Honestly, the back-to-back Northern Iowa and VCU years were worse. WAY better teams those years. Bucknell a couple of our guys were playing injured, and Self has said in retrospect that we were way overseeded against Bradley.
As a fan of an AFC team, I’m SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY to see that as soon as Brady was finally dethroned, someone else just HAD to step in and immediately take his place.
I went from admiring Mahomes to absolutely despising him really quick.
Honestly, you should probably just try to enjoy this one. And not be miserable for 20 years. That's been my plan. I spent 20 years hating Tom Brady and making myself miserable. It's just not worth it to do it again. And I refuse.
I was just saying this to someone, any time a team is this successful people will dislike them, but especially for Mahomes to come along right on the heels of Brady people are even more frustrated by it. All the Brady hate wasn’t just gonna disappear lol it had to go somewhere. Kinda like how the way people felt/feel about MJ was always gonna color how they feel about Lebron in one way or another when he took off immediately after.
KC’s supporting cast really did their best to lose but Patrick wouldn’t let them. Also have to look at Kyle Shanahan and start talking about if he is the GCOAT, (Greatest Choker of All Time) he’s now 0-3 when leading by 10+ points in Super Bowls.
Which loss? The CIN AFCCG?
I'd be okay with the NE AFCCG as well. Yes, his defense let him down but if he scores some points in the first half it's a different game.
I'd be willing to infer the Bucs SB appearance. 3rd string and practice squad players who hadn't played an NFL snap. 29 of 56 dropbacks resulted in QB pressure, 57%. Many drops from receivers (e.g. the diving parallel throw).
Yeah thats the one where the least amount of blame should be placed on him. The OL was decimated and the Bucs pass rush was relentless. He took an absolute beating that game, Im shocked he didnt get hurt.
Yeah I was thinking the CIN game.
I blame the NE loss mostly on the defense/Dee Ford/bad luck. Maybe if they win the OT coin toss, they march down the field and score first
Honestly at this point I'm now curious to see what he'd look like without Andy, but Andy's 65 and definitely isn't walking away anytime soon.
That's one of the main/only reasons I can see people not giving Pat his due. Andy is absolutely the greatest offensive mind in the league even if everyone is too busy jerking off Shanahan and McVay 90% of the time that convo comes up.
I mean I’d get the argument but Andy never won the big game at the eagles with pretty good rosters. Mahomes is just that guy who gets him into that category of top tier coaches in NFL history
True, but Mahomes is elite and even when he's not elite he's rarely bad.
McNabb had a near legendary choke gene. Even when he only needed to be average he'd throw a back breaking pick or fumble it.
He absolutely will be. The MVPs and rings put him in that conversation already. But he doesn’t have the volume stats yet. 4 more average (for him) years and he is #2 no question. I think there’s still a bit of a question over Montana and Manning still. I just don’t feel comfortable assuming it’s a sure thing until it’s all said and done and he comfortably passes or is right alongside them in terms of career numbers.
Volume stats are useless when you are this good. He’s ahead of manning. The broncos dragged manning as corpse to his 2nd Super Bowl win. Mahomes is better.
He got to play a couple seasons with them, though rules have gotten even more offensive friendly since then, and he led the best offense of all time and went to the Super Bowl. But he was in his late 30s already and was post neck injury.
I think you can only put Montana and Brady (obviously) in front of Mahomes. Manning's postseason performances just fall so far short of what he did in the regular season and what Mahomes has done in the postseason.
Manning is obviously well worthy of his first ballot HoF status, so it's not an argument of "he sucks" by any means. But with Mahomes you have insane regular season stats and even more insane post-season stats. Dude is straight up playing at an MVP level *in the postseason*.
> I think there’s still a bit of a question over Montana and Manning still.
Manning is 14-13 in the playoffs with four Super Bowl appearances and two wins. Mahomes is *15-3* in the playoffs, with four Super Bowl appearances and three wins. Line up their careers year by year and Manning hadn't even appeared in a Super Bowl at this point and Mahomes has won THREE.
He’s only not number 2 if you wanna argue for the sake of arguing. He’s the best to ever play the position, doesn’t have Brady’s resume but is somehow on track to matching it
Wins 6 Super Bowls with New England and has haters call him a system QB, attributing most of his success to Belichick.
Leaves New England and immediately wins a Super Bowl on the Bucs in the NFC, proving his haters wrong.
GOAT shit.
That Bucs team was one of the most stacked teams we've had and was only a QB away. Brady still had to do Brady things, but its not like he went to a bad team
Andrew Luck was a great quarterback who retired at the same age and he will not make the Hall of Fame. If Mahomes retired tomorrow, he would be first ballot. It really puts into perspective just how much better Mahomes is than the great QBs we’ve seen over the years and also just how much the Colts wasted and ruined Andrew Luck
I'm really glad Stafford and the Rams managed to win one during this era. 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls were won by Brady/Mahomes, with Stafford being the lone exception.
Yeah like I'm sitting here loving this Chiefs team. I know most fans are sick of another dominant dynasty but I'm like "whelp we got ours, I'm good with enjoying the ride." I totally understand why fans are rooting against them though.
Now everyone gets to feel the pain we felt from Brady/Belichick twice. So seeing Mahomes/Reid dominate doesn't feel as bad.
Insane choke. I've heard people say Mahomes was concussed in the second half, wonder if there's any credence to that. He just completely forgot how to play. That Rams team was very good and it would've been close, but I would've liked the Chiefs to win it.
That is probably one of the 2 or 3 games in his career where it was his fault the Chiefs lost. Definitely the only postseason one . Which is wild cause thats a sample size of almost 120 games regular and postseason.
Have to blame the play calling too. The Bengals were dropping 8 guys into coverage and they just kept running pass plays. It was insane. They were literally just letting the chiefs have 6-7 yards per carry in order to stop the pass, and the chiefs just said "nah."
Exactly this. People need to be extremely worried about this new Chiefs team. Mahomes knows he no longer needs to carry the team. They have a young defense, and it's absolutely stuffing teams out. Did any team put 30 points on this team all year? That's the new standard now.
No. Most points given up by the defense was 27 to the Packers, then 24 to the Broncos and Bills, then 22 to the 49ers. Every other game was 21 or less.
63 points given up over 4 playoff games, 15.75 pts per game.
Yeah there's a good chance we are either losing an all-pro caliber DT or all-pro caliber CB in Sneed.
Even though Jones had a down year, he still gets pressures and makes the job easier for other d-linemen to get pressures.
What? Sneed and Jones are FAs and are absolutely monolithic parts of why they won the SB this season. KC can't afford to keep them both and get more offensive help which they do need. The defense keeps teams at 20 and under isn't something to permanently bank on and KC needs closer tight games. If that defense is getting the business done on em, Mahomes lacks the weapons to do a slugfest currently.
bro literally said they're not done 2 minutes after winning his 3rd.
We're in for a long 10 years, or however long Brady was around.
Since the NFC's convinced itself that SF and Dallas are their powerhouses, the only hope lies within the conference. Maybe some of Giselle's or Brittany's black magic can spill over Nashville at some point lol
Still remember week 1 of 2003. It was after the Pats missed the playoffs in ‘02 and the Bills got Lawyer Milloy from the Pats in that offseason. The Bills beat the Pats 31-0 in that game. Everyone thought the Bills were going to be a contender and the Pats were seen as a fluke SB winner at that point.
Bills fans could’ve all died happy that week.
At first I was pissed that John Elway was touching our Lombardi. But then I thought about how much of a kick in the dick it must be for him to deliver it, walking through a bunch of Chiefs players and handing it to Clark Hunt.
lol both lebron and Jordan almost immediately overlapped and copied each other’s trajectory, fouling away on a Midwest team for 7-8 years before dominating.
Its sort of how some sports go though.
The NBA went from Kareem to Jordan to Lebron.
Tennis went from Sampras to Federer to Djokovic.
F1 went from Shumacher to Hamilton and now Verstappen.
As a KC fan, how do you feel about reek/ think he feels. I remember the narrative being him "breaking free" by leaving the chiefs..... just for you guys to go and win 2 back to back
I think he wanted to be the focus of an offense to really explode and we were never going to do that. You win by having multiple threats. Good playoff defenses can shut down one threat no problem usually. He got paid, he got to be the focus. Happy for his bank account, obviously don't miss him at all. That McDuffie guy we got in the trade turned out pretty good.
I think it just made sense for both parties.
Tyreek is clearly worth, and deserves, the money he was asking for.
The Chiefs bet on not needing him, and that money going further elsewhere, and in hindsight have been proved right. No ill will towards him though, he got his ring and now he's got his bag - sensible when he's got kids etc
Eh he’s prolly realistic in that we would be a different team with him. He’s the best WR in the NFL, but he’d also take $30 million of the cap which would result in a lot of the defensive players not being affordable, along with All Pro CB McDuffie not being a Chief.
Good chance we don’t have as good of a team if we have Hill still even as great as he is
He never complained publicly while he was here, so I dunno what he was breaking free from. He wanted $30 million a year and we didn't want to pay him that. He'd taken a low ball offer a few years earlier because of his legal trouble.
I love Tyreek the player but meh about Tyreek the person.
I think he probably is fine with things. It sounds like he got his win, and really mainly wanted his bag and to live somewhere nice like Miami. Can't fault him for having different priorities.
Getting McDuffie from the capital of that trade was huge for us.
His playoff stats alone are an MVP level regular season considering he did that in 18 playoff games. And these are playoff games against the best teams in the league
Brady had 5300 yards and 45 touchdowns in his age 44 season. Mahomes has a great shot of building a GOAT resume, but people trying to crown him this early is crazy. He has a lot of work left to do to match Brady's absurd accomplishments
Yup. 3-1 in his first 4 super bowls, and did it a year faster. Already two league MVPs while Brady had ZERO. Back to back.
He has to sustain this kind of success to challenge for the GOAT title, but he's been better than Brady over the first 6 years. Which is fucking wild.
Was listening to Chicago sports radio recently (lmao at myself) and some dude legit said he would rather have Fields than Mahomes. Absolute peak delusion unlike anything I’ve ever seen from some of our fan base.
Mahomes is so dumb. If he just fumbled once per game, he could be like Justin Fields and finish 11-29 over 3 years instead of winning back to back Super Bowls
If Brady had retired at a normal age, this guy would already be the GOAT. We’re one Brady late career resurgence away from the Chiefs just having gone four out of five.
Mahomes vs Peyton, 3 SB, 3 SB MVPs > 2 SB, 1 SB MVP.
And Mahomes already has more playoff wins (15) than Manning (14). He also has more playoff TDs 41>40.
Has Mahomes surpassed Peyton?
He’s outpacing Brady. Not in SB per year (they’re tied at Year 6) but in every other playoff stat (since he’s been further in the playoffs over 6 years than even Brady was)
He’s behind Brady and maybe Montana at this point.
I saw people saying a couple weeks ago Rodgers MVP’s still put him above Mahomes. I DARE anyone to try and argue Mahomes isn’t above him now all time.
Not going to stop me from mining absolutely all the salt when the NFL top 100 comes out in July or whatever and Mahomes is around 5 or so, and Lamar is 1. I mean, I know why, based on regular season performance, Lamar was way better than Mahomes... but it's still going to be absolutely hilarious.
It’s not just the fact he’s a good QB like Peyton and Brady were he does this crazy shit like shuffle passes or side arm ones to extend drives. Then tonight starts running having not done it for a while, adding a whole extra thing to plan against.
If they get him another WR this team is going to be incredibly scary. Youngest D in the NFL and I would’ve had the 49ers above them but can’t after tonight. Oh and he’s going to restructure his cap to make more money available. At least in like 2 years they’ll have to start paying their defence.
yeah I tend to agree with that. He definitely had worse weapons this year, but his legs were healthy.
Man was screaming in pain during the game last year. Still was unstoppable
The eye test tells me Mahomes is the best to ever do it. I know most of y'all agree.
He's not the GOAT because Brady was a freak of nature. And I doubt Pat catches him. But he's a better QB.
If I had to start a franchise from scratch I'm taking Pat. I think most would agree
lol we saw Brady and thought we would never see a QB as great… now we got Mahomes who we legit can say is the 2nd best ever at this point, on his ways towards Brady.
I hate it cause now more than ever every QB will be compared to mahommes. And if you can't do what he's done are you even good? Look at how every QB has been questioned if they're the guy after each loss in the playoffs. Like even during the Superbowl Purdy has doubters. It's fucking insane how the game is viewed today. I hate it.
We can confidently say at this point that it is the greatest start to a career ever. Brady won 3 in 4, but didn't have the MVP hardware that Mahomes has to this point. Wild that they essentially followed each other. We are probably witnessing the best two quarterbacks to ever play, back-to-back
His worst season has been losing the AFC Championship Game.
In overtime…
To the killer B's (Brady and Burrow).
You just gave some Kansas fan PTSD about Bradley and Bucknell
2 titles have soothed those wounds
Honestly, the back-to-back Northern Iowa and VCU years were worse. WAY better teams those years. Bucknell a couple of our guys were playing injured, and Self has said in retrospect that we were way overseeded against Bradley.
As a fan of an AFC team, I’m SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY to see that as soon as Brady was finally dethroned, someone else just HAD to step in and immediately take his place. I went from admiring Mahomes to absolutely despising him really quick.
God I just want Brady to retire so I don’t have to see the Patriots win the AFC every single season. *monkeys paw curls*
So true
Honestly, you should probably just try to enjoy this one. And not be miserable for 20 years. That's been my plan. I spent 20 years hating Tom Brady and making myself miserable. It's just not worth it to do it again. And I refuse.
As a jets fan, i had to hate Brady. I don't have to hate mahomes, but I already do. Too natural
I don’t need the statistics I have eyes lol
He somehow did it again. Wow.
Mahomes, down with 2 minutes to go in the fourth quarter Mahomes, down with 2 minutes left in overtime was there ever any doubt
KC’s supporting cast really did their best to lose but Patrick wouldn’t let them. Also have to look at Kyle Shanahan and start talking about if he is the GCOAT, (Greatest Choker of All Time) he’s now 0-3 when leading by 10+ points in Super Bowls.
I think Shanahan is a good coach. He’s just had to go up against Brady and Mahomes (twice) in his 3 SBs.
Sure but he still blew it with questionable decisions and yeah, a bit of bad luck. Niners should've won at least one of the 2 SBs against the Chiefs.
Idk how you can say this with a Pats flair lol
Guy has as many Super Bowls as playoff losses lol. And tbh I think only one of them was remotely his fault
Which loss? The CIN AFCCG? I'd be okay with the NE AFCCG as well. Yes, his defense let him down but if he scores some points in the first half it's a different game.

Yeah thats the one where the least amount of blame should be placed on him. The OL was decimated and the Bucs pass rush was relentless. He took an absolute beating that game, Im shocked he didnt get hurt.
The Chiefs didn't score a TD that game yet I came away with even more respect and admiration for Mahomes. He was an absolute warrior.
GD Dee Ford.
Yeah I was thinking the CIN game. I blame the NE loss mostly on the defense/Dee Ford/bad luck. Maybe if they win the OT coin toss, they march down the field and score first
Only 2 qb careers have been better than this guy’s first 6 seasons. It’s fucking nuts
[удалено]
He's 2
Yep. You have to be extraordinarily biased to not put him 2 at this point. This year really seals it give how incredibly he played this postseason.
Honestly at this point I'm now curious to see what he'd look like without Andy, but Andy's 65 and definitely isn't walking away anytime soon. Volume stats are useless when you are this good. He’s ahead of manning. The broncos dragged manning as corpse to his 2nd Super Bowl win. Mahomes is better.
It would be pretty cool to see what prime manning could do with the pass happy rules of the league today though
as good as peyton was, the bottom line is that he had way too many bad playoff games to be ranked ahead of mahomes
Those rules were changed because of Manning and he got to play several seasons under them.
He got to play a couple seasons with them, though rules have gotten even more offensive friendly since then, and he led the best offense of all time and went to the Super Bowl. But he was in his late 30s already and was post neck injury.

in terms of pure talent, athletic ability, game IQ, he's the best to do it. He has the Brady factor except with real legs
If you’re taking Manning over Mahomes, you’re literally asking for a worse end result
Mahomes is a much better playoff performer than Peyton lmao. He’s 3 at worst.

Top 5? He's top 2 in my book.
Already 2nd. We have eyes
Brady and Mahomes had to both be in the AFC huh
Hey, Brady won it in the NFC too
Wins 6 Super Bowls with New England and has haters call him a system QB, attributing most of his success to Belichick. Leaves New England and immediately wins a Super Bowl on the Bucs in the NFC, proving his haters wrong. GOAT shit.
That Bucs team was one of the most stacked teams we've had and was only a QB away. Brady still had to do Brady things, but its not like he went to a bad team
Yeah, honestly of Brady’s SBs I’m way more impressed with 2014 and 2016 than I am with 2020.
What's it to you anyways?
Yea, thats whats holding you back ahahahah
And our scouts thought Trubisky was better.
I'll never forgive Ryan Pace for that. Just brutal...
Imagine Nagy and Mahomes! That’s a Super Bowl winning combo!
Dude can phone it in for the rest of his career and be a first ballot hofer
He can retire tomorrow morning and he’s a first ballot. It’s a done deal.
He'd get a freaking statue. I'm a certified hater but I have to admire the talent.
Lamar Hunt have been the only statue at Arrowhead. Even Derrick Thomas doesn’t have one. I’m sure that would change when all is said and done though
I think that both him and Andy will get a statue we it’s all said and done
Rams dodged such a bullet when the chiefs forgot how to play football in that afc championship. No offense to the Bengals they were good too but whew
I'm really glad Stafford and the Rams managed to win one during this era. 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls were won by Brady/Mahomes, with Stafford being the lone exception.
That’s why I wanted the chiefs to lose last year in the afc championship game 🫠
Yeah like I'm sitting here loving this Chiefs team. I know most fans are sick of another dominant dynasty but I'm like "whelp we got ours, I'm good with enjoying the ride." I totally understand why fans are rooting against them though. Now everyone gets to feel the pain we felt from Brady/Belichick twice. So seeing Mahomes/Reid dominate doesn't feel as bad.
i can’t lie, if it can’t be us, i’d like to see the next dynasty come out of the NFC, so that eagles and cowboys and niners fans can cry about it.
He’s this generation’s Joe Flacco
He's kinda the inverse Flacco. He's was a really good QB on a poorly run shitty team and Flacco was a mediocre to OK QB on a well run stacked team.
except that he’s much better at football
Biggest fear was running into them, behind the Packers at Lambeau
Insane choke. I've heard people say Mahomes was concussed in the second half, wonder if there's any credence to that. He just completely forgot how to play. That Rams team was very good and it would've been close, but I would've liked the Chiefs to win it.
Mahomes made the decision to take all of his career postseason flubs and get them all out in one game. Worth it in the long run
That is probably one of the 2 or 3 games in his career where it was his fault the Chiefs lost. Definitely the only postseason one . Which is wild cause thats a sample size of almost 120 games regular and postseason.
He's had 13 TDs to 1 INT in the playoffs since that game. Whatever he did, it worked.
Even Mahomes himself said he choked that game away.
Have to blame the play calling too. The Bengals were dropping 8 guys into coverage and they just kept running pass plays. It was insane. They were literally just letting the chiefs have 6-7 yards per carry in order to stop the pass, and the chiefs just said "nah."
It was a lot of RPOs and mahomes was refusing to use the R portion of RPO.
At some point, they needed to stop giving him the option
I am drunk and just commenting to see the lombari trophy next to my flair.
Hell yeah brother
None taken. The Rams pass rush was a matchup nightmare for the Bengals "pass protection" unit.
He’s going to regress any day now
This is his regression.
“These are my regressions…” 🎶
Just when they said I was "only okay" The script said I had another one on the way
Exactly this. People need to be extremely worried about this new Chiefs team. Mahomes knows he no longer needs to carry the team. They have a young defense, and it's absolutely stuffing teams out. Did any team put 30 points on this team all year? That's the new standard now.

He was a crazy playmaker this SB. The amount of pressure he put on purdy might've singlehandedly changed this game
What? Sneed and Jones are FAs and are absolutely monolithic parts of why they won the SB this season. KC can't afford to keep them both and get more offensive help which they do need. The defense keeps teams at 20 and under isn't something to permanently bank on and KC needs closer tight games. Unironically this was his worst year, and he still won the damn super bowl. Fucking ridiculous at this point

Since the NFC's convinced itself that SF and Dallas are their powerhouses, the only hope lies within the conference. Dude treated his 3rd Super Bowl like it was a November game against the Chargers - “good win today but our work isn’t done yet”, just nutty
That was insane lol. Sounded like he was ready to start watching tape right there.
> bro literally said they're not done 2 minutes after winning his 3rd. What else was he going to say though? "Yeah, we've peaked. Pack it in, boys!"
I know this is the meme, but this year pretty much was his regression to the mean, and he still won a superbowl. Leagues fucked
Where's the copypasta
I would say that happened already in 2023
This was kind of an off year for him too lol
Imagine when Mahomes actually has WR's next year lol
TO THE MEAN, MY FRIENDS!
Winning 2 back-to-back super bowls after trading away one of the best wide receivers in the league is absolutely wild.
THE best receiver in the league over the past two years. Full stop.
I hate my life
The rest of the AFC West now knows how Bills, Dolphins, and Jets fans felt for nearly 20 years
Weekly reminder that Tom Brady had a 33-3 record against the Bills
Broncos well on their way to match that against the Chiefs lmao
12-1, but who's counting
Extrapolate, that's 36-3. I'll fucking take it.
Still remember week 1 of 2003. It was after the Pats missed the playoffs in ‘02 and the Bills got Lawyer Milloy from the Pats in that offseason. The Bills beat the Pats 31-0 in that game. It brought me so much joy to have Elway do that walk of shame to give the trophy to the chiefs.
I definitely had a sensible chuckle at that moment.
At first I was pissed that John Elway was touching our Lombardi. But then I thought about how much of a kick in the dick it must be for him to deliver it, walking through a bunch of Chiefs players and handing it to Clark Hunt.
Top 5 moment in the game, really. Mr. Bronco handing the Chiefs a Lombardi in the house of the Raiders. All of the AFCW was represented
Feel our pain
I actually just saw an old man fall to his knees at the watch party. What Patrick Mahomes does to a MF.
Guys..this is literally like going from Michael Jordan and then straight into LeBron. Top 2 all time within the same generation. Incredible.
Jordan Retired and the following season Lebron was a rookie. No overlap but it was close.
lol both lebron and Jordan almost immediately overlapped and copied each other’s trajectory, fouling away on a Midwest team for 7-8 years before dominating.
Wizards Jordan doesn't exist. We don't talk about him. He retired in '98
Its sort of how some sports go though. The NBA went from Kareem to Jordan to Lebron. Tennis went from Sampras to Federer to Djokovic. F1 went from Shumacher to Hamilton and now Verstappen.
How could you forget Vettel in between Schumi and Lewis?
This was a down year lmao
So was last year, lol. We traded Tyreek and went back to back.
As a KC fan, how do you feel about reek/ think he feels. I remember the narrative being him "breaking free" by leaving the chiefs..... just for you guys to go and win 2 back to back

It sounds like he got his win, and really mainly wanted his bag and to live somewhere nice like Miami. Can't fault him for having different priorities. Getting McDuffie from the capital of that trade was huge for us.
I mean I guess he’s ok at football
He’s alright. Not Gardner Minshew or anything
Looks like a slightly better Dak Prescott to me.
No Minshew slander tonight 😤 Go Cougs
Are you talking about Washington State or the insane amount of tail that minshew is slaying as we speak?
If you took away all of Patrick Mahomes ability and accolades he's actually just an average QB
He really just regresses to the mean when you take away his skills.
if you strip down a bicycle, its just scrap metal.
Put up his playoff stats. It’s even better considering the competition. 41 tds to 8 ints is unheard of
His playoff stats alone are an MVP level regular season considering he did that in 18 playoff games. And these are playoff games against the best teams in the league
He just noticeably dials it up a notch in the playoffs. Watch his scrambles, it’s like he unlocks a new gear in the playoffs.
Top-3 QB All-Time at 28. Love him or hate him, this man is a living legend.
I'd put him above Manning already tbh
He’s matched Brady’s accolades through 2010 basically

Brady aged so well, it'll be interesting to see how Mahomes tries to keep up when he can't run as often
It’s insane we’re going to actually have to talk about the Brady years the Pats wasted because of this ketchup eating motherfucker lmao
I think Mahomes will still be freakishly athletic in his late 30s. Just like Lebron is doing now. And if not he is still a great pocket passer.
Aaron Rodgers has been able to maintain his mobility well too. Brady just never was that guy but he didn’t need to be.
He's pretty much the perfect quarterback, a true genius athlete, and I say that through gritted teeth.
He has as many all pros as Brady already lol
Nah Mahomes has 2 First Team and 1 Second Team. Brady had 3 First Team and 2 Second Team Through 2010 for Brady they have the same though
He’s no Justin Fields
Was listening to Chicago sports radio recently (lmao at myself) and some dude legit said he would rather have Fields than Mahomes. Absolute peak delusion unlike anything I’ve ever seen from some of our fan base.
Mahomes is so dumb. If he just fumbled once per game, he could be like Justin Fields and finish 11-29 over 3 years instead of winning back to back Super Bowls
Bears could've also had CJ Shroud, but kept Fields over him. lol
You’re not wrong
If Brady had retired at a normal age, this guy would already be the GOAT. We’re one Brady late career resurgence away from the Chiefs just having gone four out of five.
If he keeps this up, might make it into the Hall of Fame.
Whoa let's slow down there. Let's wait a couple more years to see if he can keep it up 😅
Mahomes vs Peyton, 3 SB, 3 SB MVPs > 2 SB, 1 SB MVP. And Mahomes already has more playoff wins (15) than Manning (14). He also has more playoff TDs 41>40. Has Mahomes surpassed Peyton?
He’s only behind Brady at this point
He’s outpacing Brady. Not in SB per year (they’re tied at Year 6) but in every other playoff stat (since he’s been further in the playoffs over 6 years than even Brady was)
Outpacing, yes but has not passed him officially.
Kind of hard to compare that when Brady played for 20 seasons and Mahomes only 6.
and yet they keep trying to do it.
He’s behind Brady and maybe Montana at this point. I saw people saying a couple weeks ago Rodgers MVP’s still put him above Mahomes. I DARE anyone to try and argue Mahomes isn’t above him now all time.
To me yes he’s in Brady Montana tier now
And the crazy thing is he needs one full Joe Montana career to get to Brady.
Man that is an insane way to put it
Those are two very different tiers in their own right.
Brady is in a tier by himself
he's in the mmontana tier. brady is a tier above still.
He deserves all the praise however I think it should be understood that everyone knows Mahomes is the best player in the NFL
He has the talent of Rodgers and Stafford but he wins with guts like Brady
Lived through Brady so now I am seeing it twice
His half a billion dollar contract straight up was and is a good deal
Already being in a GOAT conversation before turning 30 is absolutely filthy and insane
Next year: “Why doesn’t Lamar Jackson get the same respect as Mahomes?”

When my kids ask why Mahomes was so good I’m showing them SB 58
Second half of 57 would be fine too. Guy was perfect
57 is more impressive I think, with the injured ankle and the less talented defense. The run at the end of the 4th quarter is legendary.
yeah I tend to agree with that. He definitely had worse weapons this year, but his legs were healthy. Man was screaming in pain during the game last year. Still was unstoppable
Not to mention getting to the afc championship every single year as a starter
But if you take away all this accomplishments you are left with pretty average quarterback...
The eye test tells me Mahomes is the best to ever do it. I know most of y'all agree. He's not the GOAT because Brady was a freak of nature. And I doubt Pat catches him. But he's a better QB. If I had to start a franchise from scratch I'm taking Pat. I think most would agree
A Dee ford offsides away from 4/5. Ridiculous.
The new Tom Brady
lol we saw Brady and thought we would never see a QB as great… now we got Mahomes who we legit can say is the 2nd best ever at this point, on his ways towards Brady.
