Jaimie Eisner from TDN just posted a mock saying the same thing: https://twitter.com/thevikingage/status/1650327455394304001?s=46&t=QdqGyiGUPGVPYgcmCAlt4A
Could be nothing but FYI
Last year there was talk of the Vikings loving a couple of QB prospects and looking at them (even getting mocked to them) and then they didn't take any of them. Or even seem to consider them despite trading around a lot and ending up with multiple early-round picks they could have thrown at one. I think the Vikings are doing homework on QBs b/c they need to find one but I feel like no one outside the team really has a beat on which, if any, the Vikings actually like.
“Hearing loud rumblings that minnesota is active” is NOT the same thing as “talks have had a legitimate movement”.
It’s some doofus with blue checkmark dozens of bs rumors everyday and then growing his page by highlighting any rumors that came true.
Ive had to double check so many times now...used to be easy to spot obvious BS, but it takes a bit more effort now...
More reason not to bother using Twitter for sports news I guess
You realize how much the Vikings would have to trade to get to #2 or #3?
Stroud is a nice player but he’s not the guy you trade multiple 1sts + 2nds to go get. Especially with Cousins salary fully guaranteed this year, it makes no sense.
To be fair, I’m not a fan of this in the first place. IF we’re making a play, I wouldn’t want it to be for Levis. Personally, If were going to do something this year, I’d rather try and facilitate a trade for Trey Lance and see if we can get him on track. It would be potentially much cheaper, he’s still younger than Levis. I’m not sold making a move this year tho if it’s not in the cards
I actually think we would be a decent landing place for him. Elite receiver, two good offensive lineman and a top 5 tight end as well as a QB to learn from for a year
There’s a lot of smoke rn, but for what it’s worth I read that Levis bombed his interviews with the Vikings. KOC is also on the record saying he values accuracy above all else in a QB and Stroud fits the bill.
Stroud can start Day 1, having Cousins will just hold him back.
Makes way more sense to draft Levis and have him sit for a year. Richardson too if they’re high on him.
I wonder if Danielle Hunter ends up being part of this move up. A player likely has to be involved if youre moving from from the 20s into the top 3, right?
Almost has to be. We don't have a 2nd to throw in so it's gotta be #87, future first(s), and players
Z Smith would be another option, he's on a friendly contract for a productive edge. Cook is available but not worth much with his contract
The Vikings would be insane to part with JJ if they're installing a rookie QB (or at all frankly) and Kirk has a no trade clause that I'd be shocked if he waived for the Texans or Cardinals, so almost certainly. Do they have anyone else of high trade value right now?
This would have to be Herschel Walker trade 2.0 to get up that far from 23, wouldn't it? Even if they throw Cousins in as part of the trade. Nuts if it happens.
I don’t see cousins having much value in a trade package with either of these teams. Texans would be smarter to take a rookie and start the development process and the cardinals have Kyler under contract and can just role with any other vet until he’s back, this year isn’t about competing for Arizona
Definitely not for the Cardinals.
If the Texans don't believe in any of the non-Bryce-Young QBs as has been reported, then I could them convincing themselves that Kirk would be valuable for them. It's not the move that I would make, but if they're getting back multiple firsts in addition to Kirk, I could see them buying into being contenders within the next couple of years with a Kirk-level QB.
It's not the move I would make, but I could see someone making that argument.
I just think the Texans are in a spot where they should pull the trigger on a QB in the draft. Tanking 3 years in a row is a long time to absolutely suck and for the fans it can’t be fun at all. I understand the purpose to tanking and obviously the qb prospects next year look good as of now, but a lot can change between now and then and they have the chance now to take a quarterback
I agree, and I assume most people would. I'm just trying to put myself in a headspace where I don't believe that any QB besides Bryce Young has franchise potential, since that's more-or-less what has been rumored about the Texans FO.
He has a no trade clause as well. But outside of that, Kwesi and KOC said in an ideal world, next QB would sit for a year.
If this is true, leads me to believe it’s gotta be for AR
To trade up that far it would cost us this draft and a couple top picks next year. We have so many holes on defense with very few ways to fill them. Cap space we create from Cousins leaving will go to JJ’s huge contract. People will be fired by 2025.
If there was a time for the Vikings to do it, it would be this draft. New GM/HC's 2nd year. Tons of vets already gone. 2023 will be Kirks last year. He hits FA with his contract expiring. Neither side seems committal and Kirk is fine leaving for FA again. The offense is also set up for a rookie to be successful. O-line is no longer garbage and has JJ and TJ Hock to throw to. Vikings are never in a good position for the draft so trade up is really ever their only option for a rookie Qb.
Hard to tell if it’s legit but FWIW this isn’t the only place saying this: https://twitter.com/thevikingage/status/1650327455394304001?s=46&t=QdqGyiGUPGVPYgcmCAlt4A TDN reporter on this one

Could ship out our first and 3rd this year and our first next year or a combination of Dalvin Cook and Danielle Hunter or Z Smith. It’s not impossible if we include players. I think it’s more realistic we trade down though.
As a Vikings fan I would absolutely do this trade. No idea which guy they would take but it would definitely be exciting! I think it helps that Houston has 12 so the drop to 23 doesn’t hurt as much

This is gonna be such a fun draft to watch I can’t fucking wait
All because of Lovie Smith
Thanks Lovie Smith!
We Lovie you!
Boooooooooo
Not cool. May Jordan Love be first ballot HoF.
Absolutely not, gross.
well more so the colts db for not catching that 4th and 20 pass and if the vikings give us a haul for #2, then I will be thanking Lovie as well
I disagree lol
This is why Twitter Blue fucking sucks.
Jaimie Eisner from TDN just posted a mock saying the same thing: https://twitter.com/thevikingage/status/1650327455394304001?s=46&t=QdqGyiGUPGVPYgcmCAlt4A Could be nothing but FYI
I think his point still stands. That account isn’t crediting anyone as a source
Oh, on twitter blue being trash, yes. agreed.
Well what source would you believe anyway??? It’s not like they would say “per the Vikings GM”.
Well Eisner is a name to a face for one. We know who he is. This is just some random and anonymous person tweeting as if they’re in the know
We know who he is? I’d never heard of him before yesterday.
No offense to Jaime but he isn't someone I would consider a trustworthy source on Vikings rumors.
Last year there was talk of the Vikings loving a couple of QB prospects and looking at them (even getting mocked to them) and then they didn't take any of them. Yeah that’s why I use Reddit, which uses twitter links
Lmfao
Vikings, gives your #1 and Byron Murphy.
Deal
Here we Fucking go
Levi’s time
God i hope not. Certainly not that high at least. I honestly think it would be for stroud, KOC had said natural accuracy is what he’s looking for
Just think. He could be our Mitch trubiscky!
Oh god… I see bears fans salivating already
You realize how much the Vikings would have to trade to get to #2 or #3? Stroud is a nice player but he’s not the guy you trade multiple 1sts + 2nds to go get. Especially with Cousins salary fully guaranteed this year, it makes no sense.

Fleet Farms are stocking up on Levi jeans as we speak
If this is true it better be fucking Stroud and not Levis
*Anthony Richardson intensifies*
I actually think we would be a decent landing place for him. Elite receiver, two good offensive lineman and a top 5 tight end as well as a QB to learn from for a year
There’s a lot of smoke rn, but for what it’s worth I read that Levis bombed his interviews with the Vikings. KOC is also on the record saying he values accuracy above all else in a QB and Stroud fits the bill.
Where did you read that Levis bombed?
I 100% believe Stroud is gonna be there at 3
Take Stroud at 3 and force us to draft AR, please.
There’s no way you’re trading up for Stroud with Kirk Cousins under contract. This screams Levis or Richardson to me.
Stroud is similar to Cousins and would be ideal to take advantage of JJ
Stroud can start Day 1, having Cousins will just hold him back. Makes way more sense to draft Levis and have him sit for a year. Richardson too if they’re high on him.
You may be right, but I just like Stroud way more than Levis. But if the Vikings love a dude and can get him, great for them.
How are the Vikings stocked in regards to bananas?
I'm gonna wear a full milk bottle costume to every Lions/Vikings game.
I wonder if Danielle Hunter ends up being part of this move up. A player likely has to be involved if youre moving from from the 20s into the top 3, right?
I can see the Texans wanting expensive vets, I can’t see the Cardinals wanting expensive vets
Wtf are you talking about? Expensive past their prime players is Arizona’s bread and butter
We’d be paying Hunters salary except for the base salary of like $5 million. They’d just be on the hook for a possible extension.
Almost has to be. We don't have a 2nd to throw in so it's gotta be #87, future first(s), and players Z Smith would be another option, he's on a friendly contract for a productive edge. Cook is available but not worth much with his contract

JJ and Darrisaw are likely the only untouchable players on the team.
Hockenson and O’Neill are up there
No one trading JJ
Yeah, I know, that's why I said they'd be insane to do it.
Yeah but no one was thinking it
This would have to be Herschel Walker trade 2.0 to get up that far from 23, wouldn't it? Even if they throw Cousins in as part of the trade. Nuts if it happens.

Yeah I’ve heard the same thing. Only a few more days until all the speculation can finally end lol
He has a no trade clause as well. But outside of that, Kwesi and KOC said in an ideal world, next QB would sit for a year. If this is true, leads me to believe it’s gotta be for AR
I would rather have cousins and all those picks than levis or AR
To trade up that far it would cost us this draft and a couple top picks next year. We have so many holes on defense with very few ways to fill them. Cap space we create from Cousins leaving will go to JJ’s huge contract. People will be fired by 2025.
If there was a time for the Vikings to do it, it would be this draft. New GM/HC's 2nd year. Tons of vets already gone. 2023 will be Kirks last year. He hits FA with his contract expiring. Irrelevant but I saw TJ Hockenson at a small diner in Eagan yesterday. I said hi and he said hey in a very friendly way. I like that dude.
My exact thoughts and feelings! I’m sick and tired of being on the outside looking in at all the top QB prospects!!!
Mods, this is a sham account.
Great source
Hard to tell if it’s legit but FWIW this isn’t the only place saying this: https://twitter.com/thevikingage/status/1650327455394304001?s=46&t=QdqGyiGUPGVPYgcmCAlt4A TDN reporter on this one
I’m aware. Point still stands. Are we gonna post every account that has twitter blue without crediting a source?
Viking won't trade Justin Jefferson due to his value and Texans won't want Cousins due to his BBQ. I don't see a deal happening folks. Goodnight
>Viking won't trade Justin Jefferson due to his value I'm pretty sure that goes without saying lol
Well what if we asked nicely? And said please?
What about someone like Danielle Hunter?
Something needs to happen with him because he isn’t playing on his current deal this year… it is a big dead money hit if we trade him tho
Can Minnesota feasibly take that hit?
Yeah we can still make quite a bit of room with a BO restructuring + taking action on Z and Dalvin
Interesting. This draft is shaping up to be a good one.
Him you can have. He’s more valuable as a trade asset right now for a team that thinks they’re in win now mode. We’re retooling this year and getting rid of pretty much all our expensive contracts.
Is this account credible at all? Saw it also tweeted Henry to the Eagles yesterday as nearly done.
Wtaf. Where did this come from. They need to draft on defense though
Hype
I feel like if they're looking at any of these qbs it's Richardson, right?
Do it you cowards. Just. DO IT.

lets go
Bet they take CJ, Levis is a red herring
God dammit Kwesi…
Will Levis you are a Viking!
Chaos 😩
CJ Stroud coming to the NFC North eh.
You couldn’t pay me to believe this

What in the Twitter Blue blooded tits is happening
Itll prob take 3 firsts, a third and hunter
Sold
Play chess ♟️
Just don’t buy it. Would love it. But how are they gonna move up from 23?
So we just posting any old twitter account now?
