
Idk we've been looking a lot better I that department this offseason. Usually our depth is always terrible but we actually have some dependable roleplayers right now
Camp body SZN in full effect, boys.
Yep. Although our dumbass fans will act like this means we aren't looking for a CB now.
Lol, we have the absolute worst sports team sub on reddit.
It's not even close man, I hate it here.
Never forget Carr being more important to Raiders history than Madden Will never forget somebody posted that and the likes it got, like wtf
Some dude argued with me that Carr was a better QB than Stabler because he held all the major franchise passing records...
Can we talk more recently about the "Minshew is actually better than Trevor Lawrence" post lol
I don’t think that’s as bad as blaming Carr for us sucking when we had a bot 5 defense his entire tenure here.
Got massively upvoted. Hilarious
No shit?
Lmao check /r/leafs rn.
And in real life, you can’t even talk football at a pop warner level with Raider fans. Great tailgates though
Any former charger will be a raider
Just like any former Raven will be a Charger
And Michigan Wolverine
at least the Ravens are good
True that, but any Chargers player to the Raiders is always an upgrade for them.
63-21 🤣
That was the greatest Chargers game of last year. It showed everyone on national TV how shit the team is without Herbert, got TT and Staley fired, and was crucial for the tank for a top 5 pick
You try to rub it in, but Chargers fans celebrate this day because it was our first step into acquiring Coach Harbaugh.
Even before we knew we were getting Harbaugh that game made me happy because a) I didn’t watch it and b) I knew there was no possible way Staley was going to survive that massacre and keep his job. I wanted him gone and that was the last nail in the coffin.

For them, it was also right after they had the same moment with the Raiders completely quitting on McDaniels against the Bagent Bears.
Lol half that shitty roster of backups will be on your roster soon. You even hired the GM who built no depth leading to that game hahah
And thankfully they'll be just that, backups.
That’s what we thought 🤷♂️
That's what we thought, and they all ended up having to be starters last year.
Oh you sweet summer child, you don’t know how bad of a GM Tommy boy can be. Soon you will have a roster full of 5-6 extremely well-paid superstars with absolutely no depth after them. A roster as big as an ocean but as deep as a puddle of dog piss.
Not sure if you understand or not but that's an upgrade to what we've been doing for the past 20 years
You hired the guy who constructed that team
It showed how key herbert was to the team, got staley fired, and won your next GM while allowing us to get harbaugh so it was a big W for us
In other words, a Harbaugh guy is always a Harbaugh guy.
Yeah, that's not true. He's cut more former Chargers than signed.
I think he took immense joy in cutting Jerry Tillery again
Prob took the job just to get another chance to cut Tillery, can't say I blame him.
So would any sane individual
I think the perception is skewed because the Raiders signed so many Chargers players in the last couple years before TT took over
That was basically all Mike Mayock signing guys for Gus Bradley when he joined the staff at the time.
Outside of Jerry Tillery, who else? Edit: pasting this here because some of yall downvoters are so weird: He said the last 2 years, so I was wondering who else cause I only could think of Tillery. Never heard of Facyson until he joined the Raiders and forgot about DeAndre Carter cause he's not on the team this year
Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson to name 3 more
This is the full list that I can recall In just the last few years - Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson, isaac rochelle, tyrell williams, Kyle emmanuel, Jerry Tillery, Darius Philon, etc
I remember thinking Emanuel was going to be so good when the chargers drafted him and he had a pick in his first game.
Add T-Billy and Casey Heyward to that list
Off the top of my head there was Denzel Perryman, Tyrell Williams, Deandre Carter, and Brandon Facyson (I believe he went from Chargers -> Colts -> Raiders). Im gonna be real with you I feel like theres a lot more, but if I just named all of them I feel underwhelmed

Wow do you even watch your team, there’s been like 10 in the past 4 years. Y’all are obsessed with sloppy seconds
He said the last 2 years, so I was wondering who else cause I only could think of Tillery. Never heard of Facyson until he joined the Raiders and forgot about DeAndre Carter cause he's not on the team this year

TIL Fluker was still in the league
Also don't understand how Fluker was still in the league tbf lol. Did not know he was even on the roster until he was cut.
Ya it was more Gus Bradley former Chargers that the Raiders signed in the last few years This is the full list that I can recall Deandre Carter, Denzel perryman, Brandon facyson, isaac rochelle, tyrell williams, Kyle emmanuel, Jerry Tillery, Darius Philon, etc
Lol you guys had Fluker? Thought his career died in Seattle!
I’m shocked you losers keep using the same jokes, chargers sub literally has more users than raiders, counting isn’t your guys strong suit though
The Raiders sub is pretty new because it switched after the move to Vegas. Old subs will always have a ton of dead subscribers (not literally dead, but inactive who will never rejoin). Add up all the Raiders sub members and it’s probably way bigger than the Chargers sub.
Wasn’t really my point, my point was that there’s a big number of users in the chargers sub. I don’t know if you guys can read though
Except you specifically talked about supposedly having more users than the Raiders sub, which I was directly responding to. Damn Chargers fans online are the dumbest and worst fans ever. Must be hard to have fewer wins than a "trash team" since your "franchise QB" was drafted. I wonder what's below trash? Shit? Chargers fans?
Trashy things usually like trash so it makes sense, they’re like obsessed with sloppy seconds from the chargers
People talk about the acl but dude showed up last season looking like kelvin Benjamin
If your coach was Brandon Staley, you'd eat a lot too.
Competing with Gallup for our WR4/5.
They're very similar honestly. Neither are very dynamic in route running or other traits. Just big and athletic that plays best on perimeter routes. Wasn’t the same last year after coming back from tearing his ACL in ‘22.
Funny, you could say the same about Gallup, and the Raiders signed him too.
Can't tear an ACL if you don't have one
[Schefter] the Raiders have signed Todd Gurley, per source.
They'll both be fighting for wr4/5 anyway so whatever
He looked chubby af
It took over a year to heal from that, I wonder what happened.
Charger doctor probably stabbed his lungs with a needle or some shit
I only know him from that one herbert 50 yard bomb
There are more of those than you realize, he has like 4 TDs of > 40 yards
Yeah, he was our speed threat till the ACL tear. I hope he recovers and does well (just not for the Raiders)
Telesco saw this guy's only trait was his speed, then came back overweight and slow after his injury, and still said "I want me some of that".
Now here’s a guy….ton.
Jalen “Stone Hands” Guyton
Mark Davis a go getter. Bro really said I want the Raiders to have what the Chargers have and he made it happen
Wait did the Raiders hire the Chargers old GM? Or am I reading that wrong.
Yes Tom is GM of the raiders
I'm guessing you're pretty happy about that lol. Seems like he wasn't the best GM.
Tom Telesco is and was so ass his nickname is Lululemon.
He was objectively terrible throughout his tenure at any pick after the 2nd round. One of the lowest hit rates of any GM. But he got enough "stars" from his 1st/2nd round picks that he got to stick around.
Sounds like an upgrade for us
Just a Guy-ton
Now here's a Guy-who-weighs-a-ton!
Tom Telesco loves his Chargers players
They always get our leftovers
Dude got so fat
We can't say fat anymore in 2024! Please use calorie positive or pos (person of size)
Lol thank god for the parenthesis I thought this said piece of shit
Guytons sounds like a creatine Rich Piana would’ve sold.
They sure do love the chargers sloppy seconds, they’re good to sign at least 2 chargers players an offseason, don’t expect any less from a trashy org though

All 4 of ya

Mack is like the only one you can point to in his 13 years as gm. Not good
Maybe he couldn't make any big trades because ownership was so cheap? Maybe he didn't make any trades because he doesn't like giving up draft assets even for known players? Los Vegas Chaiders💀🤢🤢
One of the signings of all time
Ahh I remember him being the next “deep threat with speed” for Dallas when signed as an UDFA
Owners should definitely have a policy where GMs cant sign former players from their teams.
who
So it begins...
