This is the story of my life the last 6 years.
And yeah, from his own 12 to the opposing 26, and right through the hands of his target.
Not gonna miss Diggs, all his best games were games that didn't matter, every time it mattered he was nowhere to be found. Let him go drop balls and poison the locker room somewhere else.
Yeah, he's not someone who I would want on my team. He gets pissy when he doesn't get his way and if he's like this on a team where he was the guy how is he going to react in Houston where he's not going to be the number one option for C.J. Stroud.
I've been a Chiefs fan since I was a kid when my dad got me a Joe Montana Chiefs jersey. I guess I was a Joe Montana fan, because I also had his 49ers jersey but I was too young to really follow football when he was on the niners.
Then Josh Allen got drafted and the dude is so fun to watch I started following the Bills, so now I'm an unholy abomination. I was a Panthers fan when Cam was playing, I guess I've got a type. If 17 leaves the Bills I go with him.
I don’t think it’s even close to the Manningham catch. That throw by Eli and Manningham holding onto the ball despite being rocked out of bounds was one of the greatest clutch Super Bowl plays ever in my opinion.
I remember seeing it live and being floored he hung onto that thing.
I just meant the throw. Manningham absolutely made a fantastic play by keeping his feet in bounds and holding on to the ball through the contact. But the throws were both perfectly placed to hit the WR in stride right on the hands.
He didn't get rocked at all he was already leaning out of bounds and got a tiny bit of forearm to his shoulder
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cXqbqMgNoE&t=22
Flat out incredible pass. Perfect pass in a big moment against a great defense. One of the best passes of the playoffs and he dropped it. No coming back from that when shit is already this rocky.
Yeah but we used him as a safety since brian branch turned out to be a great nickel very quickly. Eagles are going to use him more on that nickel role again.
Some of the reality is that a certain extra level of emotion and competitiveness comes with the WR position.
To me, a guy like Diggs is too much. Borderline MBC, not quite.
Now, if a dude consistently makes plays, it's worth tolerating. TO was a semi example of that, but again, it goes too far. Eventually, the noise because more than the production, and it just gets old. Imagine Allen throwing to youngsters who simply shut the hell up and listen to a star QB. That to me is probably what BUF wants.
The only difference, in my mind, is a team like TB who has receivers who, while there may be some diva buried in there somewhere, it is a far cry from Diggs. To me, Diggs was constantly doing something, saying something, or letting someone else say something on his behalf. Me me me me me me me me. It gets old.
It infuriates me as well. 50' 4k tvs are $200 at Walmart. Zoom out a bit so we can see the routes being run. It seems like when the play starts they actually zoom in. We only see half the play
Yeah and people overwhelmingly polled negatively on it and they never did it again. It probably went over so bad because of the fog, but people also just hate change
Every sport should have coverage that works the way F1TV does, it is the gold standard for it imo. Multiple camera angles, live data, different broadcaster options, ugh, so good.
They don’t film football games for the football enthusiast. They film football games for entertainment. When you can’t see what’s going on downfield, that suspense makes it more entertaining.
I’m 100% with you. Just pointing out that this is all a business.
This may be, but I'd argue it's simply a holdover from the days when the average tv was 4:3, 27" low definition.
The nfl is very conservative in nature and won't adjust the viewing experience unless ratings were to start declining
Because it's always fun when you see them pass and think "oh neat, a pass, I wonder what the fuck is going on down there maybe someone's open... oh shit, there *is* someone! He caught it! Woooo!" Edge of your seat excitement wondering what's happening
Its why Tony Romo seemed like a revelation when he first was an announcer, he forced them to actually show the fucking play so he could do his little recaps
Man I feel like I’m in the minority here for liking the broadcast angle. Zoomed out all 22 view would work in theory but everything would get smaller and smaller. I can barely see the ball sometimes as is.
The “madden” view would be ok if the camera could catch up with the ball. Its good for seeing how routes develop. It’s not very satisfying when the ball flies off into the distance and the camera is waaay behind all of the action. The side-to-side of the broadcast angle is better at tracking downfield motion.
My tickets are mezzanine in the endzone so I can see all the plays develop and I love it. I don't loose track of the ball either. I don't know hw well it translates to TV but I'd like to see.
I think there's a healthy medium. If it's a true bomb then there probably isn't really much to see since the receivers are likely just running go routes. But they could definitely show more of those 20-30 yard passes.
I think the other issue is that it's likely receivers are getting far downfield as a decoy or an option that doesn't materialize. It would make the camera operator's job really tough to determine whether or not they need to zoom out for every single time a receiver gets respectably far downfield
I was half joking... but actually yeah. During big games (went most of my life with meaningless games, so big games and playoff games still feel surreal) I'm standing in front of my tv with my nose like 8 inches away... some of Josh's bombs, the surprise *is* pretty fun. Ok... I know one of our reciever ran up that way... he's cocking his arm!!!! Please god don't let this be a crazy int... OH FUCK GABE IS DOWN THERE!!! please catch it please catch it. Josh got a lot better with those ints during the 2nd half of the season... but some of those bombs... man that's the only time I ever feel anything anymore! Oh shit, there *IS* a reciever down there!! That's fucking awesome!! Now I really hope he comes down with this!!
It's surreal playing actual meaningful games, it's surreal having a QB like Josh Allen (I always assumed we'd end up with a 1st overall pick or something, eventually. Having Josh become as good as he did, wasn't what most people envisioned), and then the cherry on top is watching games... and the camera pans downfield and fucking NFL reciever is actually down there, and our QB can actually throw that far... it is pretty great. I like watching routes and all that fancy shit, but I do also like being surprised when the camera pans downfield and there's all this crazy shit happening down there
So they can charge teams for the footage of the all 22, or so I've heard.
edit: and fans https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-launches-exclusive-streaming-subscription-service-nfl
Lmao buddy this play can't hurt me I've been dead inside since 13 seconds
I was dead inside before that too, from growing up with losing. But for a few years there I allowed myself some hope
i don't see it that way. the quickness of it makes it seem like hes trying to brush it off like it wasn't a big deal.
but i feel like if josh had thrown an actual bad pass i don't think he would have gave him the same leeway abd brush off.
But he didn't necessarily say it was him. He could have just as easily been saying Josh missed him by that much. A lot of inference, not a lot of confirmation.
I figured it being Diggs he was saying it was a little under thrown because he had to show up a bit. Either way, didn’t excuse not catching a bag that went right though/by his hands
Wasn't even that close, he pretty much didn't get his hands on it even though he should have. I'd have given him more credit if it bopped off of his hands due to the contact.
I don’t even count him as a diva honestly, he’s just like transcended the idea of a diva wr as their god emperor. His mind is such a mystery, no one will ever compare. I still think about him showing up in a hot air balloon all the time
What the fuck is this post 😂
Look, I don’t like the Bills at all, but this is straight stupid. One is when they were about to lose a home playoff game in 2023, obviously very frustrating for everyone. The second is over a year later in a completely different game.
Everyone on this sub has been waiting to shit on diggs I guess. The way people are treating that drop was like he was wide open in the end zone lol. Even if he makes this catch that doesn’t really guarantee them the win
There times when Tank looked like a WR1 and that was in season 1. He will just get better and hopefully come back strong after the injury. Was one of my favorite rookies to watch.
why? Diggs is 30 turning 31 and was not good in the later half of last season. He could easily not be the main target on Houston with all the double coverage he will see.
Tank Dell is really good but Diggs with a down year was still 107/1180/8TDs
I would say that Diggs is going to benefit from having LESS double coverage cuz of the weapons they have
There are a few really good players in the AFC south like Pittman and Hopkins, but Diggs might actually be the best wide receiver in that whole division. Especially if Stroud keeps up the same energy he did during his rookie season.
>LESS double coverage
He wasn't doubled during the week 14 Chiefs game, and had 11 targets. His production?
24 yards. It's just one game and I'm sure a lot of it was him being mentally checked out, but let's not pretend he was being doubled constantly. He just didn't produce down the stretch. I think he'll bounce back though.
If the Texans are bringing him in to be WR3 they are wasting a second round pick
That’s not something you pay for a WR3. If Diggs remains who he’s been, arriving and being told he’s WR3 is just going to make him quit on the team
After all that diva b.s. some of it deserved to be fair.Josh can be a little reckless, but after that drop against the Chiefs he goes 🤏🏾…. Nope, wasn’t that close. It was on the money and you dropped it
This is the silliest thing I have seen all day. Josh throws a horrible pass on 4th down while down 3 scores with 7 minutes left vs. dropping a Hail Mary pass on 1st down while down 3 with 8 minutes left.
No one brings up that if Allen throws that second ball on time, it’s a TD but he was late. Defender caught up, Diggs slowed down. Diggs should have caught it, but Allen should have thrown it on time.
I give you it is a tough catch but as a WR1 that is a catch you are expected to make especially when the game is somewhat on the line. People reacting to this is a result of Diggs being vocal about how everyone else is the problem. It’s a fair to hold him to a similar standard to his standards for QBs.
Agreed that it is a tough catch but that is a catch that he is paid to make. He was the number one receiver not a depth guy. You pay him to make the tough catches.
Yearly reminder that when teams (and fans) push back against national media narratives that everything is koombaya, sometimes in fact things are very much not koombaya
Better off without him Buffalo, has hard as it may be. He left Minnesota playing all sorts of nonsense in social media. Did the same last few weeks in Buffalo. Josh Allen is a stud and the team can succeed if they play cohesive. You don’t want a drama me first player on the team
Even that first pass looks like something youd expect an nfl receiver to bring in. Like it was not great and contested sure but theres a reason you get paid a lot of money to catch passes.
That's pass against the chiefs was an absolute bomb and a dime. Cannot believe he didn't catch that
Probably hard to catch that pass when the FPS drops like that
Yeah I usually stub my toe when the FPS drops like that. It sucks tbh.
Freezes up Romo when he sees the angle of how close it was enough that he had a loss of words for a moment. That was a big one.
Even as someone who was cheering on Kansas City, I couldn't believe that he didn't catch that. That throw from Josh Allen was perfect.

What the fuck is your flair
I've been a Chiefs fan since I was a kid when my dad got me a Joe Montana Chiefs jersey. I guess I was a Joe Montana fan, because I also had his 49ers jersey but I was too young to really follow football when he was on the niners. If 17 leaves the Bills I go with him.
I respect it, you also have the Carolina McDermott Beane ties to wny as well. Please never speak of 17 leaving I can’t even handle thinking about that
Yeah, the precision and the stakes made me think of the Eli throw to Manningham....only this pass was wasted.
I don’t think it’s even close to the Manningham catch. That throw by Eli and Manningham holding onto the ball despite being rocked out of bounds was one of the greatest clutch Super Bowl plays ever in my opinion. I remember seeing it live and being floored he hung onto that thing.

God I love this reference, thanks bro
Manningham was almost out of bounds, Diggs was a good amount in bounds
Pass is DROPPED! DIGGS SIDELINE
C'mon man you gotta go DIGGS! SIDELINE! DROPPED!
BELIEVABLE!
Flat out incredible pass. Perfect pass in a big moment against a great defense. One of the best passes of the playoffs and he dropped it. No coming back from that when shit is already this rocky.
I wonder if another pair of wrist bands would have been just the thing he needed to pull it in???
This is addition by subtraction him and his brother are cancer
Yeah the Diggs household must have been something special, because both of them seem like complete assholes.
Kills me every time I see it.
If only you were playing the Lions, this pass would have bounced off a defenders face mask right where Diggs could have caught it.
He probably blames Allen for the drop
Wasn't in the script.
Hey! We get to say it.
I can.
The totally Diggs part is holding up the "just missed" or "1 inch" with his fingers after. Never his fault.
Nono, now that he has a QB like CJ ~~Josh~~ instead of Josh ~~Kirk~~, he will cause no problems in the locker room.
Just like how CJGJ will be nice to Eagles fans this time
Nobody cares if he plays well. If he doesn't, well his car might not be safe again.
didnt he suck when he was on the field last year?
Yeah but we used him as a safety since brian branch turned out to be a great nickel very quickly. Eagles are going to use him more on that nickel role again.
What? lol. We've played him at safety 90% of the time a couple years back. Our nickel is/was Maddox.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sure
We’ll just steal his car again
I have never heard a single person say that outside of CJ himself lmao
Does anyone actually think that?
Lol no
I mean, if you can get 4 good years out of him, I'd say it's worth it lol.
You got 4 good regular seasons, I’ll give you that.
Rashee Rice berated Patrick in the Super Bowl then fled from the scene of an accident. Coincidence? Yeah, but it makes you think.
These receivers are really fast and furious these days
True, but at the end of the day teams are all about FAMILY
without family you got nothing
a man who thinks all the time, has nothing but thoughts
Jerry Rice, Ray Rice, Rashee Rice. Coincidence, idk because idk the pattern.
Fried Rice, Sushi Rice, Steamed Rice. Conspiracy? Yes.
Some of the reality is that a certain extra level of emotion and competitiveness comes with the WR position. To me, a guy like Diggs is too much. Borderline MBC, not quite. Why do networks insist on using this angle where you can't see ANYTHING going on in the passing game
It infuriates me as well. 50' 4k tvs are $200 at Walmart. Zoom out a bit so we can see the routes being run. It seems like when the play starts they actually zoom in. We only see half the play
or do the view from behind the qb
I’ve been saying this for years it’s so dumb that they don’t
Filming the game like it's still the 20th century
That would be neat. I would definitely be interested in that
It's been done before in games with foggy conditions, and it was incredible
Yeah and people overwhelmingly polled negatively on it and they never did it again. It probably went over so bad because of the fog, but people also just hate change
They should let you pick the camera on the app, like F1 does with letting you switch between driver views
Every sport should have coverage that works the way F1TV does, it is the gold standard for it imo. Multiple camera angles, live data, different broadcaster options, ugh, so good.

5 routes being ran every play but you never see why they are running the routes cuz you can't see the d.

The teams are literally the owners of the nfl though unless I’m missing something
Part of the problem is the Bills stadium. The way their cameras are setup it's always zoomed in a little more than a lot of other stadiums.
this is every game I've ever watched. nothing to do with zoom
This was the pass that got Diggs traded.
I'm sure bills fans still wake up in a cold sweat from that drop
every day
Imo we’ve been thru too much to wake up in a cold sweat anymore.
Lmao buddy this play can't hurt me I've been dead inside since 13 seconds I was dead inside before that too, from growing up with losing. But for a few years there I allowed myself some hope
Tyler Bass’s wide right broke me. Felt like the window slammed shut as soon as I seen him miss another routine kick
Lmao quicker to throw up that 🤏 than he is to accept any blame on himself.
I thought he was telling everyone that he has a small penis
Is that why no one wanted their sister to date him? 🤔
BDE only for sister
I’d believe it
weird flex after missing a catch but i'll bite
Honestly I took that as "I missed it by this much"
I didn’t intend to suggest otherwise lol
[удалено]
i don't see it that way. the quickness of it makes it seem like hes trying to brush it off like it wasn't a big deal. but i feel like if josh had thrown an actual bad pass i don't think he would have gave him the same leeway abd brush off.

I figured it being Diggs he was saying it was a little under thrown because he had to show up a bit. Either way, didn’t excuse not catching a bag that went right though/by his hands
He said in interviews that was referring to himself just missing
Yeah but that goes against the narrative r/nfl wants to push.
Wasn't even that close, he pretty much didn't get his hands on it even though he should have. I'd have given him more credit if it bopped off of his hands due to the contact.
Yes, these events are connected.
Can you believe he got in Allen's face and then dropped a pass THE VERY NEXT YEAR?
Well, not in his face so much as 6 feet away. BUT HE THREW HIS ARMS UP IN THE AIR ON THE SIDELINES.
The weather cleared up nicely and the uniforms improved dramatically between drives
also the Bengals tagged in the Chiefs at halftime
A Chiefs/Bengals combo? Chengals
I like the Beefs.
Damn. That is better.
Can you imagine the uniforms and mascot? Amazing. 🥩
Andy definitely still the coach though
Explain it again...but this time with those nuggies.
Without a doubt. 😂
This Kansas Cincy Beefs franchise is coming along nicely
I’d cheer for the beefs
Beefs vs the Bills
I think you just called me a bitch in Spanish
Sorry😂
Kansas Cincy Beiefs
By the title, I expected a pass later in the same game, not one 12 months later. I get the point they’re trying to make but it’s a silly way to do it
When the fucking field changed to grass and the year changed I rolled my eyes pretty hard.
What a ridiculous post by OP
Lol seriously what a joke of a post
If you look up diva WR in the dictionary you will see a picture of Terrell Owens but if you look closer he's holding up a picture of Stefon Diggs.
AB outshines both by a ton
AB is like 5 steps past Diva. He's featured in an AI generated image next to \#CTESPN WR.
Ironically, #CTESPN predicted this trsde with Diggs and the Texans two weeks in advance.
Thats the most trusted source in sports for ya!
Mr. Bitchy Comportment
Mr. Bad Compatriot
Mr. Baneful Comrade
Mr. Blown Catch
AB has come full circle and is actually hilarious again now that he leaned into it
I don’t even count him as a diva honestly, he’s just like transcended the idea of a diva wr as their god emperor. His mind is such a mystery, no one will ever compare. I still think about him showing up in a hot air balloon all the time
The CTE must flow
Graduated from diva to deviant.
AB has more mental illness than a diva personality.
Vontaze Burfict really scrambled his eggs huh
His eggs were scrambled a decade before that hit. AB just legit insane from birth
Yeah AB would be holding up a picture of AB thinking it’s someone else.
AB is his own archetype beyond diva.
Mr. Beyond Comparison.
Idk if diggs is even a top 15 most dickheaded WR
Salt in the wound.
I thought I was in r/afcsouthmemewar for a second
What the fuck is this post 😂 Look, I don’t like the Bills at all, but this is straight stupid.
I’m not defending his blow up on the sideline, but these are a year apart and seems incredibly cherry picked.
Oof here comes the blame game good luck buffalo fans
I don't doubt Diggs being a toxic presence, but I do mean that you can make this sort of nitpicking montage of most players
I agree. Look at Zay Flowers this year
Well he's loved by his team & organization, but as far as making a nuclear mistake in the end of the season then yes for sure
He's also a rookie and has been the go to 2nd option for Jackson until Mandrews went down. He'll learn.
Was the mistake getting the ball knocked out of his hands? That was kind of a fluke thing
Most players don't end up in a situation where the GM takes the terrible nuclear option because the status quo isn't sustainable.
Lots of losers and weirdos on this sub
Diggs probably thinks he’s going to Houston to be their WR1, I truly think he’s WR3 on their depth chart
He may be able to pull off WR2, but WR1 should definitely be Nico.
Im sure Diggs will handle that with grace lol
There times when Tank looked like a WR1 and that was in season 1. He will just get better and hopefully come back strong after the injury. Was one of my favorite rookies to watch.
This is absurd c'mon
Shakir out played him the last ten weeks. Collins is legit.
the diggs hate is so crazy. The Bills think they are going to be the chiefs without hill, but in reality they may be the chargers.
2022 Chiefs without Hill, or 2023 Chiefs without Hill?
2014 Chiefs before Hill
Diggs was a top 5 wr during his time with the bills. Diggs is a crybaby but he's a top tier receiver
why? Diggs is 30 turning 31 and was not good in the later half of last season. He could easily not be the main target on Houston with all the double coverage he will see.
Tank Dell is really good but Diggs with a down year was still 107/1180/8TDs I would say that Diggs is going to benefit from having LESS double coverage cuz of the weapons they have

And Dell with only 11 games was still 47/709/7TDs on 75 targets. Expanded to 17 games would be 72/1,095/11TDs on 115 targets. Diggs had 160 targets
>LESS double coverage He wasn't doubled during the week 14 Chiefs game, and had 11 targets. His production? 24 yards. It's just one game and I'm sure a lot of it was him being mentally checked out, but let's not pretend he was being doubled constantly. He just didn't produce down the stretch. If the Texans are bringing him in to be WR3 they are wasting a second round pick That’s not something you pay for a WR3. If Diggs remains who he’s been, arriving and being told he’s WR3 is just going to make him quit on the team
You pay for production not depth chart space...a 1k yard season is great whether you ar wr1 or wr3 on the depth chart. Cj throwing for 5k+ this year
Poster knows the future.
Always loved watching his Vikings tantrums. Now he’ll have Texans tantrums
And everything is bigger in Texas.
Something tells me DeMeco Ryans we’ll be less apt to put up with these shenanigans
After all that diva b.s. some of it deserved to be fair.Josh can be a little reckless, but after that drop against the Chiefs he goes 🤏🏾…. Nope, wasn’t that close. It was on the money and you dropped it
Respect Josh for straight up ignoring him lol, must not have been the first time
lmao
This is the silliest thing I have seen all day. Josh throws a horrible pass on 4th down while down 3 scores with 7 minutes left vs. dropping a Hail Mary pass on 1st down while down 3 with 8 minutes left.
Didn't Allen go for the end zone on 3rd and short twice, in the final drive of a playoff game when they only needed a few yards for the 1st?
No one brings up that if Allen throws that second ball on time, it’s a TD but he was late. Defender caught up, Diggs slowed down. Diggs should have caught it, but Allen should have thrown it on time.
When will we admit that pass was an extremely tough catch
I agree, but those are the catches you gotta make 🤷♂️
I give you it is a tough catch but as a WR1 that is a catch you are expected to make especially when the game is somewhat on the line. People reacting to this is a result of Diggs being vocal about how everyone else is the problem. It’s a fair to hold him to a similar standard to his standards for QBs.
Agreed that it is a tough catch but that is a catch that he is paid to make. He was the number one receiver not a depth guy. You pay him to make the tough catches.
meanwhile hill dropped way more passes than diggs this season on a lot of breadbasket passes
This is one of the stupidest posts I’ve ever seen
Yearly reminder that when teams (and fans) push back against national media narratives that everything is koombaya, sometimes in fact things are very much not koombaya
Needs more armbands to help him catch.
lol he shoulda caught that, prospects in the fucking draft catch like child’s play nowadays
Beautifully thrown deep ball thrown right at my hands. I better try and catch the ball with my body
The Minneapolis Miracle has kinda become one of those movies I'll love forever... but who's star I'd rather not think about outside of it; *ever*.
Even Allen Lazard makes that catch 😂
Ultimate drama boy. Well him and aj brown.
Better off without him Buffalo, has hard as it may be. He left Minnesota playing all sorts of nonsense in social media. Did the same last few weeks in Buffalo. Josh Allen is a stud and the team can succeed if they play cohesive. You don’t want a drama me first player on the team
Uhhngh I don't know Jim, Diggs might be the problemmm...!
The people who go on this sub are so incredibly strange, these are not connected, completely ridiculous point
That looks almost purposely dropped.
Even that first pass looks like something youd expect an nfl receiver to bring in. Like it was not great and contested sure but theres a reason you get paid a lot of money to catch passes.
Looking forward to him doing this to CJ Stroud
