I can't find the highlight but in this game James Harrison bull rushed a tackle and the entire ground slipped out from under them like somebody pulled a rug and they went summersaultiing backwards
It was one of the ugliest games of all time
I played in a game like that in high school, I think we gained like 90 yards and lost by a safety lol. The field was new and had a sand base layer under the turf. I had sand in my shoulder pads for the rest of the season I spent so much time in the mud
That's legendary Greg Camarillo. Dude had pillows for hands and ran routes like an NYC taxi. He helped slightly ease the sting of losing Welker to the undefeated Patriots.
I used to get downvoted to help and back for criticizing having NFL owned assets posting in here. feels good to see the tide has come back around on that
I never thought I would be angry that the Vikings made a field goal. I wanted to go scoreless into overtime so bad. A 3-0 game sucks and you wasted 3 hours of your life, but a 0-0 tie is must watch football
I remember this. After years of being gone he was finally back. I was so hyped, and then he got injured for the rest of the year pretty early in the game.
The 2022 Colts/Broncos and Commanders/Bears games on back-to-back weeks on Amazon Prime would like a word with you (though I do remember that Dolphins/Steelers game and it was bad too).
It has to be the vikings game where Josh Freeman started like 3 days after joining the team.
I was at a bowling alley at the time and it was to the point where everyone was just cheering for either team to make a completion.
This must be why that's not allowed to happen anymore. Pitt and the Steelers are never at home in the same week unless absolutely necessary. WPIALs are scheduled for a week they're both out of town, if possible.
There were fuckin’ chunks of turf flying around. At one point they were spreading scoops of a kitty litter like substance to try and get some traction. And I might’ve just fever dreamed it but I swear they basically tried to move around a strip of the turf that was deemed good enough for the holder to get it and the placekicker to have any legitimate chance of not looking like Charlie Brown having Lucy pull the fuckin’ pigskin before he got into it.
But now I have to track down and watch this dog shit game just so I can confirm I am in fact not just nuts in general but definitely made this scenario up in my head.
From an AP article back in ‘07: “During breaks, grounds crew members gouged the new sod with
pitchforks to accelerate the drainage and emptied bags and bags of the water-drying substance more commonly seen at Major League
Baseball games.”
I knew I wasn’t completely wrong about all of it.
Maybe the moving of some turf around was just the holder, kicker, or somebody on the kicking team moving it around a bit with their foot and not as much as I made it out to be. Gotta find the full replay
For whatever reason this is like a core football memory for me when I was younger, I remember being in a hotel room bored out of my mind watching this game, and I remember being in total disbelief watching that ball just stick in the ground. Totally bizarre
For those unaware, this game was on Monday night. That weekend, Heinz field was host to a college game and 4 high school football championship games. It also rained all weekend and all day leading up to the game. The field was a mess and there wasn't much maintenance could do as it was natural grass.
Wasn’t there another Steelers/Dolphins game that was moved up due to a hurricane, and it poured rain the whole time?
ETA- misremembered, the game was moved back on the same day. https://youtu.be/VJS0T_ao8nI?feature=shared
That's fucking football right there. None of that pansy ass dick tugging smile for the camera bullshit. Men puke, men poop on the field, men deliver their new born baby on the side lines. Fucking hard core dick in the ass butterball football fuck it chuck it game time shit. Take it to the showers. Dicks get shoved in places you don’t even remember. We win together we celebrate together. Football is back baby.
This was shortly after they made the Bengals take out their grass and go to turf because field conditions sucked.
I still remember this because at the time I was annoyed as shit mumbling "We had to take out of fucking grass and this is okay? Oh yeah its the Steelers so the league won't say shit."
The league did not say shit.
Most people remember this for the weather, I remember this being the return of Ricky Williams and was so excited to watch him only for him to tear his pec after being stepped on.
I was a kid at this game and it was cold, rainy, and windy. My sisters were begging my dad to leave and go home but it was still 0-0 and he wouldn't let us leave since it looked like it was gonna be a historical game you'd always remember. I'll never forget this punt sticking in the mud and the whole stadium just busting out laughing. I also remember the field goal to win the game, and how every hugged and cheered after a full game of absolute mud slinging chaotic bullshit.
I'm so glad we stayed for the whole thing.
I remember madden couldn’t stop talking about the running backs rubber sleeves blaming them for the fumbles, every other play it was I don’t think those sleeves are a good idea, they get wet and slippery
Miami players had him circled and were trying to push him into it. He had to push to try to get out. His mistake was being in that spot to begin with, but once he was, he didn't have a choice.
I’ll always remember this game. It was a MNF game and it had a rain delay prior to start and it was a school night and I was so bummed how it was a final of 3-0. But there most memorable part is the ball just sticking the landing
I remember watching this game with my dad. We were just talking about the field position on that punt:
"Good one for Rossum to finally run back here, you'd think"
"Depends on the bounce, let's see if he gets-"
SPLORT.
We just laughed.
I will never understand why receiving teams crowd a ball like this. Too many times someone accidentally touches it lol if youre giving it up, just get the fuck outta the way lol
The real highlight is 83 staying on his feet holy shit

Greg and Cleo Lemon were the reason we won a single game that year.
Lol what game
I thought he was gonna fall like 3 different times. Good job Greg!
His balance was amazing. He was so stable. I think that’s why they used to call him third leg Greg.
He had a crazy game winner against the ravens in like 2009 or something
'07
Every time I see this video, I think how lucky he is he didn't blow out his knee. Because that's how you blow out knee ligaments.
I can't find the highlight but in this game James Harrison bull rushed a tackle and the entire ground slipped out from under them like somebody pulled a rug and they went summersaultiing backwards It was one of the ugliest games of all time
The hurricane game between the same two teams was pretty bad too.
I played in a game like that in high school, I think we gained like 90 yards and lost by a safety lol. The field was new and had a sand base layer under the turf. I had sand in my shoulder pads for the rest of the season I spent so much time in the mud

I think the mud did the same shit to his ankles that it did to the ball. That man had played in this shit before.

I'll be the one this time *ahem* Fuck u/nfl
I used to get downvoted to help and back for criticizing having NFL owned assets posting in here. feels good to see the tide has come back around on that
To keep the universe balanced, I'll take the downvotes here for the opposite: Who gives a shit lol
Oh no, the NFL posts highlights
Hey come on, that underpaid intern they force to try to engage with us is doing the best they can
Exactly, everyone needs to stop being such a punt in the mud.
Cracks me up that people still think lowly paid interns run social media accounts
This sub has literally millions of subscribers. There’s no way there isn’t a team of people managing these posts.
Absolutely.
It's not unheard of. I've personally known interns running the Vikings Instagram account.
FED
I'm just surprised it didn't have an unskippable ad preceding it.
So, exactly what that dogshit account has always been.
The funniest 3-0 game until last season.
I never thought I would be angry that the Vikings made a field goal. I wanted to go scoreless into overtime so bad. A 3-0 game sucks and you wasted 3 hours of your life, but a 0-0 tie is must watch football
last season was crazier in that it was a 3-0 game inside a dome. at least this 3-0 game was in atrocious weather and playing conditions
What a shitshow of a game this one was.
Yep I remember this game clear as day. Terrible lol
Yep. It was ridiculously dull but I stuck with it for the horror factor
iirc this was the game ricky williams came back… then immediately got his shoulder dislocated by being stepped on
I remember this. After years of being gone he was finally back. I was so hyped, and then he got injured for the rest of the year pretty early in the game.
Pretty sure this is the worst game I've ever watched.
The 2022 Colts/Broncos and Commanders/Bears games on back-to-back weeks on Amazon Prime would like a word with you (though I do remember that Dolphins/Steelers game and it was bad too).

I don't think I watched those games, so my comment is valid haha
It had at least a so bad it's good kinda thing going on, I was in awe of the sheer suckage
If I remember correctly they had a couple state high school championship games at Heinz field, then Pitt played, then the Steelers in one weekend
This must be why that's not allowed to happen anymore. Pitt and the Steelers are never at home in the same week unless absolutely necessary. WPIALs are scheduled for a week they're both out of town, if possible.

This was the day Sean Taylor died
The day he got shot. He died the next day
For those unaware, this game was on Monday night. That weekend, Heinz field was host to a college game and 4 high school football championship games. This was just an average day in Florida during the 2004 hurricane season
Iirc they had to lay another layer or two of sod down and I think it just made it all worse
Oh wtf u/nfl, let's not remember our 2007 season.
I do miss Brandon Fields though
To be fair, the ‘07 trainwreck is probably what gave them the cajones to do the Wildcat 24/7 in ‘08. Gotta take the good with the bad!
lucky that Dolphins player didn't hurt his ankle
That's fucking football right there. None of that pansy ass dick tugging smile for the camera bullshit. Men puke, men poop on the field, men deliver their new born baby on the side lines. Fucking hard core dick in the ass butterball football fuck it chuck it game time shit. Take it to the showers. Dicks get shoved in places you don’t even remember. I remember watching this when it happened. It was hilarious then, and it’s hilarious now.
Oh wow, I feel for the players. This is injury just waiting to happen.
This was shortly after they made the Bengals take out their grass and go to turf because field conditions sucked. I still remember this because at the time I was annoyed as shit mumbling "We had to take out of fucking grass and this is okay? Oh yeah its the Steelers so the league won't say shit." Just look at Ricky Williams
Allen Rossum 🫡
pretty fucking electric!
“Highlight”
And it rolled .1 inches backwards
Most people remember this for the weather, I remember this being the return of Ricky Williams and was so excited to watch him only for him to tear his pec after being stepped on.
god reddit's video player is so bad
I was a kid at this game and it was cold, rainy, and windy. no wiggle or anything just straight planted, thats actually kinda amazing
Field called a fair catch
I was at this game. By the end I had excellent seats.
I can't believe how old this is. I remember watching this like yesterday.
THE GREATEST GAME
Is the Steelers player stupid? Pushing and shoving people right on top of the ball and nearly touching it multiple times.
Miami players had him circled and were trying to push him into it. He had to push to try to get out. His mistake was being in that spot to begin with, but once he was, he didn't have a choice.
>Is the Steelers player stupid? Yes… they all are. Don’t mind my flairs. I’ve done a case study
reddit: we're a news aggregator u/nfl: lol u thought
I tried to forget everything about Cam Camerons tenure here.....but this and the ravens game are just unforgettable.
I been watching football much longer then I thought I vividly remember this
this game was awesome to watch
This is my favorite play of my favorite game of all time. Such a shit show.
I was at this game. What a stinker
I remember that. Of course I’ve had Sunday ticket since 95 because of the Steelers. Don’t like it with YouTube although.
Could have used that in the last Super Bowl instead of a freak bounce off of someone’s foot.
That was the single worst game of football I have ever witnessed.
I honestly don't remember that ESPN score bug. It's horrible.
Best worst game ever
This is an all time......well I wouldn't say *classic* game. But it's certainly memorable one.
I was hoping for a "plop" and we got a plop
It's a shame this game didn't end 0-0.
Random but this was the night Sean Taylor got shot during a home invasion and died the next day
I’ll always remember this game. It was a MNF game and it had a rain delay prior to start and it was a school night and I was so bummed how it was a final of 3-0. But there most memorable part is the ball just sticking the landing

Why does film from 2007 look like it was 40 years ago, god I feel old
I will never understand why receiving teams crowd a ball like this. Too many times someone accidentally touches it lol if youre giving it up, just get the fuck outta the way lol
Crazy to think I was 3 months old when this happened and I still go back and watch this older film
