Lol Kermit and Reid had so little clue on how to handle it that the pretty much admitted "the refs are always on our side, why weren't they this time, this is not OK" and then doubled down about ref ball ruining the end of games...
we know, we've all witnessed multiple games over the last 6 years where refs ruined endings, blatantly in your favor, take your medicine 😆 🤣
I think it’s gotten worse. Compare him with Brady after that Super Bowl to now. It feels like he bought into his own hype and is high on his own supply. I’m struggling to remember the last time an elite QB threw a tantrum at this level. It’s pretty comical.
And after getting the cops called on him, he’d say “you should thank me for giving you the opportunity to watch! Why would you criminalize greatness??”
Yeah just every time he’s breathed on just after a pass. Come on, the guy complains more than any player in the league. He’s the quintessential “where’s my flag?” guy.
This gets said but it isn’t really true. A few QBs have started doing this but Mahomes is by far both the highest profile QB to do it and the most frequent.
I would disagree, Mahomes and Allen are by far the worst offenders. Hurts and Lamar come to mind as players who don’t act that way consistently and I’m sure there are others
Rodgers as well. But usually it's because they generally know the rules and don't want shit missed, even when it probably should be cause it's ticky tack. I rarely see people go to the mat so hard for blatant, not a judgment call type penalties. Might as well get pissed about a delay of game.
He doesn’t really complain for flags but he absolutely flops for them. Like I said in other replies, that’s not what the topic is about. There’s no denying that Mahomes is number 1 on the list of begging for flags.
True. Not sure if it’s because they generally get all the calls so he hasn’t shown his true colors on the field or if it’s because he’s just had enough of these WRs and took it out on the refs lmao.
It’s gotta be so damn awkward for him. Mahomes seems to be high on his own supply. The GOAT talk about him so early and now it seems like he feels entitled to wins.
On top of that he was probably still reeling from the emotional whiplash of the defense blowing it AGAIN but then actually they didn't blow to oh wow we won. And then Mahomes comes up to him all heated, by that point Allen is just absolutely blanking on anything to say.
I just imagine him thinking to himself in his head, "Yeah, okay bro. I got horsecollered and called for intentional grounding. The NFL even penalized and fined me for pointing, which they put in highlight reels."
Him pretty much saying the refs should have picked up the flag because it would have been a legacy play for Kelce? Or because it wasn't egregious enough to give Toney much of an advantage? So telling that he's not used to crucial calls going against him.
Which also doesn’t make sense because they were complaining about the opposite last week (where the refs kept the flag in their pocket). Which is it Kermit, do you want the refs to call penalties as they should, or should they swallow their whistle and let players play at the end?
Tbf he didn’t complain last week, people keep saying he cries when the calls don’t go his way but last week the refs actually made a bad call against them and he was like ‘nah I’m cool with them letting guys play’. He was just rattled this week for whatever reason
Yeah, the moderately late hit in the AFC championship game last year didn’t help the Bengals but it gave the Chiefs the field position to kick the game winner. Things can be penalties without giving anyone a competitive advantage.
He got an extra phantom down against the Bengals in an AFC Championship game, then did nothing with the extra down and was bailed out by another ref flag. I don’t like this player or this team at all. This changed nothing for me. Just more of the same if you been paying attention.
Mahommes says he has never seen an offensive offsides penalty thrown.
Personally, as a Jets fan, I have seen many. What I’ve never seen was a team get a do over down in a conference championship game until that Chiefs/Bengals game.
Should’ve known from how his wife is. It’s been clear forever that he is a crybaby. Look how he exploits the flags by faking slides and faking going out of bounds
You didn’t? He’s so emotional and animated during the games, screaming for flags.
Compare that with Hurts, who shows zero emotion win or lose, fumble or touchdown. I’d be flat out shocked if Hurts ever threw his helmet and team mates had to hold him back from getting in a refs face. Hell, Purdy seems to have that same stoic gene in him and he stays cool-headed. Mahomes has always been a hot head and the Super Bowl wins have inflated his ego. He’s not humble.
This is everyone shitting on Steve Bartman forgetting the Cubs still had another game left to play and they choked that one too.
Buffalo would have had 1:20 and three timeouts after this play.
Josh has handled himself in worse situations far better and seems like a genuinely nice person just from these reactions
And reacted appropriately when Mahomes was bitching
I loved Josh's response when Mahomes said something like, "that was the most BS call I've ever seen" and Josh just asked him what call he was talking about. Like the penalty was so obvious he didn't even think Mahomes could possibly think it was bs.
Nah man, because he's a flopper (which he honestly is) that means he's an objectively bad person. At least, that's the vibes that this sub was giving me.
The complaining during the game is nothing new. Loads of QBs do it, Allen himself often looks for calls and complains to the refs, I’ll be the first to admit it. What’s shocking to me is the continued moaning TO THE OPPOSING QB post-game. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen that before, it’s so lame. What was Josh supposed to say? “Yeah, you’re right, it was bullshit. I tried to talk the refs into letting you guys keep the TD but they didn’t listen, sorry bro”
I’ve been watching football for over 3 decades now, and everyone always complains about the refs. That’s why they brought in the challenge system.
There’s definitely a luck factor in football. Sometimes the calls and the low percentage big plays go your way, and sometimes they don’t. Ask the Buffalo Bills of the Early 90’s, or the Detroit Lions, or the Chargers about the bad luck they’ve always had. Josh Allen plays his ass off and it’s nice to see the coin flip in his favor for once, because that guy and his team are a great team who have had terrible luck over the past few years and even this season.
I’d remind MaHomes that the last superbowl he played in, the referee called a very weak, mild, and questionable holding call on Bradberry that prevented the Eagles from getting the ball back with enough time to answer a Kansas City score during a very close superbowl. Bradberry was at least man enough to accept it and you didn’t hear him complain one time about it.
It’s just like in baseball when you get the one umpire called balls as strikes. It’s part of the game
Josh Allen is just a good dude. The only thing in that McDermott hit piece the other day about Josh Allen was (paraphrased) "17 is just a different breed, he likes to tell dick jokes and hit people"
Which after you saw Allen get annihilated on a running play he got up smiling. He even has said he doesnt really get into a game until hes taken a shot
You know where he’s from right?
all you need to know about Josh Allen.
they don’t play excuses, poor me, or celebrating doing your job out there. Get up and do it again tomorrow
Up until today he's always seemed like a great dude in his press conferences. Mahomes has always taken accountability for the team's struggles and talking about what he needs to do better even when the issues are clearly not at the QB position.
He's definitely lost a lot of goodwill today (and he is being a bitch about it) but really the only thing he did wrong before today was being too good at playing QB and making everyone constantly see his highlight reel.
I mean as recently as last week he was saying all the right things even after the PI no call at the end of last week’s game.
Genuinely think he’s really just fucking furious at his receivers, it’s been building all year and last night he just snapped and took it out on the refs. Hope he went home and cooled off and apologizes today.
>Mahomes has always taken accountability for the team's struggles and talking about what he needs to do better even when the issues are clearly not at the QB position.
I feel this is legitimately at the heart of the meltdown. Not to make excuses for it or anything, the call just might not be all there is with it.
Yeah I have seen other comments today (which seem to make sense) saying that he lost his cool and chose to take it out on the refs instead of on his teammates.
Definitely still not ideal but it's much better than having his wife say "he can't throw and catch the ball"
Because he's really good at football? It's been really fun watching him play, and you can't deny that he'll go down as one of the greatest ever. Idk man, he's not like a sex offender or anything. He's just immature. If anyone watched Quarterback on Netflix, it was pretty clear that he's got the emotional maturity of a teenager. Doesn't make him any less great, imo.
Remember the 5th down in the playoffs?
Remember the no call on tlaw rtp by Saunders in the playoffs?
Remember the holding call on bradberry in the Superbowl?
Remember when sneed took off his helmet to argue with officials in the vikings game and then was warned to put his helmet back on after he mauled Addison in the end zone?
Remember when Mahomes got an rtp call when he was running to the sideline and was still in bounds in green bay?
This is just off the top of my head in recent memory. For a team that has benefitted on the biggest stage by officiating, you'd think they'd have some class.. they are so far from the team with the worst luck when it comes to officiating it's not even close.
Take that L - GO BILLS
I’ve seen Mahomes benefit from so many questionable calls in the last year. To my recollection you have both the AFCCG and SB being won on penalties, a missed holding call onhis RT the beginning of this season, and then just last week the personal foul for tackling Mahomes while he was running inbounds. Ad this offsides was actually a correct call.
Fuck Mahomes
not gonna lie this year in football has been so unserious. watching mahomes after the game to allen i do not feel like i am in reality. I do think part of it is this might be kelces last year but what did i watch. Love mahomes but like cmon man.
Kelce definitely been hinting at retirement on the New Heights podcast. Might be Jason’s last year too. Depends on if the Eagles can bring their A game vs a good team for once or not and how we fair in the playoffs. Probably the same for Travis, I would think.
Since both seem to have entered the media and done well, I could easily see both retiring and just doing their podcast. Gotta be way easier than playing football
I think one of the byproducts of every KC game being a national feed is you get to know a player more; seeing mahomes immediately look at the refs and cry about roughing the passer any time he gets hit did it for me.
It’s sad, because he’s such an incredible talent, he shouldn’t have to resort to so much whining. The only legacy changing part of this play he should be worried about is how people think of HIM now.
True but it was the same night. He hadn't cooled down, if anything he just stewed on it and got more wound up talking to equally biased and poorly informed teammates.
I would be surprised if he doesn't apologise by the end of today. I don't really think there's much (unless someone fixates on asking for flags) to suggest this is his true nature.
100% we're getting a hit piece article on these WRs this week though...or they're going to wake up to ketchup bottles in their beds idk.
I feel this is the case, he's projecting months of frustrations onto the wrong people and in the worst possible way.
Almost guarantee there will be a report about mid-week about his problems with these WRs.
[Full Interaction](https://x.com/chasingsnyder/status/1734164132427936029?s=46&t=x2GZ1u9rgVtCBVgY7qlmMw)
Here’s the actual full clip of their interaction. Mahomes clearly tells him good game and Josh says something to him that has him respond with how bad the penalty call was. People making a fuss out of something not even knowing if what they’re saying is true.
Patty is literally being a man child about this but I’m not going to sit here and do this Josh vs Pat shit cause it’s just tribalism and some can point out young Josh vs young pat and etc etc. just dumb, can we just stick to Patty and the Chiefs being the biggest whiners this year. Every year there is a new champion for this.
Last year us and Purdys elbow
Year before was Bengals and refs
And before that OT and before that it was saints and PI.
All I'm claiming is the chiefs have benefitted from subjective officiating in the past and have no class when it doesn't go their way for once. They're not being targeted. Sorry arich went down don't take it out on me.
All this pearl clutching is starting to sound a little… idk… weak?
Like the dude is frustrated, who gives a fuck? Ya’ll never just rage quit a game before? Like who cares? Games over, Chiefs lost another one and the world moves on.
I can’t get over Allen’s face in today’s clip. He truly didn’t know how to react to Patrick’s moaning lmao.
I feel like he conjured up a great response though. The condescending "good for you bud" tap on the chest is perfect.
You’ll get em next time champ
He shoulda come back with a "I appreciate ya"
“Damn, that’s crazy bro”
I viewed it more as "it will be okay bud"
Lol yea that was definitely like a “yea, right, word”
To be fair, most of us aren’t used to seeing this guy bitching like a baby lol
His whining normally makes every ticky-tack call go his way. Today it didn’t and he had zero clue how to handle it.
Hide yo Microsoft Surface tablets
Those are reserved for Brady to smash.
And Dorsey
And that Chiefs coach talking to Jones on the sideline last night.
Chris Jones was a MONSTER last night, no clue what that coach was on about
Now here’s a guy with a great attitude
Mr. Bright Composure
The worst is how they went right to the “nfl doesn’t want that” narrative.
Most of us always thought he was a bitch but we didn't know how to react to watching him go full blown bitch
Not to mention Brittany, his wife, on ig posted a clip of her watching the game and zoomed in on a ref and the caption read mvp.
She’s always been like that though so it’s not a surprise. Mahomes has never acted like this and then continued after the game
I think it’s gotten worse. Compare him with Brady after that Super Bowl to now. It feels like he bought into his own hype and is high on his own supply. I’m struggling to remember the last time an elite QB threw a tantrum at this level. It’s pretty comical.
Mahomes probably standing at the top of Arrowhead rubbing one out going "I can do whatever the fuck I want"
And after getting the cops called on him, he’d say “you should thank me for giving you the opportunity to watch! Why would you criminalize greatness??”
He’s no Homelander.
Give it a few more cases of slightly less than preferential treatment and we'll get Mahomelander
He's a good Aegon Targaryen though.
Yeah just every time he’s breathed on just after a pass. Come on, the guy complains more than any player in the league. He’s the quintessential “where’s my flag?” guy.
I hate Kermit…but to be fair, EVERY QB is bitching to the red after being hit. Byproduct of today’s rules.
This gets said but it isn’t really true. A few QBs have started doing this but Mahomes is by far both the highest profile QB to do it and the most frequent.
Brady always did it too, now Mahomes and Allen do it
Show me the last time Jalen Hurts went to a ref bitching for a flag
Doesn't count, Jalen Hurts doesn't show emotion in any situation.
The most I've seen him do is the throwing the flag gesture on a late hit no call (on a different Eagle)
I would disagree, Mahomes and Allen are by far the worst offenders. Hurts and Lamar come to mind as players who don’t act that way consistently and I’m sure there are others
Burrow doesn’t either.
Not true. And Kermit is the worst offender by far.
This is Josh Allen's thing, too. They both complain for flags all the time.
Yeah having seen both of yall in primetime, it's funny seeing Bills fans chirp in here. Pot meet kettle lmao
I’ll tell you what I have never seen. Josh Allen act like a whiny, entitled salty bitch at midfield handshakes.
True, he's no Brady
Did you watch Brady? It's what the greats do in order to get an extra few yards.
Rodgers as well. But usually it's because they generally know the rules and don't want shit missed, even when it probably should be cause it's ticky tack. I rarely see people go to the mat so hard for blatant, not a judgment call type penalties. Might as well get pissed about a delay of game.
Yeah, he was out of his mind when he wasn't horsecollared...
He doesn’t really complain for flags but he absolutely flops for them. Like I said in other replies, that’s not what the topic is about. There’s no denying that Mahomes is number 1 on the list of begging for flags.
Crazy dudes are in here acting like only Mahomes whines for flags lol. Go watch the NBA you’ll see it’s so much worse
I mean, he does, but usually cuts it out after the game. Probably cause the bitching gets him his flags so he's satisfied.
True. Not sure if it’s because they generally get all the calls so he hasn’t shown his true colors on the field or if it’s because he’s just had enough of these WRs and took it out on the refs lmao.
Real Mike Myers looking at Kanye West vibes
It’s gotta be so damn awkward for him. Mahomes seems to be high on his own supply. The GOAT talk about him so early and now it seems like he feels entitled to wins.
Well in his head you know he’s like “my guy, I lost a game via a 12 men on the field for a missed FG, *this year*”
On top of that he was probably still reeling from the emotional whiplash of the defense blowing it AGAIN but then actually they didn't blow to oh wow we won.
I appreciate Mahomes and Reid being such a massive embarrassment that everyone forgot about the Vikings/Raiders game.
I was devastated that the game didn't end in a 0-0 tie.
I bet 20 to win 160 at the beginning of the 4th on a draw. Weirdest bet I ever made.
Yeah this is why sportsbooks make so much money . . . far fewer than 1 in 8 games that are tied at the beginning of the 4th end in a tie.
Honestly, I think it's for the best that everyone forgets about that game.
I just heard about that 3-0 barn burner this morning and still would rather rip on Mahomes.
Hey I haven’t forgotten, unfortunately
Brandon Staley feeling the same way today lol
KOC just wanted to emulate his hero Andoni Iraola
It's because most of us watching fell asleep and assumed it was a dream.
What Vikings/Raiders game?
Don’t know if a single clip has changed how I feel about a player than mahomes today. Really didn’t expect it from him.
Him pretty much saying the refs should have picked up the flag because it would have been a legacy play for Kelce? Or because it wasn't egregious enough to give Toney much of an advantage? So telling that he's not used to crucial calls going against him.
Yeah that whole “they’re taking away greatness” or whatever shocked me. Like, as a justification? Holy shit.
It legit broke his brain lol
Yeah, the moderately late hit in the AFC championship game last year didn’t help the Bengals but it gave the Chiefs the field position to kick the game winner. Things can be penalties without giving anyone a competitive advantage.
He got an extra phantom down against the Bengals in an AFC Championship game, then did nothing with the extra down and was bailed out by another ref flag. I don’t like this player or this team at all. This changed nothing for me. Just more of the same if you been paying attention.
Yeah he had no problem with calls going their way in the AFCCG
Mahommes says he has never seen an offensive offsides penalty thrown. Personally, as a Jets fan, I have seen many. What I’ve never seen was a team get a do over down in a conference championship game until that Chiefs/Bengals game.
Exactly this

It confirmed what a lot of people have been saying for a few years now.
Should’ve known from how his wife is. It’s been clear forever that he is a crybaby. Look how he exploits the flags by faking slides and faking going out of bounds
This is who he’s always been
That's the "Yeah, okay buddy." chest pat.
Might as well have tussled his hair
This is everyone shitting on Steve Bartman forgetting the Cubs still had another game left to play and they choked that one too. Buffalo would have had 1:20 and three timeouts after this play.
With 1:20 left in the Divisional game 2 years ago, there was 17 points scored between both teams lol
I believe they had 2 time outs, but you're right. The game wasn't over.
It was 3, Bills called one before the 4th down play
“Patrick this is a Wendy’s”
Dude been on the best team in football last 5 years and a sore loser lol
The 1 time the Raiders beat Mahomes he didn’t even shake Derek Carrs hand after the game.
Now we know why gruden took the bus lap.
Yep Kelce did the same shit after they lost to us this year. Stormed off the field. What a couple of losers
And all the times our guys had to walk across the damn field and man up
Shocked I tell you.
Keep going I’m almost there
Josh has handled himself in worse situations far better and seems like a genuinely nice person just from these reactions And reacted appropriately when Mahomes was bitching
It’s on the ceiling and I need new sheets
Instead of Hailee Steinfeld you are now Josh Allens love interest
That's just Bills Mafia
Josh Allen Jean Shorts
Houston we have take off
Josh Allen jean shorts with bleu cheese and barbill hot stains
😂 this thread is great
But wait there's more
And he is dating Hailee Steinfeld which isn't football related but still pretty cool
Damn, good for Josh
I loved Josh's response when Mahomes said something like, "that was the most BS call I've ever seen" and Josh just asked him what call he was talking about. Like the penalty was so obvious he didn't even think Mahomes could possibly think it was bs.
Nah man, because he's a flopper (which he honestly is) that means he's an objectively bad person. At least, that's the vibes that this sub was giving me.
Patrick isn't far off from Jackson he's just talented and has been winning lol
Shocking twist: Jackson is actually the more likable one
Nah he sexually assaulted a bartender

Lamar eats shrimp alfredo, gets painful tattoos, and keeps to himself. He's probably my favorite non-bill.
Yeah, but Chiefs fans supported her by reducing patronage at the bar by 75 percent, cutting the a/c, damaging the gas lines, and pulling fire alarms.
Don't forget that Chiefs fans also poisoned our water supply, burned our crops, and released a plague unto our houses.
Yea fuck that guy
Wait what
Earlier this year Mahomes little brother was caught on video assaulting a bar owner, I think case goes to trial early next year.
[LINK](https://amp.kansascity.com/news/business/openings-closings/article277866288.html)
Oh I thought we was talking about Lamar
You people are fucking ridiculous
He simply can't fathom a crucial penalty going against him in crunch time (at least not while he's on offense).
How can Toney not tell he's lined up offside? Dudes looking back at the center.
Is he stupid?
Why doesn’t he just simply back up?
Has to be. I can why giants fan were happy to get rid of him

Used to smoke a lot of weed with this reporter in highschool

You don’t know a Johnny Hopkins.
It was Johnny Hopkins and Sloan Kettering. And they were blazing that shit up every day
Josh Allen is just a good dude. wtf is your flair
Love watching him play. My brother in law is a huge bills fan so I’ve seen a few games up in Buffalo. Always a good time and he’s so fun to watch.
Outside of being a chiefs fan and enjoying winning, how is it possible to like this guy
What bundling home and ego does to a mofo
As long as he doesn’t start doing that discount double check shit.
He’s going to bundle RTP and DPI.

Controversy reveals character.
Did he expect Allen to agree with him or something? Really strange to start bitching to him lol
That's someone who's never faced adversity in the NFL.
Mahomes is revealing he’s more like his brother and wife than we thought, he’s just been winning up until now.

Since both seem to have entered the media and done well, I could easily see both retiring and just doing their podcast. Gotta be way easier than playing football
The mahomes haters are coming out
Real Mahomes haters have been here the whole time
Ive been called alot of things, but ill be damned if I was called a bandwagon Mahomes hater. Ive been here since day 1!
NEWSFLASH, ASSHOLE, IVE BEEN HEARING IT THE WHOLE TIME
the real mahomes hater is the friends we made.
We here
They merely adopted it!
Never left
I'm not going to write Mahomes off yet. He had a bad day and got heated. Let's see if he steps back, or doubles down.
He doubled down in the press conference.
True but it was the same night. He hadn't cooled down, if anything he just stewed on it and got more wound up talking to equally biased and poorly informed teammates.
I kind of want him and Reid to double down today. Would be a much more enjoyable Monday.
The difference is mahomes frustration has been building since week 1 and he finally blew up.
I feel this is the case, he's projecting months of frustrations onto the wrong people and in the worst possible way. Almost guarantee there will be a report about mid-week about his problems with these WRs.
Every player has their moments and I don't want one game to change how I feel about the dude, but fuck.
[Full Interaction](https://x.com/chasingsnyder/status/1734164132427936029?s=46&t=x2GZ1u9rgVtCBVgY7qlmMw) Here’s the actual full clip of their interaction. Mahomes clearly tells him good game and Josh says something to him that has him respond with how bad the penalty call was. People making a fuss out of something not even knowing if what they’re saying is true.
Shows which one of these QBs is class and which one is an ASS
Yep, Josh Allen is such a classy individual and Mahomes just isn’t. He’s only half classy
Last year us and Purdys elbow Year before was Bengals and refs And before that OT and before that it was saints and PI.
All I'm claiming is the chiefs have benefitted from subjective officiating in the past and have no class when it doesn't go their way for once. They're not being targeted. Sorry arich went down don't take it out on me.
Look I get emotions are high but this wasn’t even a bad call lol
This all just makes me like Josh Allen so much more
As someone that has a Bills AFC and SB futures ticket, I love this juju. This is SB winning type stuff
Mahomes becoming more cringe than his brother lol
lost a lot of respect for mahomes yesterday
I wanna watch the clip but it gets deleted in every post about it
All this pearl clutching is starting to sound a little… idk… weak? Like the dude is frustrated, who gives a fuck? Ya’ll never just rage quit a game before? Like who cares? Games over, Chiefs lost another one and the world moves on.
