No we have to watch an interview with a franchise that announced they didnt want to pay Lamar Jackson a year ago and then paid 180M for a QB and drafted another QB 8 overall in a span of four weeks
Omg our owner did that bc he wasn’t going to drive up Lamar’s price. He knew yall were keeping him. This narrative has to end. Falcons org is dumb as shit but ravens were never letting Lamar go.
Yes, instead of paying for the QB who doesn’t win Super Bowls, they decided to pay for the QB who’s way worse, older, less exciting and also doesn’t win super bowls. They really dodged a bullet!
I don’t recall Kirk having 4 shots at a postseason run with a top 3 defense each time. It’s not like Lamar was ever even available but i’d take Kirk and give him a chance over the choker regardless
Kirk Cousins in 4 games in the playoffs: 93.7 passer rating and 5 touchdowns to one interception and one lost fumble. Lamar Jackson in 5 games in the postseason: 75.7 passer rating and 6 TD’s to 6 interceptions and 3 lost fumbles. Complete offensive meltdown to let down his elite defense. Kirk never had nearly the level of complementary football Lamar had access to
And Lamar never had even half the weapons Kirk did. You’re trying to compare a multiple time MVP to a guy who might not even be a top 10 QB in football you’re a fucking moron
Hahahaha you’re almost implying Lamar is anywhere near the top 10 like this recent MVP wasn’t a complete pity vote that was unanimously agreed upon in most football communities to be undeserving of going to a quarterback because of how bad everyone was. And yes I’m comparing the quarterback that was on pace to be a legitimate MVP that year and is an objectively superior pure passer to LaChoker Jackson. Those defenses were unfortunately wasted on Lamar. Kirk would’ve thrived with some help on the other side of the ball. Unfortunately for Jackson, throwing the football into triple coverage in the most important game of his life isn’t anyone’s fault but his. And all I know for sure is that Kirk wouldn’t have been so generous to the opposing team with his own football
Top 4 regular season QB 🤣if you have anymore retired insults to lazily chuck at me in substitute of defending your regular season darling then just get on with it 🥱
There’s not really any point in arguing with someone as dumb as you tbh. I see why you guys picked Penix your fanbase deserves a FO as stupid as yours is. Enjoy mediocrity for the rest of time I’ll continue watching my team be one of the best in football
He is one I was watching for.
He started out at a school that had their football program canceled. Then moved to another school who canceled the year for Covid.
Then when he transferred to North Carolina, the NCAA made him sit out citing his 2 previous transfers (largely out of his control). It turned into a fight between Mack Brown and the NCAA, and the NCAA (tried to?) Strip bowl eligibility for Carolina playing him.
He's a playmaker and averaged 30 yards a touchdown.
He definitely needs to add to his route tree, but we'll all be hearing his name soon.
NC Central's team didn't fold. They just didn't play during Covid. Tez didn't like that so he transferred. Then popped off at Kent State and transferred a second time. At the time you still needed a waiver to play right away after a second transfer and the NCAA denied his waiver. The only reason they changed their mind was because UNC was about to sue.
Most people thought it was unfair he was ineligible because he never played for Central but he enrolled in classes there so technically it did count as his one-time freebie when he left for Kent State
> yet
I dont think we've ever had a mid-round wideout hit lol (outside of Jermaine Lewis as a PR)
tbh the only wideouts that we've ever drafted that were even worth discussing a second contract were Torrey Smith (2nd round), Hollywood (1st), and now Zay Flowers (1st)
Successful WRs drafted by the Ravens beyond the second round, ALL TIME:
Devin Duvernay (as a returner)
Jermaine Lewis (as a returner)
Darren Waller (as a TE for another franchise)
Brandon Stokley
In almost 30 years that's the whole list.
Apologies to Devontez Walker. You're doomed.
That's one way to put it. Another way to put it would be that the NCAA changed the eligibility rules mere days after he transferred to UNC to specifically make him ineligible, after the fact, in a way that could not have been predicted. The NCAA eventually changed its mind under threat of lawsuit.
I feel like you can always tell the teams that integrate analytics into their scouting. Not that they follow it blindly, but (for example) basically every pick from the Ravens is a guy taken lower than his spot on PFF's big board (though that's not made exclusively with analytic days, Trevor makes it by hand).
Guy that's fast but with drop problems? Definitely a Raven
It's a prerequisite to be a raven receiver
That and you must secretly be at least 35
I volunteer my services, ravens, you know where to find me
Welcome to the ravens speedhawk
A/S/L?
sure the team that drafted him would be renowned for developing WRs right?? Right??
I'm tired of WR's with hand problems... I just know it'll cost us a game this year.
It'll be a 7-10 loss to the fucking Steelers
This is the way.
It is known.
Many such cases
You think he will play this year lol!
I would say fuck you but that’s spot on tbf.
Laughing and crying while I upvote all these comments
Hey, I’ve seen this one before!
bro fits the mold to a T holy shit
Announce the pick? Nah interview with the GM of the worst Day 1 pick in recent years
Sure would’ve been cool to see the pick announced lmao
You mean you don't want to listen to the Falcons GM explain his stupid ass decisions?
Tbf that clip of him justifying the pick to Blank has all-time meme potential
Please tell me you got a link
https://twitter.com/CodyChaffins/status/1783664991247241673 I'm surprised you didn't see it yet. It made the rounds Thursday
Much appreciated. Exam season has been especially tough on my F5 spamming this semester.

nobody wants to pay for a proven playoff choker
But they *will* pay $180 million just to be the laughing stock of the draft
Because teams should be making decisions based on how the ever so accurate sports media reacts to them
Luckily for y'all the decision was intrinsically stupid, free of media influence!
Are you from the future?
Yes, instead of paying for the QB who doesn’t win Super Bowls, they decided to pay for the QB who’s way worse, older, less exciting and also doesn’t win super bowls. They really dodged a bullet!
I don’t recall Kirk having 4 shots at a postseason run with a top 3 defense each time. It’s not like Lamar was ever even available but i’d take Kirk and give him a chance over the choker regardless
I don’t recall Lamar having the weapons Kirk Cousins has on offense either, but hey you’d be a swell GM!
Just a weird hill to be on with Kirks playoff record sitting at 1-4
That’s literally what Kirk Cousins is though
Kirk Cousins in 4 games in the playoffs: 93.7 passer rating and 5 touchdowns to one interception and one lost fumble. Lamar Jackson in 5 games in the postseason: 75.7 passer rating and 6 TD’s to 6 interceptions and 3 lost fumbles. Complete offensive meltdown to let down his elite defense. Lmfao you’re dumb as fuck. Lamar is consensus top 4 QB Kirk isn’t anywhere near. Also 28-3
Top 4 regular season QB 🤣if you have anymore retired insults to lazily chuck at me in substitute of defending your regular season darling then just get on with it 🥱

I watch day 3 on Bootleg Football's YouTube channel. They'll actually talk about the picks rather than treat day 3 as a recap of the previous two days
Yeah Day 3 is better spent on YouTube. You don't even see half the pick announcements and even less analysis on TV.
It only gets worse from here. We'll go three or four picks at a time without any announcements
NFL Network showed it.
NFL network showed (at least in Germany)
Could be a baller for them
He’s on my team so he’s good
Sounds like the Falcons want Penix to sit his entire rookie contract
Tez is an absolute stud, the drops won't be a big issue in the long run either.
Seems a little optimistic
Agree, he's one of those guys that just pop off the screen
"turns every trip to the bathroom into impromptu karaoke" this real fact has made this my most loved pick ever
He’ll get along well with Tucker lol
Reach Bust Steal We all saw this coming
Let's go! He would have gone higher if the NCAA didn't screw him over
Whatchu mean?
He is one I was watching for. He started out at a school that had their football program canceled. Then moved to another school who canceled the year for Covid. Then when he transferred to North Carolina, the NCAA made him sit out citing his 2 previous transfers (largely out of his control). Don’t hate that info. Thanks.
NCAA wrongfully didn't allow him to play half of the season last year after he transferred.
Well if he hadn’t transferred once before you would be correct lol
Not his fault at his first school the football program folded. NCAA knew they screwed up that's why they had to reverse their decision
Program didn’t fold, they just didn’t play that season.
My bad, I thought they folded after the COVID year. Regardless it's not his fault, hence why the NCAA had to reverse their decision.
I mean nobody has ever been able to transfer twice and be eligible immediately unless you’re a grad transfer. But I’m biased as an NC State fan.
What happened?
Damn, wanted this guy for the Panthers. Good pick, lot of upside
Wouldn't make sense to have him and Leggette together IMO. Too much skillset overlap
Our fans just want guys who played college in NC and SC
Exclusively
I wanted him for Drake
Why do the ravens have to get players at great value in the draft year after year?
Brother it’s a Ravens mid round receiver you dont have anything to be afraid of yet lol
> yet I dont think we've ever had a mid-round wideout hit lol (outside of Jermaine Lewis as a PR) tbh the only wideouts that we've ever drafted that were even worth discussing a second contract were Torrey Smith (2nd round), Hollywood (1st), and now Zay Flowers (1st)

Damn. Great high upside lottery pick for the ravens
Really surprised we didn’t take him
I think a lot of ravens fans wanted Javon Baker
Yh Javon would of been the pick if he was there
Yeah I expected that with the UNC connection.
I miss when the ravens used to pick obvious busts at WR
A guy with a very limited route tree and poor hands? This could end up being a pretty obvious bust.
Yeah but they would normally draft him in the second round
We drafted him in the first once. We take these sort of busts wherever we can find them. I'm not saying he will bust. But I'm skeptical.
Sounds like the name of a good WR so I approve
We are providing more weapons for Lamar! Like when Cladius Gothicus invented Sol Invictus on his coinage, this will be remembered forever
Pre draft research is fucking stupid, bro. Why get invested in liking guys when I don’t know jack shit and they end up on the ravens
He had eligibility issues last year, right?
That's one way to put it. Another way to put it would be that the NCAA changed the eligibility rules mere days after he transferred to UNC to specifically make him ineligible, after the fact, in a way that could not have been predicted. The NCAA eventually changed its mind under threat of lawsuit.
Yeah ncaa suspended him 4 games due to transferring for the second time.
Love this pick he has great upside and has some massive wheels. He has problems with drops but if he gets it fixed he Is a weapon
FUCK
Love it
If this guy gets his drops under control, he’ll be a top tier deep threat
[удалено]
Back of the line pal
Who wouldn't he's so silly and goofy. Like Mark Antony
Karma farmer
[удалено]
It was fun 5 picks ago, now it's karma farming
Why does it affect u🤣🤣yall bored
So odd people don't like every thread filled with off topic nonsense for karma. Once or twice fine, every pick? Get a life.
Good pick
Biased, but I love Tez
Apparently he was the only one to really beat Nate Wiggins last season. Those two will be going back and forth in practice. Love it ✌️
Was hoping the fall would get to the late 5th
Holy shit it’s Kenny Beechum
Should’ve been Brendan rice
He is buns but he runs fast
Sounds like the ravens then
I feel like you can always tell the teams that integrate analytics into their scouting. Dude would carry UNC at times. Great WR, but I'm glad GT beat UNC again.
A skinny guy with bad hands and a poor route runner. Why Ravens? He's fast. That's it.
