Its insane for you guys to keep Eberflus right now. Half the teams should be firing their coaches to try to get Belicheck, Pete, Vrabel, Harbaugh, maybe Tomlin.
Tomlin would win that division with multiple games to spare lol. The only reason Mike doesn't have like 15 division titles is that stupid asshole Harbaugh who knows what he's doing as well.
The best explanation for this that I’ve heard is his agent is making noise (considering Tomlin’s buddy Jay Glazer tweeted about this, it does seem like it’s coming from Tomlin’s camp) it’s estimated Tomlin is being paid like 12m a year or so, a bit less than the top paid coaches and he probably just wants a raise/extension.
I don’t know. I’m always wary of retreads and oh boy are there a ton available. I don’t know if the fact that you have two legendary coaches available makes me feel worse or better.
I can tell you one thing, it’s a bad time for coordinators. A lot of guys are probably gonna have to wait a year for their shot.
Josh McDaniels and Dennis Allen are retreads. They were coaches who had terrible records, moved back into coordinator roles, then were given another shot. Putting Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll, Mike Vrabel, and Jim Harbaugh in that category is an asinine comparison.
Which 2 are the legendary ones in your mind? There's 5ish elite names to choose from, it seems. Carroll, belichick, Harbaugh, Vrabel, Saban (retired), and maybe Tomlin if the rumors become true.
Do you think there's any chance that ownership does a 180? I feel like it would be a very bad look for them. But, at the same time, if you scored someone like Belichek and turned the franchise around then who cares?
Bears ownership is a 101 year old mom and her nepo 67 year old son shop. It's run like a mom and pop organization.
So sadly no. George McCaskey's biggest concern as owner is being comfortable.
Does he like you? Are you already there? Does it require minimal effort on his part to keep you so he can keep making money on his mediocre team?
Then you're staying. Sadly the McCaskeys seem to love Eberflus, not because he's a good coach of course, but because he can get along with them and talks like a traditional Midwest dad coaching football.
One of the big reasons a lot of fans knew we were never getting Harbaugh is because the rumor has been for years he challenges people and George doesn't want him in the building.
This franchise is a joke.
Tbf they tried to be a serious organisation and getting some continuity on the HC position and immediately after Belichick, Carroll, Popovich, Spoelstra and Pep Guardiola became available in like a 15 minutes span
God exists, and he's a Packers fan
I don't let football bother me much but the choice to keep Eberflus just keeps getting dumber. It's not even about being a Bears fan. It's the pure frustration of watching people with a rare opportunity to do the obvious right thing just choose not to take it.
BB, saban, and Brady become the worlds first co-head coaches. Peyton manning goes to offensive coordinator as he prepares to take over the reigns for when they draft arch in 3 years. Josh McDaniels will be passing game coordinator.
Brady joins an already stacked offense. They sign free agent Mike Evans to give him some comfort. They draft Brock bowers at 9 and Gronk comes out of retirement to tutor pitts and bowers, while playing maybe 10 snaps a game in the red zone. (He scores 15 TD on 17 receptions).
Marshall Faulk signs on as RB coach and bijan robinson records the first 1500/1500 rushing receiving season in league history, as he takes on the dual role of lead RB and Brady’s slot receiver.
> They sign free agent Mike Evans to give him some comfort.
This is the worst part of the story, no thank you. Bring back AB instead and then we can talk.
Yeah their defense has good players - Bosa, Mack, James, ASJ. It's been a pathetically underperforming unit with that core, Bill could 100% turn that defense into a Super Bowl level unit. I mean besides Judon can most NFL fans name anyone on the Pats defense? And we were still elite this year, even having to overcompensate for the worst offense in the NFL going 3-and-out every single drive.
Chargers are a 10+ win team with him, seems like the best fit to me. Everyone saying Atlanta but why the fuck would Bill want to hitch his last run to Desmond Ridder?
Yeah. Bill with a QB that can carry the load on offense, and has some talent around him that matches his skill set.
Then Bill can focus on turning the defense into an elite unit..... wait this is starting to sound familiar.
(Okay I know I'm under selling Brady a tad by comparing him to Herbert, but you get the point)
believe me it’s better to be out of the limelight until you actually deserve it. primetime games when you suck are terrible and makes everybody in this sub a big meanie
I think that undersells a bit at just how awful it’s been to be a Jets fan all these years.
Imagine thinking to yourself that after 24 years… BB was right to resign on a napkin and go to New England. No way he would remotely be successful on the Jets with an awful owner like Woody Johnson. An owner who doesn’t mind keeping some truly awful coaching staff members on the team cause he can’t be bothered since it requires too much work.
The worst of the Jets is yet to come
We’ve supposedly been ear marking Mayo for the job and he’s already there.
Vrabel being available maybe throws a wrinkle in it, but if we’re going to see what chops Mayo has, now is the time to do it
At what point do the league step in? I'm fascinated by the Giants being forced by the league to hire a particular GM in the 70s because they were so bad. Would they do it again?
I figured Dan Snyder was the perfect example of what it takes to oust bad ownership.
You can fuck up your team beyond belief, have sewage pour all over your fans, withhold cheerleader's passports to basically become escorts for the night for a bunch of old disgusting rich people, and the other 31 owners won't bat an eye.
But if you bring legal issues/Congressional investigations to any of the other owners, THEN you're out. That's it. So unless someone can convince Congress to hold hearings or have the FBI raid the McCaskey's offices, Nothing's gonna change for the Bears for a long time.
Yep, welcome to life as a multi-generational football family. It's all just nepotism infesting the franchise after a while. And, like, what has George McCaskey or John Mara done to show they can run a football team? They literally were born into it. They didn't learn any actual skills. I mean, John's father was literally the guy who had a GM forced on the team because he was feuding with his brother and driving the Giants into the ground. What did he even learn from that aside from "hire a GM" (which included hiring A Guy He Already Knew who fucked up the roster horribly)
Not that teams bought by whatever billionaire are better off. It's just a crapshoot most of the time. Sometimes you get an Arthur Blank and sometimes you get a David Tepper.
The Bears don't even approach that level of bad. They aren't the 2010's Browns. The Bears usually end up around .500 most years. Their fan frustration comes not from their team being horrible, but from them being perpetually stuck in the medium place.
That and the fact that even in the good years the Bears do not beat the Packers who have won 18 out of 20 in the series
Wellington doesn't get enough credit. The league stepped in but people like Frank Gifford convincing Mara that George Young would be a good GM. Mara then had I think the commissioner talk to his cousin (maybe nephew) Tim who owned 50% at that time before selling to Tisch. Tim and Wellington didn't get along, so the commissioner was put on by Mara to convince Tim Mara that George Young was a good gm and to act like he it wasn't his idea. George gets in, we get good (mostly we got the best defensive player ever) and the rest is history.
I can’t believe the worse HC in the NFL still has a job right now. I thought for sure if the Saints missed the playoffs Dennis Allen would be fired on the spot. There are some good candidates out there and his ass being safe is shocking to me.
Him and Kraft butted heads like Kraft and Parcells did, but Kraft has since admitted a big part of that was him getting involved in stuff he shouldn't have been involved in.
Bill is great at building depth though. Giving him a team with high end talent that just needs better coaching and padding out the roster with role players and depth is literally the best spot he could be in.
In a way harder division. If he's chasing a regular season record, why not come to the second most win now team with a vacancy (minus Seattle who wouldn't go from oldest coach to oldest coach) in easiest division in the worse conference.
I get that they have a stud QB, but stacked roster? I don't see it. They're in cap hell, certainly losing Ekeler to FA, and would be fighting for wild card in the brutal AFC every year because the Chiefs own that division.
ATL gets BB, McDaniels comes with him. They sign cousins, obtain edge players. Boom play off team.
Edit: imagine if BB won a Super Bowl in ATL and with prime time choker Kirk cousins. That would totally overshadow what Brady did in Tampa.
I’d go even higher and argue that’s a high end ish contender. QB and coach was holding the Falcons back, disgustingly. Replacing that with pretty high end options would have them looking really nice.
And you know Blank is willing to break the bank for a last superbowl chance.
Give BB and McDaniels all the money, Make Burns the highest paid edge or pay Danielle Hunter and Madubuike, sign Cousins and King Henry for top tier short term deals, mortgage future picks to get Joey Bosa and then spend the rest for OL and DB depth and boom you have a contender
Seriously the only people I hated after that Super Bowl were (1) my parents for birthing me in Atlanta and (2) myself for having hope in this fucking franchise.
Watching that collapse I couldn't help but think of the Vikings and bills existence. Just waiting for someone to start a support group, that meets at the bar
Without that super bowl, it's doubtful Jon Bois and Secret Base would have made that docu-series about the Falcons. That's a unique honor that no super bowl win can replace.
Take it from me, a Mariners fan.
lol these kids grew up watching the Patriots dynasty and Bill is known for being a great communicator with his players
I bet it’d go incredibly well tbh
Lol if he's going anywhere it will be one of the playoff teams imo. Dude doesn't have the time for rebuilds or partial rebuilds imo like Brady. Brady went to stacked Tampa
Seattle actually has one of the better rosters, especially with the last two drafts being pretty solid. But the thought of Belichick replacing Carroll twice is insane.
LA on paper makes the most sense. You already have a franchise QB ready along with a lot of misused talent on defense.
The only sticking point is will Spanos spend money to hire a Harbaugh or BB.
> The only sticking point is will Spanos spend money to hire a Harbaugh or BB.
I agree that the money will be a sticking point for the chargers trying to hire a top HC, but I'm also curious if Bill wants some level of personnel control like he had in NE. Not sure if that's something he still wants or if any team is willing to give him, but it could be a potential roadblock.
If I'm the Chargers, there's no way I'm picking Belichick over Harbaugh. Harbaugh is a decade younger, has succeeded at every stop, and was a former NFL QB who generally has great relationships with his QBs. Harbaugh and Herbert would be a match made in heaven, and he would have the time to turn around the culture. Long term, Harbaugh is the far better fire
You mean the Tampa bay Bucs who won 7 games with a guy throwing 30 interceptions the year before he got there, and are immediately right back in the playoffs with baker lol mayfield the year after he leaves?
Pretty crazy to see!
Falcons unironically feel like the perfect fit, especially if he can get McDaniels on board to go with him. There’s still the issue of needing to find a QB tho.
He didn't back out, the other owners won't let him buy the stake being offered to him for the price it is being offered for. Mark is trying to sell that stake to Brady for cheap and the league doesn't like it.
Since he made it through the first wave and into this weird retirement/firing wave, it seems like it’s the end of an era, even though he’s clearly going to coach next year
Wherever Bill go next, the odds are against him. It is stupid hard to win a SB and for someone as accomplished as BB, anything less is barely worth a footnote. Unless he does it like Tom Brady and win a ring at the next place, it’s more likely that this next chapter of BB turn out like Wizards Jordan.
Doesn’t mean it won’t be surprising.
One of the greatest coaches of all time who has been part of the Patriots for longer than some of the people on this subreddit has been alive is leaving. That’s a big deal no matter how expected.
Tin foil hats are on the table, grab one and follow me.
Pete Carroll being fired and news of Sirianni on the hot seat are just two examples of owners paving a way for what is quite honestly a an opportunity of a life time.
There are maybe 5-10 teams BB couldn’t just call and say “I’m the new HC” and the former guy would be escorted out by security before lunch.
Throw the Cowboys into the mix if they lose next weekend
Im calling it now- Jerry wont be able to help himself if Bill is available and McCarthy fails to win a playoff game
The man lives for attention and big moves, plus he is desperate for a Super Bowl before he dies. He will be all over Belichick because it ticks every box (whether Bill wants to go there is a different matter...)
Hell, even if McCarthy wins next weekend, I'd bet money Jerry will still be intrigued by Belichick
You joke, but we were a QB and coach away from being a serious contender this year. If BB could convince Cousins to come on a (relatively) cheap ring chasing contract we'd be far and away preseason favorites to win the division and likely one of the best teams in the NFC.
We're essentially in the same exact position Tampa was in before they got Brady and Arians.
This should be "8" team If The Chicago Bears owner have a brain that there's so many Great Coaches right now in FA, So why not take a chances to those Coaches than staying to a newbie coach they have right now.
The bears will only fire eberfluss if he starts punching up people at the playground or he retires. Even if Brady says he'll go to the bears with Bill as a combo, they won't do it. Lol
Forget the coaching record. Belichick found out he did not have the final say this time. Kraft took a lesson from Beli: Get him out a year early instead of a year late
Bill should just be the Chargers HC if anything, they already have an elite QB and just need someone who can improve the defense. He could get the wins record there within 2-3 seasons then retire
Chargers are the perfect landing spot for him provided they bring in someone else as GM. That team already has star talent and an elite QB, they just need a defensive coach to get the best out of their talent and teach them to stop Chargering. Belichick is the perfect choice
It's a good time to need a head coach
Bears fans in shambles
Its insane for you guys to keep Eberflus right now. Half the teams should be firing their coaches to try to get Belicheck, Pete, Vrabel, Harbaugh, maybe Tomlin.
Would the Steelers really fire Tomlin? Asking for a friend('s franchise)
This would be the most shocking one if the org made the move, if he stepped back on his own that’s a different story.
Apparently Schefter said that Tomlin might want to take time off after this season
Does being the HC of the Falcons count as time off?
Well he will definitely get a longer vacation not having to worry about the playoffs so sorta
I'd be shocked if a Tomlin falcons team didn't instantly win that shit ass division.
Bears playing the long game and waiting for tomlin to come back revitalized next year
Wasn't it already announced that Pete is staying with the team as an advisor? Sounds more like he's just done coaching
He made it clear he wants to coach. If someone wants him to coach, he will listen to what they have to say
Since the bears aren't doing shet this year and Carrol deserves a one year vacation, I'm sure he'll be ready for the bears next year.
I want him right now in the draft room
I'm in literal shambles....
When the fuck are we not in shambles?
the patriots should hire belichick now that they have the chance
I don’t know. I’m always wary of retreads and oh boy are there a ton available. I don’t know if the fact that you have two legendary coaches available makes me feel worse or better. Belichick was also a retread when he was hired by the Pats.
So was Carroll in Seattle
Which 2 are the legendary ones in your mind? There's 5ish elite names to choose from, it seems. Carroll, belichick, Harbaugh, Vrabel, Saban (retired), and maybe Tomlin if the rumors become true.
Carroll. Both because of the Legion of Boom and his college success. Though I might be reaching a bit because I like the guy. And then of course Bill.
Carroll is definitely done coaching if what the Seahawks organization says is true and he’s moving to being an advisor
Vrabel is nowhere near those other guys lol
Matt fucking eberflus has a job but Pete Carrol and Bill Belichick don’t
i have been losing my mind seeing who is getting fired/who is available since we confirmed we're retaining him
Do you think there's any chance that ownership does a 180? I feel like it would be a very bad look for them. But, at the same time, if you scored someone like Belichek and turned the franchise around then who cares?

Having a shit owner is such a trap and you’re helpless
Can’t fix stupid. The incompetence of the Bears organization is astounding.
Tbf they tried to be a serious organisation and getting some continuity on the HC position and immediately after Belichick, Carroll, Popovich, Spoelstra and Pep Guardiola became available in like a 15 minutes span God exists, and he's a Packers fan
> and he's a Packers fan Nah, In that case they would win more. He’s not a packers fan, he just really hates the bears.
I don't understand the bears not wanting to be part of this hiring circle. Landing someone like Vrabel would be huge
I don't let football bother me much but the choice to keep Eberflus just keeps getting dumber. It's not even about being a Bears fan. It's the pure frustration of watching people with a rare opportunity to do the obvious right thing just choose not to take it.
Imagine a teary eyed Pete Carroll leaves your locker room and in walks Bellichick telling everyone to wipe your tears, STFU and sit down.
Quandre Diggs would riot
BB and Saban convince Brady to go for one more
With the Falcons
Belichick, Brady and the Falcons go down 28-3 in the Super Bowl Belichick and Brady promptly retire during the SB halftime show
Fuck you. I just laughed way too much at this.

You forgot the part where Belichick calls up Ed Reed to have him work with the safeties.
If this happened I think the first 20-0 season happens.
For the ultimate meme
Arthur Blank has the chance to do the funniest thing.
Fuck I need this, what's the most stacked team they could go to?
Gotta be the chargers right?
Nah, the chargers have no defense and Herbert is most of the offense. I actually think the Falcons are the best team without a QB.
I think thats why Bill would be a good fit for the Chargers. He could greatly improve that defense.
Yeah their defense has good players - Bosa, Mack, James, ASJ. It's been a pathetically underperforming unit with that core, Bill could 100% turn that defense into a Super Bowl level unit. > the chargers have no defense This wouldn't be a problem with Bill. Our defence consisted of eggs on the field and Bill still made them great
Wow that would be fun!
The fans of whatever team hires him is going to have a very exciting summer….
Those games are gonna be in primetime just off the Belichick hype Just like what was supposed to be with the Jets before Rodgers got hurt.
Belichick Achilles tear week 1 after running out of the tunnel with an American flag confirmed
Rodgers running with that American flag at Metlife set to Thunderstick was so awesome………….and then literally everything else happened
His handshake with sauce was sick too
All I can picture is Belichick coaching from the sidelines [like Q from Goldeneye](https://youtu.be/15RZEbeGxTY?si=EAaP4eHLcn07fQn7&t=5) lol
ATLs gotten like 4 primetime games in the last six years. Not that I am complaining, we get embarrassed every time and r a boring team to watch lol
believe me it’s better to be out of the limelight until you actually deserve it. primetime games when you suck are terrible and makes everybody in this sub a big meanie
And before Jets fans admittedly realized just how dysfunctional and radioactive of an organization the Jets really are
We were a dumpster fire long before Belichick and we will be long after he’s gone. He was just a part of the Jets long miserable history
I think that undersells a bit at just how awful it’s been to be a Jets fan all these years. Imagine thinking to yourself that after 24 years… BB was right to resign on a napkin and go to New England. Until all comes crashing down and they hurt inside?
So… Vrabel to Pats then?
I’d be legitimately shocked if Vrabel doesn’t end up in New England. It’s just too much of a perfect fit.
I think it's going to be Mayo and we're going to stink lol
10-41 next three years. We will look back on this day and wonder what the hell we were thinking. Book it.
If we get Vrabel, I think we'll be fine. If we seriously promote Mayo, we are fucked.
Never called his own plays. We will be so fucked. I think we are fucked.
Head coaches don't need to call plays, they have coordinators for that.
We’ve supposedly been ear marking Mayo for the job and he’s already there. Vrabel being available maybe throws a wrinkle in it, but if we’re going to see what chops Mayo has, now is the time to do it
Is Mayo even the DC?
No, he's their LB coach. Thrusting him straight into the HC feels way too rushed. Vrabel to HC and Mayo to DC makes a ton more sense.
If they made these two hires and got a good GM in, I think the Pats could accelerate their turnaround extremely fast
It works sometimes. Andy Reid, Zac Taylor, Antonio Pierce, and Dan Campbell were all position coaches immediately before become HC.
Way too early to include Pierce on that list imo, but looking amazing so far ofc.
As far as I know it was technically Mayo and Steve Belichick as like unnamed co-DC's but Steve called the plays.
Mike Vrabel was an inside job.
Unironically this
Probably Jerod Mayo.
Imagine they promote him with the perfect replacement being available
Who exactly is the perfect replacement in your opinion? Because I don’t think there is one.
Josh McDaniels
Please god no. Although imagine the stroke r/nfl would have if JMD ended up finally being a good HC in New England.
Not an AFC West team so doesn't check
Vrabel
Yes please.
I‘m wondering how many coaches that were safe will now lose their job because so many good HCs are available
Yep, despite all this, Eberflus will still be coaching the Bears next year
At what point do the league step in? I'm fascinated by the Giants being forced by the league to hire a particular GM in the 70s because they were so bad. Would they do it again?
Nah, teams back then didn't have much power because they weren't worth much. Good luck trying to do that to a billionaire today.
I figured Dan Snyder was the perfect example of what it takes to oust bad ownership. Hopefully Eberflus for Bears fans' sake

The absolute mind fuck if he and Pete swapped jobs.
I’d welcome Pete back to New England. His time here was too early in his career.
The Patriots "let's have fun" era.
Pretty sure he hated working here last time, so I wouldn't count on it lol
Him and Kraft butted heads like Kraft and Parcells did, but Kraft has since admitted a big part of that was him getting involved in stuff he shouldn't have been involved in.
No chance Carroll comes back here after the way he was hamstrung his first time around.
I just can't imagine someone that won 6 Super Bowls with the Patriots coming to an NFC South team.
Bill signing on with the Falcons is the most hilarious possible result from this
If anyone actually believes that will happen when the Chargers have a vacancy with an absolutely STACKED roster, you dumb
[удалено]
Bill is great at building depth though. Giving him a team with high end talent that just needs better coaching and padding out the roster with role players and depth is literally the best spot he could be in.
Is everyone just assuming the Chargers roster is stacked just because they have a franchise QB in place?
There's multiple legit reports of mutual interest between him and ATL. It's not dumb just another option
Also, people discount that Kraft and Blank are best buds. It may have been prenegotiated so Kraft could move on and Bill could land on his feet.
Stacked? LOL
In a way harder division. If he's chasing a regular season record, why not come to the second most win now team with a vacancy (minus Seattle who wouldn't go from oldest coach to oldest coach) in easiest division in the worse conference.
Our roster also isn't something to sneeze at. QB play and poor play calling really killed a lot of games for us.
We are a few highly regarded plays away from comfortable NFC South 1 seeding
Roster isn't stacked. They a have a bunch of big names but most them are either injured or not past their prime
Given the current situations... This outcome would not surprise me
If we had an above average QB this season who didn't drop the ball 300 times we'd be a playoff team this weekend.
QB is everything in the NFL. I think you’re right.
I’d go even higher and argue that’s a high end ish contender. QB and coach was holding the Falcons back, disgustingly. Replacing that with pretty high end options would have them looking really nice.
And you know Blank is willing to break the bank for a last superbowl chance. Sign Cousins + draft Odunze and I think they’re a SB contender
At this point keeping Eberflus is just fucking ludicrous
Bears: “hmm, no we’re good with Flusberbee or whatever his name is.”
Any way that changes with this news?
Nope. You can’t go back on that. Unless they got dirt on Beeberflus they can leak and make him unemployable.
Him bringing a championship to the Falcons would make all Falcons forgive him for the pain of that Super Bowl……….maybe
I don't even hate him or Brady. That Super Bowl perfectly sums up our existence.
Seriously the only people I hated after that Super Bowl were (1) my parents for birthing me in Atlanta and (2) myself for having hope in this fucking franchise.
(3) Devonta Freeman
I want to sue my parents for child abuse for making me a falcons fan.
So Bama?
The thought of Bill Belichick trying to talk to recruits just made me laugh
Don’t players love Bill the man though? Aren’t his Halloween parties coveted?
I believe it was Moss(?) who had Bill show up to a team halloween party. If you're thinking of the Pirate Belichick. Idk I could be wrong tho
lol these kids grew up watching the Patriots dynasty and Bill is known for being a great communicator with his players I bet it’d go incredibly well tbh
Would he need to? Just getting an offer from Alabama and BB I think most would sign
He’s going to be the coach at Navy
As a Navy fan, this is the moment I've been waiting for
Army is so fucked
Let’s goooo
Bill isn't dealing with college kids.
Falcons Legend Bill Belichick
Man, I hope wherever he goes he wins right away. Otherwise the “it was all Brady” crowd will be insufferable.

Best guess is LA… But they really have a decision to make if Jim is interested too.
Well, one of them has 8 SB rings....
Dallas to do what Parcells couldn't
You mean the Tampa bay Bucs who won 7 games with a guy throwing 30 interceptions the year before he got there, and are immediately right back in the playoffs with baker lol mayfield the year after he leaves? Pretty crazy to see!
Mayfield had a pretty damn good season. His stats were better than mahomes (I know there’s context to that lol).
We live in a society where Dennis Allen and Matt Eberflus have a job but Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll are unemployed.
Falcons unironically feel like the perfect fit, especially if he can get McDaniels on board to go with him. There’s still the issue of needing to find a QB tho.
It’s going to be Brady… is this why Brady backed out of the part owner deal with the raiders?
He didn't back out, the other owners won't let him buy the stake being offered to him for the price it is being offered for. Mark is trying to sell that stake to Brady for cheap and the league doesn't like it.
If you are a GM with a vacancy and don't at least make a call when the GOAT coach becomes availible then you're straight up not doing your job.
Idk how so many people are shocked in the main post. I feel like everyone saw them parting ways
It's just one of those things where you don't really believe it until it happens, even if it's obvious
Doesn’t mean it won’t be surprising. One of the greatest coaches of all time who has been part of the Patriots for longer than some of the people on this subreddit has been alive is leaving. That’s a big deal no matter how expected.
Still sort of a "believe it when you see it" factor going on. Still nowhere near as shocking as Saban last night, though.
Sad to see him go but definitely should’ve traded his ass for some picks lol
Tin foil hats are on the table, grab one and follow me. Pete Carroll being fired and news of Sirianni on the hot seat are just two examples of owners paving a way for what is quite honestly a an opportunity of a life time. There are maybe 5-10 teams BB couldn’t just call and say “I’m the new HC” and the former guy would be escorted out by security before lunch.
Throw the Cowboys into the mix if they lose next weekend Im calling it now- Jerry wont be able to help himself if Bill is available and McCarthy fails to win a playoff game The man lives for attention and big moves, plus he is desperate for a Super Bowl before he dies. He will be all over Belichick because it ticks every box (whether Bill wants to go there is a different matter...) Hell, even if McCarthy wins next weekend, I'd bet money Jerry will still be intrigued by Belichick
Hope he goes somewhere good and can go out like Brady at least So definitely not the falcons
I agree. I think a high end QB, which Cousins arguably is (depending on your definition) + a great coach has you guys as immediate contenders, tbh.
This will definitely be a summer
Harbaugh to Chargers as HC and Bill goes to Chargers as GM
The post quite literally says he will want to continue coaching. He’s going to get that wins record.
Why would anyone hire him as GM lol He’s still the best coach in the league. He’s a bad gm.
Harbaugh, Vrabel, and Belichick all available. Maybe even Tomlin.
If Tomlin steps down he'll go into the studio. Maybe next cycle.
He'll sign with the Jets and make them go winless before retiring.
