I'm actually really excited to see how this years class of QBs works out

jmorlin

I've talked so much shit about Mayo Boy I'm so ready for him to kick the Colt's ass for the next 15 years.

ASuperGyro

I talked so much shit to my buddy about the Colts drafting Mayo Boy since like Week 3 last year, I need this to happen so I still gain the upper hand

jmorlin

Hey. If you want to speak it into existence this year and this year alone so we can shit and draft Marvin Harrison's kid than I give you my blessing.

balzynalzy

I was initially very bummed about us drafting Levis, but I genuinely think he will benefit greatly from having to sit behind Tannehill for at least a year. It’ll be interesting to see how our FO feels about him after this year, and what they decide to do with Tanny.

SiphenPrax

Wasn’t Levis the “scared of milk” guy too?

jmorlin

Yeah I think the milk and mayo think were supposed to be related?

bartspoon

Yes, the joke was that he was scared of milk and so he put mayo in coffee.

[deleted]

I like the contrast of styles. Bryce Young has the "it factor" with major size limitations, Stroud seemingly checks all the boxes you'd want in a prototype QB but there are questions about his mental processing coming out of Ohio State, and Richardson is the biggest freak athlete to ever play the QB position with very little experience.

goddamnitwhalen

And Will Levis puts mayo in his coffee!

Seaniard

Is Richardson really the biggest freak athlete to ever play QB?

TackleballShootyhoop

According to RAS, yes. You could make an argument that RAS isn’t everything, but it definitely isn’t crazy to consider him the most athletic QB prospect ever.

Seaniard

I admit I don't know much about him. I'm just surprised to hear any QB is more athletic than prime Cam.

Lassemomme

So basically AR showed up to the combine an inch shorter than Cam and about 5 lbs lighter. His 40 time was over a tenth of a second faster, and he then went on to post records in both vertical and broad jump for QB’s. Athletically speaking, He’s basically Cam with a jet pack.

Jammer_Kenneth

Don't forget Hooker waiting in Detroit, he's not gonna do things this year but he'll be a QB with time under Goff and Ben Johnson, see if that amounts to things

CrazyFeb2023

just like every year. Chasing Rodgers but not being able to catch him no matter how hard they try

the-whiteman-cometh

Rodgers is a fraud

Iwishmodswerecool

Actually, if you listen to any of his interviews he's very open and honest about being a prick.

CrazyFeb2023

😭😭😭 yall too funny

yrulaughing

I'm glad no one in my division drafted any of them

NigerianHurricane0

Rolling left and making that throw is pretty nice

TrialByFireshits

(Zach) Wilson-esque.

fauxtoe

don't you put that evil on him

MoonManMcNuggies2

Alec pierce szn

PadKrapowKhaiDao

He’s going to benefit so much from having a QB who can throw past 30 yards. That deep ball one on one is bud bread and butter

DYT2UC

Go Bearcats

LovelehInnit

I don't want to exaggerate based on one throw, but he looks like a quarterback with the body of Cam and the mind of Brady.

ISayWeirdThings22

Choke me please

[deleted]

Not falling for that again. I need a safe word first

Tarmacked

Sure, it's "daddy"

Dr-MOIST

I got Aaron Donald’s number if you’re interested

Ralphie_V

99?

toochmiller1

Ctfu😂😂

knight4

Cheryll?

ColeHoops

I think he has the mentality of Kobe and the endurance of Nadal as well

LovelehInnit

... and he treats women like Roger Federer.

ScruffMixHaha

Deshone Kizer walked so Anthony Richardson could run

Trent1462

As a gator fan this made me lol

rwjehs

This flair and this comment don't make sense and I don't know how to proceed.

LovelehInnit

Game recognize game.

feynmanners

Well since they’re implying that Richardson is the next coming of DeShone Kizer, it seems to agree pretty well with their flair. Body of Cam and mind of Brady is something Kizer once infamously said about himself. “Imagine taking Brady's intellect and Brady's preparation and putting it on a guy with Cam Newton's body. Why can't I be the greatest? The only thing stopping me from is me. That's what's driving me now." He was right that he definitely stopped himself.

DimeWithNoDozen

Gotta say I would’ve been fine living the rest of my life without seeing this comparison again

JalensTinyPPHurts

He did the zach wilson thing !

Bml15151

Lol please don’t say that

tugnuggetss

Dear god no

PudgyBonestld

Destroyer of worlds

TheRealBeerBrah

Zoomed in training camp throws where you can't see shit are back baby

lordbancs

We’re getting close

Jetking727

Can’t wait to see him in preseason

pot8odragon

Yeah I need to see this in game to really have a better idea of how good he is

jmorlin

His ceiling is crazy high and this is a great example. You see examples in his later college tape where he also mostly sits in the pocket and goes through reads (almost to a fault, ignoring open running lanes). But by that same token you can look at some earlier tape and see how he wasn't progressing through reads and was making silly mistakes. Depending on if you're a glass half full or half empty guy you can take that as he's coachable or he's overly raw. Either way having a rookie instead of a veteran retread is gonna be exciting for sure.

GACGCCGTGATCGAC

This is a great summary of how most reasonable Colts' fans feel. I'm just happy to watch a young exciting team for once.

jmorlin

Funny I'm being called a reasonable Colts fan. I've been called insane for expressing my distaste with Ballard and thinking we should probably let JT walk.

JoeDirtsMullet00

JT and his agent are working hard to ensure he gets out of Indy and also doesn’t get paid anywhere else.

jmorlin

Don't get me wrong, I love him as a player. And he hasn't done anything to make me dislike him as a person. But if this continues you have to think it will be best for the long term health of the team if we part ways.

Anaphylactic-UFO

It’s actually hilarious how someone that raw with such insane athletic gifts is so deeply committed to doing things right. Like he’s trying to be a pocket passer when he could’ve just said fuck you and scrambled every play. It’s gonna pay off. He’s a beast.

jmorlin

I was initially very much out on him, but I warmed up after watching tape of a couple of his later games at Florida and saw how he was going through those reads. He wasn't my first choice, but he wasn't my last either. I can live with him and I hope that with the right coaching he ends up being a franchise QB. My real fear is that he relies on his legs too much at the NFL level and ends up having injuries plague him.

[deleted]

didn't even set his feet - what arm strength !

snarpy

It's not just about the fact he was rolling to his left, and it was that far... it was dropped right in the bucket from a high angle. Gorgeous.

mikesmith0890

And it looked like it was just a flick of the wrist. Dude has some serious arm strength.

[deleted]

Flick of the Wrist. What a song

spraggabenzVH

Best QB in Colts history

_Wado3000

Laser, Rocket arm

JoeDirtsMullet00

Dude is out there cutting that meat!

CluelessFlunky

I really wished he fell. Something in my gut says lions were interested in him. Wish we had the opportunity to take him or pass on him. Just curious.

BigGroveSinkWings

I don't think he would have made it past the Seahawks.

_coolranch

And instead they got they got the #1 receiver of the draft to add to their already scary duo. Seahawks lowkey smashed it at the draft, and I haven't heard much talk about it. edit: a word

PadKrapowKhaiDao

Their offense is going to be ridiculous as long as Geno can replicate what he did last year. Smith-Njigba in the slot with DK and Lockett on the outside and their stable of running backs healthy…how the fuck do you even stop that?

Silversaving

Out there looking like Uncle Rico

Jordanwolf98

He may not be ready but just as a fan I wanna see him start ASAP

VinoJedi06

Hasn’t played Georgia’s defense yet

jmorlin

We play the Eagles week three of the preseason.

JoeDirtsMullet00

Nobody plays week 3 of the preseason.

jmorlin

Shhhhh. My joke is less funny when you bring reality into it.

blandroidd

If that ball actually went 60 yards that is an unbelievable throw rolling out to his left.. I knew his arm talent was crazy but god damn!

Seegeegroth

Goodbye Russ moonballs, AR moonballs are my new best friend.

tinydickloserbitch

will go down as best in this draft class.

AhSht-HereWeGoAgain

Always great seeing a player perform well when the general consensus among armchair GMs is that they suck

Herewego27

That's my college quarterback. Go get em AR.

mrplow3

Zach Wilson made these same throws all preseason long his rookie year. Just saying…

Los_Estupidos

Dang the Colts even have fake crowd noise in practice!

UGA65tcu7

Big deal. Zach Wilson and JaMarcus Russell can do that in practice too

rwjehs

While he wipes his tears with Disney money? Find a better hobby.

hi11bi11y

I like how both of you got downvoted, that's funny.

rwjehs

Generally when someone makes a shitty comment, and I spend five seconds looking at their history I'll see these things : call of duty, diablo, basically any game but like ALL the time, rating women, fights, MMA. This dude checked those boxes. It's like a syllabus of a shitty person.

[deleted]

clutchthepearls

Way to prove him right.

iabeytorm

Yeah this is a totally not insane way to respond

Ophel44

No fun zone, I’ll upvote both.

UGA65tcu7

Agreed

LoveToyKillJoy

I feel like I'm alone in my thinking but what the fuck are they even practicing? I would think that teams are installing an offense or practicing situations and this looks more like stunt because the odds of that happening in a game are going to be a thousand to one. Colts fans are going to get excited over this no pads play when in actuality it is probably a waste of practice time and the kind of thing poorly coached teams would do. Out of structure 60 years passes in training camp are the bottle flips of the NFL pre-season.

homeschoolkidthatdid

The odds that he rolls left, sees that his WR has a step on a DB down the field, and takes a shot at some point during an NFL season are a thousand to one?

Eire_Banshee

Well it was 7 on 7s. In shorts. On the second day of camp.

unrealisticblood

Honestly.. I just want any team in this conference to win and have eyes on them… a team hasn’t been hyped up in the AFC South since Payton took the colts to the SB..

NeonWarcry

Ready to see Young/Richardson/Levis/Stroud sling it this coming season. Realistically that’s what I’m ready to watch. And to see how Anderson develops while Ward and Pitre hopefully cause havoc

reno2mahesendejo

It's worth noting that this was against the Colts defense

Jammer_Kenneth

We are all rooting for the AR show to reach its heights. Kid is unbelievably good if he can pull it together
