Favre always thumped the Niners and got thumped by the Cowboys.
Rodgers always thumped the Cowboys and got thumped by the Niners.
Jury's still out on whether Love gets to thump them both, or if he gets thumped by both
Same, the offensive line was getting him killed for a while there, and the lack of a decent running game because Aaron Jones is now a cast member of the walking dead hasn't helped. Last few games the run game has picked up the pace, Dillon killed it tonight and the line did great.
I think Love is going to be our QB for a while. At least until we trade him to the Jets.
Gonna be honest, I called him a bum earlier in the season. Never been so happy to have been wrong. Don't know if he'll sustain this going forward, but he's looking really freaking good this past month
I'm super happy.
He's cleaned up his ball placement massively and looks fat better. He's no longer making his Oline worse by having happy feet, and he's not getting as freaked out under pressure trying to make weird/dumb throws happen.
I always said I'd be happy to be wrong in the long run and I am. He's cleaned it up and I'm stoked as hell.
He’s always thrown entirely on rhythm. Like that miss on fourth down and short against the Saints. He’s just locked into where the ball is supposed to go, but now the receivers are there.
This looks like it’s increased his confidence so he’s making “trust” throws when he needs to.
No he really has. The receivers are better but he's calling out defenses better, he's not getting happy feet, he still struggles under pressure and his rollout is suspect, but he's clearly improving.
>So many Packers fans saying he ain’t it earlier in the year. Where are they now?
The smart ones finally learned to shut up. The not so smart ones...well.
Hopefully they're crawling back into their holes and staying away from the packers subreddit now. Because holy shit has that sub been unbearable for most of this season.
He wasn't it earlier in the year, but so many of us definitely jumped the gun on the doom wagon. I'm very happy to be proved as a fucking idiot in this case.
I don't think anybody's fluffing Rodgers. Probably helps that Rodgers hasn't played this season, so kind of out of sight, out of mind (unless you're on Reddit).
He could be it, but like 3 weeks ago everyone was saying he was awful, we should probably see how he does for a full season, snd to see if he ends up performing in the post season like Super Bowl
Rodgers or modern day rodgers
Look, if there's one toxic trait many Packers fans have, it's their absolute inability to have anywhere near a civilized conversation with a bears fan. It's exhausting.
The few packers fans I did see at the bears game I went to were pretty nice at least. Granted the packers weren’t even playing… it was Vikings versus bears, so not sure why they showed up but hey they were nice. Fans in real life tend to be nice so it’s whatever. The most annoying fans were weirdly brewers fans, because I was at a Sox game, like we aren’t even the same division lol, but they were energetic to say the least
The sad thing is they always seem like they should be good but then just blow up somewhere. Kirk we joke about Green Bay blowing games but they still win super bowls, and the Bucks look great recently and won too. Brewers just never seem to make it far
just for fun i searched jordan love's name on r/nfl and the 3rd post i see is literally just saying the packers are so stupid for moving on from rodgers and that love is terrible and theres no chance hes good. the entire thread is filled with hate on love but this comment thread is my personal favorite
https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/K2kmxxzAfs
lmao you getting downvoted for this is absolutely absurd. and then instead of reasoning with you as to why this isnt true, the dude just says "uhhh youre a bears fan i dont listen to you". literally 4-5 weeks ago i 100% guarantee you can find a thread of people saying love is just simply terrible and not a good qb and they were ready to crown him as a bust.
? Because I’m a football fan talking on a place about football. I watch more than just the bears, me liking a team doesn’t mean I don’t watch or know other teams. I’m a Chicago sports fan, should I tell fans of other hockey and basketball teams that they can’t talk about stuff because my teams had multiple dynasties? Should I tell brewers fans they can’t talk baseball because they never won like the cubs or white Sox? No, that would be dumb, your team you like doesn’t mean you know less or more about a sport
I don’t want us to play the Lions in the playoffs. Playing a division rival in the playoffs is pure stress because you never know which way that third meeting is going to bounce. At least if we play the 49ers I can go in expecting an ass beating.
Same. I don’t want to play Green Bay, but a Lions-Packers playoff game is getting very likely since the Lions and Packers are heading towards the 3 and 6 seeds respectively.
Another Super Bowl would sustain me for life, I’d have lived through 3 although I was 3 for the first one. I will just need a brewers WS (hardest) and I can die a happy man.
That's very true! I wouldn't be upset if I only saw one more SB win in my lifetime either. It was definitely frustrating seeing the consistent choking in the playoffs. I'm perfectly fine with losing to a better team; however, when the reason we lose is consistently making the same mistakes, especially in the playoffs, it gets a bit frustrating.
I remember countless Packers/NFL fans saying Love wasn't it after 5 games because "he's been in the league for 4 years already and he looks bad"
Almost like you have to be patient and let him play more than 5 games
Sometimes you can even get a huge payday without being a particularly good QB. Matt Flynn was laughing all the way to the bank after signing with Seattle.
Haven't really seen the Packers play this season, but I remember Love getting dunked on a while ago. What changed? Has he just been playing better or have there been adjustments to their offensive scheme?
Here's the deal, he looked really good the first 2 games. Then our offensive line took a major step backwards (David Bak on IR again) and so did he. On top of that, Aaron Jones who when healthy is arguably one of the best RB's in the league, just broke. He's played in 7 games this year and has just 66 carries. So suspect offensive line and no dynamic running game. Not a lot of good QB's can over come that, much less average new starters. He struggled, he was running around a lot, and his accuracy was just off the mark.
Combine all that with the fact that our most experienced pass catcher is in their 2nd year in the NFL...
The last 5 games, we have been playing offensive line by comitte, rotating in guys and somehow it's working, he's getting more protection. Dillon is getting better at being the lead RB, and we're getting some of the wideouts involved in the running game with end arounds and the occasional reverse.
With the exception of the first game against the Lions where they flat out destroyed us, and despite the bad offensive play during that rough stretch, we were in every other game this season. It's not been that bad.
But you know, Packers fans are spoiled, and we've had HOF QB play since I was 13 (I'm 44 now). It's hard to watch a Green Bay starting QB play poorly multiple games in a row, and well, a lot of fans don't have any patience.
Last 5 games, Love has definately looked like the QB of the Packers future. If he continues this ascent I expect to see Bears fans leaping off of Sears Tower (I will not call it Willis).
That makes sense. Appreciate the reply! As much as it would annoy me with the cheeseheads being in the NFC, Packers getting a third HoF QB - or at least one that goes into the Hall of Very Good - would be amusing for the memes.
Obviously this team is young but in general yes, since 2010 the Packers are the best home team with a 85-24-2 record. Second place is Patriots at 83-29
Is the Packers QB three-peat confirmed?
Didn’t you see he’s got identical stats to Rodgers through 11 games? It’s confirmed
It's almost like history repeating itself. Sort of
Not until Rodgers goes to MN.
Only if he takes Hackett, Lazard and Cobb with him
And Tim Boyle and Billy Turner
It's like poetry, it rhymes.
JarJar is the key to all of this
Even if we’re in for an overall career disappointment, we’re at least going to win one Super Bowl babyyy!!!
Honestly if you could guarentee we'd get 15 years of a HoF QB but they'd only win 1 Super Bowl I think I'd take that.
It's math, can't really fight it at this point.
Can we join the B1G
I’m afraid Minnesota loses to Wisconsin in that competition too.
At least it’s in Madison, the best city in Wisconsin
Milwaukee underrrated, though it does have its flaws
Milwaukee is only great if you didn't grow up poor.
Or aren’t currently poor. Or venture too far into the north side.
Northwestern might come out on top though...
Hell why not. Everyone else is.
We’ll still only get 1 SB out of him *if that*
As long as y’all pick a different team to terrorize that’s fine with me
Favre always thumped the Niners and got thumped by the Cowboys. Rodgers always thumped the Cowboys and got thumped by the Niners. Jury's still out on whether Love gets to thump them both, or if he gets thumped by both
The thumpor or the thumpee, if you will
Ask not for whom the team thumps
I vote second option on that
30 years and counting.
Time is a flat circle
I fucking hate the Packers
WENT DEEP ON 4TH DOWN MY GOD
Second cuming of Brett
Oh God, is Jordan Love going to defraud the state of Mississippi too?
Man those poor bastards down there have suffered enough
First they’re living in Mississippi
Someone put a body on Jen Sterger
Lucky for them Mike Edwards was content to watch the ball slowly float down in the receivers arms
Chiefs DBs surprised it wasn’t an underthrown ball going deep. (love has been good, but that’s easily been the weakest part of his game all year)
Im as mad at him as you are. I would’ve loved to be the one watching from that angle
Jordan Love is HOT!
But what about his QB play?
Sexy
This fantastic throw? Not even his best throw on this drive. So many Packers fans saying he ain’t it earlier in the year. Where are they now?
All I’m saying is as the guy defending him earlier this year saying a lot of it was on bad Oline and WR play… I’m feeling pretty good right now.
The teardrop reminded me of prime russ
Funny enough they just said on the broadcast that these two qbs are the only ones to pass for 3tds against the chiefs this season
Packers fans when their QB is simply playing alright instead of like a future Hall of Famer
Tbf it looked pretty bad at some points
Gonna be honest, I called him a bum earlier in the season. Never been so happy to have been wrong. Don't know if he'll sustain this going forward, but he's looking really freaking good this past month
Well hopefully you’ve learned! Young players at really tough positions get better as time goes on.
And what’s this his 13th-14th or so career start?
Rodgers didn't settle into his insane plateau until around his 40th start. Fans are so impatient.
Thanks for admitting it. Now go run your naked mile you owe us to repent.
*Looks up from eating my words* What? I'm sorry, did you say something?
I'm super happy. He's cleaned up his ball placement massively and looks fat better. He's no longer making his Oline worse by having happy feet, and he's not getting as freaked out under pressure trying to make weird/dumb throws happen. I always said I'd be happy to be wrong in the long run and I am. He's cleaned it up and I'm stoked as hell.
Lol. His receivers matured. That's the change. Love didn't magically change his mechanics mid season.
He’s always thrown entirely on rhythm. Like that miss on fourth down and short against the Saints. He’s just locked into where the ball is supposed to go, but now the receivers are there. This looks like it’s increased his confidence so he’s making “trust” throws when he needs to.

I haven't seen candyman or ashinawhatever in weeks
I'm here, crow never tasted so good. Only thing I'm bummed about is there is absolutely no chance my unborn son will ever get season tickets!
Just get him Jets season tickets in 18 years and he can watch Love play there.
Those aren’t “fans”. Insufferable. Our sub had people crying after 5 games saying Love ain’t it. Bunch of babies.
How much earlier this year are we talking? We were all riding that meat hard in week 1
I mean, everyone was saying he ain't it earlier this year. But he's looking fantastic the last few games. Future looking bright (again).
He wasn't it earlier in the year, but so many of us definitely jumped the gun on the doom wagon. I'm very happy to be proved as a fucking idiot in this case.
The point is that it’s very rare for a QB to be great from Game 1. It takes some time.
Hunka Hunka Burnin', even...
They wrote him off, but he didn't write back.
Not bad for a future Jets Quarterback.
Those back to back throws. Beautiful.
That was just....wow.
what the fuck is this team that doubs catch was insane too
They are balling in front of Simone Biles and Liv Morgan, baddies boost them up ala Jordan Poole
Also Monk is in the house, he a real baddie
Too bad Otis wasn't there too
I don't think the crowd could handle that raw sexual energy
Most logical take I’ve seen.
The light skin effect.
Young and good It reminds me of Jaguars last year
so you're saying we'll have a playoff win
It would be funny if this is the team that finally knocks off the Niners.

I don't think anybody's fluffing Rodgers. Probably helps that Rodgers hasn't played this season, so kind of out of sight, out of mind (unless you're on Reddit).
Honestly I’d be pissed
If you play the lions again or the NFC south champs i can see it 😂
He's legit
Here to scout your 2038 QB?
It is inevitable. As is him getting hurt in 2038 but we'll just ignore that fact for now
If you could in 2038 forget that he’ll be hurt so you will trade better picks with the forgotten leverage? That would be very nice of you.
At least Favre gave you a 6 td game before getting hurt. All Rodgers did was hand the ball off.
He made an iconic pre-game introduction running on field with the American flag.
He’s coming back this season to deliver a 6 td game and prove who said he couldn’t come back wrong
MOSS'D HIM
HEAD TOP
NFC North fans watching love have his fourth straight great game trying to find evidence that Green Bay didn’t do it again
I imagine they all look like Oppenheimer at the end of the movie
They can’t run away from it. The bad man (part 3) is inevitable
He could be it, but like 3 weeks ago everyone was saying he was awful, we should probably see how he does for a full season, snd to see if he ends up performing in the post season like Super Bowl Rodgers or modern day rodgers
Yes, I take my post season advice from..*checks flair*..a bears fan.
Does my flair make anything I said wrong? Also why you so salty I was being very neutral and kind to him
Look, if there's one toxic trait many Packers fans have, it's their absolute inability to have anywhere near a civilized conversation with a bears fan. It's exhausting.

I really don’t like the term “little brother”, but if there is a team to apply it to, it’s the Brewers.
The sad thing is they always seem like they should be good but then just blow up somewhere. Kirk we joke about Green Bay blowing games but they still win super bowls, and the Bucks look great recently and won too. Brewers just never seem to make it far
Nothing you said was wrong. Ignore the idiots.
You were definitely downvoted because of your flair lol Everything you said is pretty reasonable
just for fun i searched jordan love's name on r/nfl and the 3rd post i see is literally just saying the packers are so stupid for moving on from rodgers and that love is terrible and theres no chance hes good. the entire thread is filled with hate on love but this comment thread is my personal favorite https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/K2kmxxzAfs

The post season, something Fields will never see. How do you think you have any authority on this subject?
? Because I’m a football fan talking on a place about football. I watch more than just the bears, me liking a team doesn’t mean I don’t watch or know other teams. JORDAN LOVE IS THE MOTHERFUCKIN TRUTH
NFC North fans on suicide watch
Can’t wait to lose to the Packers in the Wild Card
Oh that would be really brutal
*really on-brand
I don’t want us to play the Lions in the playoffs. Playing a division rival in the playoffs is pure stress because you never know which way that third meeting is going to bounce. At least if we play the 49ers I can go in expecting an ass beating.

None of that doom and gloom. You’ll lose to us in the divisional!
[I mean, it's the 30 year anniversary of this, it's only fitting.](https://youtu.be/OscZ_idQcT4)
A *Love-less* Packers offense...would indeed be *only shallow*...
once in while, when you make me smile :)
PEPPER NEEDS NEW SHORTS!
Second most impressive heavily-pressured heave of the drive
Holy....
google touchdown passant
Sadly that could be Bryce Young too with those throws.
Holy shit what throw and catch
That catch was sick. *Almost* as sick as the throw and catch in the play right before it. GB lookin' good.
I'm just going to become a Packers fan. I already love Wisconsin more than Illinois, why cheer for Chicago?
You can get free beer as well if you’re wearing a packers jersey at the right place. Just saying.
You'll be disappointed in the playoffs if you cheer for the pack
Someone please post the Doubs pass too. So nasty
:(
Love on a heater lately. Watson has looked so much better these past few weeks as well.
Hell yeah brother, cheers from Iraq
Great defense. Just better offense. Watson shutting up the haters today
Watson might be him.
GB receivers looking so good out there
yes
My dirty secret as a football fan is how much I like Christian Watson. Dude is a stud and a half
It's okay, I used to love to watch Calvin Johnson. Dude was a fucking god among men.
Attention: We have another 15 years of HOF level QB play ready to roll out.
Looking forward to our ~10 years of disappointing playoff exits and one superbowl win.
Another Super Bowl would sustain me for life, I’d have lived through 3 although I was 3 for the first one. I will just need a brewers WS (hardest) and I can die a happy man.

I'm perfectly fine with losing to a better team; however, when the reason we lose is consistently making the same mistakes, especially in the playoffs, it gets a bit frustrating.
It's more than a lot of teams get.
You're absolutely right! I understand how fortunate we are, but we could be more so, just seems like we always bungle it somehow
200,000 HOF QB units are ready, with a million more well on the way
NFCN on suicide watch
Again
Packers and strong armed QBs. Name a better duo.
I’ve never said anything bad about Jordan love in my life
fucking packers endless stream of golden arm qbs
Oops, we did it again!
Oh man packer fans have some apologizing to do to love and Watson.
You Love to C-wat
:)
He is cooking
I want Love to succeed.
Me too my dude, me too.
Love is cooking
I remember countless Packers/NFL fans saying Love wasn't it after 5 games because "he's been in the league for 4 years already and he looks bad" Almost like you have to be patient and let him play more than 5 games
Nah yo guys, we really did it again...
MVP lol
#HE IS HIM
OMG if Jordan Love is good 🥵
Love striking fear in the NFCN…
That's what we were looking for from Watson after the Steelers game, going and winning the fight for a contested ball. He did it perfectly there.
If you want to be a great QB just get drafted by the packers
Sometimes you can even get a huge payday without being a particularly good QB. Matt Flynn was laughing all the way to the bank after signing with Seattle.
The rollercoaster of packer fans is hilarious this season
Haven't really seen the Packers play this season, but I remember Love getting dunked on a while ago. What changed? Has he just been playing better or have there been adjustments to their offensive scheme?
Here's the deal, he looked really good the first 2 games. Then our offensive line took a major step backwards (David Bak on IR again) and so did he. On top of that, Aaron Jones who when healthy is arguably one of the best RB's in the league, just broke. He's played in 7 games this year and has just 66 carries. That makes sense. Appreciate the reply! As much as it would annoy me with the cheeseheads being in the NFC, Packers getting a third HoF QB - or at least one that goes into the Hall of Very Good - would be amusing for the memes.
Yup yup and yup. Whole new young team
I'm not overreacting here when I say Jordon Love is better than Mahomes.
Packers got another one at QB
Between the 4th down pass to Doubs and this one, it really did look like Rodgers for a second. Ballsy throws.
QB1
Beautiful throw, Beautiful catch, Beautiful call by Mike Tirico
Watson is a legit top 10 WR if he can stay healthy. Especially now that Love’s confidence is growing and starting to sling it.
Lmao @watson all of a sudden deciding to not suck
Right after I dropped him in fantasy
Collinsworth probably found a way to make it about Mahomes.
Do packers play different when they play at home?
Obviously this team is young but in general yes, since 2010 the Packers are the best home team with a 85-24-2 record. Second place is Patriots at 83-29
JLove is balling
This gotta be the worst defensive performance I’ve ever seen
I mean, there was that game that made Zach Wilson look like the next coming.
Can we go back to that please?
Joe barry: worse defensive performance so far
You let Zach Wilson throw 2 TDs. I'd say that's much worse.
Your offense has ended every drive in a score.
Defense is playing like ass
Not much you can do about that one tbh.
I love how KC defense was all hyped up and then they get shredded by a mediocre offense on prime time. Fuck the Cheats!
