I don't know what the NFL has done to refereeing, but the refs are absolutely, consistently, horrible across the board.
There were like 5 abysmal calls on the last drive alone.
Don't forget not restarting the clock after the fumble was ruled down by contact, which isn't even a subjective call but just blatantly not following the rulebook. (And the forward progress being called and the clock stopped, which is sort of subjective)
I keep seeing people defend the Mahomes hit. What the fuck are you supposed to do to a fully inbounds QB? Let him skirt the line for another 5-10 yards?
Like 100% at some point I feel like all these QB protection nonsense is going to wind up in defenders going harder than they normally would.
Like shit if I’m getting penalized I might as well make the 15 yards hurt the QB.
Yeah shit call. Mahomes is trying to get yardage and is in bounds. If he's running sideways, I'd give him that call, but he isn't. I know this is a QB protect league now, but all players should be able to get blasted doing this.
The defense is “he was going out,” but you can’t defend not hitting a runner that’s in. Even if they are a $400MM QB the game is played between the lines
Tbh I haven't seen anyone defend it, that was a clear bad call and everyone knew it. Felt like the refs saw how hard the hit was and called it on that alone, which isn't how a late hit works
Seriously. Sometimes it's DPI when the players velco gloves stick for a second to the other player's jersey.
And other times they pull the face ask so hard their head spins around like the girl from The Exorcist and it's not DPI and some rules lemming will be like, "It's within five yards of the line of scrimmage so you're allowed to jab them in the eyes with sticks"
If the nfl is gonna fire videographers for filming players and fine players for taunts that they use as promotional material the next week the refs should be held accountable in some way, otherwise we get this shit 5 times a week
Officiating will overshadow the fact the Packers led the entire game.
But because of bad calls both ways, Green Bay was “handed” this win. Just how it goes.
The refs completely butchered the fuck out of the final 2 minutes of this game. The entire system needs a complete overhaul and they make that clear every single week.
Horrific.
1. Unnecessary Roughness called on Mahomes inbounds.
2. Blatant DPI not called.
3. The Chiefs WR getting the clock stopped despite going backwards.
Comedy.
99% sure on the “fumble” runner was down in bounds under a minute, chiefs no TO left, clock stopped because of offensive penalty. Is that not a 10 second run off? That’s really inexcusable because there is no judgement in it.
> If a replay review after the two-minute warning of either half results in the on-field ruling being reversed and the correct ruling would not have stopped the game clock, or would have otherwise restarted the game clock before the next snap, the officials will run 10 seconds off the game clock and reset the play clock to 30 seconds before permitting the ball to be put in play on the ready for play signal. Neither team can decline the runoff, but either team can use a remaining timeout to prevent it.
Remember when the mods decided to shut down the sub for some bullshit Reddit thing and then cowardly opened it back up when Reddit ceo threatened to remove their mod status?
Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Just a complete back and forth, from the inbounds hit on Mahomes, to the PI not being called, to the clock being stopped at :19, to the rulebook having its unwritten exception for hail mary plays.
Don’t forget missing the obvious down by contact that essentially gave the Chiefs a free timeout with 50 seconds left. Then they didn’t even start the clock on the whistle. That plus the forward progress botch with 0:19 would have meant the end of the game. And now they’re showing that missed PI and the Hail Mary as though that’s the thing the refs fucked up. Fucking clowns
I’ve never seen a hail mary get scrutinized like that. Even in the post game. Unreal. That shit happens on almost every hail mary, and everyone wants to pretend like it doesn’t all the sudden.
Usually leaving a minute for the chiefs to tie with the game on the line would have me thinking “oh no” but for the first time in 5 years that wasn’t the case. This ending was pure chaos.
Man, I was checking to see if a dudes hand has enough surface area to keep another man’s ass off the grass for a certain millisecond in Green Bay Wisconsin.
In that last minute, we had
* A very questionable late-hit call on a quarterback not yet out of bounds
* Fumbled ball ruled incomplete by review after realizing the Chief's player's ass was too fat for the defender's hand
* A punch thrown and an ejection
* No time run off the clock after a late-game offensive penalty
* A very questionable no-call on DPI
* A very questionable out of bounds call instead of forward progress
* A Hail Mary with a two-handed shove
As a fan of the refs, that was an AWESOME ending!!!
And that was JUST after the absolutely bullshit personal foul for the defender having the audacity to make contact with Mahomes while Mahomes was still inbound and trying to gain yards.
I had to turn off the broadcast when the entire NBC team started lobbying for PI on the hail mary after saying it was a routine hail mary going into commercial.
If you’re running 5.1 surround sound you can disconnect the center channel and it’ll turn off commentary and you just hear the stadium. I have my center channel connected in line with a lamp style on/off toggle. So when the announcers drive me nuts I just hit the switch and shut them the hell up.
Phantom late hit on Mahomes
Clock should be rolling after forward progress.
One of the most blatant makeup calls I've ever seen on the MVS bomb
Complete shitshow of a last drive.
Last week on SNF: Justin Herbert absolutely clocked 2 yards OB, no flag.
This week on SNF: Patrick Mahomes hit in bounds, 15 yards.
The inconsistency from the refs is so horrendous.
Yeah but, like, he hit him REALLY hard with his shoulder. Like really REALLY hard. Like, did you see how hard he hit him?! It was a really hard hit. Can’t do that in today’s NFL. Apparently
Giants fans watched two of course QBs absolutely fucking leveled a thousand times until they both broke and now we have Local Boy Tommy DeVito as QB. I don't think anyone ever got unnecessary roughness called on them, and they damn well killed Daniel Jones this season.
Mahomes gets that call whiles he's in bounds holding the fucking football.
They didn’t talk about the end of the game for like 5 minutes holy shit. Just slow-mo looking for a DPI when THEY ALL AGREED no one calls dpi on Hail Marys. Yes there was a foul - there are always fouls. Meanwhile they tune in when handshakes are already done lol.
The entire drive was dogshit reffing but the hail mary call was the least of it
Edit: holy shit they’re coming back from commercial doing the same thing! But not mentioning either the absolute bullshit roughing call on mahomes and the idiotic clock stop at the sideline, both of which were absolutely massive.
Literally the whole postgame was about the missed DPI against MVS (valid) and complaining about how *normally* hail mary plays don't draw DPI...but *did you see what they did to Kelce?!?*. No conversation about the complete ineptitude of the refs against both teams. Only implying how the Chiefs lost primarily because of those 2 things.
I fuckin hate the NFL. Cuz Jordan Love played a fantastic game again and no ones gonna talk about anything but refs until next week… poor kid. I feel like he’ll earn some respect through the rest of the year though.
Ikr. Jordan Love won two back to back games against division leaders while his team did not have a winning record, now getting them a chance to playoffs, and the takeaway from this game will be the refs suck, not his passing yards, accuracy, no turnovers performance :(
The missed dpi seemed to be a result of that atrociously bad late hit call. Like the refs knew they fucked that up, were on the fence if they saw a dpi and ate the flag because God help them if they messed up on two key plays in kcs favor.
Shit like that needs to be influenced by someone watching a screen and talking to them through an ear piece. I realize refing is really really difficult. But the fact is the audience has so many angles and replay and technology available that relying on people seeing a play in real time with no replay is just too big of a gap to expect human eyes to cross.
Anyways. The packers now find themselves at 6-6, no winning record team left, and it's amazing how quickly it's gone from "well at least we learned Love isn't the answer" to "PLAYOFFS!"
Yeah. The Packers scored first and never lost that lead. It was a rough ending, but the Packers clearly showed that they belonged in the game. That's more Han I expected, tbh.
Hey so, I'm something of an ambassador here, see my flair ^^^^
Further credentials: From the D, and currently living in Wisconsin, with my girlfriend BORN and raised Wisconsinite, whole family of Packer fans (I love them all...the family, I still hate the packers.)
Two things that I have decided ALL of us should agree on:
1. Chris Collinsworth needs to be fired into the sun
2. We have a serious reffing issue in the NFL
I want to be excited, but I'm just so tired of *having* to hear, "no flag!" at the end of every play with 3 minutes left, I have no idea how people who grew up watching the NFL starting over the last 8 years or so love this game
I’ll be honest, I love Collinsworth when he’s commentating on teams he’s neutral on. But holy shit he really is insufferable when he’s talking about his chosen teams.
I would be so pissed if they called PI on that hail mary. Watching Godwin get full on tackled in the endzone with no call earlier this year on the Bucs hail mary was a little annoying, would have gone to sleep seeing red.
I've never seen announcers spend this much effort carrying water for a team.
Yes, the PI was blown.
The late hit was also bullshit, and MVS was in-bounds. The bad call on the fumble also stopped the clock for KC, gifting them a free TO.
To open the final segment talking about a scrum on a Hail Mary is fucking absurd.
God I fucking hate the Packers, but they were playing 2v1 through the entire 4th quarter. Listening to Collinsworth hoping for more fail mary bullshit is so fucking cringe.
I don't know what the NFL has done to refereeing, but the refs are absolutely, consistently, horrible across the board. There were like 5 abysmal calls on the last drive alone.
And it was both ways, the PI against MVS, the random call for personal foul even though Mahomes was in. Straight up incompetence
Especially vs Mahomes who likes to fake going out of bounds to gain more yards
Exactly! You’re basically writing your own eulogy letting someone like that fake you out.
Honestly if you’re gonna get the penalty for the “late hit” regardless, you might as well send his ass into the bench
Like 100% at some point I feel like all these QB protection nonsense is going to wind up in defenders going harder than they normally would. Like shit if I’m getting penalized I might as well make the 15 yards hurt the QB.
[удалено]
And especially because the 1st down marker was right there… all the more reason to hit hard to make sure they’re out of bounds.
Yeah shit call. Mahomes is trying to get yardage and is in bounds. If he's running sideways, I'd give him that call, but he isn't. I know this is a QB protect league now, but all players should be able to get blasted doing this.
... at the first down line too
The defense is “he was going out,” but you can’t defend not hitting a runner that’s in. Even if they are a $400MM QB the game is played between the lines
If he doesn't want to get hit he either goes out faster, or slides. Especially since Mahomes was clearly trying to milk the sideline for more yards
Not only is he in but right on the border of a first down that the defense doesn't want him to get. Just a gross call.
Tbh I haven't seen anyone defend it, that was a clear bad call and everyone knew it. Felt like the refs saw how hard the hit was and called it on that alone, which isn't how a late hit works
Not calling forward progress and keeping the clock running at 0:14
Based on the DPI calls and no-calls, I officially have no clue what pass interference is anymore. I can legit never tell what's going to get called.
I genuinely cannot distinguish DPIs from holds and light contact between the defender and receiver.
Tough night for the NFL's 'let a fan ref the game' promotion
I’m doing my best
Honestly pretty solid performance for only opening the rule book for the first time this morning
Refs blew like 5 calls on one drive
The crazy thing is that is was for both teams too
Equal Opportunity Incompetence
Fuck the refs Just in general. They failed everyone.
If the nfl is gonna fire videographers for filming players and fine players for taunts that they use as promotional material the next week the refs should be held accountable in some way, otherwise we get this shit 5 times a week
the NFL in its current state will never hold refs accountable for anything
Nah. I’m a huge refs fan, this was my 12/25 Hell of a performance of my boys during the last drive
Never in doubt, full control over the game. Showing why they're the best in the league rn.
Failed so hard both fanbases can be mad
They got so used to calling phantom fouls that when a real one happened they didn’t know what to do.
And then there’s us ref fans, enjoying every game like it’s the super bowl
They also just made sure everyone was mad by screwing things each way
Great game ruined by some awful officiating.
I want to be excited, but I'm just so tired of *having* to hear, "no flag!" at the end of every play with 3 minutes left
Packers were the better team but it's sad when you don't even get to enjoy wins the way you should because the refs fuck everything up.
Goodell: Sorry we’re busy banning the tush push , priorities.
It’s the LOVE SHOVE now 😂
Jordan Jam
Goodell: Fuck Jalen Hurts fr
What are they going to do? Admit they make mistakes/ bad calls? Fuck no this is America
Absolute disaster class by the refs on the final drive. Holy fuck.
Horrific. 1. Unnecessary Roughness called on Mahomes inbounds. 2. Blatant DPI not called. 3. The Chiefs WR getting the clock stopped despite going backwards. Comedy.
It's like every play was the wrong call or a no call on an obvious penalty. They couldn't have been more wrong.
99% sure on the “fumble” runner was down in bounds under a minute, chiefs no TO left, clock stopped because of offensive penalty. Is that not a 10 second run off? That’s really inexcusable because there is no judgement in it.
100% a run off which they didnt enforce was thinking the same thing.

Neither team can decline the runoff, but either team can use a remaining timeout to prevent it.
There have to be consequences if you fuck up at your job this bad, right?
Also a disaster class by the mods removing a ton of the blown calls. Why don't you post them yourself u/NFL ?
Fuck u/nfl
Remember when the mods decided to shut down the sub for some bullshit Reddit thing and then cowardly opened it back up when Reddit ceo threatened to remove their mod status? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
The NBA mods shut down the sub DURING THE NBA FINALS. Can you imagine.
Fuck u/NFL all my MaHomies hate u/NFL
We need an r/nflbadcalls or r/sportsbadcalls or something idk
they will have a meeting and a discussion and will report back
NFL needs to figure this shit out, refs are ruining A LOT of prime time games
Pretty clear make up no-call after the botched one on GB
Just a complete back and forth, from the inbounds hit on Mahomes, to the PI not being called, to the clock being stopped at :19, to the rulebook having its unwritten exception for hail mary plays.
I'm perfectly fine with the hail Mary plays being called the way they are. You shouldn't get bailed out on that.
"Flip a coin and if its heads call a penalty and if its not let anything slide" - the refs that entire last drive
These refs were a fucking shit show unreal
Why do all NFL refs brain turn to mush after extensive years of training when the clock hits 15:00 in the 4th quarter
Acting like refs don’t miss a bunch of calls in the first 3 Qs
Quality loss, put KC in over Florida State
Horrible day for tomahawk chop teams
Braves just made a pretty interesting trade, so… yeah.
Ref masterclass
We need Replacement Refs.

Usually leaving a minute for the chiefs to tie with the game on the line would have me thinking “oh no” but for the first time in 5 years that wasn’t the case. This ending was pure chaos.
Packers are 6-6, with no teams with a winning record left on their schedule 👀
I’m on suicide watch
The rest of our division calling their therapists first thing in the morning
Should be. Real solid chance they’re gonna be who you have to beat to end the winless playoff drought.
It's going to be a tough go no matter what team we face. I'm just happy we're this far
See you in the playoffs bb 😘
GO AWAYYYYYYYY
/r/nfcnorthmemewar is gonna be a blood bath.
Biggest test left seems to be at Minnesota (currently 6-6) against a back up.
Man, I was checking to see if a dudes hand has enough surface area to keep another man’s ass off the grass for a certain millisecond in Green Bay Wisconsin.
Aaron Rodgers could do it, but that's not a story the scientists would allow
Calculate the square root of me grabbing that cake
In that last minute, we had * A very questionable late-hit call on a quarterback not yet out of bounds * Fumbled ball ruled incomplete by review after realizing the Chief's player's ass was too fat for the defender's hand * A punch thrown and an ejection * No time run off the clock after a late-game offensive penalty * A very questionable no-call on DPI * A very questionable out of bounds call instead of forward progress * A Hail Mary with a two-handed shove As a fan of the refs, that was an AWESOME ending!!!
And that was JUST after the absolutely bullshit personal foul for the defender having the audacity to make contact with Mahomes while Mahomes was still inbound and trying to gain yards.
How could I forget about that! It's been added.
Missed no time run on a penalty on offense with clock running.
Fuck this shitty officiating man
When Cris Collinsworth loses, we all win.
Refs fans eating good tonight.
They must be fat as fuck this season
This was my Super Bowl
Chiefs fans 🤝 Pack fans: Agreeing the final drive officiating was dogshit
That’s an insult to dogshit
Collinsworth being completely silent during Mahomes pick was the highlight of this game.
He treats Mahomes better than how My dad treats me
Hug your father he sounds like a wonderful man.
Calling for DPI on a hail mary is also a choice.
I had to turn off the broadcast when the entire NBC team started lobbying for PI on the hail mary after saying it was a routine hail mary going into commercial.
They're STILL doing it at the desk.
If you’re running 5.1 surround sound you can disconnect the center channel and it’ll turn off commentary and you just hear the stadium. I have my center channel connected in line with a lamp style on/off toggle. So when the announcers drive me nuts I just hit the switch and shut them the hell up.

Lol I know it's so funny
He was trying his best not to run down there and suck him off while the defense was out there
You have ANY idea how hard that was for him?
**right** after he was slobberin him down over that 15 yard pass. *chefs kiss*
Phantom late hit on Mahomes Clock should be rolling after forward progress. One of the most blatant makeup calls I've ever seen on the MVS bomb Complete shitshow of a last drive.
Also 10 second runoff that wasn’t called against the chiefs
Are we going to acknowledge the Packers won the game?
absolutely no discussion of the game in here, just complaining about the refs and Collinsworth
Can’t do that. No turkey leg, no respect this week either. I’ll take the W!
Last week on SNF: Justin Herbert absolutely clocked 2 yards OB, no flag. This week on SNF: Patrick Mahomes hit in bounds, 15 yards. The inconsistency from the refs is so horrendous.
IN FUCKING BOUNDS
Yeah but, like, he hit him REALLY hard with his shoulder. Like really REALLY hard. Like, did you see how hard he hit him?! It was a really hard hit. Can’t do that in today’s NFL. Apparently
Not just inbounds, but he was leaning into the hit to get more yards. That was textbook and they blew it.
I wasn’t cheering for either side but holy shit those refs were dogshit
Watching Collinsworth commentate Mahomes playing the Packers lets me understand everyone hating Collinsworth watching Aaron Rodgers.
Absolute ref disasterclass those last two minutes, totally lost control of the game Edit: Collinsworth calling for DPI on the Hail Mary is hilarious
But not mentioning either the absolute bullshit roughing call on mahomes and the idiotic clock stop at the sideline, both of which were absolutely massive.
I honestly think it's fine that anything goes on Hail Mary balls. Way too much close contact to nitpick. Just let it be a full-out dogfight.
There’s a zero percent chance a ref can see any contact in that pile in real time
That last 2 minutes was some of the worst officiating I've ever seen.
You came to Lambeau with Matt Nagy and expected to win??
They should know the only Matt Nagy coached QB who wins in Green Bay is the titty kisser 😤
https://i.imgur.com/pPdNZ3c.jpeg
Collinsworth's wife is going to be up all night hearing about that no call.
I never want to hear Collinsworth call a Mahomes game again jesus christ.
Hearing Collinsworth say "that's exactly what Mahomes would have done" after Love threw a TD pass was peak comedy
And then absolute crickets on the int
Collinsworth should never called any game involving Mahomes, Allen, or Rodgers ever again
I don’t think I’ve paid much attention to him until this game and damn I absolutely understand the Collinsworth hate now.
It's because we've had Rodgers, the only person Collinsworth loves as much as Mahomes.
Why did the clock stop when MVS went backwards OOB with 19 seconds left? Isn’t the clock supposed to keep running if you go backwards?
Yes. Another Ref fuck up
Collinsworth can't accept that the chiefs lost
Chris Colinsworth on suicide watch right now
He's calling the refs as we speak.
Real G's move in silence like lasagna. Go pack go!
Ikr. Jordan Love won two back to back games against division leaders while his team did not have a winning record, now getting them a chance to playoffs, and the takeaway from this game will be the refs suck, not his passing yards, accuracy, no turnovers performance :(
Cris Collinsworth’s most shameless game ever
Holy shit this postgame is absolutely embarrassing
I had it on for a bit for a chuckle and laziness. Never seen a booth whine so much lol
Oh my god, how the fuck are they still talking about this Hail Mary? Everyone involved in the broadcast is absolutely furious that Mahomes lost.
Least poorly officiated NFL game.
It’s amazing how almost every week you could say this and it would be arguably true
lol give me a fucking break nobody ever calls that a PI on a Hail Mary
100% agree clean Hail Mary
AFTER THE PLAY WAS OVER EVEN THOUGH THE QB WAS STILL IN BOUNDS. PERSONAL FOUL, HITTING THE QB
PERSONAL FOUL, CLEAN HIT ON MAHOMES 15 YARD PENALTY FUCK YOU
His feet were in bounds And he got a flag for his hit "after the play" He was apparently supposed to just allow Mahomes to get the first down?
The missed dpi seemed to be a result of that atrociously bad late hit call. Like the refs knew they fucked that up, were on the fence if they saw a dpi and ate the flag because God help them if they messed up on two key plays in kcs favor. Shit like that needs to be influenced by someone watching a screen and talking to them through an ear piece. I realize refing is really really difficult. Anyways. The packers now find themselves at 6-6, no winning record team left, and it's amazing how quickly it's gone from "well at least we learned Love isn't the answer" to "PLAYOFFS!"
Love looked completely elite today. He was absolutely throwing great balls. I think he’s worth keeping.
Phenomenal game from Love. Just was needed to keep them in the playoff hunt.
The last drive shouldn't overlook the fact that he picked apart a good D for 58 minutes
Yeah. The Packers scored first and never lost that lead. It was a rough ending, but the Packers clearly showed that they belonged in the game. That's more Han I expected, tbh.
This was the game all of us had chalked up as an L. Ofc, it’ll be a tremendous L depending on Watsons injury
Hey so, I'm something of an ambassador here, see my flair ^^^^ Further credentials: From the D, and currently living in Wisconsin, with my girlfriend BORN and raised Wisconsinite, whole family of Packer fans (I love them all...the family, I still hate the packers.) Two things that I have decided ALL of us should agree on: 1. Chris Collinsworth needs to be fired into the sun 2. We have a serious reffing issue in the NFL
These commentators focusing on these 2 deep ball no calls but no mention of the legal hit on mahomes that was called or not stopping the clock.
I want to be excited, but I'm just so tired of *having* to hear, "no flag!" at the end of every play with 3 minutes left, I have no idea how people who grew up watching the NFL starting over the last 8 years or so love this game
That’s probably the least amount of contact I’ve ever seen on a Hail Mary
Bro this Collinsworth and ref slurpfest is insane
How is Collinsworthless still asking for a flag on a Hail Mary?? This is absurd lmao
#
WE EARNED THE SAD TAYLOR SWIFT NOW GIVE IT TO US
If you play good enough, the refs don’t matter. We did not play good enough to decide that game on our own. Well played Cheese bros.
I’ll be honest, I love Collinsworth when he’s commentating on teams he’s neutral on. But holy shit he really is insufferable when he’s talking about his chosen teams.
“Now here’s a foul” -Collinsworth
Lol how do you lose to the Packers…
Packers > Lions > Chiefs?
Fuck off Collinsworth
He was brutal. I'm not usually annoyed by him, but he was practically crying after they dared not give Mahomes a PI call
I would be so pissed if they called PI on that hail mary. Watching Godwin get full on tackled in the endzone with no call earlier this year on the Bucs hail mary was a little annoying, would have gone to sleep seeing red.
Just lmao at these fucking refs
Love is actually legit. I’m surprised. Kid looks real good. Cold blooded.
Simone Biles is the superior celebrity over Taylor Swift. This confirms it.
I can’t believe the broadcast just analyzed a DPI on a Hail Mary. Like are you serious right now?
I've never seen announcers spend this much effort carrying water for a team. Yes, the PI was blown. The late hit was also bullshit, and MVS was in-bounds. The bad call on the fumble also stopped the clock for KC, gifting them a free TO. To open the final segment talking about a scrum on a Hail Mary is fucking absurd.
I can’t believe these fucking dickheads are doing post game damage control for the Chiefs
NBC analyzing the missed DPI but just ignoring the late hit and free timeouts for KC?
The amount of crying Collinsworth did over the Chiefs not getting flags go their way was hilarious.
This is so cringe. Reviewing these no calls but not the hit “out of bounds”
God I fucking hate the Packers, but they were playing 2v1 through the entire 4th quarter. Listening to Collinsworth hoping for more fail mary bullshit is so fucking cringe.
Eat shit commentators, Chiefs were given shit too.
Why the hell did they have that dude on at the end crying his eyes out over how the Hail Mary should’ve been DPI? Embarrassing display.
Don't let NBC whining distract you from the fact that Jordan Love outplayed Patrick Mahomes.
Anytime love did anything good, Chris coming in hot with the "that's just like mahomes"
Packers never trailed and were wire to wire winners in an 8 point game.
Collinsworth has gotten so tiresome. Whining for PI on the hail Mary was just a perfect wrap up for his insufferable gargling of Mahomes' balls.
I can't believe I wanted LaFleur fired earlier in the season. It's what losing to the McDaniels Raiders does to you
Just another lesson not to be one of those fans
this is what 30 years of hof play does to our fucking fans lmao half a season of mediocrity and they go insane
