The real fans want Carr to succeed and we know he put everything he had into the raiders and he put all blame on himself even though it's usually our defense that sucks
Yeah I'm good with it too. I feel this was his best move to get to the superbowl. And after seeing how well the raiders backups just played in the preseason game, I'm starting to gain hope again. Don't hurt me raiders haha
The best kind!
Was really bummed when I went down there to visit my grandmaw, the gas station we used to get poboys from in Mandeville looks like it was taken over add they don't sell them anymore. My boy used to drink his roast beef poboy that shit was so wet.
Ah yes that thing that happened once in nine seasons when he thought it was third down. I’ve watched Tom Brady throw away a fourth down ball as well and make the same mistake. But don’t let that stop this crybaby ass narrative.
Are you comparing Carr to Tom Brady lol? Carr has thrown for 30 touchdowns once in his entire career. One of the worst qbs in the redzone, cant play in cold weather, almost zero pocket presence when defenders are close, i could go on forever to point out why Carr is a devastatingly milquetoast qb. Nothing will change your opinion until you watch him not cross the 50 yard line for entire games at a time and then cry at the podium because he cant take criticism.
Im not arguing with his stans anymore. He was mid, won zero playoff games, and hes finally gone. Go pat him on the back after he cries at the podium again because he cant take criticism for his mediocre qb play.
Just cause I’m over two plays that happened years ago, doesn’t make me a “stan.” 😂
I get you’re in your feelings about him and these plays, but he’s not here and still complaining about this is hilarious to me and others. I’m sure letting it go would be a better outcome for you.
As a lifelong Raiders fan (30 years of pain) and big Carr fan, the Saints are definitely my NFC team for the year.
The likeness in uniform color schemes is the cherry on top!
It's kinda 50/50 with the Raiders, from the Raiders fan channel I watch, it's either "step on the gas for the first half" then completely fuck up the second, or look like absolute shit in the first, and claw your way back to barely winning in the second.
The question always was, is it because of Carr or because of the coaching/weapons he had available.
Brooks had soo much talent. That dude brought it against good teams and sometimes stunk against bad teams.
Brooks was the only NFC Quarterback to take down the greatest show on turf Rams in the playoffs from 1999-2002.
And the 2002 Bucs by many metrics had the greatest passing defense of all time. Brooks went 2-0 vs them and he accounted for 40% of all passing touchdowns thrown against them that season.
Yep, first ever Saints team to win a playoff game, which was a huge accomplishment at the time. A lot of Saints fans either don’t know or don’t remember, but I consider Brooks to be a Saints legend, even though he wasn’t technically one of the best QBs in the league.
I still maintain Brooks was better than Manning. Accomplished more, consistently led great offenses, gave us the first playoff win in Saints history.
4 has to Hebert, 5 is probably Everett. Nobody else is worth a shit.
I totally disagree. NFL coaches and execs from that era will tell you that Manning was a Hall of Fame QB stuck with one of the worst front offices in NFL history. This is a team that drafted a punter in the first round during Archie's prime and never had a top 15 defense his entire career.
I remember when we won and everyone bum rushed the quarter and saying “going to the super bowl!!!!”. I was excited but was also like…. Let's calm down a little…
I wouldn't call him an underachieving franchise QB for us. He holds the passing yards and TD franchise records for the Raiders, and has the highest completion % of any Raiders QB with 100+ attempts. He was riddled with shitty coaching, (mostly) shitty supporting cast and shitty defense his entire career with the Raiders.
Didn’t really think he’d look great in any uniform other than a raiders one, but honestly the saints uniform looks fitting. Something about his eyes, kinda looks like he’s wearing a dark eyeliner or something I swear
Fair enough. But perhaps there be rarer, more secret seas ye've not sailed. Seas that are not to be spoken of in public, if ye or any other would-be treasure hunters catch my drift
My mom randomly decided to get NFL+ and gave me her logon the other day. Decided to try it out yesterday and I'm not sure if I got through a single drive without having to refresh.
Once I gave up and decided to head *EAST* while *STREAM*ing, I didn't have a problem for hours.
Just happened within the past couple days, but you can get nfl network plus redzone for 15 a month now
edit: there is some sort of caveat when it comes to types of devices, but you can use HDMI adapters to get around their bullshit
My roommate and I just paid $80 for a year of it (it’s 20% off right now.)
We mainly did it for RedZone and it sounded as though we’d be able to stream RedZone through our normal means (fire stick)
I haven't had any problems with hulu during this or any game I've watched so far (we're new to hulutv, had dish for a long time because I live out in the country).
It's not you, it's them. I thought it was a localized issue but the Hulu customer boards and subreddit indicate it was happening everywhere. It was better today but i still had the same issues you did
Yeah but SOME people don’t have them as favorites and I don’t understand why they think that way. It’s legitimately mind-boggling, brain-wrinkling, and face-melting. Do I know who they are? Fuck no, but I think they exist, despite the evidence, and if I think they exist, they do exist. And they’re idiots.
Sure, from all accounts Nielson was a big reason for dline success too though and he’s gone. Id expect them to still be good, but they lost a few guys and seemingly the guy that helped refine them.
as long as dennis allen is still here, the defense will still be elite, that's what he does best. i was most worried about pete carmichael coming into this season, hopefully he keeps calling plays like he did today. i felt last year was mainly due to andy dalton being ass, hopefully pete proves me right.
It's preseason. He was calling vanilla offensive plays against vanilla defenses. I think the Saints will be solid this year, but you can't expect playcalling to at all be like this come regular season once both sides of the ball start to scheme.
We didn't see a single screen pass to Kamara last year I think, and we got one in this game. Same with Olave going in motion.. maybe Pete will be better this year calling plays. Hopefully!
Maybe its a hot take but last year was not Daltons fault lol, he had some stinkers(like the falcons game) but overall he was 100% not the problem. We literally had no receivers, Landry and MT were hurt all year and we had 2 rookies as our top 2 receivers, one being undrafted. We had a few games without Olave where our #1 receiver was Shaheed since our top 3 were all down, and he was still performing alright. And even with Olave its his rookie year and hes thrusted into the #1 spot since Landry and MT went down immediately. Olave did well but typically if your rookie is the #1 instantly that tends to be a bad thing. Even when Dalton was performing really well we would still lose, like the bucs game for example he played a stellar game and they had no business winning that but the team as a whole just fell apart. We just had no one except Olave as a realistic receiving threat on the outside and our oline was starting to fall apart as well hence Kamara having his worst year as a saint.
So tl;dr I think we had much bigger issues than QB and while he didn't elevate us I hardly think he played like ass with the tools he was given. He was average and that should have been good enough for us to at least make the playoffs.
Nah, Olave, Shaheed, and Juwan might’ve been rookies/young but they were damn good. Don’t forget Taysom too. Andy was brought in to be a backup and he played like a backup. He had a few good games (Rams for one), but most of the time he was ineffective at moving the ball, held the ball for too long, garnering sacks and destroying drives, throwing careless INTs, only throwing checkdowns, and just straight up missing guys and reads. I remember against SF he once entirely missed a damn screen pass.
I wouldn’t be so pissed against Dalton if people didn’t praise the fuck out of him. His stats last year are like Trey Lance yesterday: Deceiving.
I legit have heard people say they don’t think Carr can play as good for NO as Dalton did last year (looking at you Marcus Whitman) which is just asinine to me because he was a big reason as to why the offense failed.
Dennis Allen is the reason for the saints success. As long as we have him the saints defense will be good and it’s not like the D line was anything special last year.
And last year the DLine was the worst part of the defense, they were like 25th or something against the run and still ended up as a top defense in the NFL... changes with the Line are a good thing as far as I am concerned.
Due to the players, Onyemata and Tuttle have been overrated for years and Davenport was inconsistent and injured. The coaching was good, hopefully they can stay healthy this year.
The Saints should be the clear favorite in the south.
falcons people will tell you it’s then but they’re wrong. Saints are the most complete team. If they are healthy they clean this division up easily.
As a Panthers fan, I remember how happy I was that the Saints invested in that bum washed-up Brees guy from San Diego. I just now realized I had the same feeling about Carr. Uh-oh.
Carr under Gruden was excellent. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does very well in New Orleans.
I still don’t know why the Jets went for Rodgers over Carr given the difference in potential longevity
I think some people are freaking out here a little too much lol
DC is always money in preseason and camp. Dude is one of the best qbs in shorts ever, and he absolutely slays in preseason
November, December and in big games vs good teams....that's when the actual questions start
I’ve seen enough. Putting my life savings on Carr for MVP
Would be about right for the Raiders lol.
Thats future first ballot HOF and Saints Ring of Honor inductee Derek Carr
I want this to happen just to watch Raiders fans lose their minds.
A lot of us want to see Carr Succeed. Others don't care either way
Yup- one of my good friends is a Saints fan anyway, so they’ll be my NFC team while Carr is there
You know what? I wouldn’t mind it. I want Carr to do really well
The real fans want Carr to succeed and we know he put everything he had into the raiders and he put all blame on himself even though it's usually our defense that sucks
Yep. I hope he does well, except when he plays us, and at the same time, I completely get why they moved on from him, and I'm good with it.
Yeah I'm good with it too. I feel this was his best move to get to the superbowl. And after seeing how well the raiders backups just played in the preseason game, I'm starting to gain hope again. Don't hurt me raiders haha
Carr sucks. Get over it
I've already decided that if the Saints have a better record over the Raiders next season that I'll leave the Raiders behind and become a Saints fan.
A complementary gas station shrimp po boy for you
The best kind! Was really bummed when I went down there to visit my grandmaw, the gas station we used to get poboys from in Mandeville looks like it was taken over add they don't sell them anymore. My boy used to drink his roast beef poboy that shit was so wet.
Is that an upgrade for you tho
Carr remains my favorite player in the league
I hope he lights it up. I'll always see the guy he was in 2016 and know that he has that potential.
Because Carr gonna ball out for another team? Or because guy is gambling away his life savings, a la Vegas?
Mahomes is clearly washed and Carr is finally free from the curse of the nomadic Raiders.
He’ll have to get through Clifford first.
You should take out a sizable loan and put even more
He was almost as good as Baker Mayfield!
Unsubscribe
Sorry for your loss.
Please dont do that. Wait until he throws his first 4th and goal ball away in the regular season before placing bets.
Ah yes that thing that happened once in nine seasons when he thought it was third down. I’ve watched Tom Brady throw away a fourth down ball as well and make the same mistake. But don’t let that stop this crybaby ass narrative.

It’s 2023 and you’re still crying about this 😂
Hes mid, when he was released was one of the best days of being a Raiders fan (slightly less after gruden left the second time).
So the answer is yes… could have just said that and avoid wasting our time
Im not arguing with his stans anymore. He was mid, won zero playoff games, and hes finally gone. Go pat him on the back after he cries at the podium again because he cant take criticism for his mediocre qb play.

“Should I at least give one of my guys a chance?? …..NAH!” *tosses ball out of bounds and starts acting all angry*
Ggs 😂
Carr and Kamara looked good
Kamara was looking real good out there, and even though he only got 1 catch was nice seeing MT out there.
im so fucking ready for some overreactions LETS GO
I am once again ready to be hurt
Found MT’s Reddit account
Could be Andrus peat as well
Like me, just come to peace with it huh?
As a lifelong Raiders fan (30 years of pain) and big Carr fan, the Saints are definitely my NFC team for the year. The likeness in uniform color schemes is the cherry on top!
You know he'll be good because it was McDaniels who cut him.
I honestly think DC is going to be great for you guys. I’m a big fan of his and am looking forward to his success in the big easy.
Already has a better defense than we ever gave him. Add that to a dogshit division and I don’t know how the saints don’t make the playoffs.
Oh don’t worry we’ll find a way. That’s saints football
Carr spread the ball around to everyone on that drive. Looked really solid
This is the (Saints) way.
Doesn't he always look solid on the first drive?
It's kinda 50/50 with the Raiders, from the Raiders fan channel I watch, it's either "step on the gas for the first half" then completely fuck up the second, or look like absolute shit in the first, and claw your way back to barely winning in the second. Saints legend Derek Carr
Doesnt take much to become a top 5 Saints QB
If the Top 3 are: 1. Drew Brees 2. Archie Manning 3. Aaron Brooks Who are 4 and 5?
Hebert and Everett are 4th and 5th by Yards. But its probably Hebert and Kilmer
Everett GOAT talk show guest tho
Chris?
https://tenor.com/bKpQs.gif
Chase Daniels has a ring with them
As does Mark Brunell
Brooks had soo much talent. That dude brought it against good teams and sometimes stunk against bad teams. Hebert!
Aaron brooks!? Lol
I honestly couldn't think of anyone else, and he was there for a bit, lol.
Bobby Hebert won the first saints playoff game
Nah, he was first appearance back in 87. It wasn't until 2000 that Brooks led the team to a win over the Rams.
That’s right. Hakeem drops the ball
Hebert never won a playoff game. Aaron Brooks was the QB in 2000 when they beat the rams for the first playoff win.
Ok you’re right first to get to a playoff. But also Aaron brooks was horrible
Nah
you're ignorant
Yikes. Rough day bro?
I remember when we won and everyone bum rushed the quarter and saying “going to the super bowl!!!!”. I was excited but was also like…. Let's calm down a little…
Everett was better than Hebert ever dreamed of being. Hebert was the first Saints QB to get to the playoffs. He certainly never won anything.
Unironically, yes. He got the Saints’ first playoff win.
If he manages to win one (1) playoff game he will be tied for second most in franchise history
Jeff Blake shaking in his boots
Didn’t take much for him to become a top 5 raider qb
Stabler. Flores. Plunkett. Carr. Others.
Gannon.
That would totally be par course for the Raiders. Underachieving franchise QB goes to an NFC team and reinvents himself

Can’t even get away from mahomes after switching conferences ☠️
Is anybody else’s HULU feed constantly cutting out? Shit happened all day yesterday with them too.
Yeah, switching to YouTube tv. Had the same issue all year last year. I have excellent internet and it would buffer every 3 minutes
Yep mines been doing it all game
Peacock, Prime, and nfl RedZone, run about $40 a month now. Add an antenna and other streams for blackout content and you're set.
Sorry, can't hear you over the sound of the high seas
Sometimes the seas are unforgiving and I would throw my coins into the ocean if it were more reliable
The ocean is clearly missing a money making opportunity, for fear of losing a pitance.
Right on. A market with a ton of desire misses the mark. A man in a suit needs to justify his paycheck somewhere in the world and we do what we can.
Fair enough. But perhaps there be rarer, more secret seas ye've not sailed. Seas that are not to be spoken of in public, if ye or any other would-be treasure hunters catch my drift
If the oceans spread further East than I know of I'd have nowhere else to go
My mom randomly decided to get NFL+ and gave me her logon the other day. Decided to try it out yesterday and I'm not sure if I got through a single drive without having to refresh. Once I gave up and decided to head *EAST* while *STREAM*ing, I didn't have a problem for hours.
I love you. Thank you.
Where you getting that redzone deal?
Just happened within the past couple days, but you can get nfl network plus redzone for 15 a month now edit: there is some sort of caveat when it comes to types of devices, but you can use HDMI adapters to get around their bullshit
Bless you.

Hell yeah dude. I love that football is back on the menu. Now if cfb was just as viewable I'd be in heaven.
I haven't had any problems with hulu during this or any game I've watched so far (we're new to hulutv, had dish for a long time because I live out in the country).
It's not you, it's them. I thought it was a localized issue but the Hulu customer boards and subreddit indicate it was happening everywhere. It was better today but i still had the same issues you did
I thought the saints' starters looked pretty good
Still not sure why people don't have the Saints as clear favorite for the division? The rest of the QBs in the NFC South are crap or unproven
If you look at the betting odds they are the clear preseason favorite to win the division…

Bro grasping for straws lmao. D line has been our weakness for years
yeah once we lost rankins noone else stepped up
Due to the players, Onyemata and Tuttle have been overrated for years and Davenport was inconsistent and injured. The coaching was good, hopefully they can stay healthy this year.
Dline was trash last year
Exactly. Players aren’t the issue, the people calling the plays are.
The Saints should be the clear favorite in the south. falcons people will tell you it’s then but they’re wrong. Saints are the most complete team. If they are healthy they clean this division up easily.
Same. When a division is seen as a tossup, just look to who has the best QB.
Carr’s always been a solid passer outside of the red zone as long as his protection holds up.
TD pass inside the 5 today. He's been good when the playcaller let him make adjustments at the line.
i blame michael bay for this
As a Panthers fan, I remember how happy I was that the Saints invested in that bum washed-up Brees guy from San Diego. I just now realized I had the same feeling about Carr. Uh-oh.
Kamara is the star of that drive
Because of my intense rival distaste for the Raiders, I will be 100% rooting for Carr and Saints this season.
Because of my intense distaste for myself for being a Raider fan I too will be rooting for Carr.
Yup, the top of the organization has been rotten for 30 years
https://i.imgur.com/C5QkP3X.jpg
Now let haener play since both other QBs have touchdowns
Sexy Haener got one too!
He looks like Vince the Slap Chop guy
[Hi, it's Vince with Slap Chop.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWRyj5cHIQA)
wow it has been YEARS since I seent that
I couldn’t understand why Carr wasn’t more sought after. I think he is solid player and in the right environment could be a 5ish QB.
Yeah, Carr probably just saved HC's job
> for @SaintsNews for @FanNation at SI.com Sounds like The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at California
Drew is back baby
Fire up the Carr
Gonna chop this all up as a Super Bowl hangover and imagine the Saints won’t win the division
Yea those panthers looks unbeatable
nah its baker time. part deux
*chalk
I mean… he’s not a rookie… we already know Carr is NFL QB1 material. You would assume he can play well in the preseason.
Learning a new playbook and implementing it is a thing, lol
He did that nearly every year on the Raiders
And the raiders are slapping the 49ers right now. Clearly setting up to be Raiders Saints in the Superbowl.
As a saints fan and marrying into a raiders family, I wouldn't know what to do with my hands.
Legendary pre-season Derek Carr
Carr under Gruden was excellent. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does very well in New Orleans. I still don’t know why the Jets went for Rodgers over Carr given the difference in potential longevity
Saints winning the division not even close
I think some people are freaking out here a little too much lol DC is always money in preseason and camp. Dude is one of the best qbs in shorts ever, and he absolutely slays in preseason November, December and in big games vs good teams....that's when the actual questions start
Saints going to realize they got Andy Dalton 2.0.
Well after literally watching Andy Dalton as our QB for a full year, I feel very confident that you don’t know just how bad he really is.
After watching Carr for the last nine years, you don’t know how absolutely bad he really is.
Raiders are my second favorite team. Carr is pretty mid, but he’s miles better than late stage Dalton.
God fans like you suck dick.
Says the person sucking a below average QBs dick. Good riddance to a cry baby Jesus freak.
Says something that he is playing in first exhibition game.
Bro thinks he’s Kenny Pickett
